Celebrity Cruises SOLSTICE - EVERYTHING - cabins, entertainment & FULL tour plus my recommendations!

Hello friends and clients and welcome to my review of Celebrity Cruises Celebrity Solstice this is the original of the five Solstice class ships which are the solstice The Equinox the eclipse the silhouette and the reflection and today I'll be touring you through the ship's public areas I'll provide you with a review firsthand and give you an idea about dining and entertainment on board my me at gary.sendrov at cruiseplanners.com okay let's start the solstice class ships were built between 2008 and 2012 and they've held up pretty nicely there are two main lobbies this one which is larger is the Hub and the Heart of the ship in these public areas they typically have live entertainment almost all day and throughout the night with live music and game shows it's such a great place with a nice vibe I'll also include a basic Veranda cabin a little bit later in this video which is the most common type but there is also a separate video on the penthouse and the Royal Suites so check them out in the description below all right the nice thing about the design of the solstice class is that it's got a very spacious passenger to crew ratio and the guest relations desk was never full and even though we were at full capacity I never saw any lines there and even when I had to stop by it was a breeze this is the second Atrium lobby area which tends to be a little bit more quiet than the main Atrium Lobby they're both a hub of excitement throughout and you'll see anything from a ping pong tournament to public game shows like Deal or No Deal and if you're ever lost take a look at the ship's map which always faces forward true to the ship's Direction the elevators are also well designed as the top lights up when your lift has arrived and inside it's nice that they show you where the public areas are on each deck in case you don't remember what deck you're headed to of course this would not be a Celebrity ship without the popular martini bar with its ice countertop and always full of excitement It's usually the place to be and to be seen [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] Quasar reminds me of an exclusive nightclub with its DJ booth and nice bar this place gets pretty busy in the evening and if you're lucky enough to have a booth to yourself why not order a bottle you'll definitely get better service than any nightclub on land and feel very VIP seller Masters is a place to enjoy Fine Wines and other drinks it also doubles up as a waiting area for priority tenders where they can escort you out if you hold Elite status or higher with celebrity the Sky Lounge is located on the top forward section of the ship and what I really like about it is that it's drenched with sunlight it's a really great place to have a drink and see the Alaskan scenery or watch the sunset or perhaps pull into a Mediterranean Port it's also used for many trivia games and it has a nice bar in it as well there's also a couple of conference rooms which is really fantastic and you can contact me with a large group and I'll set the space aside for presentations or meetings I will be reviewing each of the dining areas but let's quickly take a tour of the main dining room which is over here okay let's have a quick visit to the show Lounge this is the main show Lounge where all of the big shows happen but it's also very comfortable and inviting space they also show movies here sometimes so they do use it for other things as well [Music] thank you [Music] it's gonna be the most well-rested audience I've ever performed in front of because I know for you to make a 10 30 show I do have to say that the solstice theater was a nice space and the entertainment was excellent they had the celebrity singers and Dancers just like you would almost any other cruise with their Broadway style shows along with some guest talents such as Comedians and magicians but what really blew us away was Heather Sullivan she performs for a lot of ships including silver sea Seabourn and region so if she's ever on your ship don't miss her have a quick listen [Music] [Applause] [Music] and if you're a shopper they have some great shops here including one that you can get vintage luxury goods such as Louis Vuitton Chanel even Rolex watches and other high-end products they also have their logo store to buy souvenirs and even a mini drugstore if you forgot something which includes things like seasickness medication or maybe your wristband or maybe you want to buy alcohol or cigarettes hey they're happy to take your money [Music] it's also a great idea to book on board so make sure when you do book you assign it to my agency of course and if you've booked a Celebrity Cruise direct within the last 60 days I'll show you how to transfer it to me and I will get you some onboard credit and here's the photo studio where you can buy the professional photographs you may have had taken while on your voyage the casino was really busy most of the time and had almost every game table you could imagine along with plenty of one-armed Bandits and just a quick note that the public restrooms were actually really clean each time I used them and very well maintained foreign [Music] there are three pools aboard and they tend to get somewhat crowded but they also have an interior pool which is great