Blast From The Past! FUN At The Auction

it is auction day here at the channel an afternoon weekday auction glad that i'm able to go to this if i was still at my corporate job i would have had to have taken off bring my work cell phone with me to still answer email but i don't have to do that because i'm on my own work time so hopefully we will be the winning bitter on some treasure it's been a while since i've won stuff at an auction what's the last auction i went to you can check that out in my playlist i'm sure it's in there but anyway auction day let's see what vintage treasures are available and hope that we are the winning bidder yeah right oh funny there's some old doors i just want to go on the swings that's what i want to do like forget about going to the auction i just want to go to the swings this is where they do grilling i guess this is a nice setting it's not a park it's a grill ooh versed in marshmallows a clam bar i'm not a fan of clams what the heck is that is that for like drinks i'm supposed to be here for an auction and i'm exploring everything else what is that oh it is for alcoholic beverages huh that's fun i can go for a beer mojito [Music] moscow mule that's what i want moscow [Music] uh a couple yeah [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] okay oh that's really fun united mind workers in america that's wait for cool i'll try and bid on these these can be good there's new and old ones in there these are the older that's like what my mom did she would mark my name on the bottom of them with a marker these are like the fake fake ones that you get a kmart or a dollar store i like them [Applause] [Music] some trolls do okay i'm just not super interested in selling them hotel freak las vegas mary poppins [Music] scale oh wow they have lots of disney movies little mermaid bambi babe lady and the about my grandmother had a set of these but i think hers are even bigger and they come on the wall in the kitchen a fellow auction goer and free market goer mr boskops who's given me some goodies before he's here and he so nicely gave me this idea book 75 years of exciting gifts um i don't think the grass is wet we should be fine so it's one of those green stamp books i just saw that now where you would buy items based on your green stamps and like he said everything is that like avocado green but how fun is this oh this catalog is fun because there's also toys in the back uh where was it tennis oh a boat sign me up here we go this disney one is 828 gun disney 401 puppet theater only one and a half books i mean i'm sure it took a while to get all that but a cheesy a whole bedroom set oh wow look at those siamese cats so this is fun so thank you mr moskov he also collects paper so this was nice enough he's nice enough to pass this along to me i know this is really random but this is like summer camp bathroom [Music] oh i love it you're the door step down yeah i love these old like pavilion places because this is like classic summer camp ah the things you see at an auction remember these kind of paper towel dispensers [Music] am i here for an auction i'm right here for fun all-time fun [Music] fort howard paper company green bay wisconsin i'm going on a swing we're not doing this not going on a swing here we are really going back in time folks a water fountain does not work though and there's another little spigot that's really cute i wish this would work because i would get myself a drink from it but it doesn't looks like it hasn't been working in a while this is a cute pavilion we have some raindrops on the tin roof this is really nice pavilion i like how the it's built the tables are built around the um the beams ooh that car is driving backwards this would be great for a big picnic picnic food my favorite part was probably going on the swing i love that little picnic pavilion area it just reminded me of old summer camps and you know family reunions getting together and having a big spread out at the you know the local pavilions the bathroom the water fountain that awesome bar you know with the taps that you just put your beer up to and the clam bar though i'm not a big clam person um it was fun i liked it there i like to just go back and swing swinging don't get too high but just high enough and that was fun anyway so what did i buy well i did buy something from my childhood besides swinging i ended up i was the winning bidder for the my little ponies i spent ten dollars on the box which to me was a great deal um let's see the postcards sold i think they said there were around 30 some postcards so for 20 a little too much for me the hankies went for five dollars per tray which actually was not a bad a bad deal there were some really cute ones too i like the ones with the animals on them but just a nice you know relaxing auction and i was really glad i bought the ponies so why did i buy the my little ponies my little ponies you know there was the whole brony thing which i think still goes on they are men that watch and collect my little ponies but more so i think the newer my little pony series which i don't watch i'm not a huge fan of i like the classics but my little ponies can bring in a good amount of money of course depending on the pony some of them are more rare or more collected than others now similar to what my mother did um these are marked on the bottom in sharpie with the person's name on it my mom did my initials for some of them i don't know why so i'm going to have to go and clean these i think most all of them need to be cleaned now this one doesn't have the name on it this is 1987. so it's real easy to see you know the difference between the old