hello and welcome to another out of spec motoring video behind me is the volkswagen id3 and alyssa hello uh we are actually at the nurburgring if you see over here on the side of the hotel big nurburgring we are just finishing up uh two days of lapping having fun immersing ourselves in the culture here in the western part of germany it's one of my favorite places we went to piston class which is my favorite restaurant every time we visit the nurburgring lots of history of automotive great engineers we lapped the id3 around the track we also lapped the car that we'll be driving in this road trip video it's gonna be an epic road trip because we actually have booked about a week free we have about seven days where we can kind of do what we want to do and we are taking the porsche tycon turbo cross turismo so this is the wagon version of the ticon you guys know i love fast wagons and honestly it doesn't get much faster than this in a wagon form unless you get the turbo s but the turbo's still 700 horsepower with launch mode crazy fast car really cool we'll talk more about it but the little id3 has just been shredded around the nurburgring we're actually gonna leave it here because alyssa doesn't want to drive it no not that you don't want to drive the car she just doesn't want to drive on a big long road trip and we figured yeah it's probably easier just to take one car anyway for this adventure so let's run the intro and i'll explain where we're going what we're doing because it's going to be quite epic and a lot of stuff's happening [Music] so this is the car that we'll be taking on the trip this is the porsche tycoon turbo cross turismo of course we have it loaded up with our bags and everything let's open up the trunk here you can see oh yes full of our luggage this is the point of this car it's a fast gt car with 270 kilowatt charging all the way almost to 50 percent state of charge this is going to prove to be the ultimate road tripping ev i think uh really amazing fast charging plenty of good fast chargers throughout europe as well the spec on this one is awesome you can see here the light color interior with the really nice seats alcantara steering wheel which is growing on me the big options here for performance porsche dynamic chassis control rear steering which is just magical carbon ceramic brakes of course we have the front trunk with all of our charging equipment inside of it this one does have the 22 kilowatt ac charger on board so charges up really fast here plenty of 22 kilowatt posts here in europe later on in this video although there might be a part two we'll have to see depending on what we do we will collect the id3 we've asked our hotel here at the nurburgring if it's okay for them to watch over the car and leave it for us and they said yeah no problem just come pick it up whenever and so that's what we're doing this is the id3 pro you guys will see this coming into the channel more and maybe even last video we told you a little bit about it as well but for now we leave the nurburgring motorsport hotel we head north i think at least to hamburg which is in the north of germany from there we're going to go potentially grab another vehicle into sweden into oslo into up into norway of course and then maybe we'll even explore a little bit more of norway we'll have to see you see the original plan was to actually take the tycon up into norway for this portion of the trip but we recently received word from porsha that just because we didn't know this neither did they i don't think we could not bring the porsche in to norway we just can't because they're not part of the eu we would need to fill out all of this paperwork for our carne is what it's called basically a pass to allow this vehicle to visit norway because this isn't a rental car this is a porsche factory vehicle it would be considered smuggling if we drove this car into norway so the plan now is to either leave it in hamburg or sweden or maybe not even go to norway we'll have to figure it out we really don't know what we're doing just because we can't bring this car over the border so i also think that's funny because there's no tax on evs in norway but it's still it's a formal process that needs 15 days to complete none of us really knew on either side so it's no problem we'll figure it out but we might be taking some other cars up there we'll have to see we'll have to see i don't want to give anything away because it's not finalized yet either way we are in europe we have no real plans we just know we want to head north to the nordic countries we can at least do sweden we can go past there so let's jump in the porsche we're at about 90 state of charge we charged up last night underneath this hotel on a 22 kilowatt ac charger to full took it to lunch in atta now been amazing driving this car on the tight twisty roads with rear steering it's a big car but it is magical around the corners just how quickly and how easily this thing changes direction i absolutely love it let me know should we add one of these to our collection at home maybe not a turbo it's quite expensive but maybe a 4s or a 4 cross turismo something that i've been considering in the tycon now we know our first stop is going to be hamburg so let's go to search here let's type in h a m b u r g it's searching for hamburg there we go center i guess sure we'll just go to the city center that's awesome it says that's the end point let's see if it routes the chargers for us come on porsche you can do it it's thinking now about the chargers this is all very good indication so far we also have the passenger display over here which is so neat so alyssa from her side can actually monitor the navigation driving as well so you can have like a map there a map there a map here you'll never get lost in a tycon because you can go full maps all around the car [Laughter] so let's see if this finds all the chargers for us and wow just a couple seconds later yes it's already done route planning with two high-power chargers that are inside the porsche network so we'll just use our porsche card actually this car does support plug and charge but because it's a press vehicle we have to use a little card but as an owner of this car you would just plug in because it's inside the porsche network looks like the next stop's in 179 kilometers we have a projected 247 but keep in mind we've been ripping around the nurburgring so we might even be able to surpass this charger we'll see because we'll probably get better efficiency out on the open road rather than shredding around the racetrack so let's head out now we have again 87 state of charge our battery pack is pretty warm and it's actually actively warming itself up you can see this is what tycon does it keeps it right around mid 80 degree temperature range low 90s for perfect road tripping and it has a 10 state of charge arrival to our charging stop exactly what we want to see nice job portia let's head out on our adventure are you excited yes where do you what do you want to do you want to see some waterfalls oh wait always waterfalls alyssa loves waterfalls so we'll see what we can do should be a blast we'll find some cool cars to drive i don't know we have no plans into drive let's go [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] so of the best parts about tycon is the rear steer in this particular car so we have a turbo but it has all of the performance options on it so what that means is we have all the power in the world to just blast away out of here but then also for the corners it handles like a smaller car so look at this just coming out of the corner hard on the power into second gear off just rips look at the views off to the right absolutely amazing roads and driving through here look at this switchback we're coming up to so this is where we're going to use the carbon ceramic brakes to haul us down to a stop so here we go hard on the braking look at that instant braking throwing it into a corner look to the right here power on the exit look at that really nice balance on the way out then we're coming back in under braking let's turn traction control all the way up there we go psm switched off we don't need any of that all of our stuff flying around the back and big power on the exit just an amazing bit of road and it just rips it demolishes these back roads it's crazy of course we'll blow through our charge driving like this but with 265 kilowatt region also that's able to be maintained through abs it's pretty incredible this road is stupidly good not only is the track good around here the roads are really good too so it's a good thing that the porsche trip calculation updates all of our chargers depending on our driving style coming in