the world god has made a home in the heavens for the sun it bursts forth like a radiant bridegroom after his wedding it rejoices like a great athlete eager to run the race the sun rises at one end of the heavens and follows its force to the other end nothing can hide from his feet the instructions of the lord are perfect reviving the soul the decrees of the lord are trustworthy making the why making wise the simple the commandments of the lord are right bringing joy to the heart the commands of the lord are clear giving insight for living reverence for the lord is pure lasting forever the we're also praying for oscar thomas for healing at memphis central we're continuing to pray for your brother cj and his recovery and praying for sister stephanie peeples there in nashville of just total healing uh for sandra williams he's having back surgery uh we're praying even this morning uh for sandra for two-year-old caleb who is battling cancer right now we are praying for him and we're through the giving of our tithes and our offerings unto him it is more blessed to give them them to receive and i need you to know something brown that your faithfulness your stewardship your generosity has enabled brown to continue to do ministry at the same level even before the pandemic and i just want to just say thank you so very much for standing with us during these times we we've been doing a uh extra oh my goodness a high number of funerals around here and every funeral that we do i don't know if y'all realize him but it literally costs us 12 to 1500 just to do a funeral here at brown we never charge a family fee even those from outside that need to use this facility because we believe that this is a great opportunity for us to minister to people when they are hurting it can only happen because of your faithfulness and because of your generosity this upcoming week one of our members lisa ivan has a great program that that she works with where she actually go in and rehab houses and put families literally back into sometimes a brand new house by time they get finished with him i was viewing one of the projects just the other week and this family uh was needing a full house of furniture brown i want you to know because of your faithfulness because of your generosity when they go back in they're going to have a full household of beds furniture appliances and that can only happen because of your continued faithfulness and those that are online as well and so the book of exodus reminds us that we're never to appear before god empty-handed but everyone every worship ought to give something unto the lord and here at brown uh there are many ways that you can do that you can download our app and give right through our app matter of fact it's safe it's secure you can use your smart device you can text your gift you can also uh use the envelopes amen i see some folks in here with black and red i know they still write checks amen so y'all can still you can bible says the first duty of love is to listen let's get started with the silence generation better known as the traditionalist it represents everyone born before 1945. i wonder who that is huh the silent generation was known for saying things like the bee's knees keeping up with the joneses they would they probably would have been roller skating and listening to music although it was a crystal palace around there listening on record players this generation is here today and they're wearing black come on let's give it up for the silence generation come on stand up if you would rest on your feet let me see you dressed in black come on look at them all around the sanctuary [Music] and pastor or they are obedient they are obedient next up the baby boomers come on baby boomers let me let me hold up y'all excited already let me tell you a little backdrop over here you can stand what i tell them all about you the baby boomers represent everyone from between 1946 i said 1946 all the way up to 1964. so i mean my lovely wife carly you can stand up come on this generation was known for saying things like hipster groovy and they would have been throwing frisbees they would have been throwing frisbees and listening to music on eight-track tape i said eight-track eight-track state tape so this generation is here this morning in the sanctuary they are wearing red come on red give it and what a joy it is as we have gathered this day and just to worship together across generational lines thank you for these colors amen yeah our god is such an awesome god and one of the things that i love here at brown is the fact that brown is not an old church brown is not a young church brown but brown is a church for all generations and it's good to see all generations yet worshiping together in the name of the lord well um this month and and we're reading through the book of second kings we started something and i guess it was last year that we started this and i i've appreciated it i hope you've appreciated it as well and that is what we read through we do a devotion on it day by day so you're able to blog through it as well we study through it and then we come right back and preach on that same topic and so hopefully by now what i'm getting ready to preach you have been reading all week long if you're not already subscribed to our devotionals if you were to text times what is the word to the nations what is the word even to us that god has for us i want to call you attention second kings chapter 5 verse 10 then we'll jump down to verse 20 through 27. you can come on stand with us for the reading of the word of god second kings chapter five beginning verse 10 these words are recorded therein but elijah sent a messenger out to him with this message go and wash yourself seven times in the river jordan then your skin will be restored and you will be healed of your leprosy skip down to verse 20. but gaheza i'm the servant