[Music] welcome back this is gonna be part two this quick little build series we're doing if you guys have not seen part one please click up here or head over my channel check it out uh just to give a quick little recap we uh picked up this 2005 rm125 for 1700 we're doing black wheels poly sport restyle kit new top end just cleaning everything up and i have an overall profit goal of a thousand dollars just a quick side note i am shooting with a new camera this is the canon eos m50 as you can see it's a little bit wider of an angle uh previously i've been using this huge canon 70d if you guys are curious want to check out this camera you're looking at here go ahead go down in my description i put a amazon link that you can see it over there all right let's get back to the bike as you guys can see this is where we left off we got it all cleaned up now something that bothers me and i urge you guys to please not do it is i see so many times people buy a piece of junk bike they'll throw a polysport restyle kit and then try to charge like three grand for it that is not what we're doing here any bike that i buy any bike that i'm selling flipping building what i do is i go through the whole thing i make sure it all works so in this case brake pads are all good the fork seals are good the linkage bearings everything's tight the bottom end was good the bars are straight the brakes work you know i want to give somebody and sell a bike that i would feel comfortable and confident buying and riding myself all right that's enough talking let's start getting this bike back together first things first i'm gonna get out this ultrasonic cleaner throw those spokes nipples and the rest of the bolts in there and get those cleaned up [Music] foreign [Music] it's looking good but we got one more thing to do before we put the plastics on we gotta lace up these wheels and mount up some canvas [Music] well this is going to make my job a lot easier i just threw this thing up here i haven't even touched it yet look how true it is i mean that is basically perfect so i'm just going to tighten up these spokes and this one will be good to go all right so i got the front wheel mounted up and this is what they usually look like so obviously this one's a lot worse than the rear one so we're gonna have to go to work but uh i don't think we'll have a problem getting this thing trued out there we go much much better we got the wheels finished up they turned out awesome we got the tires ready to mount up now we're going with the canvas i love the canvas not just because i'm an engineer there but these are my go-to tire super grippy super affordable and they last forever everybody loves it dunlop you buy the thing you pay out an arm and leg for it you know you ride it three times it's whooped so these aren't going to do that we have an awesome combo millville 2 front wash eagle 2 rear now what a lot of people don't know is kenda is a taiwanese company so in the past taiwanese engineers who've never even ridden a dirt bike are the ones designing the tires that is not the case anymore in 2015 kenda opened their american technology center right here in north canton ohio so any of these new tires that are coming out are designed by engineers who actually ride which is awesome so all right well enough of my sales pitch let's get these tires we'll get them mounted up i can't wait to see them on the bike [Music] all right so you guys just saw me mount that front one i'm actually curious how quickly i can mount the rear one so i'm gonna put a timer on the screen and see how fast we can get it done here we go [Music] all right there it is not too bad not bad at all the fronts usually go a little quicker um so not too bad for a rear so got these all finished up let's get them on the bike [Music] look how good this thing is looking i cannot wait to get some of these plastics on here this thing will really start coming [Music] together [Music] so [Music] all right so there it is all wrapped up i think it turned out awesome i'm super happy with it uh that stock oem look is really in right now uh all the fluids are changed oil change through gas in the bike i went ahead did the three heat cycles this thing is ready to go i took photos of it i'm gonna go ahead and list it for sale i use facebook marketplace i have the best luck with that you get the most traffic first things first let's figure out how long i actually spent working on this thing it's pretty simple i actually just use notes in my phone i keep track of each of the days how long i work on it so we have a total of approximately 18 hours into this bike which is not bad if you take the thousand dollar profit you divide that by 18 it comes out to like 55 an hour which is pretty good now personally this is just a hobby for me uh the money's just extra so i love coming back here to the shop i love working on this thing so by no means is this my job this is just a fun hobby that i enjoy doing and i can make some extra money on the side so on to the biggest question how much money do we actually have invested into the bike quick recap we paid seventeen hundred dollars for it after everything's all said and done we have a total cost of two thousand ninety two dollars and nine cents so not too bad i just go ahead i keep a google sheets on my phone just to keep track of all my cost all the things i'm buying for the bike so we got graphics tires plastics the top end kit so we kept the cost actually really low on this bike and that was by design i'm not out there looking for the most clapped out roach bike that all these parts are broken on it you know that's going to cost a lot of money i'm looking for a diamond in the rough bad plastics tweaked bars stuff like that roach tires you know that's that's pretty inexpensive i can do it myself in a you know short amount of time and before you know it you got a bike that looks like this that's going to sell quickly and for a lot of money so just like the title says can i make a thousand dollars on this r125 we've got 21 in it we need 31 out of it let's find out 3 500 bucks my phone was blowing up we ended up getting my full asking price that gives us a profit of 1400 on this one so i'm super excited a gentleman named nick actually ended up coming by on the bike so congratulations on the new bike nick and i hope you like it as much as i did i hope you guys like this style of video obviously it's a little different than like a full build series i'm gonna do that again i just gotta find the right bike the right timing i know cameron was talking about doing another build contest if that is the case you guys know i'll be in that one so you'll see some content out of me if you guys like don't like so if you could please leave a comment below about what you know what style videos or what you do or don't like about my current videos that way i can make you know some better content for you guys so we'll go ahead we'll end it here i hope you guys had fun i hope you guys learned something i definitely had fun i always learn stuff and i made a few extra bucks so overall it is a win-win and we'll see you guys in the next one thanks you
