First Class on World’s Most Luxurious Cruise

today I'm taking the world's most luxurious cruise for the next 72 hours from Miami all the way to Central America I'll show you exactly what it's like to live on board this brand new Ultra exclusive vessel from a huge Suite to the opulent facilities and of course the fine dining this comes with quite the price tag attached so let's discover if it's really worth it with that let's pick up our story in Miami USA hello from sunny Florida you join me on the way way to the Port of Miami Cruise terminal where we'll be catching our pretty special ship well hello there and welcome back to the channel where we're about to get on board this ship behind me the 7 Seas Grand JW so without any more to say let's go in the terminal here sort out the various formalities and go and get on board as is usual at Cruise ports we'll first need to pass through security which is thankfully super efficient next we're beckoned over to a priority checkin only available to those in high level Suites here we need to check in with the following in order to be issued our key cards with formalities taking all but a matter of moments it's finally time to walk over to the brand new Regent 7 se's Grand [Music] Jour it's 735 ft long she's no icon of the Seas but that's not the point to give you a clue the crew to guess ratio is near on equal which is astounding [Music] first up we'll scan in with our freshly minted Cruise cards this will act not only as our room key but as an ID and credit card on board not that we'll need one of these given all the inclusions we're warmly greeted on board and immediately offered a refreshing glass of champagne so we're located here on Deck five and we'll need to head up to deck 8 to our 7c suite we'll of course be needing the elevator these are accessible just off the main Atrium though there are more to the AF of the [Music] ship welcome to deck 8 which is largely just accommodation with our cabin right at the front on the port side of the ship [Music] Welcome to our lovely 7c Suite but of course most importantly welcome back to the channel Milli so excited to be back let's take a proper look around a stunning modern space that just over 800 squ ft or 75 m in new money first up the living room with comfortable sofa and 42-in TV with On Demand movies and TV shows perfect to enjoy some complimentary champagne and sweet treats there's also a small d din in space along with a countertop coffee machine and complimentary mini bar let's continue on through the living space and into the bedroom a spacious king-size Elite Slumber bed dressed in Rich Italian bed linen oh and the all important charging points next to the bed which is often forgotten there's a dressing table and this huge oval window looking out over the ship's bow and currently Miami next up the compact walk-in wardrobe complete with Regent dressing gowns austo hold all and is safe now for the bathroom all too often Cruise bathrooms are a last thought but certainly not here featuring a Jacuzzi bath overlooking the ocean rainfall shower which could fit four and the all important double sinks for a happy marriage amenity wise we have aquaa galain and La oxitan Overkill yes but am I complaining no will make your creu safer for everyone on board if you hear this alarm and you're in your stateroom pick up your life check ET and proceed to your assembly station immediately I guess that means we're off but where exactly well over the next few days at Sea we'll cover nearly a th000 nautical miles sailing past Cuba Mexico and bise arriving finally into Honduras a completely new country for me back on board the sailway party is in full swing as we proceed to exit Miami Waters not sure sure about you but I'm really intrigued to see how Regent 7 se's lives up to the self-proclaimed Accolade of the world's most luxurious cruise line there's only one way to find [Music] out so now we're very much on our way I think it's time we start thinking about dinner now it goes about saying dinner on board is quite a fancy Affair and I've got just the outfit what do we reckon let's get changed yes you do see correctly I've gone for a full suit this evening but worry not there's still a Sprinkle of nassa in there for good measure star of the show of course is the lovely Millie who looks absolutely stunning this [Music] evening so where exactly do we need to go ah yes deck five and back to the main Atrium with have a grand entrance to [Music] make how's this for a Vibe walking down the beautiful Central staircase on route to dinner okay this marks the first of eight key districts on board the ship which will explore compass rose defined by Regent as immersive and opulent dining with heightened elegance and corporate buzzwords aside it's really quite impressive and unlike any main dining room I've ever experienced on board a [Music] ship so what's on the menu well the first page is available every day of our cruise and the second features the chef's selection of the day and yes unlike many Cruise Lines there are no upcharges listed here it's all included to begin I think a Verve Cleo Rosé champagne will do nicely whil Millie goes for a Hendrick and tonic cheers all let's get stuck into the food it's not all too long before our appetizers are brought out I opt for the aerico ham served with baby arter chokes whilst Millie has the lobster bisque both are excellent continuing the lobster theme for Maine Millie has the lobster tail jumbo shrimp and kingy scallops and I have a steak medium rare with lobster both are served with mashed potatoes and [Music] broccoli with dinner out of the way what is there to do for entertainment on board well I'm glad you asked should we go and investigate the theater no reservation is necessary and as these ships are far