of elisha the man of god said to himself my master should not have let this air men get away without accepting any of his gifts as surely as the lord lives i will chase after him and get something from him so the hazel said out uh set off after naaman when naaman sangha hayes are running after him he climbed down from his chariot and went to meet him is everything all right name and ask yes geez i said but my master has sent me to tell you that two young prophets from the hill country of ephraim have just arrived he would like 75 pounds of silver and two sets of clothing to give to them by all means take twice as much silver name and sister he gave him two sets of clothing tied up the money in two bags and sent two of his servants to carry the gifts for geheza but when they arrived at the citadel gahesan took the gifts from the servant and sent the man back then he went and hid the gifts inside the house when he went into his master elisha asked him where have you been but i haven't been anywhere he replied but elijah asked him don't you realize that i was there in spirit when naaman stepped down from his chariot to meet you is this the time to receive money and clothing olive groves and vineyards sheep and cattle and male and female servants because you have done this you and your descendants will suffer from naaman's leprosy forever when gaza left the room he was covered with leprosy his skin was white as snow go and wash yourself seven times in the river jordan i want to preach about um this morning called to wash called to wash what a command brothers and sisters what a command go and wash yourself seven times in the river jordan it was a simple commandment a very straightforward command but an unusual command to go wash seven times in jordan river what a cure brothers and sister hesitant at first but after obeying it the bible is going to say ii king chapter 5 verse 14 so naaman went down to the river jordan dipped himself seven times as the man of god had instructed him and his skin became as healthy as the skin of a young child and he was healed isn't that something name it the general of the syrian army naaman and heathen a foreigner and yet he was cured of his leprosy when he obeyed the man of god i need to put a plug in brown because i still believe that in the midst of this pandemic that we find ourselves in that god is still able to heal and to curb diseases even today somebody ought to be a witness and my god is still jehovah rougher he is still the great physician for when others counted you out when others said there was nothing that they could do it was god who stepped in and healed and so whether it's cancer or covet brothers and sister god is able to cure what a cure brothers and sisters what what a command but then what a contrast what a contrast y'all because i believe that name man wasn't the only one who needed to wash in second kings chapter five if you look real closely brothers and sisters i believe that gaha needed to do some washing why do i say that because naaman's leprosy was outward but gehazar's greed was inward it was name and skim disease that was physical but gehazar's sin dilemma was spiritual and brothers and sisters i believe that that is a reminder to each one of us today because sometimes we have some stuff that is lingering in on the inside that we need to be dealt with that's why i like what they read for devotion and they read psalms 19 they didn't read that whole psalm but i want to pick up in verse 11 of psalm 19 look what it says they are warning to your servant a great reward for those who obey them talking about the word of god how can i know all the sins lurking in my heart cleanse me from these hidden faults keep your servant from deliberate sin don't let them control man then i will be free of guilt and innocent of great sin verse 14 psalms 19 we used to say this all the time me the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable be pleasing in your sight to you o lord my rock and my redeemer although naming stuff was all out in the open gahey's i had some stuff on the inside i believe that's a cautious reminder for each one of us brothers and sisters because so often time in the church and if by chance we don't know this for sure but second kings chapter 5 verse 10 uh elisha sent a messenger out to naming could it be that gahesah was the messenger that went out to name it in order to tell him go and wash if that was the case then isn't it said that he was a messenger of the miracle when he needed to be the recipient of a miracle of his own you see i believe that's what happened to oftentimes brothers and sisters is that two men and folks are just messengers of the miracle we are messengers with the good news but we don't take the good news in it for ourselves that's why some folks preach it but they don't practice it they sing it but they don't live that they tell the other but they don't walk in it themselves and i believe that so often times we find some gahey's eyes in the church even today matter of fact matter of fact can i get in your business for a little while are you a hazel are you a gegaza i mean here it is he's the servant of the man of god he's hanging a rare and anointed individual where miracles are taken place are you hanging around when you need to be changing things around are you a hazel are you so close to the action you can see the miracle you see the hand of god you're close to the action but you haven't been converted by the action are you a gehase our brothers and sisters that are a sidekick to the holy individual but you have never kicked any habits of your own that's in your own life too many individuals y'all are relying on what i call proximity profession to make it to heaven proximity profession proximity profession too many folks want to tell the lord well well lord i got to make an end because i at least hung around