in second Samuel second Samuel Chapter 12 and beginning at about verse 18 reading through and including oh yes yes yes oh please beginning at verse 18 reading through and including verse 24 now the choir is going to have quite a production on the 31st amen the choirs gonna have quite a production and I promised them that I'd make this announcement and I'm going to make this announcement I'm gonna get one of those shirts one body one sound and they've got these t-shirts to help to offset whatever it is that they're spending to make the production wonderful on the 31st that's New Year's Eve that's going from 19 to 20 I can't wait to hear what the prophets have to say about what's gonna happen going into the twenty and you know prophets they always have a word on what's going to happen and 20 looks like a nice number for them to give us some complicated presentation of what God is gonna do in 20 but anyway the choir is gonna get us ready for whatever the prophetic word is for 20 and I want everyone to grab one of these t-shirts I guess we're gonna wear these t-shirts that night the t-shirts it's like going to one of the ball games and everybody's got the same t-shirt on and all that kind of stuff so as many as can grab one of these t-shirts I'll buy ten for those who can't afford them out by ten and and let's let's do that now second Samuel Chapter twelve and beginning at verse 18 through an including verse 24 and it came to pass his seventeen is good and the evidence of his house arose and went to him to raise him up from the earth but he would not neither did he eat bread with them and it came to pass on the seventh day that the child died and the servants of David fared to tell him that the child was dead for they said Behold while the child was yet alive we spake unto Him and he would not hearken unto our voice how will he then vex himself if we tell him that the child is dead but when David saw that his servants whispered David perceived that the child was dead therefore said David unto his servants is the child dead and they said he is dead then David arose from the earth and washed and anointed himself and changed his bow and came into the house of the lord and worshiped then he came to his own house when he required they set bread before him and he did eat then said his servants unto him the distress and weep for the child while it was alive but when the child was dead about two dis rise and eat brit and he said while the child was yet alive I fasted and wept for I said who can tell whether God will be gracious to me but the child may live but now he is dead where for should I fast can I bring him back again I shall go to him but he shall not return to me and David comforted Bathsheba's his wife and went in unto her and lay with her and she bare a son and he called his name Solomon loved him Squire amen look at your neighbor with all the ebullience you can find look I'm dead in the eye and tell him get up it's over one of the one one way of evaluating the the prevalence of a condition the yes I can't find a better way something that's continuous and repetitive one of the ways to grasp the chroniclers attitude and one of the ways to understand the nation's disposition towards any one thing is to check the etymology is to check the words that are used and how often they are used and how many different words they are for a particular situation or particular attitude or the thing when you deal with David and the Old Testament and obviously we have to deal with Hebrew and the word for guilt in Hebrew one word is Raja and it simply means to act wickedly to condemn as guilty one etymologist puts it like this he says and I quote it denotes the negative behavior of evil thoughts words and deeds a behavior not only to God's character but hostile to the community and which at the same time betrays the inner disharmony and on the rest of a person unquote Rashaad the act of doing wickedly it's it's its disposition that brings about a particular act and as the writer says it shows a great deal of the disharmony within the individual oftentimes we we deal with people who do things that are wicked things that bring guilt and we oftentimes just think of the action from an outward point of view but we never ever probe into the brokenness and the disharmony that runs inside the individual we look at their behavior but we don't know the storm that is raging on the inside that oftentimes leads to this negative or wicked behavior oh it'll get lighter as we go I promise again they because of the prevalence of this thing called guilt in the social environment in in Israel and Israel of course is a microcosm of the world it is no separate and different from where you and I stand the prevalence of this guilt brought in another word and it's called a Shem the primary meaning of this word now is its centers on guilt but it moves from the act and which brings guilt to the condition of guilt through and to the act of punishment it is not only now concerned about the act or the behavior in particular but it now brings another aspect another psychological debilitating aspect that surrounds guilt and that is often times the need for punishment on the one hand we cry for justice whenever we've been wronged or we've been hurt and I have had to rationalize so try to figure out in many instances is a cry for justice actually cry for revenge many times we we see justice and