BUYING CARS AT AUCTION IN JAPAN!

welcome to today's video and it is a special one we are here at uss yokohama to bid and potentially win and buy a car today i hope you guys are excited for an inside look in the auctions here in japan uh today we're going to be very very careful what we do film and how we film it so that the video can stay up but uh today hopefully we're going home with the car but you won't find out about that till the next video so uh enjoy the ride while we're here at the auctions and hopefully we get to check out some cool cars so the first place i like to check out at the auctions is always the junk section like no claim section because you just find random stuff like this corvette how freaking badass would this be to have in japan um bear in mind though this thing is definitely beat up like really badly beat up it has been sitting in someone's yard for a very long time dude the retro old red leather so freaking cool it smells so bad in here that looks like some kind of weird switch down there like this is so cool but also i'm scared to touch anything in here and i put my hand on the leather the hood i mean i don't know if this is going to open man i kind of want to look for the leather leather lever i think that's it there and it's just a wire yeah ah it pulls but i don't know if it's gonna open i don't even know how to open one of these i think it pops from here but yeah it does but it's like stuck and wedged down dude this is so freaking cool does this have an ls in here i almost want to buy it if there's a running engine in it yeah all fiberglass but the body's pretty you could fix that pretty easily but dude this was like my favorite corvette era such a baller looking cut oh it's messed up in this corner too yeah not worth it but still cool i don't know what knuckles this guy is running but that's some serious angle must be some wise fab or something going on hey that's good this h6 got wrecked bad i want to pop the hood see if it has like a supercharger or something it'd be cool if it did nope oh dude yo hk supercharger kit hell yeah holy crap that coil over broke good damn this is actually got some cool parts on here wouldn't be a bad buy just for parts this thing's kind of how you going old mercedes i don't i'm scared to open the hood on this thing because it's so rusted oh oh oh it does open it does open old inline six mercedes dual carburetor it's kind of cool um i'm just gonna leave the hood up because i don't want to move it it's so flimsy from all the rust could break it anymore oh no yeah it's closing it's closing you could break it any moment i don't want to be responsible for that got an old volvo here got a bunch of spare interior got a bongo this is cool old-school mr2 these are one of my favorite era ones too it's got a fair bit of rust there so not the greatest condition but it's got a nice kind of engine in there that's not the three ct that's the ae uh that's the motor that was in the ae86 the forage right cool cars these get overlooked all the time very underrated a lot of guys in the states are doing v8 swaps on these and v6 swaps very cool car nice wheels on there too the crash section here is always so good yo what is this what is this did we just find a come up yo all right unos okay all right i didn't see any damage if the motor ain't running this would be such a come up i can't get in there dude it looks so clean oh my god if the engine's blown i wouldn't even care i'd buy this dude rotary swap this thing be so cool ah i love these cars so much all right this nissan leaf had a good time dude the crashes what is this spider dude no freaking way this is so cool oh the hood's been like bent up this thing's been like broken into at some point alfa romeo spider [Laughter] yeah it's got some mold going in there i don't think the roof has been closed on this in a long time that sucks dude such a cool looking car like old school retro that sucks that it was just left out and open to the weather and what is this uh this s2000 in here for is this ap 1 or ap2 how do you tell just by looking at it looks like it's being towed so most likely the engine's dead whoo that looks clean as yeah there's a good chance the motor is how you're going on this there's a few weird things going on looks like the the vacuum pcv valve hose has been pulled popped off and you can see all the coil packs have been undone so someone's done a compression test on this and realize the engine's blown and just left it as is that's very easy to tell all the bolts missing from the coil packs yeah and that's been undone so yeah someone did a compression test on that engine's blown so here it is probably going to get that for a steal if you know how to do an engine swap there's a 32 gtr here uh the hood is completely destroyed i think this flew up at some point but this thing is super cool got one of those old pexi uh blowoff valves and a big turbo chilling down there big single low on that low mount the way that he's done his airflow here is very very cool just like boxed off no filter straight in there power steering from relocated to the back this manifold though it's split into literally right there wow yeah that waste gate is split into big hks the wastegate's chilling down there very cool though very cool like early 90s whole thing is cage oh these are rare mirrors actually that's worth a lot of money oh it's even got the wait was this no this had to be raced back in the day wait what correct six speed power system wait does this have a really old dude i think this might have a g-force in it it's got a rom selector too and it's got one of the really cool