California's GENDER NEUTRAL City...

greetings boys girls and other to a brand new video now I'm not sure if you guys remember this or not but a few years ago I did a video on California being a liberal hellhole and in this video I talked about how California was lowering the penalty for knowingly spreading aids it's now just a few years later and apparently aides have been spreading like wildfire California is definitely ahead of all the other 49 states in retardation of course every time I think that California has reached its maximum capacity for stupidity they do something to outdo the last stupid thing they did it's kind of a miracle so much so I'm starting to believe in God or completely doubt the existence of God not really sure but it's true California is known for its over-the-top push for all things progressive even if it's to the point that it really no longer makes logical or reasonable sense let's just say if this was a competition California would have won a gold medal in the Special Olympics I'm about to read you this article and I want you to tell me has California finally gone too far California City will remove gender terms including manhole and man-made from municipal code well this is just great if it's no longer going to be called a manhole then where am I supposed to find a place to jump when I'm ready to kiss this god-awful world goodbye this is a pretty progressive move I mean how many times have you been walking down the street with your gender non-binary friend and then suddenly they see man whole ahead and they get real triggered gender inclusive restrooms have become more and more common across the country now the City of Berkeley is taking it a step further yeah leave it towards the City of Berkeley to take yet another stride towards ultimate stupidity the city is removing gender specific words in its municipal code that will cost the city about six hundred dollars to make the changes now I know what you're thinking six hundred dollars it's not really that much money and you're right it's really not that much money but I don't care if it costs a hundred dollars six thousand dollars or sixty thousand dollars it's the concept behind this change that's completely illogical and they try to claim that it's to help transgender people but it doesn't even do that so let's continue looking through the article I have not contracted AIDS yet so let's continue the Berkeley City Council unanimously passed the measure to replace more than two dozen commonly used terms on Tuesday it will switch words like he and she today and then in the city code manholes will be changed to maintenance holes and references to manmade will be changed to artificial let me just stop it right here you guys realize that man-made isn't actually a gender specific word right you realize that man-made historically just means human-made or are you guys so stupid you literally just see the word man and you think it must be changed I mean it says that the city is removing gender specific words in its municipal code but man-made manhole these are not gender specific terms I need to know right now who is running this place anyone is it like Justin Trudeau seriously guys you know that if a word just happens to have man in it it doesn't mean that it's gender specific I highly doubt that any non-binary or gender neutral person would get offended by the term man hole or man-made because the man in each word is not referring to man in a gendered context gender specific references to job titles like policemen and craftsman will also be changed in the code to police officer and craftspeople see you say you're gonna change it to craftspeople but what if someone's other can what if they don't identify as a person it's a little discriminatory don't you think California terms like fraternity or sorority will be changed to collegiate Greek system residents so is anyone here part of a sorority or a fraternity or anything excuse me bigoted I think what you mean is any one part of a collegiate Greek system residents the previous terms like sorority and fraternity are just bit too problematic you're not woke you're just stupid other terms that we changed include pregnant women or women it will be switched to pregnant employees brothers and sisters will be switched to sibling this is just so over the top it doesn't really help genuine gender-neutral people who use gender non-conforming language and lastly it's just a waste of time and money especially considering the fact that California has a skyrocketing crime and homelessness problem but instead of focusing their efforts on these actual jarring issues they're actually wasting time trying to change the city code to not have gender specific language it just seems ridiculous and it also seems like you should get your priorities straight councilman regal Robinson a 23 year old recent graduate of the University of California at Berkeley sponsored the ordinance he tweeted in part there is power in language it's a small move but it matters this kind of annoys me because I don't like the fact that he's using a truth to sort of justify the idiocy behind the decision for this measure first of all he's right there is power in language words hold power words hold meaning that all makes sense to me but there is not power in language like manhole or man-made when in reality it simply means human-made you're just viewing man as an extremely gender specific term so that you can change it and then look woke you're viewing this entire issue in such a 2-dimensional shallow viewpoint it's like you just see the word man and it just lights up red and you're like it's gender specific we need to get rid of it kind of takes me off that he's using a truth that there's power in language because he's right in that aspect but the context in which he's using this truth is completely false in recent years broadening societal awareness of transgender and gender non-conforming identities has brought light to the importance of non-binary gender inclusivity one small step for z one giant leap for all of people kind this right here really jingles my jollies I don't like the fact that this city council has decided to make a completely stupid decision but then they're justifying it by bringing in transgender people it essentially seems like they're trying to earn some woke brownie points but they're using transgender people as political pawns as far as my understanding goes there are no transgender people or gender non-conforming people who even played a part in making this decision it was just a bunch of sis people who decided they wanted to look woke and they're like but look we're helping transgender people first of all this doesn't help transgender people it's like doing the bare minimum and then just patting yourself on the back because you're oh so whoa transgender people they're discriminated against every day they're made fun of by their families and friends insults or hurled at them they have a higher likelihood of being victims of violent crime they have this awful awful mental illness like gender dysphoria they can't afford the surgery to try and get better but oh at least it's no longer called a manhole and now it's called a maintenance hole I hate that this California city is rapping this stupidity up in a nice little package a nice little present stamped we care about trans people this seriously does nothing to help trans people and you say it's supposed to help broaden societal awareness of transgender people but I have to ask how do you think that some like giant bigot is gonna be scrolling through your city code and they're gonna be like yeah man hold weight maintenance whole oh I should be more accepting of gender non-binary people I've seen the rainbow even more so you're using terms that kind of already exists by changing terms like policeman to police officer no one who reads this code is suddenly going to be brought societal awareness that some people are gender non-conforming how is this going to help gender non-conforming or transgender people the only way this would ever help is if one you had a crazy transgender person who has even dumb enough to get offended by a term like man hole looking through your city code and then saw gender non-conforming language and then they were happy honey you aren't doing anything to actually help transgender people you're doing this cheap move to garner woke liberal brownie points at the expense of transgender people if you actually cared about transgender people you wouldn't be doing the bare minimum so if you want to change your city code in this asinine kind of way go for it I'm not stopping you no one is but don't pretend that you're doing this out of some deep care for transgender people when in reality you're not you're trying to gather some woke brownie points and you're using transgender individuals as your political pawns