less crowded than say a Royal Caribbean mega ship you can always get a decent [Music] spot welcome back from a lovely evening yes welcome back to our room I have to say that dinner was fabulous I love a bit of surf and turf yeah it was delicious wasn't it it really was but for now I think it's time to get some sleep because I'm shattered that jet lag is not the one yeah good night let's waste no time and get changed into my PJs ready for sleep [Music] good morning I slept wonderfully and I do think this might just be the best bed on a cruise ship yet let's go get our first morning caffeine hit then now you can order room service 24 hours a day and have a barista made coffee sent to your room however I'm quite the fan of the IL espresso machines cruise lines have started introducing [Music] so the balcony it's of decent size and along with the two sunloungers there's room for a small dining area which we'll definitely be utilizing later in the voyage it is as I'm sure you can tell pretty windy but that comes with being at the ship's bow worth it for the views in my opinion and now for a quick word from bespoke post a monthly membership to deck 11 for our first morning we of course be eating at lafera it's a beautiful venue with sweeping ocean views in fact in the evening this doubles as the Italian restaurant and here's a sample menu for [Music] you but for now breakfast is on our minds let's go and take a look look at the buffet spread and catch up with Millie being Regent this of course isn't a real Caribbean Wind Jammer Buffet oh no free flowing champagne is on the menu along with caviar service and some more traditional options such as the bakery freshly made omelets smoked salmon and even pancakes our main reason for selecting this venue is the wonderful outside space it boasts simply Divine on a beautiful sea day like today let's settle down with the perfect wake View and assess our breakfast selection pastries check omelette affirmative let's tuck [Music] in with breakfast out of the way I think it's time for us to take a proper look around the 7 se's Grand jawer [Music] we'll start up a level on Deck 12 which also falls under our next District category the outer [Music] decks aside from a spectacular view out over the ship's main pool you'll be treated to scores of vacant sunbeds you'll never have trouble finding a spot here as there's more beds than passengers as for the rest of deck 12 there's a jogging track which is ideal for doing laps if you're trying to hit those 10K steps a day but most excitingly a tennis court which you can be sure that Millie and I take full advantage [Music] of FYI Millie one there's not just a tennis court bow behold mini golf although let's be fancy it's called the heritage of golf naturally it's free to use anytime but like with the tennis Millie is on fire today however if you want to wind things down a little and instead relax by the pool I've got you let's head downstairs to deck 11 and [Music] investigate I'd say on C days deck 11 is the life and soul of the ship it's a lovely space and aside from the inviting pool there's two hot tubs ample Sun beds an attentive staff on hand to cater to all your cocktail [Music] needs now it's a little too early for cocktail o00 so instead opt for a coffee and perhaps well go on then a [Music] cookie I'll leave Millie by the pool to relax whilst we go and check out some more of the ship we'll head all the way down to deck four to our next next District The Atrium here you'll find one of Regent's few upsells the boutique essentially the chance to do some dutyfree [Music] shopping well welcome to the main Atrium you'll probably recognize this from last night when we went down to dinner at compass rose it's absolutely spectacular but it's also where we're going to continue up to deck and check out one of the most ridiculous things I've ever seen at Sea let's go and see what I mean walking upstairs were first met with reception though being sweet guests our Butler can take care of most requests however the real showstopper here is the Fab egg on permanent display it's the only one in the world in constant Residence at sea but what makes this so special is it was commissioned specifically for this ship now it's valued at an undisclosed figure but judging by similar bespoke pieces it's likely to be North of $1 million I make it lunchtime introducing the Shep's French restaurant requiring no reservation and inclusive of course it's beautifully appointed with a lounge area as you [Music] enter for reference drinks ordered on board are free bar a few high-end exceptions but I think I'll forgo the Hennessy Paradise this lunchtime let's go and get seated [Music] we offered some fresh bread and handed a menu let's take a proper look [Music] then to start we both opt for the goat's cheese in pretzel crumb breading with a raspberry and cherry tomato marmalade appetite's wet let's see how main course delivers we had to choose the Cuban Fried Chicken yes it's not French but very tasty [Music] indeed with lunch out of the way we have another food-based activity to enjoy introducing our next District the Arts kitchen this was a highlight of our trip because of how fun and informative John our head chef made it the class lasts for 2 hours and you can cook up to three dishes I think we'll start off with some prco as John guides us through all the steps I'll show you one of the dishes we made today and just like that freshly baked scones this was super fun and a nice switch up from sitting by the pool of course all this talk of scones and given its afternoon and we're in a luxury Cruise should we indulge in afternoon tea served every day in the Meridian Lounge on Deck 5 from 300 p.m. it's a spacious lounge and never gets all too busy I prefer this to the almost mad rush