Chrispys' Top 5 Wallets of 2020!

hey guys welcome back to another video alright so today we'll be taking a look at my top five favorite wallets of 2020. this was a very tough list to put together because i'm trying to pick my five favorite wallets and uh it's been a very good year for wallace and picking out five wasn't easy now i always rate my favorites based on style functionality or practicality quality and value value meaning what you're getting for the price not necessarily how much it costs if it's a dollar or a hundred dollars because my five picks here i'm not taking price into consideration it can be any price and yes my top five picks will be in order so i'll start with number five and end at number one but that's enough of me rambling let's get on to number five [Music] so my number five pick of 2020 is the aviator slide wallet of all the wallets that i picked from my top five this comes in right at the top for price it comes in at 65 euros which is roughly 79 bucks but in my opinion it's worth every single penny it's made of aerospace grade aluminum we have this quick access pull strap right here and having this quick access pull strap is very convenient whether you want to get it out of the front the back or even in the middle here on the back side we have this elastic strap for cash and this optional carbon fiber money clip it can hold between 1 and 20 cards it's rfid protected it has this convenient coin tray right here and one of the main selling points is it has a lifetime warranty and it seems endlessly customizable with different coin tray options you can change out the inner frame you can even customize this money clip back here so this ticks all the boxes it's extremely functional super high quality very stylish and yes even at 79 bucks i still think this is a bargain for what you're getting [Music] that's right for my number four pick it's none other than the attenual version two and this pick should come as a surprise to nobody that watches this channel if we're talking about wallets that surprised me the most in 2020 this would be the top pick right here i wasn't expecting much when i received this in the mail but it just blew me away after i got a hold of it and started using it we have a t6 6061 aluminum body that has a hard anodized finish for scratch resistance it's all held together with these a2 stainless steel torx screws it can hold up to eight cards it's rfid protected and it has this dual layer design that's really unique you can see that both sides have this oversized thumb slot that also act as an id window and one simple little thing that makes this one the most functional wallets on this list is this little cutout right here sticking your cards in it has the most satisfying click ah i love it with this oversized thumb slot and cutout makes this an extremely functional wallet and i'll show you what i'm talking about with the slanted cutout right here just makes it super easy to insert your cards and take them out you can even store bills on the other side here just easily fits right in there if you want to get them out remember this oversized thumb slot boom and if you have contactless cards you can easily operate this one-handed push up with your thumb tap stick it right back in no problem now the attenual version 2 comes in at 60 euros which is around 70 bucks so it's right around mid-range based on the other wallets on this list and yes this one might be a little bit more obscure than the other wallets on this list but it's definitely worth checking out if you guys have never heard of this wallet before and that reminds me i will have links below in my description box for every one of the wallets that i'm showing today [Music] that's right and number three i'm putting in the dango a10 adapt wallet this was easily one of my favorite wallets of 2020 and one of the easiest picks that i had in this top five it's made of all aluminum it has dango's patented rail system back here which i absolutely love you can put one credit card here in the rail and four in the back under this back plate or if you don't like the looks of this backplate you can easily just take it right off and what makes this wallet so special are dango's pocket adapters you can use the rail for a single credit card or an identification card or just use one of these pocket adapters that comes with the a10 slider adapter right on it so they fit right into the rail system like this clicks right in and now you have yourself a nice little pocket for your a10 that's the single pocket adapter and right here i have the bi-fold adapter let's slide it on i can't see what i'm doing right there slide it on and now you have yourself a nice bi-fold for your a10 we have three pockets on it and every time you use one of these pocket adapters it creates this nifty little storage area right under it so you can use that storage area for cash keys whatever you want to stick under there and it looks like dango is completely invested in this a10 they just released a phone adapter mount for this back rail and they just released the new capsule slide that fits right into this rail system so if you've been looking for a wallet that needs to transform based on what you're doing that day this might be a perfect solution for you so now you can see why i chose this at number three it would have been