Baldur's Gate 3 - Patch 3 vs Patch 2 Performance (BIG FPS INCREASE!)

patch 3 for Baldur's Gate 3 just launched and with it comes a huge amount of changes and improvements the patch notes state that there has been performance improvements especially in act 3 in Baldur's Gate so let's test the performance with the new update and see if it's finally fixed starting with the CPU performance in act 3 the performance has noticeably increased especially during movement which is where it matters most and if you look at the one percent low it has improved significantly as well leading to a much smoother experience this update is a game changer the CPU performance has increased by around 25 to 30 percent making act 3 much more bearable to play CPU performance now seems just slightly underwhelming instead of what it was before let's just hope that the updates keep coming and performance continues to improve looking further at the Telemetry we can see that vram has slightly decreased while the RAM usage has decreased by one gigabyte this makes me really interested to check out the performance on the steam deck when I get it since the total vram and RAM usage notes it's more comfortably under the 16 gigabytes of the steam decks also while not forgetting the main major CPU performance improvements now let's move over to the GPU performance and see if it has improved there seems that GPU performance has slightly increased here not bad but not great either I really expected more GPU performance with this update but hey a small performance increase is better than none it seems that performance has increased more considerably than the average frame rate by around 10 percent which now makes me really satisfied with the GPU performance as well foreign
