oh my god Kathy is that you Nancy it's a people while have you been I've been good I'm just here picking up Jamie from science class no kidding is he in the same advanced science class as my Simon oh no it's just regular old science not advanced regular science that's too bad I pushed Simon to take all of the advanced classes so he can get into med school when he's older anyway we're gonna be trying out for the basketball team when he gets here is Jamie trying out for the team my Jamie but no he's not that any basketball he's actually more into art instead I mean I try not to force him to do anything you know are you serious I mean Simon doesn't like basketball either but to get into a good med school you have to have more than just good grades so I force him to enroll in karate basketball baseball football and tennis and is that what Simon wants to go to medical school to become a doctor no actually he hates the idea he wants to be an artist what mother would allow their child to be an artist I mean there's no money in that no he is going to be an A+ student a champion athlete and a top doctor wouldn't you want that for your child well for me what's most important is for my son to be happy happy are you serious let me give you some parenting advice actually a mother who would allow her child to become an artist probably wouldn't understand hey hey look what I drew for you today well let's see what we have here honey this is amazing you know what as a reward how about for the rest of the day we do whatever you want yes does that mean we can go to the Art Gallery today you will of course whatever you want baby you're the best I'll wait for you out the car love you mom I love you too Wow whatever he wants what kind of a mother lets their child do whatever he wants it's no wonder he's in regular classes you know what I don't force my kid to enroll in advanced classes because whether it's a regular class or advanced class this mom couldn't possibly be any more proud and I don't make my kids sign up for things that he doesn't like because whether he's into sports or just drawing pictures of his mom I just want him to be happy and it doesn't matter to me whether he becomes a doctor or an athlete or an artist all that matters to me is that he loves what he does and that he's a good person through it all I don't force my son to do things that he doesn't love I want him to know that as long as he's happy and I'm happy Wow you obviously know nothing about raising a child hey mom I'm really tired do you think we could see it basketball tryouts skip basketball how do you expect to get into med school if you don't make the basketball team but mom I don't want to go to med school I can't go to art school I am your mother and I know what's best for you no you don't I don't want to take all these classes and play all these sports I just want to draw and have fun with my friends but you won't even let me do that you can watch your tongue I hate you I hate my life I wish you were my mom here's some parenting advice actually a mother who doesn't care about her son's happiness understand it was good seeing the Cathy we live in this social media generation where everyone is so competitive with one another to the point that even moms and dads are trying to compete with each other for who can raise the best children but often while parents are so busy competing with each other the only person who ends up losing is the child some parents keep their kids so busy because they want to be a trophy mom or dad who has an A+ student a champion athlete and get into a certain college but they don't even take time to ask what does their kid want sometimes it's important to let kids be kids as much as it's great to keep kids as busy as possible make sure to also let them enjoy their childhood and do things that they really love because at the end of the day when the kid becomes an adult the only thing that will matter more than whether their doctor a lawyer or a champion athlete is that they're happy hey what's up YouTube fam it's dar I hope you love that message now it's time for some shout outs and giveaway winners this time on Instagram we've got glam up web on Facebook we've got Bonnie to buy and on YouTube we've got let's see Richard Sandu plays each one of you guys just want $100 anyone can enter my giveaways all the details are pinned at the top of my comments good luck to you guys and I'll see you in the next video [Music] you