like old stack dashes this is very hard to see but oh man you can't see in there at all and the car's locked this is really cool interesting definitely probably raced back in the day very interesting car wow super cool this thing would still probably sell for a lot of money like 20 oh i'd say like at least like 15 grand this would sell for a lot of good parts on it this is kind of scary i'm so i really hope no one was sitting in the back of this car because uh yeah that's literally insane my god it pushed the rear seat so far forward jeez sometimes in these cars you find blood everywhere so i'm just glad it's all good what oh this was a car sharing car look it's an oryx car share um uh system built into it so this was yeah one of those car sharing cars here in japan so like people all like pay a certain amount like every month to be able to share and book the car and someone rear-ended the hell out of this thing damn it's got to be like a truck or something because it just went right in there far out now if it was a truck the roof would be flat that's got to be something else and the roof is all buckled like that far out so we had to quickly duck inside because one of the cars that i'm bidding on is uh coming up really really soon so uh i'm chilling in here with the button making sure i don't buy mini cooper today because that would be a bad decision we learned that last time for certain reasons i can't show you guys the screen but here we go oh it's going for a little bit more than i was expecting but i need this car and i know these things normally go for a lot more someone really wants this crap it's probably going to kill you guys not knowing what i'm bidding on and buying today at the auctions but check it out new super here even these things are in the auctions here in japan people trying to flip them this one's been here for a while unsold you can tell with all the dust that's chilling on it but uh i guess the owner of this car realized he just bought a more expensive bmw with a toyota badge on there and he didn't like it so probably didn't like it as well you can tell by just the tyres you put on this thing it looks so gross with those anyways so we finally came to the party floor where all the cool cars are damn couple of nice s15s here not sure about this arrow front lip though that's kind of crazy but damn nice spec either definitely some interesting arrow with uh the rear here interesting looks clean though definitely nice i'm not interested in this red one this one oh nice mr2 next to it too sounds cool top speed over fenders i can't open it interiors all stripped out in the back with what looks like a really weird homemade kind of half roll bar in the back it's kind of weird let's have a look yo pink valve cover okay i dig i dig i hear you interesting this is a really good cut like the way it's been built with the intercooler in the front there does it still have ac no aircon has been deleted uh z32 airflow meter so this hasn't been tuned anytime recent no one uses a z32 airflow meters anymore in japan so this has probably been sitting in someone's yard for a while actually this valve cover looks really familiar i may have seen this on yahoo auctions recently interesting that it's here still looks like a really nice s15 though this thing will probably sell for a lot still too these things are starting to go up in value very very quickly people are expecting these to sell for like 30 40 grand plus once they're available in the states this thing's only done 68 000 k's too it's r because it's got all the replaceable panels on there ac has been deleted whole bunch of stuff here d1 spec parts everywhere under it apparently it's got like knuckles and all that stuff going on down here too toyo proxies on oh yeah it's got some old arms on there this thing hasn't been uh i don't think this thing has been drifted in a long time it's probably been sitting in storage for a while it's got some old stuff on it still very cool car and would be really good for someone to pick up and get into it another s15 directly behind it this one's got a whole bunch of parts in it too a whole bunch of fenders trunks like just spare parts everywhere inside that one nice this one hasn't been too molested still got the stock airflow meter that's a good sign that this thing hasn't been thrashed because you can't really tune and thrash one of these if it's still got the stock airflow meter so that means the boost isn't turned up really high nice red too i dig this red i'd say this was probably more so used for like just normal grip stuff he's got some grippy ties on there a little bit of canards and stuff pretty nice adjustable coil overs interior is pretty modest oh it's got one of those uh bolting cages that doesn't go through the dash super weird with how the pole comes through and bends like that it's kind of annoying in my opinion overall pretty nice it's got a recaro party seat interior's pretty decent hey not bad the keys in here yo yoshio factory yashiro factory shift knob my guy shout out to this this previous owner who actually had some class battery is dead though so it won't start bummer interesting this cage goes through the back so cutting the interior a bunch of exhaust parts fenders not bad this would be a good car for someone good spec r this varossa is amazing perfect seriously i would buy this and shred this thing at nico circuit instantly on tes beautiful paint job front mount intercooler um project mu full break upgrade with two piece rotors thing is ready for partying uh bridge nice d-max uh sorry nice uh what is that a moment wheel um i'd shred this thing and