my number one if it wasn't for my next two picks and let's see what those are [Music] that's right my number two favorite wallet of 2020 is the open sea leather the hubei now i just did a review on this a few weeks ago and i like this so much to make it my number two pick of 2020 that's how much i like this wallet it's made of full grain batero italian vegetable tan leather and it's all hand stitched and handmade right here in the usa you can see it has this tuck closure feature which i absolutely love and inside here just by the way it's folded together it creates four little pockets well actually three on the inside and one on the back here so total it can hold between seven and eight credit cards and up to 20 builds in this little pocket area back here if you guys can't already tell i love modern minimalist wallets and most modern minimalist wallets are made of aluminum or carbon fiber and that's all i've been carrying for the last few years until i got my hands on this hubei it made me really miss full grain leather in my pocket it's just something about the feel of this and the smell it is absolutely intoxicating for the past year i've been carrying a trayvax contour as my everyday carry wallet that is when i'm not doing a wallet review and then i switched it out for another wallet that i'll get to shortly hint but when i picked up the hubei i put away all my other wallets and i've been carrying this for the past three weeks since i got it and i am not regretting that one bit i went with the bordeaux color for the main portion and chestnut for the secondary color right there and i love how that piece of leather wraps around and makes this pocket and i know you're supposed to put a card in there for quick access but i don't use it for that because i just think it messes up the aesthetics of the wallet as you can see as i said in my review this wallet is so gorgeous i don't want to have a card back there i'm just leaving it just as it is it comes in at 79 bucks which ties the aviator slide for the most expensive wallet on this list but once again 79 bucks is a bargain for what you're getting here just to build quality in the quality materials this wallet will last you a lifetime and maybe even your kid's lifetime it's just one of those wallets that i can say could be handed down as an heirloom item alright so what could possibly beat this out as my favorite wallet of 2020 [Music] that's right my favorite wallet of 2020 is the kenai extol wallet yes i just recently found out this was called the kenai i did a whole video review on this and i was calling it the kini but to my defense they just changed their name and i wasn't sure on how to pronounce it but anyways let's get back to this extol here the reason i picked this as my favorite wallet of 2020 is very obvious it's absolutely beautiful and maybe the most functional wallet of the five it comes in four different variants a four card six card eight card and the highest a ten card and it also comes in multiple colors but of course i had to have the black one now i called the og still wallet almost perfect when i did the review on it and they took an almost perfect wallet in my opinion and improved upon it with this extol the aesthetic changes are very slight but taking a closer look at them you can absolutely see it even little changes like making this business card holder from plastic and giving you the option for carbon fiber here the addition of putting a stainless steel spring down there as opposed to just this plastic spring was a huge upgrade not only in quality but aesthetics too i mean check that out and when i say it's the most functional wallet on this list i wasn't joking there is a reason why i ditched my contour for the x dough well that is until i discovered the bay but let's talk about this one yes this is still my favorite wallet of 2020. even though i'm not currently carrying it you just can't get around the value for what you're getting here the style functionality and quality that you're going to get in this wallet and as i was going to show you before i just started rambling is just how functional this wallet is just the design of this wallet is super smart makes it super easy to get your cards in and out of this wallet and it has that nice satisfying click when you insert a card in here also another example of how smart this design is you move your cards over and it reveals a nice little hidden pocket down here perfect for storing your bills you just stick them under your cards slam your cards shut like a door and now you have yourself a nice little cash carrying solution that's super easy to access and your bills are completely safe and secure down there until you want to access them by sliding your cards over they added a little attachment point up here that's another upgrade from the original stow now you can pick up an x doll for between 62 and 68 dollars based on which variant you choose of course the four card variants the cheapest and the 10 card is the most expensive now even though this is a no-brainer for my number one pick for anybody that watches this channel it was still an extremely hard decision between these two wallets two completely different wallets but i like them almost equal but the extol wins out just by hair as my favorite wallet of 2020. all right guys that's pretty much it