and the newer ponies this is a newer like knockoff that's not even my little pony brand there was one in here that was a knock off my little pony this is 1989 by remco so of course you had all the other companies coming out wanting to make them i don't know what the value of this would be there might even be a market for the knockoff so i'll have to look but we have the seahorses this looks like it might have some mold inside these you have taken to the bathtub come on now but yeah that looks like mold inside to me and the hair is kind of weird this lady where is she from it's china this is hasbro i don't recall these thin ones like that i still have all my little ponies when i was little i did like these the these have the um winky eyes but at least their hair isn't cut off this was 1983 and this is a little bit earlier one piece this is keats so what i'm going to do is i'm going to show you we're going to take a look at some of these ponies and try and see if we can find out what they're worth or i'll spare you the long research that i'll do and then just show you perhaps some that might bring a little bit more money she has the bedazzled eyes i just loved my little ponies i don't remember watching the cartoon a lot when i was little but having my little ponies was a huge deal this is one of the toys that i played with a lot and as i said i still have mine this one was so cute it's a little ballet one oh some there's a shoe in there i forgot they did have shoes see they have these little shoes you put on them she's a strawberry girl with a little strawberry there were some that they're um holy moly ah this one used to have wings these can go for a lot of money the winged ones man that is bright um but there were some that this changed color whatever was printed on there it would change color whoops oh no we lost one there's a couple of these in here ten dollars i think i did well we shall see so yes we're gonna see what my little ponies we have and how much some of them might be worth but thank you for watching stick around for the reveal of if i did well on my my little pony purchase go through them all but i thought i would share with you some prices of some of the ponies that i did purchase keep in mind that my price or my asking price will be a little bit different because i do have to clean the ponies and get the marker off so they are obviously not going to get top dollar because they are not in top condition the two that will most likely do the best are the twinkle eye ponies the ones that have the jewels in the eyes first up we have tic-tac-toe i looked at the current listings and some of the ponies have a lot others only have a few and i only pulled from those that are in the united states a lot in australia and canada for some reason so as you can see on the left there are two that are listed one for 55 one for 45 again they look to be in really nice shape one recently sold just a few days ago for 55.50 this one even has it looks like the comb and the little hair ribbon with it so what will mine bring i think mine could bring at least twenty dollars again it all depends if i can get that marker off but the solds range from twenty to fifty dollars so this type of my little pony with the twinkle eye are are great for reselling here's another example you have whizzer this too also had the twinkle eye there is one currently now oh there was only an hour left when i did this for six dollars and fifty cents with three bids there's another one listed for 45 dollars with a few accessories and then you have the grail from canada i forgot that that was in there but i included this one because it is still in the package so if you ever ever find vintage my little ponies that are still in the package buy them so as you see on the right prices are all over again it depends on condition you have as low as 13 or best offer all the way up to 61 with 20 bids and that was in very good condition next up we have some little babies this is baby quackers there are different prices i believe this one had a few listed online first ones for 34.99 are best offer another one 29.99 are best offer so you can see the you know the price difference solds they seem to be in the low teens two were sold for uh 14 dollars so this isn't easy probably ten dollars not too bad solds again range from ten to twenty dollars then we have baby paws i thought this one was rather cute twenty dollars thirty dollars buy it now oftentimes people will buy even if it is a little more um expensive if it's enlisted for a little bit more based solely off of pictures and price point on shipping also they're going to look at the feedback too for solds again 14.95 7.30 shipping and then a best offer was accepted from the twenty dollars so sold on this guy ranges from ten to twenty dollars so just between this one and baby quackers i would say i could make twenty dollars and so i'm already in the profit of ten dollars for my ten dollar investment and then with all the other ponies i think i think this was ten dollars well spent what will today's adventure be that is the calling of the my little ponies in their theme song so yes i spent ten dollars on this box i think i can probably eke out at least 50 to maybe even a hundred dollars profit the jewel or the twinkle eye horses they will be my best my best finds and then the other ones could be between 10 to 20 dollars a piece it might even be great to just lock them up and let them run at auction yes you can never go wrong with vintage my little ponies and all their adventures and i like to have adventures here and paper and moose and i hope that you join me for the next adventure what