justice indeed and in fact in cases where people have been murdered or things have been stolen you're not getting the thing back we're calling for justice but we have no closure until something is done to the perpetrator and the question now arises if I really forgive you if I ever forgive you do I want you to be punished the question arises is does forgiveness is it only satisfied when the individual who have wronged you or is punished punishment a part of forgiveness or is punishment a part of justice and am i seeking justice when I can't get a person back or am i seeking revenge leave it to you to think about it often times however it's not only the victim who is seeking to be punished but many times the guilty wants to be punished because oftentimes the guilty is probably feeling like I am NOT absolved from the situation until I have been punished and because of that psychologically the individual is bound to the guilt of an action and they seek punishment to that action and oftentimes they literally punish themselves the deal with the need for punishment is on the side as I said of the victim and and the perpetrator sometimes you feel suicidal because of your guilt and and in circumstances where there great amount of pressure for you to be an achiever or to succeed sometimes when you fail to succeed you feel the guilt of failing to succeed and many times that leads to suicide I think of Cornell I was just talking to my kids the other day and a couple well know will went to Cornell in the middle of Cornell there is a gorge there is indeed a ravine it is a precipitous place in the middle of the college that is probably at least a hundred to two hundred feet down and because of the pressure that the kids have the pressure from families who have been in Cornell for years and years and the kids have to measure up to the level that their parents and their grandparents and in some cases their great-grandparents excuse me have matriculated and have put the kind of pressure on these kids that they feel guilty when they fail and when they don't measure up to the level and often times they commit suicide they just jump over into the deep gorge because they fail and they feel guilty and if you nurse and harbor guilty feelings to the point where you feel like you ought to be punished but then it leads in many instances to an individual hurting themselves when you contrast this you contrast punishment and redemption and and I looked at that in Psalms 34 about 21 and 22 the psalmist declares that a sham is punishment in and of itself that is sometimes he is saying that the guilt that I'm feeling is eating me up so awfully and so terribly that you don't have to add to my guilt you don't have to bring any punishment because I'm literally beating myself up because of the action that I took that was either wicked or action that I took that was wrong and I'm trying to get over it but it's eating me up how many times have you rehearsed a situation and gone over it again and again and you wish that it had never happened you wish you were somewhere else and it seems that it brings on sleepless nights and it causes you to have a feeling that breaks you down so terribly that you don't even want to come out of the house you don't want to leave because you feel as if everybody is a the behavior that you exhibited and it almost driving you mad the sting of inner guilt feeling deals with bearing ones guilt and it literally says they are mad because guilt is so overpowering the crippling it distorts all of the mental faculties so you can see guilt on somebody's face you can see guilt on the way they talk and then for those who specialize in keeping people guilty specialize in reminding people of what they have done and keep that the list of things that people have done in your little black book got a little book and some people are glad when you do something wrong because wrong and guilt is what they use to control you and keep you within a certain box and parameter and keep you looking negatively at yourself and hold you in guilt and and and guilt will make you crazy G Belgium he said it like this Belgium is his name and he says and I quote guilt has been described as the place where religion and psychology most often meet unquote and probably there is no subject there is no topic with equal interest to both theologians and professional counselors because Gil pervades all of the psychological problem areas anytime you're looking at some sort of psychological difficulty you can find guilt in there some Collins puts it like this he says people who are depressed lonely struggling with marriage problems alcoholic grieving dealing with middle age or facing any other problem experience guilt as a part of the difficulties relationships that are out of whack people who have strayed out of marriages people who have given themselves when they shouldn't people who have been close to people that they shouldn't have been people who have stolen things people who have hurt other people they end up with guilt and this guilt moves into every part of their lives it's involved in all psychological problems problems plus guilt can you imagine living in regret everyday and holding on to the negatives and leading with the negatives and looking at yourself from the point of view of being painted and dirty and nasty and it's a problem because guilt for what others are doing to you oftentimes