the right crowd i i came to church even in the myth of the pandemic i streamed online i even came through a few drive through god surely you ought to let me into heaven because i've been around the right folks and yet isn't that what jesus was saying in matthew chapter seven he said many will say to me in that day lord did we not preach in your name did we not cast me work miracles in your name did we not even cast out demons in your name and yet jesus is going to say depart from me you workers of iniquity i never knew you oh brothers and sisters gaheza it all the indication is he wasn't real on the inside and that's what i want to share with you this morning that since god has called us to be real wash yourself since god has called us to be real at the end of the day brothers and sisters we got too many spiritual masqueraders going around in the church we we got too many religious hypocrites that that come in and we know how to go through the motion we're wearing the right color we know how to do oh thank you jesus hallelujah and we are shout on sunday and cut folks out on monday too many of us are just going through the motions of worship but there's never been a change on the inside and god is saying i'm looking for somebody that would be real and if we're going to be real today brothers and sisters we simply need to wash we need to watch we need to watch what what happened to hazel how in the world can you be this close to elisha and miss it now think about it think about it gahesah is in the same position that elisha was in i don't know if you if you notice this elisha was the servant to elijah when elijah left elisha got a double portion so you're not just uh serving anybody you're not just hanging around anybody you're hanging around somebody with a double anointing a double portion now it would seem like to me if i'm now the servant of the man who asked god for double and god gave him double i need to be asking god for quadruple i need to be asking god double what you did for my double master and yet gaheza is going to miss it um i want you to see the mistakes he made brothers and sisters this is one of these uh self-inspection sermons uh listen and just look at yourself don't don't don't think about other folks on this sermon don't don't think about who you left at home don't think about who may be streaming look look let's start with ourselves i want you to see several things about hazel first of all who was he listening to who was he listening to i call this tainted inspiration tainted inspiration who was he listening to second corinthians second kings rather chapter five verse twenty but hazel the servant of elijah the man of god said to himself my master should not have let this air man get away without accepting any of his gift as surely as the lord lives i will chase after him and get something from him have you ever had a conversation with yourself have you ever talked to yourself have you ever found it easy to justify what you're thinking see some of us we get something formed in our mind and then we talk ourselves into doing what we already want to do and and for the hazel that's what happened with him in his mind the facts were clear a miracle had taken place the facts were clear a man actually got healed when he went down he was healed of leprosy the facts were clear of this man even offered my master money my master didn't have to try to take it from him he wasn't trying to rob it but this man so gratified so full of thanksgiving he wanted to do something to my master and yet my master missed an opportunity anytime somebody do something nice for you and they want to give you something ain't nothing wrong with taking a little something accepting it if they are offering it to you and so he said as sure as the lord lives i'm going to go down and get something from him geza didn't get a second opinion he didn't bounce the idea off of anybody else no he talked himself into it and guess what he set off after naming matter of fact he set off the bible says running after him i believe god is saying to many of us even today take a listen we're going to haze stop talking yourself into trouble stop talking yourself in to trouble look brothers and sisters self is a tainted inspiration if you want to get some inspiration you can't get it from self the bible talks to us and tells us that who even knows our very own heart the heart is deceitful and above wickedness uh look brothers and sisters that's why jesus said when he was getting ready to leave here i'm getting ready to go back to my father but i'm not going to leave you comfortable but i'm going to send you somebody another comforter of the of the same kind that i am i'm going to pray to the father that he will send you the holy spirit and when the holy spirit come he will lead and guide you into all truth matter of fact he ain't even going to come up with anything new on his own but he is going to reveal it back to you everything that i've already told unto you we need a trusted inspiration of the holy spirit and not a tainted inspiration of self because let me tell you something self is short sighted if you're talking about self self only thinks about the here and the now self is not looking down the road it ain't looking at the future it's not thinking about what might happen what could happen no it won't feel good and it want to feel good right now self is selfish it's only thinking about itself it's only thinking about how can i make myself better right now i listen to self this week i listened to self this week i listened to self this week uh listen to self self said you off you need some comfort food i went to plant based plant based heat r.j groove got corndog vegan corn dog they had some chocolate cake down vegan chocolate cake i ate that chocolate cake boy that wasn't good chocolate cake you know what self told me self told me like the next