hello guys and girls and welcome back to the next episode of city skylines with me before here on eternity Islands thank you very much for joining me so there's a couple of things that I work on and we're gonna be doing airports very very soon a lot so you've been asking about that today we need to deal with the death care situation that's going on in our city we're having death waves all over the place and generally those sort of things are caused because when you set up your city you sort of zone huge areas of residential in one go and everybody moves in all at once and they grow old all at once and then in game they die all at once and then you get like a huge death wave and quite often I do that I sort of pause the game I'll build like a big area somewhere and zone it all in and then we'll get that sort of problem where we're getting death waves around the place I think the lights are all coming on some of these everybody's out in that building the lights are all off and so yeah we're gonna deal with that and I downloaded the nursing care Mart which has been suggested by quite a few people because let's just stop over here why we're talking and watch what's going on down here yeah that's nice and bright as new so there's different mode you can use of course there's a mod that just turns off death in the game stops death waves completely so you could do that but you know that's not that's not within keeping of the game is it and in you know in my mind anyway I'm trying to keep sort of things running as a realistic City you've got a mod that you can use which will sort of spread out the lives of people so when they move in they move in at different ages so instead of all moving in at the age of I don't know what it is but say 20 years old and then die when they're 80 and then that's it so they live for 60 years and you know that's the way the game sort of works it out so it would spread it out someone moving at 20 some are moving at 50 some are 35 and you can see where that's going it's not that's one option I thought you know that that's just like a behind-the-scenes thing there'd be nothing that we can sort of do in game it'd just be a modern it'd be done the third option which was quite good and I've seen it before then a few people have suggested it in the comments as well is the nurse care nursing home care mods and what that does is you can set up using let's have a look at the items down here these ones here so we've got the basic four start nursing home and we have the basic nursing home so this is like the thicker one this is the smaller one and you can set up these blocks builder in in an area and it will encourage the older citizens to move out of where they are at the moment into the nursing homes and that will encourage more people to move in into the houses that they vacated and it just sort of helps you to manage more the age of your population and if your nursing home fills up as well you can make some money but as you can see here we're down to forty five thousand losing a ton of money I saw the look this is all at twelve percent I'm gonna put these up to thirteen thirteen is normally pretty good I'm gonna put those of thirteen put these at 12:20 encourage people to move in probably not much in there we've got tons of money in the death wave will be over soon and then we'll be fine but yeah we want to try and deal with that so let ask but the time of day up to something that is nice and bright we set that that was a bit bright wasn't it good grief let's go for that we'll turn that off okay so let's have a look around at where we could do some come back they complaining about the taxes don't complain about the taxes okay 13% to high back down again yep sorry trying to rip off my citizens to make some money to make the city last longer and better we made a bit of money there but anyway I'd rather people move in so let's have a look where would be a good retirement place we're probably gonna want a few sort of dotted around the place I mean if we have a look and the death care one up here nice people these there we go so we do have cemeteries and things dotted around when it's full is it yeah no more room let us do that so we didn't have these dotted around the place obviously that one's empty got crematorium Crematory and got a cemetery down there I tend to use both just sort of spread it out a bit and traffic isn't bad in this area you take a look at the traffic I mean there's it's busy the red just means busy a little bit of traffic there a little bit on that corner but it's all moving there's no sort of big long tail back so the horses and whatnot are getting through so that's fine so it's not that because that's that's normally people's first comments oh your traffic's bad that's what it is really so I think what we'll do is we'll try these nursing homes and here we go we've got these two nursing homes here and we'll put in I think some nice big nursing homes in this area and then we'll sort of see how it goes I reckon one I mean what what it's not gonna do is immediately solve the death wave but as new people get older then they will start moving in I think along here along this waterfront is a perfect spot look there's an empty spot right there look at that let's take a look at this nursing home so it looks nice it fits in the forest foundation there we go it's got some satellite dishes on the top it's got some oh it's got a little outside garden area there we go that's quite nifty doesn't it a little barbecue excellent so what was that gonna cost us what was the cost of that that one is 200 a week cost three and a half thousand not too bad that's 320 a week cause 850 sounds like it sounds like a lot bigger yeah so by the waterfront that's okay so what's it got an educated workers educated workers well educated highly educated quality to lose optic occupied 0 of 80 so be interesting to come back and see how that increases as time goes on and we could even put a little area where we have a few of those but we'll see how that goes but I'm going to put some of these in this city and then we're going to go and do some work with the airport's I think we'll do that today and we'll come back and see how these are going so let us put in a four star and these will upgrade as well so keep an eye on now somewhere in here will be quite nice wouldn't it we've got this little area here that's not really being used much let's add a load off the back here and we'll put maybe a little good time and complex in here why not let's