you know you're in the hand of a master when you're feeling guilty about what somebody else is doing to you and many times in our upbringing and as we were developing we had to deal with people who were mean and wicked and cruel and abusive and sexually abusive and how did it last year after year after year after year because we were dealing with somebody who had us feeling guilty about what they were doing to us and oh yes and what why many people have been raised in kind of abusive situation and you don't just eradicate it you don't just get up one morning and all of it is erased it finds its way and it winds its way into other aspects of your life until many people have difficulties with relationships difficulties with going forward because they feel guilty about what somebody else was doing to them at an early age and held them into guilt sometimes the question is why didn't you say something and the answer many times unspoken is because I thought I was the part of the problem and I was made to feel as if I was the one who was causing the abuse and I was the one who was causing somebody to mistreat me and to hold me and guilt then is something that lingers after the action has been taken so you're holding on to the vestiges of an action that you cannot change that is already done that you cannot reverse and you cannot fix if you had a time machine you would probably go back and then come forward and erase that from the repertoire of your life but guilt holds on to the thing that you need to get over and guilt holds on to the thing that you need to walk away from many kinds of guilt of course the first that comes to mind is legal guilt and that is when you break the law I have been guilty of breaking the law of going way too fast and immediately you know I felt the guilt when I heard a siren go off and some lights begin to flash and and I begin to you know get nervous and begin to wonder it was there a speech did he catch me is he coming down here for me and and and you're glad when he flashes right by you and of a sudden you the feeling of guilt sort of passes the guilt of course of getting caught it's not that speed has eliminated or been eliminated from my diet it's just getting caught is the problem I want to go fast but I don't want to get caught and that's why I put those radar detectors up and all that kind of stuff and I learned in Texas when they came out with the new radar detector that goes the speed of light that you can't get away from the laser detector so you have to race towards the man in front of you and when you're leading the pack you slow down just just operating and understanding and when the light starts flashing or the police comes to the door and knocks on the door the guilt shows up because you know you had a big coat in the store and you hung something on that big coat as you were walking through the store now the man is knocking on the door he's on the wrong door and yet you're running out the back door because you figure he was coming for you guilt has got you moving yeah oh yes oh yes oh yes you buy your wife some flowers because you've been playing and guilt has got you so messed up you bring her a gift not knowing that she knows that why are you bringing me a gift on a Wednesday on a no time day it's not my birthday it's not my lunch day it ain't your birthday it ain't the anniversary it ain't nothing why are you bringing me these flowers well bringing these flowers out of guilt that's why I'm giving you these flowers because I've been a naughty girl legal guilt of course and then there's social guilt and social give is when you break an unwritten but social expected rule when you break it and you don't I could give you many many examples of the social breaking and that causes you to have guilt you come in and you didn't know the circumstances and you spoke rashly and harshly only to find that you were wrong and now you had to make up you had to say you're sorry and it feel guilty and you feel foolish many times I tell young preachers you go to churches and there are unspoken rules that pastors have and often times you don't know why you never got back because you broke a rule that was an unwritten rule nobody told you and gave you a list of things to do or not to do you took too long with the offering or you didn't take a second offering or you didn't make an altar call or you didn't say something that you should have said you didn't recognize him and so many times we operate in places where there are rules that we don't even know they exist and then suddenly you were caught off and you feel extricated you feel isolated and you just discovered I did something wrong that I didn't know and then of course there's personal guilt and most of us will have this guilt about towards the end of January somewhere into February because we make resolutions at the end of the year I'm going to lose the pounds around my stomach and instead of losing the 5 or 10 pounds I gained 5 or 10 more and now I'm looking at myself in the mirror ain't nothing but guilt this personal guilt because I set some rules that I didn't keep I'm not gonna eat a whole lot of beef I'm not gonna eat any more pork and yet still right in front of me is this sizzling bacon and it's tasting real good and all of a sudden every time I take a bite I feel guilty because I set some rules for myself that I didn't keep and then of course there is the one