TRASH PICKING WOW! All This Thrown Away! Ep. 53

welcome to paper and moose let's just get right to it i've not been able to trash pick for some time because of the weather because of the five foot piles of snow because of not being able to even get down the street because the snow is so bad and today i finally went out to garbage pick and i started it off amazing one stop one stop shop join me i'm so excited still it is a good garbage picking day oh we got a pile life magazines oh there no thanks nice oh what are oh my gosh 10 pounds those are awesome i mean this they just put out for anyone to take thank you it's like cooking what's in here oh what's in here there's like bags of clothes but these don't look like vintage things and i i can't be just taking stuff to take it anymore because i know my market at the flea market which those are cute those are vintage we'll take those make a little pile oh my gosh look how cute that is that's adorable i'll take that it's just like the whole set oh my gosh can the tail look dunky this is awesome normally i would take the bags but i can't first of all i have no room in my car because i just came back from an estate sale that's newer new year's eve stuff so we're a whole bunch of books this is nuts dr doolittle oh there's some more weights there's a norman rock ball plate and this is a shame but what what am i there's nothing i can do this looks like toys again normally i would take the bags if not vintage stuff and you know you can yell at me oh mad oh what are those those are all mad magazines this might be a bag all right i'm gonna take one bag i think i lied there's a basket all right we're gonna take that one i lied i'm not taking the bag because there's like wood in the bottom of it these are nice so we're going to cherry pick i don't know how old these are but we're going to grab them i don't think they're that old 196. that's all right we're going to take them someone will buy them at the flea market yeah the bottom of this has like wood sticking out and i'm not about but i i don't have my garbage yeah look there's insulation coffee right onto the cups bag what's this that's awesome that is definitely older oh my gosh it's a whole oh my gosh it's a whole costume i'm so excited and i said there wasn't any vintage halloween boy did i make a wire out of myself oh my gosh that is amazing how cool is that well this card has baseball stuff in it i might have to take this bag i know i lie i think we're gonna grab this one of course that's like super heavy but we're gonna do it so we will have a bag to go through oh my gosh oh my goodness oh my goodness [Music] these are all new oh wow oh my goodness oh my goodness oh my goodness this is amazing these are so cute what's in here another one had mostly garbage in it okay i don't remember it's hard to keep track did you look at this charlotte i'm gonna turn my camera off the batter is gonna die soon vintage christmas vintage halloween vintage exercising equipment all found at this one stop i also took one bag now i'm going to preface this whole thing with a little spiel you know for those that may reckon or harken back to my old trash bag house from last spring where i would take all the bags and the reason that i took all the bags then is because it was all vintage pretty much everything in those bags were was vintage and that is what i love that is what i love to resell that is what i am most likely to resell for a better book than the newer stuff so this house bags of stuff i look through the bags some of it was trash some of it had a mixture of trash and stuff yeah a lot of that stuff there was resellable but i'm trying to move out my old inventory so i have room for new inventory that will bring in more money i also am trying to hone down what i saw at the flea market i want to sell items that people genuinely look for and not so much maybe oh you know well i could buy that at walmart but i'm going to buy it here for a dollar i want to get away from that i really want to focus more on vintage and antique items of course there are going to be some exceptions so that's why i did not take all the bags and i also didn't have room in my car because i just gotten back from an estate cell and spotted the bags and i want to go home take everything out and come back and risk the bags not being there but i did take one bag it was the bag that had the baseball cards and i'm pretty sure there are legos maybe like 50 pounds of legos because that garbage bag is heavy so watch out for that video it will be upcoming um so i was one reason why i didn't take all the bags then at the spot as i was looking through some women on a bike with their kids they come up they start looking and then another woman she pulls up and she starts looking and we start talking that woman owns like an antique shop and she does a lot of estate clean out so i mentioned oh i love you know going to estates house and here's what i look for so we exchanged phone numbers she said she's going to have a lot of clean outs coming up so she might need some help then the girl who is putting the stuff out in the trash she comes out and she explains that i think it's her parents house and they are moving and pretty much getting rid of everything so i step up to the plate i tell her my name and i tell her what i like i tell her that i know someone taco stacks that can you know move a lot of items in bulk and so i ask for her number and i text her my name you know what i like maybe i should have pulled her off to the side maybe when she was walking back towards the house at some point i should have like asked her to stop talk to her in