if there's inclement weather outside okay one of the nicest things about the solstice class is all of the outdoor deck space which there's plenty of the newer ships simply do not have a lot of deck space and I love a great Promenade that you can walk around in and be a little closer to the water as the ship just carves through it foreign and sometimes it's all about the details for example if you're not a smoker contact me so I can help you pick the right cabin and you won't get stuck above the outdoor deck smoking area for those of you who've probably eaten a little too much or you just like to power walk or jog there's a really nice jogging track that circles the pools eight times around is a mile all right the ocean view bar area is a great place to catch a beautiful sunset or to view the wake of the ship as it's right at the top half section of the ship so I do have more in-depth videos of the cabins but let's take a look at a typical Veranda since this is the most common type of stateroom you know [Applause] one really cool thing about Solstice class ships is the connecting cabins they don't have that annoying door between the walls that separate the cabins which is never fun to have if you're not in a connecting cabin with someone that you know so instead they have an additional layer of double doors to access each stateroom and this is clever I think because most people don't take connecting cabins so the Verandas are decent they're spacious but you do have to be careful where your location is on the ship some Verandas are less obstructed and more private than others and if you're in that skinny section of the ship you're going to have that huge overhang and your cabin will not be directly over the water as you can see so this is because of the superstructure of the ship and I can always help you select a good location when you're ready to book I'm actually really good at that now let's look at the dining aboard the solstice we're going to go over the main dining rooms and also the specialty restaurants let's start with the main dining room this is where most people dine which is included in everyone's fare this is open for breakfast lunch and dinner typically there's a model for you there's also the typical Buffet upstairs which is more casual and open more frequently it's always a great idea to download the celebrity app to see your choices of dining as well and when they're open almost Happy will be taking place in the short skirts of death on the X-ray attention for your time if you're an aqua class you'll eat at Blue most of the time which is exclusive to Aqua and it offers lighter and healthier options luminae as you see in this video is the Gourmet restaurant where you'll have most of your meals if you have a cabin in the retreat which would be a sweet on Celebrity and I definitely recommend the upgrade if it fits your budget and the menus Change Daily at each of these venues no matter how long your Celebrity Cruise is still remain [Music] as far as specialty restaurants go there are a few on Solstice sushi on five is as you guessed a sushi place and it's a la carte I'm going to show you each of the specialty dining restaurants and my own opinions of each one but I do like them all I must say so this is Sushi on five get ready for the next one him Murano is the most upscale restaurant on Celebrity Cruises and my personal favorite they prepare the meals next to your table they have the menu with and without the additional upcharge for wine pairing and yes even though you paid additional for this specialty restaurant they also have an additional wine pairing of charge should you choose the lobster was not only delicious but it was fun to watch swapnil prepare these foods for us it's really great for special occasions for sure and the amus Bouche is usually pretty good too and it was different each of the nights we dined there so I'll be giving a couple of more minutes to decide on the food and to explore the menu for you sir we have the creamy main love so basic inside the cup as a garnish fried Julian Lakes final flying and the chocolate creamy soup we have the Philadelphia is with the with the gluten as well and also the Brio skirt for the condiments we have the parmesan cheese tomatoes mushrooms shots and garlic chives and apple Roots everything be good foreign [Music] I hope you enjoy it as much as I love cooking it for you and my name is swapnil it was a pleasure oh the Tuscan Grill is usually a very good option but it was a little bit disappointing on the solstice and the service and food at Tuscan was just mediocre at Best in my experience on this ship and other people on the ship were saying the same thing so we ended up only eating there one time it's a nice venue though the AFT of it is all windows and it looks over the wake of the ship and in the mornings if you're Elite or higher and you do not have a sweet or Aqua class you can have breakfast here until 10 A.M thank you you never know like maybe the boat who knows most of the specialty restaurants are in the AFT area of this deck and now I'm going to show you Le Petit Chef which is really great if you want a mini show included with your meal and I must say the food was pretty spectacular which I actually didn't expect here's some Snippets to wet your appetite as well though ladies and gentlemen allow me to welcome you to really