day seth said you need to go back he had auto cake piled up there it's your all you can always start next week and guess what i did i listened to self i made the mistake with chocolate cake some of y'all are making a mistake with some chocolate legs because self is telling you to go after him and you know him married self is telling you to go after her and you know you married and yet brothers and sisters we listen to self and we get ourselves into trouble well one email ain't gonna hurt one text message ain't gonna hurt one little flirt ain't gonna help well one little sniff ain't gonna hurt look stop talking yourself in to trouble who was he listening to who was he listening to but not only who was he listening to stop talking yourself into trouble what was he lying for what was he lying for i called this temporary gratification temporary gratification because when you look at gaja this brother lie now this is why i think gaha had a little baptism in him because he made lion look so easy have y'all ever run across some lion baptist folks but they can lie with a straight face they'll make you believe the lie that they are saying that's what happened to him it was a premeditated lie brothers and sisters he had time to think about it because as he was running down there to catch up with naaman he already had it former lady he mixed just a little bit of truth in that fang in order to make it believable and he said what uh what what's going on everything all right well yeah i'm glad i caught you everything is all right but let me tell you what happened well i'm glad i talked some preachers just came into town you know my my past my my my master he's got a school a preacher some preachers just came into town and he need from you two sets of clothes and a talent oh civil made it a precise lie he lied y'all lied to himself now he's lying to naaman he is lying on elisha but how many know lies are like lays patel potato chip you just can't tell one life keeps on going to another lie matter of fact y'all to show you how deceitful the fella was he got so much stuff until naaman had to send some service back with him to help him carry on the stuff back but when he got to the city he said that's good enough y'all going by your way he takes it into his house hides it in his house and elijah said have you been anywhere oh no sir i ain't been nowhere lying with a straight face and yet he was lying for simple cash and clothes cash and clothes cash and clothes all of this lying for some cash and clothes and this is what makes the makes it so bad he gets the stuff and guess where he takes the stuff in his house and hides it in his house now if that ain't the stupidest thing here it is you've been going through all of this trouble to lie to get some money you can't even spend to get some clothes you can't even wear and right now the only thing you are can do is just hide it in your house here's what god is saying to us and here's what god is saying to us not only stop talking yourself into trouble but stop settling for temporary gratification stop settling for temporary gratification in other words what are you lying for this morning the lie you told this week the lie you told this morning what are you lying for are you lying for a one-night stand are you lying for a one-night stand you just want to hook up so you're willing to say anything and everything are you lying for a position are you lying for a promotion are you trying to get to the top and so you're going to use a deception you're going to use every trick up the trade in order to get to the top are you lying to close a deal you know good and well that what you are talking about ain't the facts and yet you are lying just to close a deal oh are you lying just so that your post can go viral you know good and will it ain't like what you're saying but you add an even more to it because you want more follower you want to be so popular what are you lying for he was just lying for cash and for clothes i need to point this out i need to point this out because elisha is going to tell him uh there in verse 26 is this the time to receive money and clothing olive groves and vineyards sheep and cattle male and female servants he asked a question and i believe it was really a rhetorical question i i believe what he was trying to let him know look man you need to understand something that with god timing is everything and if you're ever just a little patient and just wait on god god knows how to bless your end time but you got ahead because you thought that you needed to trick your way into getting some money and some clothing here's what makes us so interesting y'all he talks about some preachers showing up in the next verse chapter six verse one god is going to enlarge and send so many preachers to elijah until they're gonna have to build even a new facility in order to house the school of the preacher how many know that if you only have patience to just wait on god's time man he knows the things that you have need of he knows even the very desires of your heart but if you wait on god's time and i need somebody to know wait on the lord and be of good courage because if you wait you'll mount up on wings like an eagle you'll randomly not get weary walk them not faint if you wait and just wait on the lord and seek first the kingdom of god and his righteousness all of these things will be added unto you because man god said trust him the lord and do good delight yourself in heaven and he will give you the desires of your heart timing is everything sometimes we look at other folks and we look what they are driving we look what they are wearing we look where they are living and we want them so bad until we lie in order to get it right today we just don't understand it has taken them a lifetime to get to where they are right now to have what they have oh brothers and sisters what are you