join afternoon tea on board Kun ard's Queen Mary 2 as traditional as it might be as The Pianist begins to play let's take a seat and see what Delights we have to choose from first up tea I'm a little disappointed to see the bagged variety as competitor silvery offers fresh tea leaves but hey a small note this is made up for by the incredible cupcake selection scones and of course he te [Music] [Music] trolley I make it time for our next District the spa this really is an entire neighborhood in itself set over decks five and six it's beautifully designed and really does feel a little pinch me that this is on board a ship now as usual I managed to Source a price list and it's punchy that's for sure as for the included facilities firstly the fitness center which is located down the corridor and up a narrow flight of stairs the facilities are excellent with a large selection of cardio and weight machines along with a separate free weight section however we've come to relax so instead let's head through door number two and into the mail locker room aside from the usual culprits I'm pleasantly surprised to find a cold room this is the second time I've seen one on board a cruise ship and slightly further on a huge sauner I will say being in the male locker room it means I can't share these experiences with Millie but that's what the next area is for a huge largely private space at the back of the ship with hot tubs and Sun lounges I think honestly a lot of the passengers didn't even realize this is here as it's definitely underutilized I make it hot tub: clock let's join Millie and take it down a notch it's definitely been a busy day exploring and um [Music] eating we've both decided this is our favorite spot on board [Music] with the sun beginning to set we really need to think about getting ready for this evening but to continue our relaxation theme I think a quick bath to freshen up before dinner is in order [Music] all dressed up it's time to head to this evening's plans and we've got quite an evening scheduled first order of business is to head down to deck five to Pacific Rim where we have reservations it's the attention to detail that impresses me the most about this ship for example we're greeted upon entry by this custommade 7ft tall bronze cherry tree with more than 2,000 glass cherry blossoms [Music] it's not long before we're shown over to our [Music] table so what's on the menu then as a Pan Asian specialty restaurant there's an awful lot to choose [Music] from with our orders placed we served a delicious specific Rim signature cocktail which is kind of like a m taii to start we share the crispy soft shell crab tempora and the assorted sush platter both being phenomenal for main course I've chosen the tie red curry whilst Millie has the seafood laxer perhaps some foreshadowing for a future Cruise I'll say no more it's always nice walking out of a restaurant without a bill I mean I know we've already paid for the cruise fair but it still feels odd tonight we're back at the theater for another electric performance [Music] to wind down we decide to head all the way up to deck 11 to a new venue the observation Lounge join the Day offers stunning views of the ship's bow but by night it's transformed into into a Sky bar with live music from our resident pianist right the ban making cocktails is the queue we need let's take a seat and gaze at that menu I think a signature cocktail is an order and could you get more fitting than one named after the fairy ship were on [Music] well good morning we both slept wonderfully yet again and have been notified by our Butler our breakfast has been served for us on our [Music] balcony in terms of options you can order anything off the menu the night before this is then delivered to your suite at the requested [Music] time we ordered the scrambled eggs and crispy bacon the French toast and the omelet with sausage and hash browns definitely a lovely way to start the [Music] day those e Glide amongst you may remember we still have one more self-proclaimed District to take off our list that of course is the library up on Deck 11 I find libraries do very much have a place on board cruise ships it's of course one of the few times that you have sustained periods to well do little so pick up that book you've always wanted to read or perhaps what I love to do is some research on your next Port of Call [Music] apologies to change the pace a little but we really must talk cost what did I pay for this Ultra Luxury Cruise well compared to some of the Royal Caribbean ships it's not as bad as you might think in total just shy of $20,000 a week aware that's still a fortune but given we're in one of the best rooms along with all the inclusions yeah it's still a lot of money should we try another lunch venue then we've opted for the pool Grill on Deck 11 which offers up a generous Buffet sele ction of high quality options from Sushi to made to order pizza burgers and sandwiches there's also a menu at your table to order alak cart which we both opt [Music] for Millie goes for the lobster nachos which and I quote are [Music] fabulous whilst I go for the Korean fried chicken burger which is equally as [Music] appetizing it's at this point when notified were under pilot approaching Honduras I'm super excited about this brand new country for Milli and I interestingly as we draw close to shore I spy an old friend would you believe it wonder of the Seas almost a year ago we had the pleasure of a week on board it's quite the contrast to the quiet confines of the 7 Seas Grand [Music] jaw safely docked it's time to head downstairs and check out with our SE passes it always feels strange to set first back on Solid Ground per se after a number of days at [Music] Sea welcome to Honduras welcome thank you so much for
