of your people let somebody cry out this morning that it was good to be here lord we will not today live the same way that we came so lord i fight against every force that fight against the people of the living god i push back against every adversary every worker of darkness every iniquity every sinful act lord i push them back this morning and lord we declare the victory we declare our atmosphere atmosphere free to worship you an atmosphere god that is saturated that will be saturated with your presence because lord only you can make a difference can we lift our hands in the presence of god everybody hallelujah can we lift our hands and make welcome the holy ghost blessed holy ghost we welcome you this morning blessed holy ghost who rained down on us this morning self will not reign in the kingdom today hallelujah but we will praise the god of our salvation we will praise the true and living god hallelujah we will praise him on the instruments and up we will lift our voices unto god announcements glory god of the upcoming events for the rest of this month and praise god the rest of this week praise god hallelujah so we are looking convocation is set the national convention is set for the 28th of february praise god but before there will be a national week of fasting and prior praise god starting on the 21st of february to the 25th and praise god that we normally have our mount in fast as well so we will join with the national on the 21st through to the 25th for a week of fasting and prayer amen pastor praise god hallelujah so on february 21st through to the 25th national fasting and prayer and our local assembly grangement bethel ark will join in that week of fasting and prayer amen is that clear praise god hallelujah so wednesday anybody know what is happening this wednesday all right so this wednesday on february 16 we normally have bible study but this wednesday pastors set it aside for a members meeting praise god so members meeting will be held that's this wednesday the 16th of february at 5 30 pm in the sanctuary amen and every member of grangement better arc is expected to show up amen praise god on thursday at 5 00 a.m we have morning prior and thursday is allocated as a day of general fasting and prayer for the church amen praise god amen so if you have not yet gotten up one morning i'm imploring you this thursday morning to wake up and join our fasting and prayer and zoom amen praise god friday where are the youths in the house friday praise god we have youth service praise god the young people did a wonderful job last week praise god and they until and they continue to excel for the lord praise god we're happy for them praise god put your hands together for them praise god hallelujah god bless the youth so this friday at 7 30 p.m the youths have youth service praise god and this coming sunday where are the men where are the men praise god so this coming sunday will be meant sunday praise god and normally we always really because it is written that means this is something that is in the torah from in the old testament that some people say is of no good and it is outdated but they refer to it here peter referring to it pentecostal arena dramatic changes some we call u-turn some shifting slightly um by a degree r2 and some just blatantly turned upside down and right about turn and you could never believe that this individual are this group of people are the same group of people that five years ago amen were standing strong having their hope rooted and grounded in the lord jesus christ so what has gone wrong in that time what has caused this shift what has caused someone who have survived many years and had many experiences with god these experiences have never killed them it only made them better what have they heard what have they seen that has convinced them so much that the values that they had many years ago that they have seen rooted and grounded in the word of god is no longer important and it has caused them to turn around and walk in the opposite direction from where they were going the other day i saw um a post amen i had to steal it says that if a hundred years ago something was a sin this here right now right this minute that hundred year our thousand year sin is still sin oh god of mercy how can you ratify sin a thousand years ago and this year it's no longer seen explain that what are you going to use to explain that to me if that very thing displeased god then why is it not going to displease god no so therefore something is dramatically wrong with the individual or the group of people who think that that 100 thousand year thing that is a sin then is not i say no something is wrong with that individual not with god because there is no error in god oh lord have mercy so therefore it means then that something is wrong with the individual i have to just keep it there something has gone wrong there is a saying that greener is not always better oh lord people come from countries sometimes they are on this side of the mountain i mean i look over the other side it looks green but when you journey from here and you reach over that side that your thought was green you see more dry grass than anything else so greener is not always better and i think that these individuals have got tricks somewhere along the line because they it seems as if over the other side looks greener people start peep over the fence because god is not coming true for them in dear time and so because brother john over the other side seems to be prospering i have to go over there i have to find out what else are doing and so whatsoever brother john is doing i am willing to do that because i want greener postures and i will ignore the pattern laid out by god in order to be successful and i will just go with what brother john is doing it seem to work faster and i want to get there right now if i have a step one two people forget over the fence they may go step on them and go over the fence because over that side seems greener my teacher rabbi dr clinton dennis he once said that and i quote you are not old-fashioned you are not old-fashioned you are just maintaining the fashion of all oh god i said you are not old-fashioned you are just maintaining the fashion of all oh god of mercy where has your values gone something has eroded your values to the point where you are going to shift from the core values that god has instilled in you i know boy not a world fashion no uno can move with the time uno cares shift with the time the shifting is what is causing the problem if jesus said be he holy for i am holy what happened today know that we're going to say something else so i would say that do not shift from the truth where is the truth the truth is right here in the word of god the bible said don't add or don't take away from his word and so if you say that you must be holy and holiness unto god is what is watchword and sung don't change it don't rearrange it don't shift it don't cut it do not trim it [Music] the thing that is messing us up as children of god many of us don't believe that people are watching us can i talk to you i am foolish enough