today I'm gonna try to beat an immortal Empire's campaign in Warhammer 3 using only trolls as Grom the punch we do start with two units of trolls Stone trolls and River trolls we're gonna be playing on very hard campaign and battle difficulty as always the green skins have three types of trolls normal trolls Stone trolls and River trolls now each of these types have their own strengths and weaknesses but I have a master plan for this entire campaign Step 1 get trolls Step 2 get clubs step 3 hit the bad guys with clubs until they stop being bad with grom's masterful cooking abilities alongside my brilliant planning I might just have some chance to win this campaign so we only start with troll meet which is not a great Omen here I feel like that's of all the things we could start with that's probably the worst I don't think the trolls are gonna want to eat that they might they might but they probably shouldn't I'm not gonna feed him that it also gives only regeneration to goblins and night goblins I don't want that I would say it'll be a minimum of 8 to 10 turns until we can start to get basic trolls I feel like I kind of have to attack this just to get past them I don't want to go back because I can't really recruit anything immediately let's run it what we ought to resolve that yeah I mean it's really a question of how can we completely isolate these guys before fighting the rest of them uh we only have Spirit leech but I mean Spirit leech is not the worst if we can use that on their lord and maybe even these Knights of the realm I am genuinely concerned that I'll get the monetized if I show a close-up of this hero so I will not be doing that okay they're far away they're far away from those archers now not super far yeah these guys never got a good charge in they should take a lot of damage here ah I should have been closer I should have been closer with my trolls they're actually getting like no value though why are they doing so poorly oh overwhelming odor is on her as well that's gonna be very helpful they only have 26 melee attacks and that Spirit leech that is getting a lot of value that vomit got a lot of value these guys are gone ah yeah that's that's quite a bit of damage but we should be able to tank it and regen the regen across the board is going to be massive Grom can you actually get out of there if you could go for oh yeah go for those peasant Bowman these guys are good I mean this is the two units plus the hero uh out of our starting Army and we just rolled these guys with zero losses we will regen 100 of the damage we've taken here they got like a thousand or more value total but it does not matter because we just regen that is awesome before we take this settlement a quick word from today's sponsor a problem but not a massive one ooh 15 bonus versus large that's actually quite a lot but their melee stats are pretty low I can probably just kill everything around them they're not very fast uh the plus 24 melee attack there might not even make that big of a difference but the healing the healing is really big that'll allow us to keep models alive even if we're in combat with spearmen at least for 18 seconds uh yeah we'll run that but now the biggest problem with this campaign in the early game is that it's gonna be at least 10 turns until we can get some more trolls and then the late game the mid to late game the problem is going to be upkeep cost We're not gonna have that many armies they're not going to be that incredibly good they're not the most efficient I'll probably use Grom to just go after those peasant bowmen and these guys I'll leave over here to begin with they're just standing in a line what are they doing actually I don't think they know either they're just going back and forth okay are you me victories in our grasp I've literally just cycle charged him twice through peasants damn these guys are actually trading really well against the spearmend that I mean not incredibly but they're beating them uh yeah no problem at all I'll just wait for three seconds and Grom will be healed up yeah I'll just occupy that no reason not to okay tour of Russ not that far away actually we're very close uh that's what we need for our shorter campaign Victory you should be reasonable should be reasonable and for the long one actually where are these guys is my question oh there's some of them all the way down there yeah I mean this might be reasonable I I don't love this condition yeah I might go for that I might not it's not the best one I've seen for the long campaign victory that'll be it for turn one that was pretty good about as well as it could have possibly gone we took zero damage and did all the things that I could do with my movement range I'll try going for that I think I can just wander and attack that and it's a defeat odd resolve I'll probably go for control points and all of that but not super aggressively I don't expect to win that way I just want to split them up for the most part I like the slightly more open area here and I feel like you can do a lot of Friendly Fire just not function very effectively we can Spirit lead to them the balance of power is actually even which is quite surprising no enemies over here that'll be good allow me to get in I'm gonna take some damage on oh oh that was a lot of damage that was a lot of damage from those field trip you shares yeah 176 value I don't want to be hit by them anymore oh he's so bad at knocking down that wall he's really not hitting it he's really not hitting that gate okay there we go he's finally hitting it want to get out of here we want to get over there but we need to kill those Knights here in first to get them to Route follow the movement orders exactly and without question please oh my God the routing ah okay come all the way up here all the way up here stick there Regen is splitting them up so that we can get good trades that's the real game plan here what is that what is what is that what is happening there why