pick a nice Road let's go like that then let's go like that in here I don't want to get rid of that Fielding's maybe stop there yeah that'll do and let's pick the larger of the two there we go so what's this one Oh an earthquake that's okay to the nares these hold 90 and what are the what's this court here at Myrtle bio Pfeiffer no no idea what that Myrtle buyer is nice little models aren't there I like the look of those well okay there's the earthquake right over here there it is we can see we're fine we're fine it's not gonna bother us where are we over here zoom zoom zoom there we go I'm just wondering actually whether I could just move that I'll pay to move it why not have to squeeze in that way there we go I mean facts will not move up one yeah that's what I want with the gap and ready to spend a load of money and actually that cost to move it 1700 hour we've got tons of money so there we go well we'll come back and see oh there we go room 6 of 92 of 9 so people are moving into those already so that maybe will help in this area I don't quite what if there's like a range of effect as well it doesn't seem to be so it's just like a building that they will move into okay maybe something in the middle here and then something over there so let's have a look down here what would be a nice spot down here for a little retirement complex let's have a look maybe somewhere it sort of tucked in the back here if we got anywhere that's a little bit empty everybody's still living here ok here we go right by the modes way about there you can squeak can we squeeze one in can we squeeze one in let's grab one of the basic ones are when squeezing now ok we won't do that then let's maybe make films a little area [Music] what about here well at this little spot here can we do something with this yeah bet we can here we go let's grab let's grab this road here it sort of going like that so it's backing up onto that road there we go and then I'm gonna put should we do this let's have that one over there and we'll have this one over here yeah sort of spread apart a little bit but there we go nice little models I like those so maybe that'll help in that area and then something down this neck of the woods as well let's take a quick look I mean we've got like this is that like a slowed down over here by qdubs Park do we need to get these people hmm to get into their shelters what sort of shelter coverage do we have here entirely sure we've got like one over there that's got no food and we've got nothing down here let's just maybe squeeze one in there is there a concert going on I mean that wouldn't be very good of a tornado coming no there isn't okay let's let's see what happens when that hits I think we're gonna be okay but yeah so just looking along here this little section here we can add a load coming off of there couldn't we let's grab the tree one again it seems quite fitting there we go that'll come down do I want Matt to connected there you know what yeah why not because any extra road connections always help don't they and then we go up here and then we sort of build off there yeah there we go let's maybe have let's maybe have the four stop we'll have a couple of four star and then a couple of basic as well [Music] yeah I like that just like a little a little retirement community looking over the field with the city in the background yeah that's a good idea we'll see how that goes I mean that might be sort of I don't know overkill for that I mean some of these are nearby so they can travel over there as well we'll see how that goes we'll see how that goes right something I saw a lot of comments as well is a people saying put in a taxi Depot we do have a taxi Depot somewhere I've already got one in the city if I couldn't remember where it is I'll show you it's not that that's our trams is that it their bio bus fuel depot recycling center I know I've got one I know I've got one because look we've got people sending out taxes if you've spotted it as I've been haphazardly scrolling around let me know where it is but I can't find if you're looking but I do have one that's trains that's trains that's something else yeah anyway I've got one touch away somewhere it's over here no that's trams and trains oh well where's this tornado oh here it comes now we just need some over here as well let's just check that power cable let's connect that back up again thank you very much oh oh where's it gone there it is do we have to oh my goodness is he just gonna go for it look at straight through the middle hold on to your hors d'oeuvres we're going in I think we should be okay it's like camicazi boat drivers boat drivers flip in it I think they're okay seems to be heading out to sea so let's not be overly concerned I'm gonna keep half an eye on it there's another one going for you let's put some residential care in here as well so maybe something this side and then something that side you could go for one of the basic nursing homes over here I'll look at that the perfect spot to squeeze it in yeah we'll do that one now and then most of that is commercial we didn't have this area here don't mean it's got residential in by the water so I tell you what we're gonna do is we'll squeeze one in and they're right in the middle of the shops like lot of schools got the football stadium in the background if they need it yeah well be glowing again extra but not making any money yet but we're definitely growing again how's this going yeah it's going over that way it's not binding loads or rails or anything nice that's good so looking at our airports and we'll come back and we'll check those again at the end of the episode yeah it's slightly touched a piece of land so I'm gonna tell you all about it again oh it's gone yeah we were fine this is check disaster report no damage excellent that's good and then hopefully the rain will stop now there we go excellent and what's going on here oh is that landfill let's empty that yeah they're gonna start complaining about that so what we're gonna do is we're gonna put an incinerator let's pop it right up there that can empty into there and then we'll get rid of that good so Airport we do have two options of airports now we have the airport the standard airport we don't have 70,000 people yet so we can't use that one but I do have Jack's in International Airport thunderstorm so this is the normal one and then we've got Jack's one here which has got six different gates so I'm wondering whether we could use that larger one over here somewhere and