if you've ever thought about live streaming your PlayStation 5 gameplay to Twitch and YouTube it's something that many people have done in the past for the fun of it and even for the monetary benefits that can come from cultivating an audience one of the easiest ways you can jump into live streaming with the PS5 is using the features that are built in right within the console but this comes with its own set of limitations you don't get as much customization as you would with the computer setup that's why in today's video I'm going to be showing you the cheapest most budget friendly streaming setup that you can create to broadcast your PlayStation 5 gameplay in the best quality possible let's get to it in this box I have the first of a couple budget friendly essential components that are necessary to build up this custom stream setup this right here is the black view mini PC which is marketed as a gaming PC but I picked it up for a hell of a good price at about $180 it has 16 GB of RAM and an Intel Celeron chip hold up hold up hold up hold up I know Intel Celeron chips are notoriously horrible CPUs but doing a little digging on the specific chip that this was I saw that it had a quad core processor which is one of the primary things you want to make sure you have if you're planning on streaming using a specific computer this thing fit the criteria so I'm hoping that it performs well so let's get into it get on out of there it opens up kind of like a a little little booklet there this computer does come with Windows 11 built right in on it should just be a matter of plugging this thing in and we're going to need some extra Peres to go along with this for the mouse I'm using this Logitech M3 25 model it's like 10 bucks or so online very cheap keyboard I just picked up a random one on Amazon really really cheap it's a wir one not wireless since the computer that I'm using here is not a laptop we're going to need a display so that we can actually do things on the computer I picked up this bad boy off of Amazon called the U perfect portable monitor it's a full HD 1080p display comes with its own case it's 15.6 in and takes an HDMI connection as for the price of this display I only paid 100 [Music] bucks sure sure all right we we'll we'll wait it it's fine it's going to chill it's going to relax it's all good bro it's all good actually you know what while we're waiting let me show you the stream gear we're going to be incorporating within this setup number number one is the webcam and this one's you know pretty basic I'd say but this is the Logitech C920 webcam it does offer 1080p 30 FPS resolution you can pick up this webcam for as low as 60 bucks are there cheaper webcams out there of course but I think this one's pretty decent for the quality that you get plus it only really matters but so much because you're going to be shrinking this webcam down at the end of the day to have a face cam for your gameplay I'll show you guys how you can do that uh in the Stream software in a minute the next piece of streaming equipment that we have here is the microphone and this is the Nano USB gaming mic oh man this one is actually the full kit version so this one's going to be around 50 bucks but if you just want to have the microphone itself you can get this for around $35 the cool thing about this microphone though is that it's designed for gamers it has an RGB light that can light up on the inside of the microphone giving it a nice glow also in the packaging is a pop filter which is great and on the top of the microphone it does have a mute indicator switch in case you want to mute your mic in real time okay I have one more essential streaming Tech item to include in this setup what do you guys think that might be what's the one thing that we haven't touched on as of yet in this video and it's critical okay I I'll I'll spoil it for you now it's a capture card and the one that we have here is the ribo Zen 4K capture card now it doesn't record in 4k but you can pass 4K 60 and capture gameplay up to 1080p60 using this capture card this is what the capture card looks like it's the slim wallet size looking device what else do we have in the Box we get an HDMI cable I hope what is this that looks like a USB cable that's important for connecting it to our computer and then we have our HDMI cable here how much did this C capture card cost $25 correct $25 that's as low as you can get this capture card and the highest I've seen it is $50 but now it looks like the windows has fully finished at this point it's feeling smooth so far the next thing that we can do now is head over to streamlabs.com I put a link in the description below so you can check it out but this is the software that we're going to be downloading to be able to push our live streams to streaming platforms such as twitch YouTube Facebook kick let's go ahead and open this bad boy up I agree install we're going to go ahead and select finish and run this application so it should launch here in just a second there we go let's go ahead and connect my YouTube account we're going to need to log in on this next setup screen we need to connect the webcam microphone and even the capture card that I just showcased to you guys [Music] and now for the capture card let's get our HDMI cable out first and we're going to plug it into the HDMI outslide for the PS5 right now this HDMI cable is going to the monitor to display whatever is coming out of the PlayStation 5 but what I'm going to want to do here is actually unplug this and then plug this HDMI cable into the HDMI outs slot like so and then take the other end of this cable we're going to want to plug this into the PlayStation and next in order for the capture card to work with the PlayStation 5 htcp has to be disabled