lying for stop settling for temporary gratification let me give you the last one i'll let you go what did he have to live with that's the last question what did he have to live without i called this total devastation what did he have to live what did he have to live with a lot of times folks sin and we feel as if i can handle the consequences of my sin we we we know we're getting ready to do wrong and and and and we don't already see that i can handle whatever is going to come out of this and it's something that he said to himself and and y'all he even put he even uh uh uh disrespected the name of the lord as surely as the lord lives i'm gonna chase after him and i'm going to get something from him yeah he got some all right he got something but he got more than what he was expecting he got something brothers and sisters because here's what elisha is going to tell him elisha said man don't you know i was there in spirit when naaman stepped down from the chariot now you should have already known because you've been with me you know god have already been giving me insight even into the king's bedroom to see what he's doing what he is talking about and and and now don't you know i was there and here's what god is going to do um the leprosy that was on naaman is going to now be on you because you have done this you and your descendants will suffer from naaman's leprosy forever and when he left the room brothers and sisters he was covered with leprosy his skin was white as snow when you compromise let me tell you something brown there are always consequences to sin there are always consequences to sin when you compromise when you when you compromise your integrity when you compromise your character hear me young folks and old folks there are consequences to sin and i know this ain't one of these uh popsicle sermons that that sound good but i need you to know there are some personal consequences uh you you're gonna have to pay for whatever you have done because numbers said you can be sure that you're seen we'll find you out there are personal consequences he left there as a leopard he left that with his skin white as snow some folks one nightstand has been with you your whole life because consequences can be personal but not only will consequences be personal but you can even have some permanent consequences you can have some permanent consequences there there's some stuff that won't leave even when god forgive you even when god says i'm going to give you another chance what the preacher told him is this leprosy is going to be on your generation forever meaning that somebody in every generation was going to be at least one person was going to be born a leopard or have leprosy on them because this was a permanent consequence i need to tell somebody you you look brothers and sisters it is so true that sin will take you farther than you want to go it will keep you longer than you want to stay it will cost you more than you're willing to pay there are some permanent consequences some personal consequences but then there are some public consequences you see what we do in the dark i need you to know sooner or later it's coming to the light of what we do behind closed doors what we do and we think that we are getting away with it yet god sees everything and sooner or later we will have to pay because the wages of sin is death but the gift of god is eternal life that's why i about to tell you not only must we stop settling for temporary gratification and stop talking yourself into trouble but you need to stop costing your family future issues and drama stop costing your family future issues and drama oh oh many of us thinking well what i'm doing now is just about me and ain't gonna affect anything here don't you know what you post is out there somebody that i'm taking a screenshot somebody them save that it can come up again 2015 30 years from now stop costing your family future issues and drama it's not just affecting you but it's going to affect those even around you and you ought to wise up because some stuff will have to live with it so i stopped by to ask you which one are you which one are you uh uh which one of these characters in chapter 5 represent your life are you like naaman are you like name and i i called name a man of inconsistency a man of inconsistency because yes name and a heathen name and was a foreigner general of the syrian army he had leprosy but when he obeyed the man of god found out that there was a true prophet in israel dipped seven times in the jordan river he came up here but here is what naaman said after he went back to elisha tried to get him to take the gift and elijah wouldn't take the gift elijah said all right verse 17 but please allow me to load two mules of with earth from this place and i'm going to take it back home because from now on i will never again offer burnt or friends or sacrifices to any of the god except the lord it would have been great if he had to stop right there but naaman had some baptists in him and look what he says in verse 18 however may the lord pardon me in this one thing when my master the king goes into the temple of the god remnant to worship there and leans on my arm may the lord pardon me when i bow to man of inconsistency man of inconsistency naaman had gotten right with god naaman realized that there is only one true god god almighty naaman says i only want to worship him matter of fact i want to bring some dirt back in order to build an altar there when i get back to syria because i only want to worship the true god but yet he says i got one issue that i need you to overlook for me i need you to overlook because when i go back to the king and the king want to go into his god and the king is there leaning on me i want to be able to blend in and not to stand down paul would call this kind of person in the book of corinthians paul called this kind of person