through the real switchback so you're standing on the brake pedal stuffing it in big power on the exit and it's just it's such a balanced car it's so fun to drive so great so nimble the chassis is just uh incredible i think i have to own one of these cars certainly everyone will comment the plaid's faster in a straight line the plaid's faster on the nurburgring look nothing against the plaid i'm sure it's a crazy cool car there's no way you can make a model s drive like this car though the tactility the way that you just stuff it into a corner and it pivots with rear steer it's magical it's mind bending it's physics bending and i think we'll just blow through too much charge if i keep driving it too quickly so back into normal mode we're out of the twisties and uh now we head to same driving road tripping that's the thing with the tycon amazing on a back road amazing on a race track and then when it comes to long distance with this charging curve and even in range mode it you know disconnects the rear motor runs front wheel drive for efficiency it's just like the most capable car you could ever imagine i really like it and even in range mode it gets up and goes pretty well look [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] and best part is guys we are now crossing into a d restricted section of autobahn so let's just kick it into smart plus really quick i've programmed this hotkey to turn off the electric sport sound and full power 110 130 150 160 180 200 oh it's so fast 220. look at this thing just motor 250 260 kilometers an hour blowing by these cars i love we'll move to germany right for a bit but no one's really behind us coming up on some more cars we're just uh gonna get into hamburg in no time mustang in germany very weird and using those carbon ceramic brakes to hold us down to a stop it is amazing how long it does take to stop at any car of course going 260 uh this car of course is heavy so it does take you really need to plan ahead you're going so fast that look these cars are doing 130 so vigilance is key but look the bmw is getting on it in front of us and welcome to germany this is the way it should be he's doing well over a hundred miles an hour now it's just a regular station wagon gotta love it [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] we have arrived just along the way to this fast charger what actually happened was the porsche wanted to stop about 20 kilometers back that way and i was like oh no we got plenty of juice there's another charger just up the way so i selected this one uh because the porsche shows you all the high power chargers in network and well i didn't realize it was on the other side of the road we were actually heading that way thankfully it's only a kilometer up this way but i don't know how far it is to the next exit it's probably not the most efficient charging stop it would have been better to stop at the one before but hey this is what happens when i think i know best so it says ultra fast charging station episec let's hit it with the porsche card it says it's processing it says ccs plug confirm says please connect the vehicle hey how about this love it again plug and charge is a thing on ionity but uh not here i don't believe and this car doesn't support it because it's a press car but that's uh you know just the case man i love the look of the cross turismo says please connect the cable to the vehicle uh i did come on will it work yes knows it's at 13 state of charge i hear the box clicking i honestly don't know how fast this unit is is it the 200 to 300 plus kilowatts it doesn't say nowhere does it say huh i've seen a couple of these where they don't brand the maximum charging rate but it seems to be good because it's doing more than 150 158 that's good we'll take it could be 150 kilowatt unit instead of a 300 but better than nothing let's uh let's see if it ramps up or if it's just gonna be sitting at 150 i'm fine either way did 222 kilometers and we averaged yeah thirsty but this is because we were ripping it going quickly of course we could be so much more efficient but i was driving in sport mode much of the time and uh yes absolutely shredding it and then we got stuck in some traffic so you know not the most efficient of drives but certainly a fun one over here yeah i think this is a 150 kilowatt charger let's see if the porsche knows what it is i don't know if it does or not let's take a look it says eon drive germany and yeah i think it's a 150 it says it right there but it's just on the other side it says one five yep so this is a 150 kilowatt so the porsche knows i don't but i could always check on plug share as well anyway we'll charge up here it wants to go to 95 percent i don't think so but you can see our problem here we have to go all the way back here because i'm an idiot and then all the way back up this way just because i selected this charger here on the map and i was like nope we're doing this one perhaps we should have gone up over to this one over here anyway let's see it looks like um our next charging stop we have this map totally upside down let's go north up if possible there we go it wants to go all the way up to bremen but uh look it does seem like there's a pretty big stretch no the fast chargers are there if we zoom in we'll find plenty along the way we'll probably stop one of these here we'll just charge up enough to get over there because we're only doing 150 kilowatts so i'll find some 350s for us to charge at we've just tapered off 150 kilowatts down to 102 which doesn't seem right it could be that the chargers overheating not really sure battery packs looking a little warm in the porsche 106 but it can still do 270 kilowatts at 106. not to say it can do 270 here at 58 but it can certainly do 150 plus um so not sure why we're tapering a little bit early here it says there's a faster route available i don't know we'll see uh let's hit the road there's plenty of chargers along the way you can see them all on the map here so we'll just unplug now we're not going to sit here doing 100 kilowatts and we will hit the road interestingly i checked plug share on this unit and it seems like we're the first people to activate this charger in a long time everyone says it doesn't work so not sure what's going on with that but to unlock it we just click this little button that will initiate the stop charging signal we just give it a second and then we can pull it out we'll throw this here does this say anything it says we added 40 kilowatt hours in 16 minutes charge ended by the vehicle that's correct there goes the power charge for it all by itself man does this thing just look good and right now it's jacked up in normal mode but when you slam it to the ground in low i think that's mega so let's hit the road we'll find charging along the way somewhere got to keep it out of spec style i think man let's just look at the back end of this again it's so cool to have a wagon electric car this is the jam [Music] [Applause] [Music] so [Music] so [Music] [Applause] [Music] and welcome here to our next charging point oh is this a good one this is a aural pulse never heard of it but i love these stations these things rock 300 kilowatts they work every time literally i've never had an issue with one of these stations and look at this there's a windshield washing station there's like stuff back here oh we'll clean the windshield for you guys and the reason we always have dirty windshields in our videos is just because um yeah there's never windshield washing station so let me find my little charging card here it is boop verifying id yes we want the kilowatt ccs thank you let's swipe on this thing there we go we'll take this man the ccs plugs in europe with these handles they're doing something right over here folks this just works and you don't even have the little latch just goes in it's so nice oh yes gotta love it ccs hyper charging these units really freaking rock it doesn't i haven't seen what uh brand they are i know someone commented on one of my twitter posts about them so it's doing its little handshake i hope it works never had watch it not work after i just praised it so much here we go come on click click click will it click it's not clicking oh no handshakes take a long time yeah there we go 688 volts packed it but it's dumping the current in look at this over 200 kilowatts instantly 230. oh what a charging machine 237 kilowatts absolutely rocking it guys check this charging station out not only is it super fast take a look here 250 plus kilowatts going into the car lovely it also has a windshield washing station so alyssa thank you for cleaning the windshield how are you enjoying the ticon it's beautiful beautiful yes i think it's a