it's manual ready to go oh there's a youtube channel on the back huh i might check that out later maybe the the guy used to own it anyways cool car whole bunch of daffy gauges on the dash as well to be very sick car caged out too i don't know if i said that ready for fun got a 35 gtr up here too these things really are a nice car definitely only daily i think this will be locked this won't be open yeah a lot of the more expensive cars don't have keys in them nice though definitely a daily for the wifey later just spotted i think an evo 5. it looks like it has a tme bumper though i don't know if that's fiberglass or not oh please be open so i can inspect ah it's locked damn it this could actually be oh i think it is a tme oh it's so hard to see the seats it is a tme it is a tv damn it if only the engine was broken in this i could buy the super cheap and use all the panels so nice it's been resprayed though that's definitely not oem paint um you can tell it's been re-sprayed there's a few places with a little bit of overspray too looks really good though oh this would be cool yeah man i can't wait till my evo's ready i need this wing really bad right mine has like some really weird evo five wing on it hell yeah 34. nice two-door you guys know how much i like it looks like it's been resprayed it's got a little bit of a gtr look-alike lip on the front of the hood it's got to be a gtt though yes gtt nice it's so sad that these are selling for upwards of like 3 million yen right now like 30 grand they are so expensive it seems kind of clean i don't like the wheels on there i think these are reps these don't look like real wheels to me hard to tell yeah yeah i think these are reps duh oh damn it's locked too manual this thing will probably be selling for upwards of 20 30 grand today anywhere between there maybe even more depending how many k's are on it i can't see the sheet oh wait i just realized the whole passenger window is open so i can lean in and have a look what are we looking at here 54 000 kilometers this thing is going to sell for 30 grand easily so such low kilometers really nice clean 34. i like the error on it too the silica breath respray may devalue it a bit actually i think my favorite thing about the yokohama auctions is that it's all under cover you're in just like this huge big undercover car park multiple levels as you go through and find what you're looking for nice eight six there but i think i spotted oh i thought i saw a bayside blue i saw a base i blew through the cars and i was like oh it's going to be gtr but it's a wrx sdi hatch still very very cool oh s15 and s14 ah it's so much fun walking through here 370z2 oh yes all right s14s are still kind of cheap in japan believe it or not and this one would probably be fairly cheap with all the paint damage and clear coat oh beautiful chairs all wrecked some would probably sell for a little bit got a evc boost controller tv on the dash cracking paint everywhere look at that all the pexy speed meter that's so freaking retro and cool is all stripped out looks like a party car looks like a fun car we're neutral come on come on yeah you got a noisy belt oh it's a cookie it's a cookie all right i'm just trolling it to cokey boys you know i know how to say that right engine doesn't sound the best actually yeah i might shut that off it doesn't sound like it's healthy [Music] yeah definitely doesn't sound that good it sounds like something's grinding i don't know if the camera's gonna pick that up but that does not sound that healthy oh the door is all tweaked oh the door is really bent and out of place she's like tilting down all of this around here is kind of messed up too this would be a really cheap car good for like a street beater fixer up have some fun yeah it's had crash damage a lot uh it's done a hundred thousand k's though still low k's oh class obviously because of all the both on parts well siri shut up um yeah overall it's not too bad it definitely needs a lot of love like it's it's old and beat up but you have some fun with this we got what looks like a speck s maybe let's have a look uh it is a spec r oh damn it's got the orange didn't those orange sheets only come out in the ortec not bad not bad looks pretty unmolested looks like it's sat for a long time though it's got dry rot tyres winter tires on there nice nice keys in ignition battery's dead interesting i thought only ortex came with the orange interior let's see well the hood pop whoa this has sat for a long time and this is as stock as they come wow damn that's really unfortunate rust up there rust in the corners here too oh really bad really really bad unfortunately yeah this is a very big skip everything else in the car is really nice it's unmolested if you could get that stuff fixed up it'd be good but what worries me is the winter tires the snow tires and what's the rest of the car gonna look like if there's rust in those places oh yeah do not touch this car at all this came from like somewhere oh yeah holy crap this is bad man holy crap this is bad do not touch this car get another shell reshell this that's that's your that's your plan of attack on this so sad too because it's an oem red dude the sub frames like cracked and split from rust in certain places this is really bad let's not touch this anyone i feel bad for anyone who buys this actually unless they're doing a chassis swap so this is so bad look at all the rust that's sitting on the ground just from this thing moving here yeah oh like even the number plate is all rusted and screwed that's a good indication too you can look look at the number plate holder to see like