Baldur's Gate 3 [Steam Deck OLED 512]

this is Boulders Gate 3 running on the steam deck OLED I changed it from AMD FSR 1.0 to AMD FSR 2.2 and [Music] balanced this is at the 60 HZ in game mode and the frame limit is set to 90 [Music] FPS for some comparison this is changing the refresh rate to 90 yeah they both look pretty good to me I do want to show you quickly why I moved away from 1.1 going back to 60 for stock settings 1.1 balanced [Music] frame time is good everything is pixelated back to 2.2 I have a face again and that stuttering is not happening on the deck the stuttering is the recording St uh the camera the frame rate's not lining up something it's not happening in person anyway yeah Boulders Gate 3 it actually seems really genuinely playable even up close it's getting a pretty solid 60 plus I would cap it at 60 personally which actually let's do that right now yeah capping it at 60 is the way to go see what capping this to 60 does along with it oo that's oh well we had a dip to 47 there H nope 90 90 was better because then when it dips to 47 it feels like less of a dip because it's half of that 90 90 is the way 90 is the way it feels much more stable at 90 yeah this this feels much more stable yeah holders Gate 3 totally playable pretty close to 60 settings are just default I didn't tweak anything outside of the FSR 2.2 well and the frame cap at the end but definitely frame cap it and 2.2 it fun little tidbit while plugging in Boulder's Gate I noticed noticed that there is an enable vrr uh mode my capture card is not a vrr capture card but there is an enable vrr mode also this looks terrible compared to what the screen on the actual system looks like it's a trip I know this is a little bit weird doing them sideways like this but it fits better in the screen to see the comparison screenshots crop in just a little bit because I don't have Boulders gate currently installed on the LCD I figur the next best thing to color to color to show the color differences was to just take a screenshot here we have side by side same shot specifically look at the blues up here OLED is on my left and the LCD is on the right I think it looks more true to life on the left um we can do a closer look up here and LCD all right we're going to check out a couple more just quickly and same scene just a screenshot got the OLED down here and the LCD up here again note the blues and greens specifically some in menu stuff showing off some of the darker Spots I'm going to switch the orientation real quick just so that the room lighting is not taken into account so now the OLED is on this side and then finally again OLED is on the right now I'll do another closeup of this one so you let's go LCD first LCD first not the greens outline around Aion the outline is actually probably the most consistent part but it still seems more vibrant here this is the OLED hopefully that was in-depth enough I I just don't have enough space with all of the different projects I've been doing I just did a cyberpunk video um which I'm also editing currently it'll be out soon anyway thanks so much for watching there will be more don't forget to subsscribe