private but naturally i didn't think of that i just wanted to get it out there and so the other women also got her phone number um you know they're looking for furniture other things i don't know she said you know they're going to be putting out stuff for a little bit of time and when i mentioned about the vintage holiday she told me that this coming week is when they're going to be looking through their vintage christmas 1940s 1950s so i said please do not put that out in the trash i will gladly even pay you for the things and she said that she would give me a text later on in the week with some photos so i hope you know i'm going to send her a reminder text probably just in a couple days i don't want to be those annoying people and i know i'm gonna have people say oh you gotta you know grab the bull by the horns you gotta get in there you gotta do this you gotta do that i've heard horror stories of people that try and do deals with you know antique dealers antique store dealers ah thrift shop whatever you name it clean out people and it goes bad because of their attitude because of how they are and how aggressive they are being towards these people i don't want to be like that you know there's that saying if what is meant for you will find you if i'm supposed to have this vintage christmas stuff then it'll be easy as corny as that sounds that is how i try and look at this whole thing because if you don't you're gonna drive yourself nuts with anxiety i mean i already have anxiety you know about that i'm wondering what kind of christmas stuff she has so we shall see what happens with that the point is she has my number she knows what i like it's out there it is out there what happens it is what it is so anyway sorry i've read that diatribe i just wanted to explain why i didn't take everything except for that one bag and you know what could hopefully be the next step with this so what did i take vintage and vintage sells for me you know newer baby toys those recycling cans full of books that hurt my heart but i have no means to to store those things i i throw shops about if they're going to donate them and fortunately the other ladies that were there they were taking a lot of the books so so that was good but okay so let's just let's just dive into this i did take some baskets the one was longaberger um this one's nice it's a little bit older this one was just thrown in there made in china whatever i do like the look of this though okay oh my gosh my brain vintage we have halloween masks i love the wolfman one he is great um robin i think that's robin no batman we have mr devil oh he's neat uh robin hood and then this hobo looking man i did find these awesome glasses they were with their um oh they're clear oh yeah low battery okay whatever how do i look can i see myself i can't oh these look awesome i can wear these with my contacts oh this is wonderful i love these all right we have those the crows agree the crows agree um and i found this vintage easter tray which is rather nice oh let's see oh more halloween glad i looked back through that v the halloween bin again because we found the zaro outfit the cap a binet i'll be creation walt disney products and then his little cape oh my gosh you know this could be worth something online but to have found this in the trash for me is a find to some others it may be a couple bucks it may be nothing special but i love this stuff and this is why i love trash picking saving this from the trash we did get the postman hat that's pretty neat uh the ups hat two i did pick up this out of the one book the solenoid tables 1953 paper paper i wonder what paper's in that house can't can't think of it renee you'll drive yourself nuts um the weights i picked up the 10 pound weights good trying to get through this as fast then we had this whole little selection of party gear with a cowboy we have the napkins howdy partner the centerpiece never used one dollar and then we have the placemats again never used love it the pin the tail on the donkey game um here's the other book i don't know if this was longaberger i think it said something else on it a-r-a-r-e-r i did pick up a christmas carol's little golden book and then we have all the mad magazines you know these aren't old there's gordon ramsay that's 2015. but something like this i'll take it to the flea market and it'll be this will be an easy sell for me so those were fun now these were like vintage ones then first i saw the backs of these and i thought oh my gosh they're vintage they're not they're like from kmart 84 cents maybe i'd get a buck for them at the flea market but inside i found all sorts of vintage little christmas goodies the crows are loving it i know i know this guy this little darling this little yarn alpha man little drummer boy i mean these are in such great shape i love him he is so cute so seeing all these this is why i'm anxious already for what vintage christmas she does have because lord help me granted finding a trash bag full of vintage christmas out on the road would be an amazing and to me would be such a great find and a great video but to be able to not have to go through a garbage bag and just have it all boxed up already would be nice too oh this guy santa rattle and this little lady those crows are very active we have another angel and we even have a knee hugger elf this is probably a long video this is already 10 minutes i don't even know how long it's gonna be when i show i don't even know how my clips turned out i was too excited get too excited about it crows are excited about it it was good trash picking so i hope you enjoyed this stay tuned for the bag reveal i