pretty spicy machine and another 300 kilowatts although it does seem like they have one post down the nice thing about these units is you can charge two cars at once it's 300 kilowatts if you plug in one car and then 150 if you plug in two honestly 150 is still pretty quick thanks you to alyssa for uh cleaning the windshield our viewers on youtube will appreciate that but man this is how you do it you put chargers in you put a windshield washing station and then it would be nice to have some sort of canopy but hey we can't find one that has it all we'll take what we can get so i have to say our consumption is not looking so hot on this trip we have just been pounding this thing and shredding it and honestly with charging this fast that's totally fine you can do that we're getting just over two miles per kilowatt hour but again bringing it up well over 240 to 50 kilometers per hour quite regularly and then going slow for the construction zones of course you don't when there's a speed limit you respect the speed limit in this country when there's no speed limit you absolutely shred gotta say the tycon's so stable it has all of our stuff in there we're loving it with the thermally and noise insulated glass on this car you hear nothing on the outside not a hint of wind noise you can't even hear trucks when you go by it's truly insanely cool i gotta say the carbon ceramic brakes have been working overtime slowing us down quickly they're amazing braking power seriously and good thermal longevity holding this thing down i mean if i lived in germany and i was getting a ticon i would 100 get the carbon ceramics because you use them on a daily basis to slow down in the u.s well if you're not taking your car to a track day not sure it's totally needed anyway loving the spec on this one loving our time here in germany so far and i believe we just have one more quick charge to get to hamburg so the bathroom is free which is a huge thing here uh so that's exciting but we're ready to go yeah well i basically you know there's one more charging stop that's in 130 kilometers we have 170 kilometers of projected range considering we've been ripping it uh we're down to 170 kilowatts i mean really tapered here so what do you say we head out and rip a little bit more alyssa you think that's a good plan yeah cool so yep says we need an eight-minute stop at the next one we've only been here for like i don't know 10 minutes something like this let's take a look as to the charging stats man these aural pulse looks good nice station good location literally right off the highway could does not get better than this haven't really seen many ionity stations out in the western part of germany although i'm pretty sure there are yeah 14 minutes we've been here we've added a whole renault zoe's worth of battery pack or basically a whole uh what did we have last time on the show we had a maca e so yep down to 160 kilowatts here at 70 state of charge still ripping great fat charge curve on this thing let's hit stop let's unplug the car let's let it unlock there we go into here 300 kilowatt thank you for having that branded charge port close charge port close close there we go and now we're heading off to the next one man i love road tripping this car [Music] that thing moves he's wide open in the m4 in front of us 240 kilometers an hour and i've hit my limit of 250 and he's just slowly walking away but we're doing 160 miles an hour look at that he's just inching forwards his limiter is just an inch higher than ours oh now he's really rocking we're just pegged at 260 k's hard on the brakes now he's indicating a pass we'll go for it here we go nice little hazards to say hey and he just flashed to say i'm heading out love it here and we have arrived to our charging station with 12 percent state of charge batteries really toasty i was driving in sport plus to try and cool it down but i noticed the fans weren't kicking on how they normally do so i'm going to leave the car in sport plus i've turned off climate control battery can certainly accept max charge rate it's just i will just turn it off it'll run into its own dc fast charging profile if it's turned off for cooling let's get this thing plugged in i'm not sure if this is a 300 kilowatt unit does it say anywhere no does it say anywhere over here no what come on how are we supposed to know i guess the only way to know is to plug in key card checking this one so you have to choose left or right so it's 150 kilowatt there it is oh well we'll take what we can get no problem this is the one the porsche selected honestly i've done zero planning i've just let the porsche tell us where it wants to plug in and then one time i obviously selected the station and was wrong so this car is doing a better job than i am in we go plugging in beautiful car beautiful station looks good now that it's in low suspension alyssa's just working on some videos for you guys and uh yeah you can see the thermally and noise insulated glass has this weird reflectivity especially in the camera so 150 kilowatts that's probably okay that the battery's a little warm then 270 would definitely heat it up while charging let's connect last time took what 45 seconds for the ccs protocols to work so now i don't know what it will take let's see ah a little bit quicker this time nice 150 kilowatts shot right up there fantastic well mcdonald's is here perfect uh place to eat had so many mcdonald's this trip because all the charging stations are at mcdonald's it's insane so i feel like i've gained at least 50 pounds here and uh yeah let's charge up figure out what we want to do well guys here's the deal and i don't think it's gonna work out exactly as we had hoped we were planning on taking because we can't take this porsche into norway a company called ufo drive or ufo drive they rent teslas in uh the european area so you can go in literally remote access the car rent it and go they were gonna let us borrow one of their teslas and take it around i thought great we'll get some tesla content we'll feature the supercharger network we'll show how you can rent a car using their thing it wasn't gonna be a sponsored paid thing at all they were just like take the car and bring it back when you're done and pile the miles on it we're like great sounds good unfortunately um we had called them and they said that it's possible to book a car in hamburg but now it's it's not possible it's not their fault we did this very last minute i guess one had to go to the workshop the others all got booked up if i had planned this one day earlier it would have been fine so we that's the reason for coming up here to hamburg we just got the call we're about 30 kilometers outside of hamburg and we are no longer able to pick up this tesla so let's reevaluate uh you're dealing with this with us real time uh and it's all first world problems these are all great problems to have there's some amazing test cars i wanted to get to in norway such as x-pang p7 byd tang as well as uh neo es8 so this is this was going to be my opportunity to drive some of the chinese evs that i've yet to experience that doesn't mean that still can't happen we can get up to uh gothenburg for example we can go visit the volvo stuff perhaps maybe swing by the factory a museum and we can rent a car and we can drive it to oslo and maybe we can still put all this together but at least we're not going to be able to take the porsche up this way to complete this area of the trip um we'll have to see we'll have to see what happens right now i think what we're going to do is just blast past the city that we're in now trying to remember what it's called hey alyssa what city are we in now again the the one we were heading to hamburg ah why did i forget this let's blast past hamburg let's rip it up into denmark we have to go through covid checks up there of course we have all of our documentation everything we've needed but maybe less of a line if we get across the border late at night and then we'll get a hotel somewhere on the way to copenhagen now we're already up in sort of this northeastern part of the entrance where we want to be to get into sweden we can hang around there and then we'll figure out a way to get into norway perhaps if not we'll do a copenhagen to gothenburg to stockholm and back little loop in the taikon and we'll experience a nordic country uh with this car which doesn't suck at all so all first world problems all really good and it's nice that we have an open schedule because the last few weeks have just been filming filming filming sun up to way past sundown and now it's a little bit more relaxed and we get to film my favorite uh channel film for my favorite channel out of spec motoring you guys