why why why are you doing that why are you doing that okay there we go uh hag Merchant spotted okay well that's right by me that's very convenient I can't do that yet I just don't have enough ingredients with glow inch rooms uh that's actually a good one that is a good one and we're just gonna chill in the settlement for the moment oh these guys lost their army they lost their army that is good in that case I will actually go through the trouble of taking this dude dude dude do why you can you can literally just walk up there there's nothing preventing you from going here it's just a hill there really are some parts of warrior three that need an entire bucket of Polish uh hate Solomon battles so much that one was almost as bad as the previous one but we just played it more efficiently yeah we'll just take this all right could suck it or whatever but I just I want it and yeah things are going well things are going genuinely quite well at this point the settlement battles are terrible but that's not dependent on this campaign that's just in general but no it will be so nice once we can actually recruit other trolls we're just Still rocking two units man it's not a lot they're good units but there's still just two of them or what oh the dwarves took that in oh I do have the stuntial okay stuntial dulled senses uh Saka dwarf settlement should be able to raid them oh they have a full stack and a good full stack at that I don't believe we win that as it currently stands okay I mean they could come back down pretty damn quick oh that's a lot of movement range without even being in force watch yeah no shot no shot at risk that uh I will start building uh here it is three turns trolls there but a boom we do have plus 10 leadership now that will be really significant once we get those trolls that's a war right there yep their balance of power is not very good considering I have two units in all of my armies well all of my Army singular still low could be a problem not gonna be rushing the dwarves right away then I'll probably be dealing with bertonia first and we're gonna max out here we're gonna get all of that all of these guys if we can just survive for two turns even if they take this that is fine I don't think they're gonna attack massive Oracle these guys are a bit terrifying though already five settlements they're gonna be expanding rapidly ooh two armies icket claw coming in there that could be good for me that could be very helpful that's what I expected that's not too bad I'm not gonna even bother fighting this still though next turn not this turn but next turn uh we're gonna have a lot of trolls and once we have a lot of trolls we can just roll them Pentacles we'll grab that I might just go for this oh perfect Vigor and fishy breath for Grom that is worth it for the moment we now have uh 14 trolls plus grong who is an honorary troll okay two turns already there I'll just go for that then they're both here minus 101 that's a war right there that is a war yep luckily they're fairly far away and not super strong pallets of power wise could be a problem with the long term though I really want to expand towards the elves but I apparently they're not gonna let me do that these guys are going to declare war as well they're at minus 133. oh that's that's a bit worse Balance power wise and they're also a lot closer that's oh I saw uh why is the camera here I saw Ryan moving down there yeah I saw it for just a second there okay he's there he's in the settlement I can't see where they went I assume they just stopped there maybe I'm not 100 sure gonna start by moving up just there because I can back off from here okay why the would she do that did they think they can take this they cannot this Army cannot take that and I can definitely deal with this uh the real problem is though that I have to take this in one turn and also have enough Health to survive a Ryan's attack because he is going to attack nine out of ten and these guys might attack as well but I doubt they're gonna coordinate properly I mean if Orion plus these two armies attacked me at the same time all grouped up I'm oh Grail Guardians okay everything else though is not a problem that is a lot of peasant bowmen and they are very very uh these guys are not gonna do anything against my trolls maybe the speed run will do a bit uh it looks like we might have The High Ground yeah we kind of have to hike around here not a very solid High ground but still charging downward is always good uh pretty open here too I don't like trees for this Army I I don't actually want to fight them here I just want to make them start moving towards me because I don't want to fight them on this terrain there's too many trees here we would be running uphill okay now they're all moving up except for these guys back here who I will keep cycle charging unless those Grill Guardians start coming for me which they may they are in a better position for us to attack now I'll actually yeah I'll start moving up I want to see if I can pincer them a little bit I really want to get at those archers okay we're gonna slow it down temporarily just for a few seconds you guys are gonna go after her and the rest of you are gonna just kind of charge in to those peasant bowmen not gonna go for a wide flank here uh over here though we are going for just a naturally wider flank okay they'll break immediately they'll break immediately but regardless you guys are going to go around back there these guys are weighing back still that's good want to keep casting on that Paladin he's very anti-large but I can burn him down quite quickly there okay looking decent over here a lot of the units that are routing here on our side will come back with regen I will hit the wall now to regen up make sure they come back charging into the sides and backs of spearmint is not too bad with trolls or peasant archers blocked right here will charge Grom right into them and we have some trolls coming over here as well