so it's like mmm so I want to say I like a silly Scott Michael cheat on me wings and beef are telling me sigh you know unless you or whatever [Applause] you do a British accent don't you I've been working on it but my friends and colleagues don't think it's very good I keep the sentences short it was very good mistress of the accents can you do cockney go on and give it a go all right love you want me to give it a go we're talking with Antonia and Salma about you know there are difficulties with English when they got to America sure but in this tour this is and you do a kind of masterclass in accents she's trying to get better I've been doing what I've been a stand-up comedian for like ten years and I was trying to get better at it I thought what can I get better at and it accents so I've gone away discover the secret of doing good regional accents is you need a key phrase to get you started if you're doing the accent once you get that key phrase in your head then you get started I could teach you a lesson I can't do yours I could you want from around Britain I could do to be useful you see they took so if you can you could start playing British people and you know sure Meryl Streep gets them all now and you could be in Desperate Housewives so like the scale sax and so if you want to talk like someone from Liverpool you say this this phrase you say autumn chicken and mechanical you gotta try okay you too I wanted chicken and I kind of call I was there chipping and I want a horse [Applause] I won't fool checking a lock on a pole [Applause] you sounded like you were trying to be a ventriloquist there then once you say it then you can say something properly authentically scouts like you sir autumn chicken and a conical I'm going on the Rob I've got to get a prezi it's meat Gran's birthday story and I think it's a cockney accent I'm not sure when we were filming Batman there was this one day we were filming in central London and Christian was walking to set and there were these two boys and they're sitting there and they're staring at him and we're them goes oi you Batman the other one goes now he's not Batman look his teeth [Laughter] I just thought could our American stars you know do a cockney accent so these are cockney expressions Eastern expressions but written phonetically okay so you will yield get it as we go along so then if you want to read if you write over the way on the screen alright so if you read this phonetically it you should sound like a sender if you get them they're good okay this is very good to this Jamie you got there's any copies in the house yeah yeah yeah you could so but showing that support to panda panda cheese called panted with fries okay depend quarter-pounder four pound of it [Applause] believers we have a message from your leader [Applause] we're waiting hello how are you well thank you cheerio [Applause] so I like I like British accents because they're so sexy how much is it it's about 750 always how much you owe Jeremy you have to mention Braveheart one of everybody's for every business how hard was that for you it was difficult but I was up there and immersed among people who all needed subtitles what did you say and they'd have to repeat it so eventually it kind of worked its way into my lexicon and is it true that Sean Connery helps you at dinner one night he did and he used we were having we're at Auntie Vanya's place and he's Hungarian and he made goulash now imagine Sean Connery saying that word oh it's a Brit rules from a goulash [Laughter] I never forgotten from the UK roller coaster pooper-scooper oompa loompa kawasaki for unrelated words but if you want to do the Geordie accent how people took from Newcastle those words roller coaster and bats koopa Loompa [Applause] Monica rollercoaster rollercoaster first compa pullback scuba blue bar [Music] [Applause] Graham Norton here if you'd like to see even more stuff like that then hit subscribe or don't it's a free world but I know what I do in that situation