know i love to do eevee road trips and adventures and that's exactly what we're doing here so let's charge this thing up pretty high because we have to do a lot of logging of where we want to go there's a 24-hour market just over here maybe we'll get some snacks for the road but i say let's skip hamburg and head north this thing is a charging monster it was literally sitting at 150 kilowatts right up into this point let's take a look here yeah batteries doing fine just sitting there in sport plus if you charge the car keeps itself cool what we want to do now is of course skip hamburg so let's go search let's type in copenhagen never been there never been north of hamburg before so i'm very much looking forward to doing some exploring in places i haven't been never been to denmark the route is being calculated awesome so we'll just go to the center of copenhagen [Music] the root contains furry connections oh the root contains a ferry there is a way to do this with contains fairy connections the root contains a ferry i understand there is a way to do this without a ferry and so let's see range we don't need any of this let's see auto zoom how do we say routes options alternative routes that's a nice thing for sure so what i was thinking was rather than doing the whole ferry situation we would just drive up and over and let's see it says no alternative routes well at least apple maps oh here it's thinking now it's doing charging calculation and thinking i may have confused it by touching something the route was changed fast charging stops were added let's see drive mode range mode this is the way we want to go so just because we're in sport plus i think is messing things up and thinks we want to drive how we have been driving which is true but once we pass the border here no more unlimited speed limits so this is the route we want this is the seven minutes longer drive mode range and we can just charge up a little bit more but that's what we want to do says two charging stops we won't do that we'll rip charge rip charge up until we cross the border so that's the way and man i am so impressed with the nav system on this thing it's good really is good and uh and it works and it puts chargers in like no other ev can do this obviously tesla i think is still better and easier and more intuitive but for a non-tesla ev damn this is awesome well we've been here for a little while kind of contemplating what we want to do we are definitely in the mood to head north we've been here 31 minutes this is the ticon for you even at a 150 kilowatt charger which far under cuts what the car can really do we've gained 67 kilowatt hours in 31 minutes that's because it was basically just pegged at 148 kilowatts the whole way man what a road tripper big speeds big charging of course as we slow down we're more efficient it means maybe a little bit less charging but as long as you have access to 350 kilowatt chargers or 300 kilowatt chargers that can max out the tycon honestly you just kind of drive as fast as you want you can always charge it up so quickly and literally ten minutes zero to fifty percent on this car just stupid so let's head out on the way north we don't know what we're doing but we're gonna have a good time and tomorrow should be quite interesting so [Music] so [Music] [Music] we are doing 240 kilometers an hour behind an s-class just someone on their way to i don't know where they're going but they're just cruising into the s-class can we get a pass in we're at wide open throttle can we pass the s-class in time they're hard on the brakes we're at the speed limiter there they go and we have arrived at an ionity station literally just off the highway at a rest stop i absolutely love these they take zero time out of the trip you can just charge and rip well me definitely overcharged at the last station and i tried to see if we could push it a little bit farther for the next but unfortunately it was not possible just due to the distances between chargers and the amount of unrestricted autobahn we were riding we were just ripping with that mercedes s-class over there let's hit start let's tap the app thing great activating while it's doing that we'll plug in the car uh again this car does support plug-in charge just not this particular vehicle because it's owned by porsche it's not linked to a personal account but if someone owned this car they would be able just to arrive plug in and that's it works perfectly on ionity and i've even seen this during my trip it's been really great to see tycon plug and charge so here we are loading in we have one two three four ionity stations that's pretty typical only four of them but uh you can see they've left room for expansion so as i guess utilization goes up it wouldn't be too expensive anymore for the installation cost just the unit themselves i think that's a smart way of doing it and uh yeah man this ticon is so comfortable just sitting at 250 260 kilometers an hour we were running with that s-class right at top speed and i could definitely tell this thing was a little bit more buttoned down than his car and we had way more braking than he did so absolutely awesome having a good time and there's two eon stations over there looking like the abb units on that side and uh overall at night the rest stops are pretty quiet here you can see a couple van lifers like we have our sprinter that's pretty popular in europe over here of course as well gotta love that and here we are just starting to charge let's take a look as to how this is going it says status 115 and the car shows red well i would say it's not going so hot is it what come on car all right let's unlock the charger lights on it should let it go come on release thank you let's try the other charger i guess we will try this one start thank you app boom we'll wait till it says authorized says it's good now i can plug it in will the cable reach let's find out we're going behind hey alyssa would you mind opening up this charge port for me just clicking that right button ah the screen just went black no worries everything's against us right now we'll do it this way here we go here we go in we go got the connector in there definitely kind of a weird way of running it but there is some slack on these actually take a look here you can kind of pull them like this that's nice so let's see cable cooling is running i can feel it vibrating it's not charging yet though let's see this is why it's always great to choose stations that have more than one unit when we roll up to these units even though they're 150 kilowatt 300 kilowatt whatever they are but when there's just one oh i get a little bit not necessarily nervous but i'm like here we go because it's not like we can move to another one let's see if this will work it says please wait i believe on the ionity station thankfully there's the eon stations over here if for whatever reason this one doesn't work we have enough dc chargers oh yes here we go 19 state of charge ramping up here man just cruising its way up blowing past 150 kilowatts thinking years ago 150 used to just be the most insane figure look at this thing now we're at 243 kilowatts i love that the ionity stations give us all this information pack voltage and amperage just amazing look at this 257 kilowatts peaking up there delivered that was probably because the ac compressor just kicked on and had to deliver the extra cranking amps which the charger can do if the car requests it man what a charging monster this thing is drive as fast as you want and charge literally faster than almost anything on the road today i would say 270 kilowatts currently the fastest charging production ev however with lucid coming yeah i think that's going to take the lead we'll see though they're not on the market as of the filming of this video they're close though and there you have it with charging right off highway side like we have here men you can just go as literally as fast as you want rip the charge gotta love it really good station really good car perfect temperature outside too it's in the low 60s it's quite chilly perfect for keeping the battery nice and cool for these long stretches at wide open throttle alyssa's been shredding on the edits to get videos up for you guys we've shot so many videos that some of it's going to be a little bit out of order of course it might be a little bit awkward because we want to prioritize the hot videos first like kia ev6 ionic 5 these other videos these things but for the most part we are we're just rocking filming cool evs having a good time here in europe and i really am truly loving this tycon cross turismo i mean no other car can like charge as fast as this drive as fast as this but then drive around town