there we go okay these arches are all gone four units archers destroyed in a second there charge that peasant mob and over here we're just grinding down these Grill Guardians they are getting value but they're not getting value much faster than we're regening over here we've completely broken them uh charge there charge there oh that might be the Army losses question mark use that so we'll heal up oh that was the Army losses this was a settlement battle they're wiped out they are white out here two dead trolls around this whole unit of Grail Guardians they just never got a charge off we locked them down in melee I thought we were genuinely gonna lose like at least a quarter of our army oh 10 casualty replenishment rate though I do want to deal with this soon but it's not the main priority survival is the main priority that's a secondary priority I think we have a very good shot of survival oh I can see their whole Army okay um we stopped these guys even harder than we stomped the bretonians and that is for one reason they don't have enough spearmint 2129 melee attacking defense a lot better than peasants but they're still not going to beat trolls and melee and Orion is also very scary but I can just avoid him and kill his entire Army it's not hard okay immediate attack no reinforcement that is the best I could have possibly asked for yeah that's the same map uh we are on the less favorable side of it I would like to be on the side we were last time but yeah we'll make it work we're gonna confuse him a little bit blank them charge them kill them um that's probably the best I can get oh yeah over 500 value okay you guys all charge over here now okay over here not bad what is the balance of power it's mostly Orion it's mostly Orion he is the majority of their balance of power now yeah that's quite bad uh we really just need to get the Army losses on them we can't really kill Orion yeah that's the Army losses okay good we were about to start taking some really serious losses here so uh is Orion unbreakable oh he's unbreakable okay well we'll just spiritually chin then he's already killed 42 trolls he's killed 42 trolls he's shredding through them 3 000 value he's at near full HP what the uh we should throw to Garrison units at him too but they'll take a while to get here yeah if I realized he was unbreakable I would have gone after him way earlier nope that's what we don't want oh that's so much damage in one hit oh my god let's see how much value he's gotten he has gotten almost 4 000 damage dealt his gold value despite being Spirit leeched about eight times yeah that hurt that hurt a lot and it was 98 just a Ryan uh I could use the gold but I kind of need the replenishment because I'm probably gonna get attacked by the remainder of plutonia there oh and he has another Army there not a very good one though yep yep yep please attack me this turn don't besiege me please attack me ah you now don't get replenishment I really hate how there's no counter play there's no option to Sally out immediately when someone decides to besiege you even if they have literally just one unit in their army this is not gonna be easy but it's gonna be doable yeah I don't think for racing is going to save you there that's a lot of trolls oh yeah oh they're zooming now they can't outrun him though poor guys he hit them hard with our big old clubs uh yeah that's pretty much the game plan it went perfectly we lost one not too bad okay lots of replenishment but I think it's more important that we wipe out some of these armies before they get any ideas about healing up or surviving or anything like that could these guys survive her I don't love those odds I do not love those odds at all yeah I'll just shove an orc War Boss there oh lightning strike can't actually Auto resolve that because we will lose a couple units that I don't want to lose especially the stone trolls sorry what why do I have low casualties Auto resolve without lightning strike fighting twice as many units and the this Army is about as strong as this Army my brain hurts my brain hurts when I'm looking at this I don't know what's happening here fine fine I'm gonna Auto resolve this but I shouldn't be able to so I may as well just go for these guys and I probably can't Auto resolve them because it would make sense if I could yeah no that as I said as I said look at that balance of power I I don't think I could lose units here even if I just sent up my worst units and gave them no movement orders other than stand to get shot oh they are gonna go for that I don't think I should win that in Auto resolve that well but fine that's not a very perfect Victor at all that's that's a really that's a really good victory to be honest we have enough gold now that I might actually consider it yeah you could get him up to 12 units and then he's a really strong Army we would be hemorrhaging gold building up there and we will stack this then occupy it most likely are you going to declare war on me why would you do that ah I did not think I thought he was more likely to be friends with me than go to war with me that could be a problem this should be relatively doable toss that right in there oh that's a nice one that should route them permanently so they only have one unit of archers left and most of their spearmen are on the left side almost all of them were baiting them to stay over here by leaving these trolls there okay we'll go for that right now uh increase that healing so we don't take any serious damage and we should break them with that charge we should break them with that rear charge oh they're all Breaking they're all Breaking they're taking damage so quick but we're just gonna keep stomping them here we don't want to let them out we want to physically surround them just bully them come on there we go all right didn't lose Grom nearly did though one loss only one troll most the grom's HP but he will regen in the next fight we don't have any trade Partners or anything