the ominous one and that is a theological guilt and this is God's setting his standards and to the child of God to violate the things of God is about as serious as it gets because this is God's standard this is God setting the path for me and one writer says this is really the only true guilt and that is the guilt that breaks that comes when you break God's standards and you know it's one thing to defy him that can only destroy the body but to defy him that can destroy both body and soul that's another level of defiance when you step away from the things of God all comes inside to subjective guilt because all of us have to deal with what it is that we have done and I'm learning now to tell me that God has forgiven you and you have not forgiven yourself it's not to have apprehended the forgiveness of God because guilt will you and me let me take it another way help me it's the end of the year so I'm trying to get myself to clean up whatever mess I made during the year so I can start the next year this is a clean up message you get it it's let's get rid of the mess and the things we can't change and let's get away from sok who liked to keep pushing our nose back into something we can't change people who simply want to control us but 11 January and in February well I can't reverse and go back so I need to find a way to get myself disattached from the things I've done not losing my sensitivity but understanding I can't stay in it and go forward with guilt I feel like preaching in here you see it's a critical thing this thing of guilt because it'll hold you and enslave you to the negative it'll keep you looking at things that hurt you and people that hurt you and people you have hurt and somehow just keep you bogged in this disposition and place and what God is saying to us is there has to be a time when you apropriate what I have given because I have the power to handle every negative thing that operates in your life you have to take the tool that I have given and you have to apply it to the circumstances of your life not to be insensitive no but to be a confessor of the things and an acknowledged er of the things this is why a shamanic greens are uncomfortable or regret it has a meaning of remorse of shame of self condemnation and it's subjective because of the sting of inner guilt and what that does is it brings discouragement because you keep saying to yourself I'm a failure and you keep saying I mess up all kinds of stuff I just keep messing up I just keep failing I just keep faltering and and and many times it's more intense when you have come to a certain level in life where you say to yourself I ought to be smarter than this and you say to yourself now I have so much to lose oh yes oh yes oh yes I have so much to lose and yet still I'm being like a little Judas it increases your guilt because you're saying God has given me so much and yet still I'm so careless with how much he has given me and I'm acting as if he's only worth thirty pieces of silver when he's worth a whole lot more than that I talk to you for a minute you know many of us think that we are exempt from the Judas experience but the Judas experience is simply having something of value and treating it like it's cheap I [Applause] feel like preaching in there you'll excuse me yes the Judas experience the Judas attitude and and and I have had Judas thoughts oh yes because God has been extremely good to me and he has blessed me in ways that I can't hardly describe and yet there are times when something little that I really don't need comes across my mind and for that moment I had a Judas moment and that is to sell out of everything you have achieved for something that's not going to be there and give it give up all that you have for something that's passing you can get into something in 15 minutes that'll take you 15 years to get out I will talk to some real people one of these days oh yes how many times have you gotten into something and then 15 years later you're trying to dig your way out of something that you got into without thinking talk to me somebody maybe maybe i'm dyslexic or something but you can slip into something listening to somebody else joining somebody else into something you didn't think of only to end up with the consequences of what it is that you got yourself into and it binds you because of the guilt you now begin to put yourself down how could I be so stupid how could I have allowed this and many times we feel guilty about who we trusted because many times we feel guilty because anytime you trust somebody and they break your trust you have to forgive two people the first person you have to forgive is the one who broke your trust and the second person you gotta forgive is yourself for having trusted them in the first place we don't we get through so with discouragement we end up with anxiety and a sense of isolation and a definite sense of the loss of self-esteem and over a hangover I had Damocles is the sword of the fear of punishment and but now guilt ought to be appropriate to one's behavior we don't need inordinate guilt we need guilt enough to bring us to the throne of grace and put us on our knees before God and then we have to ask God how to help us now to respond to the situation that we have caused in a way that we can come out of it better than when we went into it you see all things work together for good to them that love God and are called according