Is βGreatβ the next level after βInsanely Good?β
This car looks amazing and I'm excited about it...just a bummer that you won't find it at the prices listed. At least a $3k-$5k markup for sure.

The new Kia and Hyundai EVs look to be really good cars
Whoβs pumped for this car? So many tests we have to do once we can get our hands on it for an extended period of time. Itβll be sold in ZEV states and about 8 others at launch but then expanding to sales in all 50 states once supply can catch up with demand. I think the supply with be this carβs biggest issue! Good luck getting one as Iβm sure everyone will be lined up for these.
Nitpicks:
Seems like thermal throttling is still a bit of an issue especially when you drive the car hard or over long distances. Here, Kyle says the charge rate started at around 220kW (near 0% SoC) then dropped hard due to hitting a thermal limit, and that was with the cabin AC off. To be fair, he was shredding it during the drive before charging. A bit disappointing to hear but probably won't affect normal, everyday driving.
Phantom braking on highway assist in broad daylight. Looks like a one-off though as the rest of the drive on HDA2 was uneventful.
All in all, those are the only 2 complaints I could see throughout the video. Looks really cool!
He's a bit too verbose for my taste. I got like 10 minutes in and realized he was just going to keep rambling.
I'm quite excited to see the Ioniq 5 finally coming to the US, though! Especially with those prices.
I love how accurate and detailed your driving performance and NVH reviews are. Makes me feel like Im there driving the thing
It sure has some great futures and lots of things that are just right. That little warning when you're looking at the features inside and the car up front drives away is something I haven't seen in any other vehicle. While many have the sensors.
I also love the design and can't stand that of the kia EV6. Likely that most either like one of the two.
I didn't find many downsides when test riding. The trunk is rather small. Some of the riding aids stop working from time to time with a message that this service is temporarily unavailable. And the consumption is rather high. But if you don't want a Tesla design that is what you'll get in return. Plus it charges fast in the right conditions.
The reason I didn't sign for one yet is that I didn't experience a sporty ride nor good road feel. Don't get me wrong it was comfortable and can go fast. But the VW ID.3 for example had sportier suspension and steering. That one lacks other things though. So I'll be looking at some true electric sports cars first.
