[Music] [Music] hi guys and welcome back to the channel in today's video I'm gonna be taking you along with me through one of the most beautiful but also the most expensive countries I have ever visited so let's pack our bags and get right into it [Music] so something I realized especially coming from North America lights are significantly cheaper to get around Europe but then in the US so for about 55 u.s. dollars we flew out from Barcelona and made it to Zurich Switzerland [Music] okay guys so I am here in Zurich with Yusuf and what I wanted to talk about in this video was how when you came to New York you were telling me how cheap it was for you to be in New York City and I didn't really feel psychology funnik exaggerating I've got like a few dollars cheaper for food and stuff I get here and it's like double the price for everything it's really simple so you go to a restaurant and like coffee with like seven bucks especially like Starbucks Coffee literally like take nine francs really gosh so how do you how do you survive is is that people make more so it kind of makes sense that money yeah and if you're traveling like traveling bring it up or just pack your lunch and did a head breakfast and bring your own beer actually the beers only cheap thing here the beers like cheaper than water here so at least get drunk jr. yeah you said [Music] we spent a few hours in Zurich waiting for a train and then we headed to one of the most magical cities I have ever been to somewhere that I've always wanted to go has been Switzerland and not just any city we're gonna be going to a city called interlaken which is in the middle of the country and it just looks absolutely unbelievable so right now we are at some mall underneath the airport trying to find where we get a train to get there we have no plan B honestly just landed don't ever train ticket don't even know where we go together train tickets but it's all part of the adventure that's going up sir alright guys so we got a train ticket and we're trying to go to this city interlaken but i think we're going the wrong way we bought our ticket which was actually quite expensive it was about 58 US dollars for a one-way ticket there even though it's only about two and a half hours but we don't think we got on the right train everything's in Sherman at the cities are different names and chairman's so we were trying to go to Lucerne and I think it's suddenly Sain as well it's all part of the adventure Michael thank you for saving the day we thought we were gonna go somewhere completely different but Michael we talked on the trans-lux they tell us that we just have to wait about a half hour when you get back on right that's if we don't mess up again [Music] this was a mission to get to which all added to the adventure we had to take two trains [Music] a shuttle and the buzz but we finally made it to interlaken 16 hours later we just arrived in interlaken Jill and I were just talking about how it's been a great day of commuting like it's actually a great day we made a couple of friends there ever a lot of people helped us just kind of get by and 16 hours later I feel good about it and like always we didn't book a hotel or hostel so he's got here trying to find some Wi-Fi and book a place to stay for the night but right that's your job I thought you booked a place Dylan we traveled to four different continents and he's never booked a hotel he always just relies on me - no come on no don't exist if you do without him I was trying to tell a joke he's booked nine out of ten of them [Music] so this is the bombers hustle it's right in the center of interlock in it and I think it's one of the oldest private hustles in all of Switzerland it's also probably one of the cheaper ones for this place it's about $30 per person per night we're staying in the five bedroom Jorn which has two bunk beds right here and then the fifth bed is in this like Harry Potter like room I actually think I'm gonna be sleeping in here just so that I can like leave all my camera equipment somewhere under yonder and this is actually a steal because all the other hostels even just for one bed was 60 US dollars [Music] so last night we got here and it was pitch black but I'm so excited for today to go explore this incredible city filled with the mountains so we're staying here we're gonna build like a cabin and they have a bunch of hostels also is actually very nice for the price this was the cheapest one we found and it had the best reviews and we're also here with Dylan and our new friend Matt you're gonna be in my blog this is Matt from New Zealand we met him last night at the bar over here at the hostel and we're gonna be doing a hike two hours let's go so this is the mountain that we're gonna be hiking today even last night when we got it bill and I were saying how all the mountains that were surrounded by it felt like it was a tidal wave that was gonna come crashing on us being a city boy that I am I'm not used to all these mountains and all this nature but this is just absolutely beautiful and look at this there's someone who just parachuted off of a cliff or mountain if you can see that right there this is amazing [Applause] [Music] so we probably have about another 20 minutes or so is that what you would say Matt 20 or 30 we've been going for over an hour and we just went to this viewpoint it is so beautiful and I want to show you it but I'm not I'm gonna let you guys wait so we get to the top it's much longer than 20 minutes later I think we just about made it to the top I'm starting to see the famous diving board looking balcony right here oh it's gonna make it that much more enjoyable oh we hiked all the way out because you can take a train or a bus for free and we decided we're gonna hike it even if we are wearing some vans and some denim jeans well worth a look at this [Music] [Applause] [Music] alright guys now to celebrate our successful hike we're gonna celebrate with some arugula brow so how much was this I love it I mean this was $7.00 yeah so Switzerland is probably the most expensive city I have ever been to and even compared to America or North America in general it's very pricey this cup of noodles for $7.00 imagine trying to go through college that's like when the haulage gizzy it's like 50 cents per in x7 bucks here but I mean then again we have this abused of best cup of noodles oh yeah well worth the $7 now one of the things interlaken is known for is paragliding this is a good chunk of money at around 180 US dollars but running off a mountain overlooking interlaken is something you will remember forever so right now we're on another mountain [Music] Sebastian our life is in your hands good luck let's do this this is great you've done this before right once or twice [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] so can you afford traveling Switzerland the answer is yes a chocolate bar may cost you $14 and a pizza 30 but if you go to the grocery store you can find cheaper groceries and cook yourself or you can go to Old Faithful I wonder if they have like mix nipples or something big bang menu one cheese that's one bola in New Zealand so if you are traveling Switzerland on a budget you may have the results of McDonald's because our pizza that we got yesterday was $30 that was his single Pizza was $30 I broke the bank man I was $30 it was crazy then for transportation by your train tickets online we use the site called go euro and we were able to get tickets for nearly half the price with only one transfer this time and for a combination no matter your age look into staying in a hostel in Switzerland in particular we met people who are in their 40s and even 50 staying there just since hotels were so incredibly expensive so guys I hope you enjoyed this video and if you want to see more travel videos hit that subscribe button to be notified when I upload next but until then remember to get out and get busy [Music] you [Music]