to his purpose I feel a breakthrough coming I know it would be heavy but then we gotta have a breakthrough somewhere the ugliness of David's mistake many times we argue theologically that David was a despotic monarch and as a despotic monarch that puts him in the same place as Nebuchadnezzar in the same place as our RA has areas in the same place as Darius police in the same place as as Julius Caesar in the same place as Kublai Khan and that is without any kind of judicial system he can just thumbs down and you're dead and so the theologians generally say as a despotic monarch who can speak life and death over people and you you quote this all the time that in the tongue there is life and death in the tongue and people want to spiritualize it and say watch what you say because there's life and death in the top well if you're going into proverbs and you take that from Proverbs exegetically it is simply saying that there's life and death in the Kings mouth and that is he can tell you dead and you die and he can say live and you live now I don't care how much witchcraft you work in I don't care how much you got you can get all the dogs out put my name on it and you can stick the dog and say die and I'll still be here you can say it all you want to read I you know I'll still be here you stickin your doll and I'll be here the thing I'm gonna make sure is I don't eat your cooking now oh yes check the word pharmacy and see what it comes from just don't eat the cooking they can stick dolls and burn fires and incense put all kind of fires around the doll and kill all kind of goats and chickens I'll still be over here praising God because ain't no witch big enough to defeat the power of the Holy Ghost I feel like having Church a little bit here they say and they try to give the impression that he was like the rest of the fellas I disagree totally from this point of view and that is that Nebuchadnezzar police Darius Kubla Khan Julius Caesar none of them wrote the Lord is my shepherd I shall not want none of them had a relationship with God like David none of them was described as a man after God's own heart so please don't put David in that category as if he was senseless and had no kind of sensitivity to the things of God or the people of God no he was a good man who did something awful because of something that was in him that he didn't fix I wish I could preach you see when the guard told Saul he said I need you to take care of a king call again I need you to rid us of a cat I need you to do something to him and eliminate him completely well Saul didn't do it looking at the present age God was looking all the way down to Haman he was looking at Haman who would be in a position to destroy Israel because Haman was an aggregator and he wanted to destroy the its while they were unable to perform any act of violence against Israel Saul had the power over eight but he released the power and a gag multiplied and by time they got to a has areas now they had become a powerful entity because Haman was in a position to destroy Israel I brought that up to say to you that many of us have the sin that so easily besets and we have a proclivity or a tendency for something I don't know what your weakness is hmm I don't know what your trials are I know my and you have a weakness and what God says with that weakness is destroy it early don't let it become a stronghold in your life feel the Holy Spirit here because many times we have things on the inside that begin to brew from where little and and we feed them and we nurture them how many weaknesses do we cater to how many lusts of the flesh of the eye and yes the pride of life is that we cater to don't look at me like Alice in Wonderland there are certain things that we feel and we feed them from their little until they become monsters you see David fed his love for women and he fed it until it became a monster it's time he was busy doing God's will 98% of his time he was working for the Lord preaching and I'm flying from place to place doing the will of God it's yes yes yes and it seems like I ought to be so tired that I'd be lying in the bed and sleeping but oh when you're off and you begin to feel like you need to find something to get into oh my life is so dull I need some excitement all I'm doing is preaching and immediately whatever you have fed begins to talk to you about its own satiation and satisfaction 98% of the time David was operating in the power of his kingdom but when he should have gone to fight he stayed home instead of going with the army keep somebody high five and tell him stay with the army of the Lord don't you stray off by yourself you see with his yoke of conditioning sort of yes collision course with calamity because whatever you feed and whatever you give power to in your own system becomes a stronghold and many times it brings you so terribly some people are stealing because they kept Oh maniacs they don't need it because it's now a stronghold some people become a stronghold some people just I mean wow Oh Lord the Lord Lord don't let me even think just lie just to lie oh well I went downtown and I I bought 12 suits last week nobody concerned about how many suits you watch and you're lying anyway because you can't afford 12 suits at one time you ain't got the credit and you ain't got the money you just lying some people just lie just to lie and it comes stronghold and so it's easily there