bleaching my own hair | brad mondo please don't be disappointed

I can't believe I'm doing this I should have gone to a hairdresser hundred percent right now that's my thinking I regret it already [Music] hi guys it's ashli welcome back to my channel today I'm gonna be doing probably one of the worst decisions of my life made me one of the best we will see it is currently 10:45 p.m. is the ideal time to be doing this no kind of but today I don't even tell everything is different length so this is probably not a good but there am I got my happy I got my stuff from Sally's it was only 45 dollars pretty insane I just keep talking because I'm stalling cuz I'm terrified but I've watched about 30 brad mando videos so if that doesn't mean I'm qualified then I guess I don't know what will please do not bleach your hair at home just don't this is never a good idea it's not easy to do at home I guess I'm just gonna have to get started why am I doing this well you see I've always loved blonde hair on literally anyone I think it is the prettiest hair color like of all time one time that was in fifth grade I don't like this much of my hair like literally this just he'll like it was disgusting so I guess my hair has been bleached before but that was done at a salon he was my neighbor who did it she is a hair stylist should I just have asked her to do this blonde hair 100% 100% should have done that would have been the savory would have been the smart route but you know my here we are one time I gave myself a haircut um that was probably like five months ago I want to say and it turned out pretty good I'm associate of hair feels so healthy I was really about to mess up or or it's gonna turn out great please do not bleach your hair at home now I have to make some a developer and my bleach I'm gonna read the instructions and I'll come back to you oh it looks like a cake legs mm-hmm it's chunky should I have used a waste all right I have it all mixed up here's where we're at um please find out I know I shouldn't have bet was that myself right like realistically should have had a friend should have had my mom but no because it is currently now like 11:10 p.m. and I'm doing this by myself I can't I'm gonna throw up I cannot believe I'm about to do this on my own hair okay actually if like in Asia to half I should just use my fingers or should I use the brush I'm just gonna use my fingers okay um you know um I'm so nervous I can't go back I can't go back if I do I'm gonna have blonde hair try to do this should I do this I'm having a midlife quarter life crisis should I do this I'm gonna die I'm gonna have a stroke I literally cannot I'm just gonna do it okay we're doing okay the bleach is on my fingers and I'm gonna put it in my hair I'm gonna put it in my hair oh my god oh my god oh my god okay I need a lot more than this on Brad Tommy anything my boy Brad mondo okay there's okay you literally can't see it okay let me put a little bit more he literally put so much on cuz he knows what he's doing okay there but now how do I take the rest of it out when my hands have this much on them oh I feel like I can already see getting so much lighter okay oh my god Oh guys can you see that okay I'm going good safe okay here's ten minutes from it is 11:14 right now so okay now I'm gonna take this piece out I'm just gonna take it all out and I'm still gonna start from the bottom obviously but I think it's gonna be a lot easier this way oops oh my god hair came out oh one a single hair I'm nervous we're just gonna do this next piece we're gonna start in the back pieces I hope it looks good on me I don't know I like I loved my hair was blonde and I was a baby but also I don't look for years old anymore so the chance of it's still looking good might not be amazing I'm gonna wait it now it is 1122 I'm gonna wait till about like 10 minutes and then I'm into my group alright boys we're back um I just looked in the mirror and to say the least it's not looking good oh shoot gloves I'm okay so I'm gonna do my roots now it has been okay the back is definitely sad pretend that it's otherwise everything else to stop her about like the front sat for about seven minutes so I think by the time I get to the front I did this side last that's what I'm gonna do their words last time I'm worried my scalp is gonna burn because my ears unlike my neck that it's touching like kind of hurt a lot okay okay you overlooked it um it really looks really bad on camera here we are um I'm very nervous I have a lot of like little hairs up here so that's why I am put it down so far but anyways I actually I'm so excited so I'm going to put it in to one of these little hair nets right now and I'm gonna spray some water in there and then we're gonna watch it right now and Allison my head just not hurt nearly as bad as I thought it would basically everything that just like stinks is like my face that I got on or like my ears hurt a little bit I've been definitely not washing it for a couple days health and so I'm