so I think I'll sack that and come back and occupy it although I don't know if I have enough movement range oh I do I do I'll probably get rid of these three I don't need them I don't need them immediately and I I do kind of want that gold that's almost 1500 each oh I didn't do this I didn't do any of this all but two of them are gone already I mean I knew they usually get wiped out on their own but that quickly this is turn 16. uh yeah I don't think they take this this is a good Garrison man our income's relatively okay well no our outcome is relatively okay uh minus 413 while he's writing but that's you know 9700 while he's not oh yeah that Garrison's doo-doo we can probably Auto resolve that I mean there's bad up there but nothing super dangerous start to see if I can raid my way up here I can go for that 4.7 oh seven for that as well okay almost 1400 gold yeah I would love an ally or at least someone I'm not at war with losing out on like a thousand gold there plus just the settlement which I don't need as much all right that's so that's okay that's okay we really don't want to resolve that man it's literally identical settlement three times now I think I'll Loot and occupied this one I want it to be hype here if possible oh only right two regardless I should have just uh looted it then occupied it okay they are completely destroyed then all right I'm gonna pull off a heist here I'm gonna do one last thing this episode I'm gonna pull off the heist of King's Glade almost 10 000 gold it'll probably be more than ten thousand by the time we get there if I Scout with the hero I might even be able to send this Army over there but I would have to be very careful okay these guys are friendly with me still they might actually be incredibly helpful there oh I could get there in one turn okay almost 3 000 gold so what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna sack it and that'll bring me back by more her I could Auto resolve that I do want to play it safer though ideally and they're done they're done yeah that was not very heavy losses at all uh I'll just take that gold I can keep rating I can heal up and I can be reinforced by more curve if these guys attack me oh he's going into attack all right yeah I mean that's fine I did not want that settlement 1200 gold there sorry 12 000 gold such a big number that my brain could not process it could go for the control points but I just don't need to I just I just literally don't need to man I can just charge him not bad at all and 12 000 gold there for the sack so it's fine and we can start moving over there next turn we can deal with that Clan scrier is definitely a good friend to have they have three armies there mostly skaven's lives but still are you stuck oh you're stuck in the range of this well fine I can just um how to resolve that not the best auto resolve ever but fine and raise it we have almost 500 scrap but we don't have any scrap upgrades yet and we won't for like eight more turns so don't really know what to do with that yet oh that's bad if they declare war on me I think it's possible I'll try the more difficult one first yeah they're joined by their allies oh I can't move to them I'm stuck in these guys like a circle of influence okay well I'll just do that then yeah I can deal with most of them quite easily we are quite high level here we have a lot of leadership bonuses above 70 leadership on all of these trolls I think we fight this carefully we can have enough Health left to win that next one this is such a dangerous situation but I'm gonna try it don't love this map but I think I can make it work potentially and now they're going to be charging us which I think is going to be helpful I want them to be making dumb decisions not good ones and charging us is not a good one these guys are hurting though they might route they might route that's okay if they do it's not the end of the world it's your chance it's your chance you gotta move you gotta move right now you gotta move right now they've left a hole in their lines you guys come back in hold them back there we go we're faster than their uh melee units so we got to use that to our advantage getting that debuff on them hopefully gonna break them over here might get another wall their Lord's still holding strong I probably should have sniped them earlier oh my God I don't know if we can do that second fight I don't think we can like we won that we did win that but we needed to win that well and I don't think we won that as well as we needed to four percent healing we do need that but it's still only four percent I was hoping for a lot more than that we can get out of their range there yeah we we can just dip out there we didn't lose any units uh we can get the swamp things now I will actually do that in grom's Army now just because I want to be safe and also that'll allow me to cook something up here monster oh imbuement burnt -8 leadership because with all of their attacks on top of their fear holy we are leadership monsters now plus 12 bonus versus large and eight leadership on our side and immune to psychology as long as our hit points are above 50 okay so now we've gotten seriously strong we're in a good spot we're in a really good spot here overall we have 12 settlements that we've dealt with already it's turn 22 not as fast as the previous campaigns but I think that's mostly because we only have two armies and one of them is half full 12 000 there 11 000 there another 12 000 there so I might actually end up sending both of my armies up here to just wipe out all of these and get all of that gold gonna be quite fun this campaign it's kind of the opposite of what I've done in the previous ones where I'm having very expensive armies and that's the main difficulty rather than having very cheap shitty armies I think it's equally difficult though so far a lot of these battles have been incredibly close and I'm not expanding nearly as fast as I was so thanks for watching peace out