to pull you into something it goes like this if I had been on the job why did I have to be there why didn't I have enough strength not to do that and you beat yourself up night and night night and day beating yourself up so David now sees the woman bathing and he sings for her to come to his castle have you been with the men in the middle of the fight he would not have seen that this man's wife but he sees this man's wife and with his charisma and his persona and with his position and with his power he calls her over and he commits adultery now the next system is why didn't I own up to it why didn't I just say I did it after all I am The King why didn't I confess it and acknowledge it I've got news for you sometimes the cover-up is worse than the deed like shouting the deed the DD sometimes you get in trouble with the law because now you're gonna perjure yourself and now how many times have we as men we could lie our way out of a situation and imagine women do it - I don't think it's I think it's an equal opportunity where women do it out of a situation and I say to my brother's many times why do you think should I say that again maybe you oughta just come clean David and just admit that you have messed up now Uriah dies because of his faithfulness it is his faithfulness that kills him because David sent for him to come hoping he would go home but he wouldn't go home and this indeed makes Davidson even greater because the man would not go home to his wife because his fellow soldiers were fighting in the war and he said to himself why should I go home and have pleasure while my brothers are fighting in the war yet still the master or the commander-in-chief is the one who is looking at these faithful servants wife and sends him into the heat of the battle to die please can you get where you're going to kill the man out of his faithfulness and out of his goodness when you are the commander in chief and you ought to have been in the middle of the vowel I don't know how many folk could get over that and how many folk could come out of that so let me kill you Raya who is too faithful to live he won't go home now the awful exposure now is because David's condemnation on himself because in order for God to bring us out of that place of conviction he has to bring us to that place first he's gonna bring me to the place where I will admit because we get cold and indifferent in the things that we do and for a long time David was real cool completely forgot the whole incident but he still had a good heart here is why when the blood was brought to him the case that a man had won you and another man his neighbor had a visitor to come the one with everything his he went over to feed his visitor and David said that man shall surely die and Nathan said to David Lauer to the man and immediately the conviction came upon David everybody ought to give God thanks when he can still reach your heart you ought to give God's thanks when in spite of all that you've done there's still a place where God can bring tears to your eyes we ought to give God thanks you gotta understand it huh you oughta give God thanks that you can come to a place of repentance you wanna give God thanks when you can cry over what you've done oh you ought to give God thanks when he can get you to say I'm sorry I'm hurting over it Lord but I'm sorry the comedy of the consequence because he's threatened an eternal relationship for a one night and an eternal walk with God for a one-night stand I'm glad it wasn't the sin of Jeroboam because Jeroboam got cut off I'm glad it was not the sin oh god I feel it in here I haven't talked about Bathsheba yet but consider Bathsheba's pain is also David's pain and one that she commits adultery with a polygamous man when she's got a monogamous man in her house I feel like preaching maybe I ought to talk about that why in the world would you prefer David over Uriah why would you wanna be with a David when you can be what are you why would you wanna be man when you can have a monogamous man you know what he's gonna do baby he's coming home you gonna turn the TV on Sunday evening he gonna watch the games he gonna watch the football for the pros he's high school Thursday he's gonna watch junior high school all you gotta do is get him some meat lean on him and watch the TV and it's gonna be movie night but no he's too boring uh-huh you need some exciting polygamous person who you won't know where they are at what time and you gotta be fouling him up all the time you gotta check the passwords as he changes and you gotta check the phone book and check his phone and check the phone numbers when they come in you go to the phone numbers like you're an accountant trying to figure out where this number is uh you got that share his phone and you got share the phone so you know to share the location so yeah you know when he comes from I was a church baby nah that ain't what the location here says this is an address we don't know nothing about why would you want that she ends up with a polygamous man when she had a monogamous person somebody who would attend to her alone she's pregnant my man that's not her husband so something she should be joyful about she's gotta hide oh my god then she loses her first child and how in the world could she be happy with that that's why the Bible says after David came to himself he had to go and comfort her I feel like preaching this thing