a carnal christian christ is in their life but he's not in control of their life and so they're still giving them to the flesh they're still giving in to the things of the world you know this is the kind of person that come to church on a sunday watch stream on a weekend boy they love the lord they serve the lord and then when they're leaving out they said but preacher i got a company party this week so when i go to the company party and i drink a little something when i go to the company party and i smoke a little something i i lord please forgive me because i you you know i got to keep my job i got to blend in with everybody else oh if you're naming them the house today can i tell you something god is saying to you uh look i want you to be sold out so so totally to me i don't want you to be a man of inconsistency i don't want you to be a woman that is changing your spots and your colors depending upon what crowd you are in but i want you to be like romans chapter 12 when paul said i beseech you therefore brethren by the mercies of god that ye present your bodies as a living sacrifice holy and acceptable unto god which is your reasonable service and be not uh conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind i need you to know something young folk whether you're in the classroom or in the church house god is team god jesus esteem jesus and there is none but him and he alone deserves to be worshipped we need to become so consistent until we are letting our light so shine no matter who we are in front of a man of inconsistency but then are you are you a hazel or you're a hazel i call them this a man of insanity man of insanity because the haze i felt like that my sins will never catch up with me that my sins will never cost me anything that my sins will never consume me but i need you to know something brothers and sisters that the bible is right whatsoever a man so that shall he also reap look brothers and sisters you can sow to the wind if you want to but you're going to reap the world when because when we sin when we sow and do wrong we're gonna always reap great uh we're gonna always reap later we're gonna always reap up the same kind and i need you to know that it will catch up with you you can flip and slide if you want to you can duck and dive here and there if you want to you can smile in folks faces while you're stabbing them in the back if you want to but sooner or later your sin will catch up with you if you're the hazel this morning i need you to know that you need christ in your life you need a born-again experience you need salvation you need to make some changes because how many know that if any man be in christ jesus he is a new creature all things have passed away and behold all things have become brand new well who do you want to be like preacher well i want to be like elisha i want to be like elijah i call him a man of integrity because in verse 16 he said as surely as the lord lived whom i serve i will not accept any gift and don't name and urge him to take the gift elijah refuse i i want to be like elisha i want to be a man of integrity that understand and recognize i'm sold out to god and because i'm sold out to god i don't have to sell my soul to the highest bidder i don't have to sell out to the temporary things of this world but i'm yours lord i'm yours lord everything that i am everything that i have be a man of integrity be a woman of integrity be a young person that is truly sold out to jesus christ well how do i get to that point how in the world can i live my life like that well i tell you you got to be washed you got to be washed we got to be clean because we were born in sin shaped in iniquity in sin that our mother conceive us and god is saying i'm calling you to watch first of all we gotta wash away our sins wash away our sin what can wash away my sins nothing but the blood of jesus what can make me whole again nothing but the blood of jesus every last one of us we were born in sin every last one of us we were on our way to a burning hell but praise be to god one friday morning god so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life god commended his love toward us that while we were yet sinners christ died on the cross because without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin aren't you glad he died he shedded his blood he went down in the grave but early sunday morning he got up with all power in his hands and i need a few witnesses in the house have you said have you been saved are you do you know that you're safe do you know you've been washed in the blood of the lamb is your name written on high if you know that you've been washed in the blood of the lamb the old folks said i got a song that the angels can't even sing i've been redeemed i've been redeemed i've been washed by the blood of the lamb he is saying wash away your sins make sure that you are protected wash away your sin we know not the day not be how well the death is going to come to each one of us but if you know that you're saved you're in a win-win situation but to be absent from the body is to be present with the lord wash away your sins but not only wash away your sins here's what god is also saying to us when mama had spread the table when mama had fixed a good meal mama would always holler out and tell us wash up dinner is ready wash up dinner is ready don't you know brothers and sisters god is sin right now i know you're saved but i want to take your high yeah so i've spread the table the banquet buffet is spread out before you but you need to wash up you need to wash up you need to prepare yourself because where i'm taking you what i have for you you got to have a change of mindset you got to have a change of habits and discipline so god is saying wash up wash up no wonder the old folks said search me lord search me lord if you find anything that should not be take it out