within the console settings the only other thing that we need is the USB cable as this will transmit the capture card gameplay signal to our computer since I just plugged in all that stuff it probably doesn't detect that I put all those things in so I'm just going to skip through all this and we're just going to start off by making our own custom scene this first scene over here that's just named Scene right now I'm going to right click rename that to gaml and then within my sources I'm going to select this plus button and then we're going to add a video capture device Source first add source and this is going to be our capture card the riboin capture card to be exact add source and then within here we're going to select the drop-down and then right here you see USB 3.0 video that's actually the capture card Source in this case so we're going to select that there's our gaml there's no other settings that I really need to change here we're going to go ahead and select close and you can see our game play right at the top there next let's add our face cam so we're going to select the plus button again we're going to go back and add another video capture device Source add Source we're not going to add an existing one we're going to add a new one and this one's going to be called FaceCam add source and then we're going to select that drop down again and this time we're going to select the Logitech C920 webcam and when we do that it should turn on there we are let close and as you can see that just popped up above my gameplay now let's talk about the audio side of this stream setup what we're going to do is go to our settings and then we're going to go to audio for desktop audio we have this set to default right now I actually don't want to have my desktop audio recorded at least for what we're doing in this video for our mic auxiliary device this is where we're going to want to select that USB microphone that we plugged into the computer so that myano RGB mic and then for mic auxiliary 2 for our capture card audio this one is called digital audio interface USB 3.0 for those of you out there that want to use the Elgato chat Link cable to pull audio from your controller into the capture card you can actually do that by just plugging it into the mic input of this device and the audio will automatically switch from HDMI which is how the audio is passed over by default from the PlayStation 5 to the capture card to the computer and it'll switch over to the chat link audio so that you can hear the audio from the controller as well as being able to chat with your teammates and have it recorded in streamlabs or in OBS once you're all good with your audio settings go ahead and select done and in your mixer here you should see your microphone audio that you added in as well as your capture card audio let's see if this works without any hiccups if we try to record here we are in a live gameplay example of the quality using this black view computer an under $200 computer for that matter I'm uh definitely a little bit skeptical of the quality right now I can see that the the game preview that I'm looking at in streamlabs is not is not in perfect alignment with what I'm seeing on uh on my monitor it's not supposed to be but it should be pretty close like less than a second off for sure and I and I think it's definitely definitely at least a second behind but this is quite a wonderful time right now to be able to be in the OG fortnite space while being able to do this video for an example so hopefully we can not embarrass ourselves completely one thing I did forget to mention is that we do have some lighting um in our face that you guys should definitely you know have as a part of your stream setup cuz if you have no lighting you're not going to have a very good uh stream and my lighting specifically is the UB size 10in ring light come on no we're not dying today not dying today baby now I know you guys are probably curious on the best settings used to record and stream using this lowbudget computer so what you guys just saw was recorded using the default streamlab settings at 720p at a 2500 bit rate using the software encoder and to be quite honest the gameplay quality was looking like some straight dog water choppy and low quality is just not the vibe you want to go for so changing ing the settings to a 5,000 bit rate using the hardware qsv encoder option in a 1080p quality things were looking much better out of the streamlabs desktop application as well as OBS Studio after doing a similar test there overall I was impressed with the gameplay capturing performance out of the black view computer especially when using the hardware encoder as frames weren't skipping and the quality was able to hold itself for a long duration of time it's important to keep in mind though that this was without adding a whole bunch of overlays and Graphics over top of the gameplay adding those things would definitely end up slowing the computer down substantially which is why I still recommend to you guys to save up put a little bit more money aside each and every month and save up for a quality machine like something from Aus or Acer any sort of decent quality legitimate gaming computer something with dedicated graphics in it I have plenty of recommendations that I have Linked In the description below as well you don't want to invest money into something like this for the long term save up it'll be far more worth it I appreciate you guys watching through to the end of this video to see how it all turned out at the end like And subscribe to the channel if you're new around here and let me know in the comment section below what type of setup tutorial video you would like to see next and with that I'll see youall in the next one peace