so excited okay so it's currently 11:48 so I'm gonna leave it on for I don't know I'm gonna keep checking it to see how light it is I know it says you can leave it on for 50 minutes and after that it'll dry out so it won't really get any lighter but I basically want it as light as it can be so that hopefully my toner works because I think it would be a level 10 or level 9 toner which I don't even know if I can get without dark my hair's hey guys I'm wearing a hood so you can't see how my hair turns out but I was just editing this video and I wanted to hop on here and explain a few things a little bit better because it's kind of confusing if you don't know what I'm talking about and so in this part I was talking about a level-10 toner and if you look at this chart you can see that like a black hair would be a level one and then a level ten is like the lightest blonde that you can get and so basically if you buy a toner that's for level ten and you only have like a level eight or a level nine hair it won't really work so that's just basically what I was saying that I was concerned that I wouldn't wasn't gonna be able to work if my hair wasn't light enough I'm so scared but I think also if it looks bad I think if I get more tan hey so I'm about 20-ish minutes into letting it sit in here I don't know if I just felt a piece of hair like subtle because it's sitting weirdly after I put it into this hairnet or if a piece of hair just fell out of my head either way I felt movement and I just wanted to let you guys know that if it all falls out when I'm washing it in the shower I just hope you guys would support me and my shaved head thank you all love you alright cuz it's been sitting for almost 50 minutes it's really so warm like to the touch but I'm just scared to like touch it but I'm really hoping it's like as light as I need it to be for this toner I really don't want to bleach it again I'm not sure what I'm gonna do but anyways catch you after the show so I just got a shower this is what we're dealing with it looks a little bit less yellow in person if I'm being honest but as you can see my roots are so much wider which is what I tried so hard to not have happened so I'm just a little disappointed that like that happened but at least I know that my hair can get that light you know what I mean so I think tomorrow I'm gonna have to go to Sally's and buy some more like lower developer cuz the only thing I have is my like sakes from my toner but I also want I think a different color toner anyways so I might buy that but yeah I'm definitely not bleaching it again tonight or anything because I don't wanna do too much more damage to right away but maybe when I wake up and I look less bad it just seems kind of splotchy to me also like this part like these are all different colors I don't know okay it looks so hot for yellow of my screen but anyways yeah so I'll see you in so um I found this toner that my mom's hairdresser gave her and so I'm gonna be using this instead of like going to get one just because I have I have this one if I want two more yellow you know and then this one I think should just cancel out all the yellow that's at least what it says it's gonna do I brushed it and in the middle of shave it looks like there's a lot of variation like um I don't know if you can see it um there's like some parts I have more yellow and so I'm thinking and the ends are definitely like a little bit lighter so I'm thinking that'll make it looking more like natural than just like one straight color I also I'm just saying that it definitely might not be true we'll see I guess this vlo I really woke up and looked at like [Music] [Music] okay guys I told her and honestly what kinda looks like it's turning like green I'm hoping that just you know it's just slow dealing with because it's so yeah but I guess we'll see washing now but now I'm gonna leave it in it says 15 to 30 units I'm just gonna keep an eye on it and see like how it develops but he was looking a little bit better already so hopefully it works out it's definitely it's so high I hope it does okay it looks very blue it in person I really hope it's not blue yellow so if I wash it out I guess hi guys so it is currently 10:30 p.m. which means it is taking me 24 hours students at this point where I had to go to work so I did that it's like still kind of yellow I think it's showing up a little bit less yellow on camera actually is but I went back to Sally's okay so I still have my original shrimping boat which is kind of yellow so that's my backup if I don't like the like a she like cold tone colors but basically at Sally's I bought 10 volume developer because I want to mix it with the 30 to make like a little bit higher than 10 just but it kind of slightly highlights the colors and they'll just bring it up like a level or two and so that's just what I want for like the dark parts but I don't know if I go in and just do only those parts or what I should do but I know those really confusing so basically how