somebody's coming out pull on your neighbor say I don't care what you've done you gotta get over it you gotta get up and get over it I don't care where you've been you gotta get up and get over it Israel is embarrassed the monarchy is defiled the name of God is blasphemed and David has just introduced division in his family so the perpetrator is now the victim of the consequences of his own behavior you know when things are bad is when you now have to suffer as a victim because of the consequences of your own behavior oh I've been there and done that when it was me who was the perpetrator but the consequences of my actions made a victim out of me because the punishment came back to me harder than what I thought my deed was and I had to wallow in it and cry about it and stoop in it ah but I would have gone crazy had I not read the song have mercy on me O Lord I'm not looking for justice now I'm looking for mercy you can have all the justice you want but Lord give me mercy I feel like having Church in here give somebody a high five and say after all I need mercy that's why he said I will dwell in the house of the Lord and goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life let's have Church that wash me thoroughly and cleanse me create in me a clean heart new right spirit within me cast me not away from thy presence and for God's sake take not thy Holy Spirit from me I feel like giving God the glory give some money - and say in spite of it all I still wanna walk with the Lord the Holy Spirit with me because if it had not been for the conviction of the Holy Spirit I would still be in the wickedness of my own creation but I want to thank God for the power of the Holy Ghost you can't make me feel like the Holy Ghost can make me feel when God corners me in the middle of the night and says you better get right get right get right and I've provided the way for you to get right I provided the way for you to come clean and that is wash me and I shall be clean create in me a clean heart renew within me every now and then all of God's children I've got to get down on the knees and say Oh Lord created me the right spirit I need the right attitude towards the people around me cuz I can get ugly sometimes I need the right spirit towards people who are successful because I can get nasty sometimes I can be a hater like everybody else but teach me Lord to enjoy the other person's success teach me Lord to be blessed when others are blessed and to be happy when others I happen teach me Lord not to be mean so I need you to keep the Holy Spirit keep it with me you can take my house you can take my car you can take my money but one thing I don't want you for the taker is the Holy Ghost I need the Holy Ghost give some money high five [Music] [Music] [Applause] get up get up shake yourself give somebody a high five say neighbor I'm getting ready to go to dinner I'm getting ready don't forget what I'm done you can bring January up to tell you January is under the brother is another blood may june july it's all under the blood i can't change it i can't reverse it but i'm so glad tell your enemies I can't change it but God has erased it with newness with freshness with its [Music] give somebody a high five for the last time and say neighbor gather it's over wipe your tears go to church can't compliment give him the praise he's one [Music] [Applause] [Music] forgive yourself sit down give me three minutes [Music] [Applause] maybe you don't need forgiveness like I do but I need forgiveness while they're talking about you but now everybody remembers when you were down and everybody wanna remember when you were hurt and when you were caught and when you were guilty but I'm glad while they're remembering he's wiping me please cause he's at the right hand of God making intercession and when I'm clean to God it don't matter how I look to you [Music] yeah when God said I'm clean [Music] yeah [Music] that all vermin they've been down on yourself long enough get over you can't change if you could you would done they were shocked they couldn't figure it out y'all y'all rest a little bit I'm the only one working they were shocked shocked cuz they couldn't understand how he could be so broken while the child was living what they didn't understand the ones he was carrying that burden - I'm talking about a multiple guilt situation that probably you and I have never experienced he was carrying that situation because God told him the child is going to die not because of his sin directly but because he caused the enemies of the Lord to blaspheme you see the child was the personification of David's in the best way to explain that is to go to Paterno at Penn State when Paterno was successful over a thousand wins they built a monument as an indication of his success the monument became it was monumental not personified because it was simply a statue that represented his success when the scandal broke the statue now represents something else because you won't remember the thousand and one win they'll only remember the scandal so in order now for them not to have any negative collaboration they tore it down to remove the monument that now represents scandal the child was more than a monument because the child is a living embodiment of David's sin but it wasn't the holy folk that were blaspheming it was the enemies of the Lord not the friend not his friends his enemies so it goes like