at some point in my life to believe that people did not know who i was yeah man me someone i was foolish enough to think that people were not watching me our people did not know who i was but when you shift one degree somebody immediately recognize ah who that hello i said people are watching us and so back in the days we have to say back in the days now back in the days people could know who a pentecostal is [Applause] and those who are out in the world were pining after how we look and how we dress and how we behave and wanted to be like us and therefore we found out that persons used to be drawn not to us but drawn to god because of what we were displaying our lifestyle something shifted we say don't shift from the truth because when you shift from the truth can you imagine in other words you do not give a purse now i would say all right boys give them an inch if you give them a inch they are going to take a hundred miles and so because of many reasons including people and their congregation to get big people want to collect wally afrin and saw them start oh well somehow she parting a little bit [Applause] [Music] this this thing that god said should be like this upright you must stand up straight so boy it's them people my brother giant fans look like a thing i've gone over and from the moment they shift our degree oh lord god have mercy can you imagine if our pastor edmund souza of have been eroded people don't want to live by the word they want to twist the word to fit what they want to do and they brutally takes and make a deduction out of it and cause people who are pining after the things of the world to shift from where they are you shouldn't do that still but they shift from there and go there why because you are offering something that they need or they are craving after much of the business and the church is in disarray today because somebody probably went to their bed and got a dream that the only way because when i'm checking it out enough tides now coming the only way we can get some of these people we have to go down to freedom level that's a new talk but i have a good one to them level in order to get them i have to go down to the level i have to drop this standard i have to drop my values to go down to the level i beg your beg them to come you don't need to beg them leave us god ask you and tell you to live people will follow you don't shift and start to go down to the level because once you start to go down to your level i want to build a can you imagine to my mind in brother p decided well i'm going to put a plastic bag and get into that so the world is doing it and we are following that is not what's supposed to happen we are the ones who should influence the world but the world is such a influence on us and that is why we have this massive shift massive shift everybody wants to be like and so hundred years ago when something was wrong it rang again because boy such as such as such is doing it it's a modern era and we have to change from the old landmark i'm going to do what the others are doing i have not seen that in the word of god no values so in this day and age if you have no values you are the man and you are the woman because then i have no values you have no standards you are the man that massive shift in the world wrong become right and right becomes wrong oh lord i can tell you many of them who have twisted and shifted and turned with the anticipation of a massive influx of people them still are weird the people have not come yet [Music] and once you start to shift you're going to continue shifting until jesus come you have to keep adjusting to fit the lifestyle of the people and to keep them there right so therefore liquor from this you see somebody up here belly skin and where call it and that is a normal there is no angel in heaven that are going to find in non-belly skin i never see one yet but i can't tell you there's no angel in heaven on belly skin no mini no tight pants or anything like that the the priesthood was told to be modest in their attire and god tell them what to wear there was a benchmark set in terms of modesty all you have to do is to follow that and keep been eroded something wrong something is wrong listen to the definition of value according to the oxford dictionary i've attacked on four definitions here one says the regard that something is held to deserve the importance worth or usefulness of something what's the second one i like is the second definition i like listen to this one value is defined as principles are standards of behavior one's judgment of what is important in life and i'm not reading another one so therefore because people's values have been eroded you realize all the people act how people think and how people behave the things that are important to them in this life so you have difficulty with persons coming um prayer meeting bible study sunday school and this the things that are important to them in this life god is not in it so the whole world is now gauged on likes if you have enough likes then you are important in this world today if your likes is copper thousand then you are the man and you are the woman you know if you have not not talked about you just have some likes afraid i have a number of likes then people say boy you know i said i'm on the important you know much likes him you see how much fuse how much he likes how much whatever i'm have that is what people look at now somebody will argue with me and say why how much likes you have you know much likes me up in other words he's saying to you that look here you're not not important as i am they have no values they have nothing about them but the likes and this is what our people are gravitating towards and so before they try to know god and know more about him and draw close to him they're drawing closer to the media's the social medias and trying to get more likes you don't have to say man i'm good with that so therefore what are your principles like what are your standards like what do you gauge your standards and your principles off is it off your neighbor is it of your co-worker is it of your friends is it half brother john who is next door or is that all gazed off the word of god remember that we are not like the others or let me say we should not be like the others so therefore if you are eternal bible is the first peter too let me not be tony bush first peter 2 and verse nine first peter 2 9 says but ye are a chosen generation a royal priesthood a holy nation a peculiar people oh lord have mercy that is what children show forth the praises of him not them of him who have called you out of darkness into his marvelous light so if he called you and if he took you out of darkness and put you into what his oh jesus into his marvelous light know him if you respect know him every father who you want go in the other spotlight some of us is discolored to one going oh god your light is blue and green already jacob was a plain man dwelling in tents and isaac loved esau because he did eat of his venison but rebecca loved jacob and jacob said portage and isa came from the field and he was faint