so comfortably so silently not even hinting at the performance underneath it's very impressive look at this thing it's still doing 250 kilowatts even at 48 holy smokes just shredding let's see how it does now normally when i do my dc fast charging tests and i go zero to 100 percent one of the problems with this test and i always say it's a baseline test is charging this fast for that long actually overheats the car uh in some cases but now that i've kind of figured out how to manage the ticon pulling in here look at this still 50 250 uh there it's tapering there's the taper point 50 boom but not by much not by much at all um yeah man when you pull in at like 15 20 because the thermals last a little longer and i also drive maybe a little bit easier as i'm a few kilometers away from the charging station just to try and give the fans and everything a chance to cool it down before a fast charging session this might be the perfect strategy still 228 kilowatts at 52 holy smokes absolutely loving it really impressive let's charge up until it tapers a little bit harder and then we'll hit the road there's so many chargers on this stretch we'll just leave as soon as we're under i don't know 100 200 kilowatts does that make sense that seems crazy to say but maybe that's what we'll do there we are 202 kilowatts let's charge up to uh yeah just until it falls a bit more and then we'll head out well we have really tapered here 180 kilowatts that's just unacceptable let's unplug what a crazy world we're living in here cable cooling still going i've hit unlock cable cooling still going there we go thank you very much um cable cooling on these ionity units ripped these things shake like crazy more so than some of the other units i've noticed but crazy no fans here just amazing charge port is stuck charge port is stuck there we go gotta do that and then we can tell it to close itself this happened a lot in cold weather on our cannonball with the tycon 4s i actually recommend not getting the power charge port on a titan and i'll take two seconds of time to explain why the motors and everything are back here so you actually lose your air scarfs and so not only is this more complicated things going on but you also lose aerodynamic airflow and brake cooling so porsche recommends to not get the power charge port if you track your tycon however the turbo s version the one up from this comes standard with them which is the one you want to track that doesn't make any sense from an ordering perspective but i kind of get what they're going for and so with my tycon i can't afford a turbo s i would just get non-power charge ports anyway off we go then back to unrestricted autobahn at 260 kilometers per hour what a world guys while pulling out of the fast charger the battery was really toasty and now we're back on de-restricted autobahn look at this we're getting a huge power cut because the thermal the battery pack's just getting close to the red so this is wide open throttle it's limiting our top speed there you can see this little gray bar shows very little available power and well maybe the car just needs a little bit of a cool down so it's definitely possible to overheat the ticon um you know of course any car like we're already getting a little bit of power reserve let's just test the thermal limits back to full power it's pulling hard here 170 180 definitely slower than normal we're hitting the thermal limit of something i don't know if it's the battery pack of the motors 200. look it's really cutting the power now my foot's welded to the floor i have it in sport plus which should enable most cooling i think what i'll do is turn off climate control here so it can divert most of the ac compressors work to the battery pack not sure if that will help but this would be the case with any ev of course i don't think there's an ev on sale that would not eventually overheat after a hard blast after a long dc fast charge at 200 plus kilowatts uh but it's just interesting to see the limits in this car and the limits are really high look we're still doing 220 kilowatt kilometers an hour no problem so that's something you really won't run into in the real world unless you drive like a crazy person but look we're just cruising along no problem i say uh i'm gonna slow it down a little bit let it thermally recover from this and then then we'll get back to blasting [Music] [Music] [Music] and after a totally flat out stretch really not much distance just because of the way the chargers were spaced and heading into denmark let's see did we do uh yeah only 70 kilometers and we averaged one mile per kilowatt hour so just shredded this thing of course that's maybe a bit too inefficient i've opened up the charging port here anyway we're just having fun we're in no particular rush i think definitely was overheating the car quite a bit through there it was thermal throttling even up towards the end you know you have to imagine when the pack voltage gets low as it loses state of charge the car has to compensate for power by dumping more current and then at lower voltage with more current means that you're heating things up again i squared r so this is a good representation of high state of charge ripping in the ticon it can handle track work as long as you're above 50 state of charge it seems to be no problem as soon as you dip low and it has to start ripping uh you know fans and all this stuff it does produce a lot of heat loss let's take a look as to the connection time where another one of these arrow stations i really like these arral i don't know how to say it anyway windshield washing stations will 100 clean the windshield i'm sure the video is nasty look at this that's what happens when you kill bugs fast so let's take a look at our charging power will we get max speed even with a battery hot oh yes that's the crazy part of this car air conditioning compressor is rocking on the tycon right now fans are blasting 240 kilowatts at 16 state of charge that seems to be the sweet spot right there 250 kilowatts and climbing amazing pretty cool i have the climate control off in the vehicle but the vehicle is in sport plus that has the coldest temperature targets for the battery pack uh and it will also allow for extra cooling uh which is very much needed so i'm gonna get to work to cleaning the windshield probably about the time time i'm done doing that this thing will already be ready to go to the next one pretty awesome and there you have it a perfectly clean windshield some well maybe not perfectly clean but pretty close something you never see on out of spec motoring but hey it was so bad i knew everyone was going to complain still doing 260 kilowatts even pulling in with a hot battery holy smokes this thing's incredible really is i thought it would have thermal throttled by now that's incredible four minutes in we've already gained almost 16 kilowatt hours we're at 33 percent well with getting this much power there's no reason to leave we'll leave once it tapers but for the most part if we're getting good charging speeds let's just take the juice we are really stressing the thermals of tycon 158 kilowatt at 57 the normally the car can do more than this but you can see here the battery pack temperature is at 134 and the turtle's on i have the car again in sport plus um which should allow for max cooling i can hear the fans ripping but crazy that even with that temperature this thing's doing 159 kilowatts holy smokes so we're definitely stressing the thermals here i mean we're pushing the car hard ripping at max speed charging at max speed definitely overheating it a little bit however i've just selected an ionity station that i don't think is here on the map let's see if we can find it we're gonna go let's see up it's right around here and it's right off the highway anyway it's only it's a 350 kilowatt ionity station this would be north up if i do it like this so i'll try and find it i'll put it in the nav here this way it can try and precondition and of course by that point the battery will be much colder because we can't go max speed once we cross the border so i've programmed in that ionity station it says will arrive with 15 state of charge crazy to me it just looks so far away but it's only 139 kilometers well alyssa's not even here so we can't go we may as well keep charging up and getting the juice can't believe it's just sitting at 160 kilowatts maintaining peak battery temperature incredible tuning here i have to say given the thermals of this car so um yeah as soon as we find alyssa as soon as we get out of here we are good to go but doesn't hurt to charge up it's not like we're charging that slowly at 160 kilowatts we'll see what we leave with alyssa would