Baldur's Gate 3: Fun Facts with Larian

game like I spend days just on Wikipedia like how much does a horse weigh like weird things like that just uh have fun with it um heaviest thing in the game is the end boss I don't want to say what it is but I think he weighs uh I think I made him a hundred thousand kilos so it was like was that like 200 000 pounds uh pretty hefty you can't throw him too big um and the lightest thing in the game is an incense stick a couple of grams maybe is it remarkable how much pushing is important now to Boulder Escape three like I'm even hearing this like come up like Bill now this is going to be a thing that's going to happen to everyone who's playing d d can I take the shove action we'll probably invade tabletop d d because of it being a bonus action yeah I'm interested to see where shove goes I'm already seeing players um like tweet about like hey in my camera we started shoving stuff everywhere and pissing our DM off um I have enjoyed that um and again like seeing like the content creator sort of like talk about the rules changes like um even last night jet lags ended up watching um like XP to level three's like video about talking about our rules it's really cool to see these like content creators that I watched that started development like what do they think about Barbarian like watching their videos are now talking about the game I work on it's so weird it's like we've come full circle now I talk about the weight of dinosaurs no one really knows how much a dinosaur weighs oh did you figure that out I had to take like approximations based on like how big it is compared to like real world animals um so for fantasy creatures I did a lot of like guessing like uh but I did actually Source books there's like so many like random whites in the source books yeah um some I don't agree with uh let's do a cat with what's your favorite improvised weapon because I saw someone actually fighting people with sausages oh yeah we we added like the salami you could use as just as a weapon that's not even an improvised weapon yeah we just went right fine just straight salami yeah there was um that was one that came from the players it feels like there should be an achievement for that I can't change them now yeah next game patch number three one of my personal ones I've not seemed to use too often yet is um with a healing potion you can use that as an improvised weapon you can just smash it on someone's deal them I know the throw got really popular but there's something special about having a barbarian just like smash a potion on someone like I don't know how healing works just take this that's fair that's fair do you have like a top five weirdest things you should be trying to do in Boulders gate 3. okay smashing potions on head that's definitely one bus Kings another one um but don't take don't be a Bard or don't take the Entertainer just do it shitly it's amazing just like watching people like disgusted with you yeah things you can still use that to like distract guards just like get your Barbarian who doesn't know how to play an instrument to sit there with a loop just like and just watching the disgust on NPC's faces just like walking by and just use that to go like start stealing stuff of historian perfect the owl bear um Luchador kind of playthrough where you get an owl bear and you do the uh it's a heroic leap I forgot my name but it's really bad of me to forget the Spells but um just having an aloe vera jump off the top of buildings and just dealing a thousand damage was fantastic I think I think when this game designers like you start off with this kind of like I don't want things to break I don't want things to break but I think in Boulder's Gate we very much we want to see things break we want people to kind of like play with the sandbox and kind of pull off these crazy things so I wasn't expecting to see our bear jumping off buildings as like a key Strat to beating some bosses but I love that and other ones as well we've seen players like play of the system so getting a chest stuffing it full of smoke powder throw the chest set the chest on fire just because he's like Mega explosions and like clear out rooms it was so fun to see someone like the end game bosses beating in Just Stupid Ways it's gonna sound horrible yes but you can get if you have a range of friends and they summon their animal I we did internal tests and the Ranger kept summoning companions they're just like they really liked this cat and I kept throwing the cat it was like just using them as a weapon just throwing this cat around throwing the cat yeah let's get throwing the cat no like leave whiskers alone I'm just like they're being like dialogue scenes and I'll just be annoying and just like shove people off chasms like mid dialogue it's like no I wanted to be good this play through foreign