then we could use the smaller one on the other side yeah let's do that so where would be a good spot for this somewhere where it's gonna access two ways to get in and out of the city come and look at the fires that are happening is it being dealt with yeah here they come are well done you get in there sort that five out single handedly with his mate there we go so I'm thinking down here somewhere because we've got monorail we've got trains we've got blimps we've got all sorts of stuff going on down here and let's just have a quick look along here we've got the highway nearby which is running well thank you very much yeah that's what I'm thinking here comes a thunderstorm somewhere over here and then we've got the ferries as well so maybe we'll sort of take one of those areas Oh where's that gonna be stay indoors boy oh man is that gonna start damaging things please don't start damaging things good grief it's a pretty bad funder storm and how far is that spread over this section here whoops every time I press the button to go to cinematic view it I flip the view up in the air don't think that's too bad actually that is sort of this side rather than this side so I think oh man let's hit some stuff there but I think they're gonna be ok good grief we're getting all the storms and stuff today yeah I think they're fine don't think it's damaging anything it's setting some fires but we've got men here we go that we've already got the helicopters coming in dealing with that yeah we'll come back to that oh you need water connection don't you let's just do that quickly before we head back to the other part of our city and he will actually produce some power you can add that too though there's the rest of the power production right so let us use an area here for building we are gonna use trees set on fire yeah we can do with that that's fine we're gonna use the jacks one and let's just have a look at the noise if this is gonna produce so it's quite a ring of noise could we put it on a little island here somewhere like out over here out the way maybe this little section here must replace roadside we can build that up a bit and then we've got connection to everything air or sudden way oh I realize this has been damaged how long has that been like that for we bill the restaurant pier we're back in business folks and immediately somebody upgraded yeah maybe along here would be good so let's just see which way rounds that gonna face that's got to but up to a road and I found a big long road we can test this on yeah so it's the white bit of the back is going to be hitting a road so where would we have the road let's see and we can definitely upgrade some of this to allow for the extra traffic let's grab our four lane small four-lane roads up going to that and then should we do this let's wiggle this down here I want to keep the sand but then it's gonna come here and then go straight am I going to see if we can fit it in there hmm let's just see how much space that get whoops how much space that gives us and then we'll work on expanding the island so it needs to expand at the back and the sides okay well we can do that let's take this one here wash strength brush size yeah bit bigger than that so we take that height there and build that out of it nice to leave this road here sighs that will build this out of it and we'll build that out of it can everybody still get through okay yet looks like it what not to come out a tiny bit more just there there we go lots of sand there isn't that'll eventually turn into grass I'd imagine perhaps and then if we delete that we could actually come straight across there instead let's put in the stream to go there yes that will fit in there space already occupied slope too steep there we go excellent all nice so let's just expand at this area over here a tiny bit just so that's not sticking up weirdly like that yep cool that looks good let's connect this up then so in fact you can just change that let's connect to here don't need to do that I'll do nice a weekly road to get in there I'm assuming that waters gonna drain away I would hope so cool why you need some connections let's get your connections going are we glowing again lots of 50,000 people fantastic that's what we want to see another one where's that one gonna be doesn't say I also see quite a lot of comments people telling me to fix my warning systems and stuff like that I've probably mentioned this quite a lot but when you first start the game without mods you can only buy 25 squares in the middle anything around the outside that I've unlocked by using mods these warning system things won't work so place them as much as you like if the tornado that asteroid the whatever is outside of the original 25 mods it just won't warn you so there you go you see somebody putting that in the comments assuming I'm dumb because I haven't done it properly then you can tell them no won't work it won't work right let's get some power over here let's go along this way maybe not can i hook up to that yes thank you very much oh man the coast for some power I feel like they need some parking and I feel like that water needs to go is it going yeah it's gone again and I some parking along here Beach parking that would be cool wouldn't it so let's find some of that parking there we go just just a small little it's something look two by two we might turn out still on white M by four yeah something like that so we go one that end one of my end and one in the middle one two three four five six seven eight one two three four five six seven eight nine ten to go there there we go and one in the middle excellent and then we'll have a little road run along the back so just a small one-way road not connect well I was just a tornado I think you what the heck's happening now okay is the tornado I think that's gonna be far enough away from my city I will come back and check on those road connections when when that's finished okay I don't wanna load up and along here like I just want to move that load in so it butts up against there so we'll grab the movie at March will grab node node snapping I've obviously not had enough tea this morning can't get all me words in order there we go I mean if we just would have moved that up so that should be okay let's see how that looks can you take that off the screen for me there we go I could probably but up just ever so slightly a bit more so let's try that again oh there we go it's still connected being excellent yeah and then we can put some pathways along