and strengthen me i want to wash up i want to wash up i want to go higher i want to wash up i want to go deeper in his word i want to wash up so that i can be used by the lord i want to wash up wash up wash away your sins one last washing some of us need to wash our hands of some individuals you need to wash your hands of some individuals they're taking you down a bad pathway and you need to wash your hands you need to change your company change your running will change who you're dealing with he is saying wash your hands up those zeros and get yourself included with the lord that's all i still gotta tell ya this day search me lord watch me lord and here is the good news first john 1 9 if we confess our sins he is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins and to cleanse us of all unrighteousness thank you lord thank you lord won't he clean you won't he forgive you won't he give you another chance thank you lord can't he use you even when you're messed up even when you've gone astray thank you yes [Music] oh brothers and sisters today we've been called to wash what kind of washing do you need to do every head bowel if you're watching online this is a time for us to look at ourselves not not not your neighbor not your other family members but where do you need to be cleansed what do you need to be made whole what's your secret sins what's your hidden faults what are those areas those dark corners and places in your life that you felt as if nobody ever sees you and yet god says i saw you i heard you oh today if that's you psalms 139 verse 23 and 24 says search me o god and know my heart test me and know my anxious thoughts point out anything in me that offends you and lead me in the path of everlasting life father god as we come before you today [Music] it's it's me standing in the need of prayer not my mother not my brother not my sister but it's me oh lord search us god cleanse us god watch us from god help us not to be gahay's eyes who hangs around goes through the motions only to end up with the leprosy but help us to be real help us to be true help us to be genuine god we we need a miracle just fit for us we need a deliverance this pandemic has revealed some ugliness in our lives and right now god i pray that we will break every habit that's not like you from a lion tongue cussing tongue twisted minds lusting hating hearts god search us right now cleanse us watch us in jesus name we pray amen well today today we want to give you that opportunity if that's you if that's you online the where you need christ in your life and he's saying that this is the place for you if that's you if that's you if you're in the balcony if you're in the risers if you're on the floor wherever you are wherever you are you can get up you can come you can come you can [Music] tomorrow is not promised to any of us but the door the day that you hear his voice he says heart not your heart he can work a miracle [Music] to fit your knees and he can do it even today you don't have to leave here like your cane if you trust him if you trust him [Music] oh is another one there's another one pre-church pre-church [Music] he can [Applause] [Music] [Music] i know our time i know our time has gone but somebody is listening to self right now when you need to listen to the spirit and self is saying sit there self is saying it's all right you got another week you can come next week they're going to be outdoors you can wait till next month don't you get up on a sermon like today because somebody's going to think you got some skeletons in your closet somebody is going to think you're caught up in something right now that self-talking and self is trying to get you to miss out on what god has for you but the holy spirit right now is knocking at your door the holy spirit is tugging you the holy spirit is saying that i i've kept you coming and this is your second this is your third time in a row you need to make the decision today you need to make it public today you need to get it right today and if that's you if you need to listen to the holy spirit they're going to sing one more time oh but don't miss the opportunity don't miss the opportunity say yes to jesus say yes to him say yes say yes yes [Music] the spirit is speaking the spirit is speaking come on come on come on come on come movie uh fellowship amen and we'll be doing our best to amen to do it in a safe environment but we're grateful for next weekend friday night then saturday uh evening service six o'clock outdoors up there you can wear your favorite bmbc t-shirt and put on one like i got on this morning or one of the other ones in fact on sunday uh we'll actually be baptizing in the pond that's right we'll be celebrating 23 years of marriage um this weekend as well congratulations to them as well the music ministry will be accompanying me this week amen in revival over in walls mississippi antioch uh tuesday and wednesday and uh with pastor dr javon marshall our son in the ministry so uh you can come out you can tune in we would love for you to take part of that this coming tuesday and wednesday the acts career center also is uh actively recruiting individuals after every service and so please stop by get the information if not for yourself but for someone else also this weekend tj terence green jr he's got his new book out there i want us to support him y'all stop by this young man doing some great things and and uh we want to support him so get a book uh and let them sign and they even you never know the worth of it how it will bless your your life and then also this coming thursday omega job fair with omega scifi and the axe career center is happening up at our main campus uh it starts at nine o'clock so people will be hiring on the spot y'all we would love to fill up that place with job seekers can you all please let this message go viral so people need an employment and