and he thought said to jacob feed me i pray thee with that same red portage for i am faint therefore was his name called edom and jacob said sell me this day thy birthright and esau said behold i am at the point to die and what prophet shall this birthright do to me and jacob said swear to me this day and he swear unto him and he sold his birthright unto jacob then jacob gave isa bread and pottage and lentils and he did eat and drink and rose up and went his way thus esau despised his birthright this is a very famous passage of scripture and i know it is women sunday but here is a very very good example of how an individual takes care of regards to something that is most important to them now in in jewish culture and in many other cultures the firstborn is the one who is going to inherit most of get most of the inheritance it is understood the first is going to get it but if we look a few verses up the bible did say that the younger the older is going to serve the younger god said it in his word and the fact that the word of god said that the older is going to serve the younger then even if it didn't happen this way it was going to happen another way but the older was going to serve the younger let's leave that there now jacob and and again we talk about names and and importance of names they did not just give children names like that so the bible said that when um their mother was pregnant with the boys she had a lot of distress with these boys problem in our womb so jewish commentators would say that when rebecca was walking by the the temple there would have been a certain movement in our belly no it can be said that jacob was the one who was moving up and down while she was passing out when she go into the temple to worship but anytime rebecca was passing where those um where they have um idol worshipping take place rupturing her belly [Applause] she could not understand what was taking place and so she saw the lord what is happening i can't understand what is happening and the bible said that two nations are in your womb and so when it was time for her to give birth there was a struggle for the children to come out like crab in a barrel one fighting to come out first nevertheless isa came forth first and the bible said that he was what he was hearing he was red and hence he got the name isa which means hearing right and the bible here talks about edom which is linked to his red look that he had probably it's not red like oh this is red but red so these names are descriptive of the child and that here a child has some demonic attachments to him and so you find out that isa he went and married to the hittites who his father told him do not marry to those people over there he disobeyed and he went and he murdered them and out of that lineage came all this kind of idol worshiping and sacrificed to this sacrifice so that it came right from there now after esau came out they found that one hand grabbed onto the heel and so jacob is known as what the heel catcher the heel grabber the heel grasper and hence he got the name jacob which means he is what a supplanter that catching and grabbing onto the hill you know what that this did um the pricks is that he's the one who's going to take charge he's going to cease so you'll understand how this it seems like the wrong thing that was done but names determine one's character determine one's destiny don't just get up and name your child because it sounds good and your calling a certain name because it sounds good and other people's children have that name and it's so good i need to rhyme with your last name and then when you give the child that name your ends up problem no stop here so if you check out the name names carry meanings and these children are going to live up to the meanings of their names you don't believe if you go back a few chapters abram a b r abram before the promise that god gave abram could be enacted his name had to be changed genesis 17 you shall no longer be called abraham exalted father but you are now going to be called abraham father of many nations your name have changed to fit your character to fit what god wants to happen or to come through you one more i think it's numbers chapter 13 now before moses departed from the scene god called moses and said go and call o shia son of none and you change his name he shall no longer be called oshia but he shall no be called joshua why the change of name it is joshua which is synonymous with jesus which is synonymous with savior and that is why joshua is the one that took the children of israel into the promised land because his name qualified him to take them into the promised land moses his name means drawn out and moses lived up to his name god appointed him to take the children of israel out of egypt he took them out of egypt everybody understand so therefore if you look at the firstborn of abraham which was ishmael ishmael did not receive the firstborn blessing he could not receive the firstborn blessing because he was not the promised seed the promised seed that god said was supposed to come from abraham and sarah so therefore as much as he was kicking up and going on i'm miss supposed to get me at the first one yes you are the first one but you are not the promised seed god's word did not say that the promise is going to come through you so abraham had to give them gifts and send them away god don't make mistake i don't see why no you want to change the word of god you can't change it the same values that the people have all lived we're supposed to live by the same thing same values you don't trim it now here these two boys came on the scene and one the firstborn esau he was supposed to get the blessing but of course my daddy the troublemaker made sure that at the point when isaac said to isa go and seek for game and come back because i am going to bless you made sure that rebecca was right there to here come here jacob why am i just here daddy saying go and bless jesus so guess what most of our thoughts are going to fix it up because that boy don't business with non-white market he has no concern for what he's going to get let us fix it up it seemed very wrong but nevertheless the word of god did say that the older was going to serve the younger even after uh jacob went in and receive the blessing you hear the question what did he ask he figured it was not him he questioned he questioned him something never seemed right and he run the test what was the test that he ran the character that the boys kept the hearing one come here let me feel you i didn't feel that he said all right minutes are convinced still but this this feel like you and the smell of the game so guess what all right blessing blessing drop once a blessing went out it cannot be retracted oh lord cannot be retracted and hence jacob the younger received the blessing and isa did not he got some blessing but it was not what he was supposed to get let me put it that way right now let me just zero in on the last portion of this chapter where isa came in from the field in short let's put it away came in from the feeling hunger busting shot jacob he was