you mind stopping our charge click the little button there should cut off charging let me uh let's see what's going on should release here in a second yep try pulling it out now there you go it says one active let's just take a look at this so it says uh ah too late i wanted to get our stats never mind no don all good all right off we go then you wanna drive not at night okay [Music] hmm [Music] so [Music] look at this this is awesome so each the way it works in europe is sometimes they'll just say there's no more restricted speed limit and so what it says is in the city it's 50 kilometers per hour for b roads it's 80 and for highways it's 130. um this is different than germany where b roads are 100 so it's nice that every time you cross a border i guess in the porsche it tells you what the speed limits are how useful is this so we need to remember for on a b road we go 80 instead of 100 and then when it says no speed limit on the highway we go 130 but here for example it says 110 so we need to slow down to 110 we'll go like 115 secretly you don't tell on us and we'll cruise along nice cruising along here on these danish highways well you can tell they're not as well paved as the german autobahns and speed limits 130 kilometers per hour which is disappointing i have to say but alyssa will attest we went as fast as we could every way we possibly could that is very true yeah and were you annoyed by this um a little bit a little bit what what was annoying about going fast um it made my stomach feel bad oh but the car's so smooth at high speed not when you're accelerating and then going on brakes and then accelerating and then going on brakes yeah well that's also what heats everything up so anyway this is the route we went in so we're just heading north out of germany we are now in denmark and uh yeah new country neither of us have been to denmark before never done any of the nordic countries actually so really looking forward to this i've done a lot of mainland europe but uh this is gonna be an awesome experience and uh yeah it just feels like we're cruising along at a snail's pace it really does so let's head over to this ionity charging station it shows a 14 arrival my guess is we'll be there much higher state of charge but according to the car we're right at the end of our range bubble but our guesso meter range keeps increasing as we drive along at normal speeds [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] and we have arrived with plenty of juice 21 the battery is cool at 95 degrees let's turn it off and get it charging on this ionity station again another ionity station where they've built out extra capacity for when it's needed the next story will be of course we're road tripping through the middle of the night no one's here wonder how many cars use it during the middle of the day we'll have to see so let me find my porsche charging card at a really nice circle k finally i feel like we're bjorn style charging at a circle k so it says we've we're good to go we can take the connector whoops we got a swipe to open the charge port boom not working it's not recognizing my swipe hey alyssa could you open the charge port please so there's a shorthand command inside that she can do maybe it's because it's wet outside yep the one on the right there you go thank you great and there's two charge ports again on this car this side does dc the other side only does ac this does acn dc and this one has the 22 kilowatt charger nice so letting it juice up here i'm sure it's cold outside it i mean it's getting cold i'm sure we'll get 270 kilowatts or close to 260 something like this we'll see i out of these stations looking good at night though gotta love it and here we are ramping up climbing north of 200 kilowatts instantly oh i love it gotta love that that's sweet we'll let this thing charge up a bit we'll find a hotel hopefully nearby and always a good idea to charge up at night on a road trip by the way uh once you're done driving because the battery's warm and can accept the most amount of power especially when temperatures start getting cold like they are now in the high 40s low 50s at night something like this means the battery packs get cold so if you were to wake up and then charge your car well battery's going to be cold and it's going to charge really slow so we'll take advantage of the fast charging with a warm battery of course the ideal situation is to find a slow charger at a hotel um but honestly this is going to be like our second hotel in europe this trip we've honestly had an apartment in munich for the last little while so i'm unsure as to if destination charging is that popular in the u.s i know i can pretty much find hotels with charging wherever i go um but not sure around here also not sure about the cards to activate let's just get it charging here and then we'll figure out where we're gonna stay for the night i just booked a hotel called the cromwell hotel it's right off the highway it looks pretty nice it was actually the last room we were like selecting hotels and then as soon as it ticked over past midnight uh they all went away and we were like oh maybe in europe you can't book hotels that like in the u.s that's fine um so there was one left and it turned out it worked well and they i just checked plug share it says they have a couple type two charging plugs so let's uh unplug we're at 70 state of charge if they don't have any big deal we'll just charge up tomorrow if they have it well we'll just full charge this baby tonight so let's uh unplug head out of here not a great charging session it ran pretty good speeds 240 kilowatts but tapered early battery temperature wasn't even hot at all it was like 105 degrees so not sure what's going on there could be a station limitation could be a charge port thing not sure doesn't matter it's late let's get to our hotel let's see if we can plug in pulling into the hotel here i know it's the correct one because there's a ton of tesla superchargers and it also says hotel also like let's just go up here really quick cool yeah there's the type 2 connectors there's a model y which i think is a big deal here in europe and uh yeah is it a version 3 supercharger it doesn't appear to be it says charging max 40 minutes but we can use these uh level twos over here so now where's the hotel it's the big hotel that says how it's doing like an event here it says something stiga i honestly don't know what that i don't know but it's the cromwell hotel a big little hotel cool we'll run over there we'll get the suitcases unloaded you can go inside and i'll go plug this thing into that type 2 connector it'll be full charge in the morning well it's a little bit dark but you joined me at this very nice commonwealth hotel here in somewhere denmark and a middle fart i thought it was a funny name anyway they let us book and pay and everything like this but unfortunately no rooms available and no rooms available at their sister hotel and no rooms available anywhere else in the immediate vicinity so we're going to jump back in the ticon and hit the road continue heading up towards or i should say over towards copenhagen maybe we'll just keep searching for hotels along the way this is what i love always an adventure always something new who knows if i'll ever get my refund but we have to continue [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] well we were driving down the road and we thought we found a hotel that we could stay in in this little town right off the highway and well same situation no rooms available unfortunately what we're doing now is we've come to this ionity station we literally were just driving by it's 1 15 in the morning and we're gonna see if we can find a hotel here it's possible we might have to just stretch it over to copenhagen make a long night we're only an hour and a half away it's no problem uh we'll just do a super late check-in i'm sure that's a great backup option because seemingly throughout the year there's almost nothing we're over here at a circle k that's closed it's a sleepy part of denmark maybe uh maybe people up north go to sleep pretty early i'm not sure what's going on but definitely a totally different vibe than germany and uh really enjoying it everyone's super nice everyone speaks perfect english by the way all the hotels we just walk in they don't even speak a different language they're just like hey how's it going we're like oh do we look that foreign anyway let's uh let's get this thing charging up it already is what are we doing in terms of speeds it's ramping up over 150 kilowatts right now and uh yeah let's see if we can find a hotel well it's gonna be another late night but time to unplug we are now at 95 percent state