developerworks is a 10 developer will only deposit colors so if you have really light hair and you want it to be brown you'd use the 10 and then basically you would use the 20 if you only wanted it to go up a couple of like I showed you earlier like if you wanted it to go from like a level seven to a level nine you would use the 20 volume developer and then 30 is what I used to bleach my hair and anything above 30 is just like way too harsh for like your scalp especially so that's why I just use the 30 instead of the 40 on my scalp and when I bleached my hair and then I bought her like cooler toned toner and then I also bought for my roots I'm definitely you don't want to do a shadow I decided because my cuz it's like so much whiter than the rest of my hair a shadow or a shadow root is basically just when your hair is darker at the very roots and so it looks like your hair was dyed a couple weeks ago and it kind of like ties into the color of your eyebrow so yeah I got this color it's like a medium smoky ash blonde I don't really but I kind of just wanted to be over it was so far from over so I think what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna tone all of my hair first and then do I'll do like the shadow roots after because I think that'll be the easiest and then I'll make sure like the color looks good but yeah I tried to find a color that would like good go with my eyebrows cuz I think that's why I don't like like it right now is cuz my eyebrows are so dark it just looks so weird like such a you know yellowy I don't know that yellow color lavender Christ so this is called that's a scary name hairs definitely from the last toner we did it's definitely a wider but it's just not like where I wanted to be at all [Music] make sure mixed up I basically did one part the toner I came into a little bit of the time just because I got scared but here we are okay I'm gonna put it in okay it says 20 minutes right now it is 10:40 exactly so I'm going to put it in the very dark spots I think that seems like a really good idea okay this is what it looks like no no I just got out of the shower um it kind of looks the same I feel like I can also see a big difference like down here but up here I think I might have to tone it again but I also do think it looks more gray than it did before but also these parts right here are definitely like blue over green so I'm definitely gonna have to do the room shadow but I was already planning on that anyways so anyways I'm gonna go to bed now and let my hair air dry best of my ability before I could lay down and go to bed but I will see you guys in the morning hi guys it is the next morning after I toned it golden okay it's hard to see because we go more into the natural light hopefully that helps but I think it's pretty light actually but yeah I definitely I think it's pretty light actually I definitely will have to be Tony and again I think I'm gonna use this stuff again and just kind of do it and like the more the darker gold spots cuz the rest I kind of like the color but I might just home the whole thing again in a couple days I'm not sure because I don't know we'll just see how it looks in like other light when I go places but anyways today I'm doing this shadow roots I'm following this tutorial this girl online it makes me kind of nervous that Brad mondo didn't make one but whatever it's fine I'm just gonna have to do it and hope this girl knows what she's doing but anyways so I could find a dark toner so I'm using this permanent liquid hair color so it looks like this was just kind of like making me nervous I don't know why but it basically says to makes it one part this with two parts the Wella color charm developer but I don't have that 10 is usually what people will use to just like deposit the color but I might just use the six because I think then it'll be like maybe a little bit less dark so I think that's what I'm gonna go with awful so I guess we will see how it'll go this smells the absolute worst smell Oh [Music] [Music] so here's how it's looking umm I had to make sure to get like all the bottoms and like the back and everything pretty well and then I went like in-between but now like my hair's moving and I keep thinking I have like whole brown hairs I don't think so but I'm just really nervous that it's gonna like ruin everything that I have so far but we're gonna wait 20 minutes and then wash it out and then we'll be back so this is what my hair looked like the day after I did the shadow root on it and as you can see the color didn't really stick I think I just didn't use a high enough developer but basically the next day my friend came over and she helped me redo it and it was honestly a lot easier because it was really hard for me to be able to see the back and make sure I wasn't like getting color anywhere I didn't want it to be and then after that and after about two weeks of me just procrastinating on finishing this video this is what my hair finally looks like in the end [Music]
