we're going to be flipping this 2004 suzuki rm125 and i'm going to show you exactly how i did it from start to finish in part one we got it all cleaned up figured out what we needed to fix got it all torn down and this is where we left off what's up guys my name is matt burger and in this video we're going to finish getting everything cleaned up fixed and put back together that way we can get this bike listed for sale we'll go over all the numbers at the end of this video all the money and time i have invested in our overall profit now if everything goes to plan i think we're gonna have an awesome bike here for somebody we're gonna make a good amount of profit on this one i'm excited i hope you guys are too let's jump into it and find out [Music] all right once we get everything cleaned up the last step is to use some sort of like aluminum cleaner aluminum brightener uh this is from napa a subscriber actually recommended it to me in the comments so i'm going to go ahead and give it a try and see how it does look at that that stuff is incredible looks like i just vapor home this thing this thing looks awesome i think these parts turned out awesome they cleaned up really nice got most of that big gunk off there's still a couple little spots here and there you guys got to remember that's okay we're not building a showroom bike we're building a bike to flip so as long as the bike is 100 in mechanical condition everything is cleaned up it looks really nice i mean that's all that really is going to matter here this pipe has definitely seen better days there's a lot of this kind of rust on here it's losing some of the paint it's not dented up too bad at all so what we're going to do we're going to wire wheel it up kind of scuff it off get most of this stuff off here that way we've got a nice surface all right we got the pipe hanging here on uh what i would call the worst thing i've ever made in my life it took me five minutes and i am not proud of it but we'll go ahead and start spraying the paint i'm using here is rust-oleum high heat black i'm doing two coats of it now i wasn't really happy how dull and matte the finish was so i ended up grabbing this dupli-color engine enamel that can withstand the high heat it's a semi-gloss finish and i was a lot happier with how it looked if you guys have an original pipe that was black throwing a coat of spray paint on there really makes a world of difference this stuff looks awesome almost looks like brand new so if you guys remember this left radiator was absolutely whooped we went to trusty old ebay and we found ourselves another left radiator so let's open it up and see what we got [Music] this thing is actually in really good shape once we get it cleaned up it'll be perfect a lot better than this thing this thing's going in the garbage [Music] all right next i want to take a look at the seat cover it's ripped in the back here these blue designed ones are just kind of cheap so we're gonna go ahead and take a flat head screwdriver work all the way around i know it's tedious but we got to pop all these staples off i like to use a air stapler i've used the hand ones and just way too tedious pick yourself one of these up they're like 20 from harbor freight you guys can see the model there and the staples i use are the t50 quarter inch all right so we need to re-glue the seat foam onto the seat base here what i'm using is just this 3m general purpose spray adhesive so we're just going to go ahead and take it on here and then go ahead and set the foam on the seat hold it down let it set and then we'll be able to put the seat cover on all right so i just tried putting on this neutron seat cover and i do not recommend this uh it just did not fit right i couldn't get it to stretch i couldn't get the creases out it tore up here at the top when i was trying to get it on uh yeah i did not have a good experience so this thing is going in the garbage i ordered an attack which is the rocky mountain brand that should be here in a couple days and we'll give that one a try [Music] everything has been clean and is ready to get put back together that's kind of the way i like to do it i take everything apart i clean everything before i start putting anything back on it helps me stay organized and when it's ready start getting put back together i can just fly right through it everything is ready to go so let's get moving [Music] i always install new pink oem carb hoses they're super cheap and give it a really clean look [Music] personally i think buying a new air filter is way easier than spending the time cleaning up the old one that was in the bike when we bought it [Music] so we gotta get this hour meter mounted uh what i like to use is this scotch permanent outdoor tape it's essentially just like the gopro sticky tape so we're gonna put some on the back of here and i like to put it right here uh it's out of the way of the fork tubes it doesn't hit and i think this is just a really good spot [Music] next let's move on to the wheels i've said it before but having black rims is a great way to increase the value of your bike and the best way to do this is through powder coat do not spray paint your rims please my friend garrett does powder coating on the side so i was able to go over there have him help me out save some money this was pretty cool now i know a lot of you guys don't have this opportunity so if i were you i would contact my local powder coating business and see how much they charge if they charge way too much or you're just unable to do this you can always go over to rocky mountain pick up their tusk black rims you can get a whole set for less than 200 bucks [Music] these things turn out great i think we did a good job with the powder coating this time around let's start lacing these wheels up [Music] [Music] now that we got the wheels all put back together it's time to throw these tires back on now we are reusing the tires that we took off because they were like brand new but if your tires are worn i would highly recommend getting a new set of rubber if you guys want to see a more in-depth step-by-step process on how to mount a tire make sure to click up here and check out this video [Music] [Music] we are one step closer to getting this bike ready to sell we got the wheels on here i think it looks awesome i always like when the bikes have no plastics like this i think it looks pretty cool but before we get rocking and rolling on those plastics let's take a look and take care of this cockpit area [Music] time for some new grips and we're gonna use a method i've never used before and we're gonna use some spray paint one of my subscribers down in the comments actually recommended i use this spray it on slide the grip on and it'll kind of lock in place and if you guys have any other tips and tricks when you're working on your bikes please comment down below i'd love to see what those are [Music] [Applause] [Music] that actually worked really well it slid right on and and it's already kind of like locked in there i can only imagine it's gonna get you know even stronger as it dries um i actually really liked that method so i might start using that from now on [Music] so here's our renthal bar pad this is a used one the problem is the pad in the middle is just too small so we're gonna do something about it our custom bar pad am i proud of it no will it work absolutely chopped it in half took another little piece of bar pad as my spacer in the middle and now i get my perfect length [Music] i say it every single time my favorite part plastics this is the polysport restyle kit in the oem color this will fit 2001 through 2008 rm125 and rm250s and we're going to finish the look off with some oem style graphics this is just the shroud a couple little extras this is from a company called coremoto cor moto if you guys are interested in this exact kit or any other graphics go ahead send them an email tell them mad burger sent you and they will hook you guys up you guys know how to put on plastics and graphics so i won't bore you with that let's sit down and talk numbers real quick before showing the final product i purchased the bike for 1400 back in january which was a great deal winner is definitely the best time to buy i was able to keep the parts list pretty small on this bike and stay under 500 for all the stuff you see here on the screen now i keep notes in my phone of all the time when i'm back here working on these bikes on this one we have approximately 22 hours in it which is pretty normal for me now before i tell you how much i sold this bike for i got so many people in the comments are like you got to include the shop and the tools that you use in your expenses that's not true profit sure we could dig into that but that is not what this channel is about we are going to be as transparent and open as possible but we are not going to go that into depth the most important advice i can give you guys is to sell something that you would feel comfortable and confident buying yourself there's so much junk and garbage out there please do not be part of it honestly goes a long way be an honest buyer and honest seller it will make the entire motocross community and the buy sell community a better place because of it do on to others as you'd want done on to you we've all been part of a crappy deal don't be that guy 1400 for the bike 471 dollars in parts that's a total of 1 871 and we sold this bike for thirty six hundred dollars that's a total profit of seventeen hundred twenty eight dollars and ninety seven cents this is by far my best flip yet my goal is about a thousand dollars on each bike and that blows it out of the water now i know a lot of you guys like to divide the hour so if you take that 22 hours you divide it that comes out to 78.59 per hour on this one which is crazy best flip yet wait you guys never even saw the bike [Applause] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music]