of charge it literally took that entire amount of time about 30 minutes to find a hotel and turns out the nearest available that we can find at least is just outside of copenhagen a place called a hotels looks nice not complaining really nice hotel actually and they were like yeah come on over free parking the whole bit no ev charging but that's okay we're charged up to 95 we should get there it's an hour and 15 minutes away with about um 50 state of charge so what do you say we just get in the car rip over there get to bed i'm pretty tired it's two o'clock in the morning we're gonna get there at 3 15 in the morning crazy i just can't believe this whole like stretch of um denmark has no hotels or like everyone's just taken all of them anyway seems like a good business opportunity if anyone wants to go in on a hotel chain with me around here let me know [Music] [Applause] foreign [Music] so [Music] and we have arrived to our hotel these things look pretty cool nice we are going to get our room get to sleep get our stuff out of the car and head to bed and good morning from our hotel in copenhagen you can see they do this weird twin bed thing here in europe and then smush them together to make one bed it doesn't make any sense to me alyssa don't you think it's less comfortable this way i don't really see a difference but i really enjoy having two separate uh covers really well that's the part i don't like and yeah i enjoy that because you always take them for me in the morning okay well it looks like we have some issues to work out anyway purple shades in here living the dream uh really cool hotel actually eight hotels here just west of copenhagen let us check in at 3 15 in the morning nice people it's currently about 10 30 a.m we slept in obviously getting here late but we have our site set to go to copenhagen maybe we'll get a little coffee there a little breakfast something and then we're going to gothenburg which is a city i've wanted to go to for the longest time so let's head there and honestly i don't know what our plans are for the rest of the trip we might take a train to norway and rent a car in oslo and do the whole norway thing um or or maybe we could grab a press car there i don't know all of our loans we actually have scheduled for later this week for vehicle testing who knows if those can even come through at this point just because of timing and scheduling um the other option is to go to lapland which is in between sweden and finland and see some northern lights so we don't know what we're gonna do and it doesn't matter just living the dream we'll just keep moving there she is it's windy and gray outside i think that's typically the case for around here and uh really good stay here at this hotel i think we're like the last ones to leave let's load everything up [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] and welcome here to downtown copenhagen behind me is almost a line full of electric cars genuinely have never seen so many evs in one place on the outskirts zero we did see a couple ticons on the way in and they were all checking out the cross turismo because it's brand new at the time we record this however uh downtown all the rental car companies sixth avis etc all use evs so there's like a row of like 20 leafs all the way down this road which is insane uh sixth uses model s model x and like a hundred renault zoes uh model threes of course insane how many there are the taxis here are mostly electric we saw a ton of eqc taxis id4 taxis perfect and then there's dc chargers like this one all the way over here that's only for taxi use we've been you know the porsche says hey there's chargers everywhere but the marks are meant for taxi so we decided let's just walk around we have 60 state of charge nearly we don't actually need to charge we'll just charge outside of the city i'm sure there's more people in the city that need to charge than uh than we do so we decided just to grab a normal parking space we'll go walk around a little bit and then we'll charge once we hit the road heading out uh once we run out i mean 60 this thing will go forever so especially at the low speeds these nordics drive compared to the germans so alyssa's just hopping out now we're gonna do a little bit of exploring around copenhagen gray day very gray but i think that's par for the course up here doing a little walking around but i feel we're in sort of the modern district of the city over here looks a little bit older alyssa's navigating us somewhere to see the true old copenhagen check this out this is what i imagine when i think of copenhagen pretty cool to be here bicycles everywhere electric cars everywhere really almost no traffic considering it's what tuesday morning alyssa oh yeah yeah that's weird it's like commuting times unless everyone's on vacation still um awesome only 600 000 people live in copenhagen apparently which is like twice the size of the town we live in in fort collins that we consider to be barely even the city so welcome to europe nowhere near as population dense as like new york city or toronto but that's uh that's great really awesome architecture and volkswagen ups everywhere love those we had a nice time exploring around copenhagen check out this awesome defender it's got camel trophy stickers all over it that thing is rad the eqc back here has finished charging it's off the charger i really like how this works and now we're just going by the endless row of nissan leafs um pretty funny pretty interesting what uh what do you think of copenhagen um i'm sure it's very nice but the weather is not well it's nice weather it's just cloudy right right but did you enjoy the city yeah for the most part i want to go see the colorful buildings though okay so i think we're going to take a little detour because um a viewer of our channel also manages the pole star space here in town and well we should probably go take a look at that don't you think got an invite to go look at some cars let's go do this we'll take the ticon it's parked just over here and then we have to go to gothenburg because we have a bus to catch again if you didn't catch the beginning we can't take this porsche into norway because it's outside of the eu and it's a porsche corporate vehicle and there's like tax restrictions there so we're gonna leave the porsche at the bus station in gothenburg take a bus to norway is what we've decided and there we have lined up a pretty special card to go on a norwegian adventure hey we're over at the pole star space and uh we are charging up the cross turismo so nice of polestar to invite us over to plug in the car move their pole star and now we're going to be shuttling back in the pole star 2 here over to the pole star space in copenhagen we are in one hell of a garage s classes svjs this really freaking cool thing just amazing but of course the suzuki or seattle me sorry it's a say at me right and this is similar to a volkswagen up that's what i like not the svg and welcome here to the pole star space in copenhagen wow that's a big sign here's that black pulse star that we drove over on absolutely crazy let's run inside the showroom take a look here we go inside of here of course you can see some uh pole star precept uh signs here you can see all of the colors there's alyssa of course this is you know the sea of gray as i like to call it i'm really hoping pole star comes out with some more exciting colors but i have to say all of these are great colors for me personally thunder is the way to go with the tan napa seats with the gold seat belts of course because performance pack this is how i would do my specification which i've actually thought about ordering one of these and so hopefully once the charging curve improves this would be a really nice colorado car of course this one's a performance pack so 400 horsepower it's 78 kilowatt hour battery pack uh let's see inside awesome car black seats on the inside here shifter google interface which is wonderful you have pole star pilot assist so it can do lane centering awesome car looks so good around here of course we don't have this in the us but this is type 2 ccs we have type 1 which is the circle on top and overall i want to say a big thank you to polestar here for inviting us over to take a look for charging up our ticon in the garage they were so nice so wonderful and if you're interested in a pole star and live in this area please come on over here and check this out because what a cool experience they have a whole bunch of test drive cars and charging you won't miss it my friend morton who runs the polestar space over here take a look at this this is his model 3 standard plus he has a youtube channel goes on road trips i'll link in the