the rest of the car if it was in a snowy condition because this is all snapped and rusted apart damn f in chat boys like look at this oh man like even in the rear quarters here there's a hole straight through there geez this is so sad like even in the wheel wheel wells here it's all like oh yeah it's rusted so bad very bad car engine wise interior wise beautiful take everything out of this and put it in a clean chassis this thing would be mint perfect for a swap for uh you know spec ass oh yeah look at this even in here in here behind the wheel full hole rusted there far out oh my god all in the seal up the back there all split and coming apart geez where was this car stored look for the snow tires on these things man if you see snow tires start looking for rust because if this thing came from like hokkaido someone with a lot of snow junk don't touch them that's a perfect example of that jeez be careful out there guys but here we have a chaser that looks like it's perfect for evie sue it's got a side swipe a bit of rattle can spray paint everywhere this would be perfect for a missile and it'd be super easy to fix too a little bit of bog should be good automatic so we're gonna need a manual see if he'll start sounds good comes with a complimentary air freshener not bad this thing would be a mint minty minty missile let's pop that hood let's have a look we've got a one jv bti there we got something yuck oh it's got the parking thing there damn very yuck [Music] so sucky no turbo bummer but still this would be a perfect chassis to take you get this super super cheap if you gotta want a 1jvti drivetrain to drop in you'd have a chaser ready for drifting and that's probably what we're going to have to end up doing to my chaser at some point there's no doubt i'm going to put that thing into someone else's car or into a wall and then we'll just chassis swap it with one of these not bad just spotted what looks to be a really clean z32 once again such an underrated car i feel like these get a lot of hate i don't blame them because anyone that owns one has no like skin left on their knuckles but there's such a cool car oh it's a t-top target top or whatever it's called keys in the ignition neutral whoa that sounds nice let's give her a little pep nothing too big that sounds cool spot the hood i love that you can just walk around and literally like check cars like this out listen to them start them up v6 do sound good on these nice n a non-turbo but still sounds good cool car your filter's so high up there so weird nice though these cars really are heavily underrated the hype for these is just so low people need to get more amongst them i know a lot of people have been doing like rb swaps and jay-z swaps on them though very cool car i wonder if you know how they live in tokyo another nice gtr this one red make sure an amg i like the green accents on this yeah the wheels the brakes looks really nice i dig that really nice tour of the crester here oh it's locked damn it i want to see this is actually really clean it's been manual oh oh the door's open door's open it's got a key where's the other side locked that's weird i can hear that jay-z [Music] all right let's pop that hood let's see what's in here this is really nice where are we there we go 1jz nosh damn that's nice oh every every 90 has this problem with the gas struts sounds good manual swap too nice boost leak right there holds right through [Music] this is so nice it's a really clean 90. this should actually still sell for like 1.5 so like 15 to 20 grand these are going up so much in price oh she's a bit smoky on the d cell actually yeah turbo's blown yeah blown turbo for sure found a couple jzx100s that i'm checking out this one's uh seeing better days something's really weird has happened to the clear coat on this uh looks like a manual swapped tour of e good way to check is just quickly pop this out and you can see if it's oem or swapped just by looking under the boot this actually may be an oem one interesting no well it has traction control on and off there i was pretty sure that traction control is only in the auto ones but i could be wrong let's see what she sounds like until he's done 169 000k so if every few k's sounds pretty quiet not too bad i'm too bad let's pop the hood yeah not bad at all not bad at all really nice really really nice got a nice gritty piping kit and front mount same kit that used to be on my chaser really nice this would do well a couple other really nice cars here we got a 32 gtr nice fd rx7 really clean except it's got uh some double-sided taped on side skirts that are all coming off here um i always it's locked it's 32 gtr is quite nice of course it's going to be locked it's not too bad dash is in pretty good condition no big bubbles a few swell marks in the paint but not bad another nice s15 here not bad very unmolested actually this is a nice one not bad spec r pretty good over fenders that's about it little wing not too bad inside the bidding room looks as crazy as ever so many screens so just finished bidding and i did win the car that i came here to win which is really exciting you'll have to find out in tomorrow's video what it was i'm really sorry uh for not letting you guys know and i'm sure a lot of you guys are gonna be guessing put it down in the comment section to guess what you think i got today and uh maybe we'll organize a price for the person if anyone guesses it it was a mini [Laughter] um but that aside guys i think we're kind of done with today we're gonna pretty much pack up and head home i've gotta drive a new car home um so we're gonna go get the keys and sort all