this David is on his way with a little boy to go get some ice cream over at 7-eleven and as he's going a little fella who would it get 7-eleven a little boy now one of his the Lord's enemies hole in his father you you're blind or something don't you see a little boy right there that's the boy that got Uriah killed right there that's him right there now he's now playing t-ball ready to bat the t-ball he's older now and one of the enemies sitting in the stand I'm not talking about the picture I'm talking about the one that's the one that's a little boy getting ready to graduate from school you should have one marching around that's not the one I'm talking about come for from the front one two three the fourth one that's the boy the only way the blasphemy would stop is when that generation died because the enemies continue to seek to destroy over your mistakes I suggest you very carefully not absolutely and I'm not being dogmatic [Music] and try to control is at the very least extremely problematic to your psyche this house is not to be a place it's a place to remove guilt and you don't have to defend God as it relates to anybody in this room you don't have to defend God over his people you don't have to defend God over the worst person that's in here you don't have to make the judgment because if anybody knows how to deal with sin is God he hung on the cross that when I'm wrong I confess and he says he's faithful and just to forgive because he already died all of my sins and I'm gonna let you kill me over there me keep somebody high five for the last time and say neighbor whatever it was is under the blood and not only is it under the blood it's been expunged from my record cuz she threw it in the sea of get over look at your neighbor and say I'm about to live my best life guilt-free to me he is so wonderful to me he is so much to me so God's calling it come on get over then come I wanna make the Lord money here's how [Music] Keifer lovely mr. Munsen sent wonderful [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] all right swing it [Music] come on he's calling I'm coming I'm not asking you to join church and then asked you to be a member I'm saying come to Jesus come to Jesus [Music] come come on now you put it on oh how I love Jesus Oh Jesus jeez has [Music] first lovely Oh I love Jesus sending all our laughs Jesus Jesus the first lovely one more time I love Jesus everybody's standing [Music] Jesus Oh we come [Music] Temari Oh he Oh [Music] jeez we [Music] I don't know how you feel but I feel good man I feel good thank God thank God he doesn't keep numbers and he talks about loving away with love thinketh no evil love you thinketh no evil have you ever thought for one minute you know maybe you know I think weird sometimes but but if you could just extricate a quantity like love and separated from the the nuances and the the contamination of the human you know if you could take him in and put it in someone who was totally pure I wonder would it be what it would what would it look like if into somebody totally pure love thinketh no evil I don't know first thing I don't think you come home too late yeah you know where you been you know that the qualities the qualities what I'm feeling is that the quality it's so wonderful like to enjoy the fullness of how wonderful it is you have to change the quality of your heart you really can't enjoy the quality of the beauty of what love is without changing the quality of it you have to be more like God to understand the purity and the beauty of the gifts of the Spirit because somehow we have a way of contaminating everything so as we grow in God we appreciate love and the qualities of the Holy Spirit the gifts of the Spirit you know when somebody says I love you but I sometimes is more dominant than the love if somebody's coming give God somebody else is coming do you feel me love you sometimes the eye is so dominant because the I can only love like I can love it might not be much that's what I'm saying and then it might be overwhelming I mean Who I am and what I am and how I think and how I behave I love you you might give some consideration to it maybe umm you know maybe I'm off but I I mean the thing hit me real hard a while ago when I was considering how much foolishness the Lord puts up with me when he says for God so loved the world and then I love you know you can be problematic too I love you you you it's interesting it's just three words I love you and it'll take your whole lifetime to explain it and somebody says why do you love me and if they can tell you why they probably don't look another point I'm just soliloquizing I'm just having my own time at your expense father as we go go with us bring us back at the right time help us now to get over it we can't redo it we can't fix it we have compensated in every way that we could we want you to take it out of our memory banks not make us insensitive we want to be very sensitive but we don't want to lose our self-esteem and go into the dumps of depression we want to be able to serve you with joy and with gladness help us to get up and make David go in and worship and I can aim it now for everyone here in Jesus name Amen be careful be careful ladies and men they're snatching ladies and men are stoked they're snatching men to on this sex trafficking and taking body parts doctor and I'm right when I say doctor said Gators will be speaking tonight