description below this is who invited us over out of spec track logo baby that's what i call representing gotta love it thank you to martin over here for inviting us and thank you to him for being a great supporter of out of spec and now he runs the pole star space here in copenhagen although i think he's got to upgrade his model 3 to a pole star 2 performance we'll see we'll work on them maybe a pole star one well an amazing time uh going to the pole star space we had a great tour right got driven around the city showing us everything we should see and now i think we need to head towards gothenburg so what do you say long stretch to sweden it's about four hours we're at 63 state of charge we'll probably charge [Music] [Music] do [Music] [Music] well we pulled over here off the highway just quickly because alyssa was exporting a video and the laptop was about to die and well i guess we have lost our 12 volt to power outlet converter which means i don't think we're gonna be able to get a video out and uploaded for today oh sorry guys we try to do daily uploads on out of spec reviews but of course sometimes it's just not possible and we've been again normally we try to get these out the night before but again got to our hotel at three o'clock in the morning so yeah i guess not the end of the world there will be always more videos coming just uh kind of a bummer really wanted to get a video out today i don't know if we have any option there's no wall outlet here anyway when we just pulled off the highway we pulled in here and i found a charger so i literally jumped out the car slapped the rfid plugged it in started charging at about 45 kilowatts it's a 50 kilowatt unit and then we started tearing into the suitcases to try to find our adapter and yeah just couldn't find it so we won't charge here much longer just total opportunity charging it was available we pulled in let's uh unplug super bummer that we can't get a video out today on how to spec reviews but uh happens we'll try to try to charge it up tonight seeing uh we don't really know our plans yet but we'll try and get one out for sure all right cool anyway let's uh let's head back out on the road we're gonna charge on the way to gothenburg and then uh we'll be in the city for a little while well in the time it took us to sort that out well we just gained 3.7 kilowatt hours and uh sure we'll take it we didn't need the charge but nice that we did kind of weird they always make you tap the cards to end charging i guess that makes sense since what am i trying to say sense because um obviously you don't want to just have people walk by and stop charging but i'm pretty sure anyone could just walk by and at least cut the connection by hitting this button may not necessarily be able to unplug the connection though without the car being unlocked so release thank you love these old 50 kilowatt units eon these things abb units i think they are anyway that'll close on its own we're gonna try and get a video out although i don't think it's gonna make it it'll die we have it plugged into one of the car's usbc power ports but it's not a 100 watt unit that can charge up the laptop unfortunately all right let's hit the road [Music] [Music] [Music] and we have arrived at the ionity station with four percent plenty uh the porsche actually was like freaking out there's like no way you can make it there i was like you're being conservative so i slowed it down and then once i realized oh there's another little 50 kilowatt station that i could make it we just absolutely uh shredded it once we could get it done let's find the little charging card alyssa would you mind opening up the charging port for me the right side please thank you very much yep here we go start the ionity tap and of course now we can max out at 270 kilowatt charging battery temps perfect state of charge is flat so we should be just fine to go and uh yeah let's rock and roll and we've plugged in the cross turismo look at this amazing car just shoots right up over 250 kilowatts we've only been here two minutes and we've already added almost five kilowatt hours to the battery pack just insane alyssa's run to the restroom by the time she's done we'll be ready to hit the road again and uh really really enjoying this car a little charging update already at 265 kilowatts look at this thing 264. six minutes we've added 20 kilowatt hours totally insane how fast it charges um i'm just so so impressed with this ticon it really is one of the most ultimate ev road trippers so comfortable so easy and when we put it in range mode it just never wanted to die the car said we'd get here at like minus five percent we showed up with four just because i dropped it a couple miles an hour insane maxing this thing out here 270 kilowatts at this ionity station on the western edge of sweden absolutely love it we've met friends here with the polestar 2 with the mustang maki and we're all just just blown away by the charging on the taikon we're just like how is this even possible alyssa doing some rearranging here in the back pole star 2 looks great of course tycon looking amazing and charging like a monster well we've decided to head out now and we are at 72 state of charge in 18 minutes that's stupidly good that has got to be one of the best charging sessions i've ever experienced during ev road tripping have to say so let's let this charging uh plug unlock we'll put it away here and one thing i thought was pretty funny was we had a full ionity station but the supercharger over there only has one tesla not sure what's going on there all right let's head off to gothenburg [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] and welcome to gothenburg absolutely cool here we parked the car getting some food and then we have a bus to catch in about 45 minutes all right we gotta eat quick because we gotta make our bus but this thai food looks awesome also really cool building underneath the city inside the bus terminal oslo 33 off we go left the porsche in the parking lot out there in the end spot it's the first time i've ever taken a bus somewhere i think since like elementary school feels weird doesn't it there's no trains really you have to take the bus there's our bus oh thing looks sick it's an s53 one dt looks good 33. that's us i don't know what to do it's etcetra [Music] yep it's like a plane it's sick [Music] so [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] we're being pulled off the bus for some covid checks should be pretty interesting to see what happens there's the bus at the checkpoint [Music] [Music] and there you have it we have arrived in oslo and yes that's a tesla model y behind us let me explain let's talk about what we did yesterday of course you saw we dropped the car in gothenburg we had a great thai food lunch it's actually the last time we've eaten and then we got on this bus and we went up into norway this bus by the way incredible so beautiful the views the seats were amazing i thought oh we're gonna take a bus people are gonna be like smoking and like i don't know it's just gonna be nasty no this was like first class airliner so comfortable i edited the whole time we got stopped at norwegian border control we all had to exit the bus and like line up on the side of it it was so funny and turns out that the border patrol officer is a fan he loves evs he loves watching videos on youtube and he's just and it was so funny and he was like how's zach and jesse i'm like oh our friend zach and jesse are great and they love the uh love their channel everything like this so it's just welcome to norway of course the guy checking you in his electric vehicle enthusiast we stayed at a really cool downtown modern hotel last night really awesome then we took a taxi over here to lilly strom i think is how you say it because we met with our new friend marcus and marcus owns a company called marcus beale and if you watch chris rita or bjorn on youtube you'll know they test tesla's from marcus beale he's sort of a tesla reseller and rental company and this is a brand new tesla model y made in china with eight kilometers on the odometer we literally are here at the tesla delivery center he said hey i'm coming over here to take a car why don't you just meet me here and take the brand new one on your road trip for norway put as many miles as you can on it so i was like great let's do that here's the tesla model y long range dual motor built in china that you'll be seeing in the next episode sorry to leave you on that cliffhanger we're here in beautiful norway wow the scenery is amazing look at all these homes on this hill behind me it really doesn't get better electric cars everywhere this next episode is going to be epic so stay tuned