here for the people that are walking in so if we sort of go that's what do one this sides I mean he had it there don't let me get in the square much much so do you want at the the back that's nice we've got the airport access here so let's see how are people gonna get in so they're gonna well we want taxis here as well obviously so let's add I think can we put a taxi stand let's actually stand right there as they can walk across and get to that we'll plant some trees and things here in a moment we're working our way up and they can obviously come up here once they've got their cars and now we want to help them get access to all of this to get in and out of the city and what the heck is going on here what there's just so many trains that these trucks are never leaving and they're all D spawning so we know what we need to do here don't we pause we need that to go up and over that load flip you know that's nuts let's grab there we go so you'll carry on that better don't have to wait for the trains excellent yes we want some sort of shuttle to get them from there to over here huh so what could we add I mean we we have a monorail station here we have this monorail line that goes up there I'm just wondering they could split off and bring it down here and add in a monorail I think that would be a good idea so let's just see where this takes us if we grab just the monorail track and try and sort of split off here somewhere let's see I'm gonna take this one where do I want to go I want to come up there and so over here so maybe straight across curving around hmm let's put the station in first so monorail station with load this one here so where can that go in on the curved road there it is right there okay where is this gonna go I went straight out with that could I get across this road okay I can excellent let's take this straight across and see where it ends up okay so just not curving it around you think that once we go like Marx try not to destroy anything if we can come back and fix that in a minute there we go excellence and that can run backwards and forwards from there something like a power line yeah that's powerful everything gone right there so what we're gonna do is we're gonna change that we're gonna get this power to jump across here with some buildings we're gonna put a bit of low density commercial in there and then we're going to connect this up along hopefully they're moving I'll tell you what until they do we'll do that but otherwise nothing's gonna work there we go good so that's gonna take that from here and back so if we just add in there we go routes so we're gonna start a new line that's gonna come down to the airport and then that's gonna go back again there we go excellent so that's Airport to mr. rusty so let's add that name in this one here our line - if we call that that's International Airport - mr. rusty there we go Oh can't spell mr. rusty and it will change the color there we go - yellow good so now people can get in and out from the airport if they so wish here we go yep got them down backwards and forwards already excellent and then from there I mean they can walk they can get trams they can do all sorts of stuff get trains and go everywhere oh man is quite busy into there isn't it hmm I mean this road does go another way as well yeah anyway we'll come back to that good so let's see what did that train track destroyed and roads destroyed darn it I've got some fixing to do oh we have a forest fire raging man without everything today good grief along here by the front well I don't know and it's caught fire to my my whatever this is cooled down here my Harbor I couldn't think of the word well hopefully that will get sorted very quickly with the helicopters oh we won a football match I think I should take a quick look yeah we're just one second than a fifth fish for the six oh I don't know what that was but everyone was suddenly happy over there good I ain't gonna get sorted yeah I think it work we'll have to we'll have to move on so I want to check how are my retirement places going I was at this they might have won a football match over here sent from the fifth 2044 2046 I can't see it no I don't think so anyway let's take a look down here so these this is the first retirement place you put in there we go six of 80 people in there excellent and we're making loads of money again and we're growing again ah this these already might be working well good and then we put some in oh man I can't remember where the other one was it was up the back here somewhere wasn't it here we go yeah we got these two over here so we've got 11 out of 80 and then eight out of 80 in there excellent and then we did put in a large one there we go in here I just saw them complaining about the noise 83 of 1941 of 91 or medical helicopter okay cool so that's good so that's definitely taking care of that over there and then we've got the large one Danny ends here with no water ah hopefully they're still moving in even with no water apologies apologies there we go let's see what we've got in here so 68 of 97 of 80 zero and zero because they were working so these will you moved in you're complaining about noise what noise do we have over here ah okay hmm I might just move them if I do this when I keep all 70 people in let's move them back a bit I'm gonna move them down here my apologies elderly ones I would like to take care of you so let's maybe move them Onis build a road off of here like we did over there so that was 540 it should be about there let's go let's move you move thank you - over here yep still keep all the people you okay in fact I tell you what we'll move you to the other side as well let's move you there and then we'll see how that goes that seems a bit better doesn't it maybe a bit further the way good good good so hopefully we'll see how that goes 54,000 we glowing again which is nice to be put one in here somewhere I can't remember but there definitely work in anyway no we didn't because they were going to travel across there weren't they they are definitely working so have we had anybody coming in what's going on here anybody coming in to our airport yet let's finish off by checking that anybody using it yet visitors last week zero on a we go passengers last week zero so no planes in yet I'm hoping that this hope in this sleek looking Airport works correctly it's all hooked up they've got access to where they want to go we obviously need to do some detail work on there but we'll have to leave that for next time so thank you
