[Music] [Music] so [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] so and we're live yes whoo it is uh st patrick's day happy st patrick's day you day to you aaron go bra right isn't that yeah love of ireland no what is aaron gobra it's uh is it love ireland for the love of ireland it's something like that yeah i see some people in the chat uh listen before we get started this is probably one of the most interesting sponsors that i've ever had here on the channel my producer david tobin has a friend that works at pete's coffee they got in contact with him because they were very interested in what we're doing and helping enable us to do it he said well do you want to sponsor a stream with some coffee why don't we get started and they were all about that so not so if you go to pete's.com p-e-e-t-s dot com petes.com and you shop 15 off your order across the entire site for the next 30 days using code 3dpn it's amazing plus because they wanted to get things started the right way they said joel we'd like to give away 50 pounds of coffee on your stream shipped anywhere in the world 50 different winners one pound a piece that's fair right that's fair yeah so anyway anyway there's a link in the description please please please go there click on it it gets you entered in for some pete's coffee and i've i've been watching the comments and everybody everybody's like pizza's yummy even practical printing chris was like whoa pete's yeah pete's pizza is awesome and obviously we're going to get some pete's coffee here because i enjoy coffee uh max franco ours50 with 50. hey man how are you going to be staying for a bit hope you're having a good night well welcome i hope you're having a good night as well thanks for staying for a little bit we're going to get this out of the box have some fun don't forget to click that link and get entered to win pete's coffee so the 50 pounds of coffee one pound per person 50 winners uh they said they'll ship it anywhere in the world how cool is that um before we get started though uh dave randolph pete's better than starbucks it's very true uh before we get started though uh i have a cup and i have an ice cold can of guinness i think normally it's it's hydration and caffeination but being at st patrick's day uh the day when all amateurs get to drink alcohol professionals drink on all the other days i figured it'd be okay to have a guinness kenneth hendershot with a 20 10 for you and 10 for seattle children's they have saved my boy several times and love them well kenneth like we well first of all thank you so much it's incredibly kind of you but anything that for me on this if you say it's for children's uh i'll give it to children's and that other ten i'd love to give to children's as well if that's okay with you builders mark with a tenor for shakes or tacos after the stream appreciate you i appreciate you you're uh you're a wonderful human and i always enjoy our interactions uh sean yeah sean is irish yeah like a lot so get in here come on crack a can with me i think it's only appropriate no i'm gonna do it no no no no no no turn the light on it's not a bra uh so listen these are nitrogenated for smoothness so we crack these oh yeah i like that so then the little capsules with nitrogen on the inside tend to uh nitrogenate the coffee yeah and uh you spilled it i sure did luckily we have paper towels we do i don't drink much so i don't know what i'm doing you kind of poured it right yeah i mean it's in plastic so it's uh but look at it you could just i love that that's the good part let me get on the other camera jeez but anyway uh happy st patrick's day to everybody uh if you do choose to enjoy a beverage please do so responsibly that's good there you go obviously uh guinness is always best from a tap well yeah we just can't do that at the moment um do i have any paper towels anywhere in the the resin fungi no wait i have paper towels over here nice i did spill just a little bit that's okay well listen once pete's gets the coffee here uh i guarantee you i will be enjoying that on camera because it is super yummy delicioso oh my goodness i am missing some of uh these super chats here let me let me go back and just make sure let's see forrest rogers 9.99 are you out of your mind representing washington state i am as well i am as well tmc 3d with a tenor finally caught a live stream well welcome i'm glad you could join us thank you for that tenor we did go with you thanks for the content justin richie with a 10. thanks for the donation that's really kind of you i appreciate that there we go chipped builds for the 25 fives spreading that skimmy money also helped sean paint his 3d prints someone's on my tweet he does need to paint his 3d prints uh was that the one with the the poop the grape and then the poorly painted poo yes okay uh we put that right there let's dispose of that so listen uh caffeination and hydration typically but for tonight cheers any one of those mustache protectors no you don't just embrace it embrace it i usually do that yeah yeah i think yeah 361 of you in here again go to the link let's see if i can do this ready ready ready be sure you go to the link enter to win 50 winners each getting a pound of coffee anywhere in the world from pete's the sponsor today that's pretty cool you know honestly let's let's be real with ourselves right now having pizza as a sponsor that's like next level like if there were levels that is the next one that is a level that i would like to be on one day obviously it'll be like sponsored by tesla enter to win five teslas no boy that'd be fun wouldn't it oh yeah i mean it would be four because i would steal one would you yeah i'd steal one too i really want a tesla three so listen this is the artillery hornet a an i3 style 3d printer with a curious connection to the hot end uh we'll get into it and you'll get to see it but um it's a it's an all-in-one sort of connection all the electronics and the filament all go through it inside we have styrofoam steven russell with a 50 hot diggity stephen russell share the stimulus that's right stimulus checks are being direct deposited now across the the us and so hopefully a lot of people uh are putting it to good use and getting some things that they need i did not use my stimulus money for uh guinness i use my youtube money okay bag of stuff let's see what's in this bag of stuff oh okay so in typical artillery fashion the sd card sd card reader usb usb stick allen keys a wrench stuff like that it's it's like their their thing uh the spool holder is injection molded looks like two injection molded parts and then screwed together now i'm curious because now i'm curious to find a screwdriver in my drawer of wonders maybe not but i i was looking at it and i couldn't tell if those screws were were real i thought they were part of the injection molding process but it looks like two halves put together i think those are real screws here's what we're talking about sean gotta get a close-up right here okay look at that so the connector has a place for pins to be inserted and then this bowden tube carries the filament so the filament and the electronics go through a single cable which so i'm on the fence on this because uh i i don't know if that's entirely proper but what's interesting the bowdoin tube you never want to take too much of a turn because you're pushing filament through it and too much of a turn could break the filament or cause binding and so putting putting the electronics in the same wire wrapper of the filament ensures that it's not going to um it's not going to be compressed or it's not going to take too hard of a turn so that that's kind of interesting oh i got a i think that's is that tripod there yeah 9.99 tripods garage first frosty beverage well a pete's coffee getting my horn in about two weeks pretty excited i'm excited for you as well i am excited for you as well um it's it's actually packaged quite well if if i could do that let's see yeah you can see that it's packaged pretty well uh did i put it down too soon yeah it's fine sorry fine at least we have it on the white uh inside is a checklist and oh look at this a printed instruction manual with color is it color on the inside with color on the inside nice this is a nice touch i know um i mean if we think about instruction manuals with 3d printers the prusa ones are usually probably some of the best but this is a full color stiff paper instruction manual full of images that's just that's cool i appreciate that bye aha here is the hot end it's super yellow have a look here this is this is bumble bee yellow yeah wow and look at there's the pins right on top that that special cable connects to interesting have a look on the other side so the uh the heater cartridge the thermistor and the fans all connect to this breakout board right here which means uh switching them out could be easy it depends but uh i kind of like that i like that as long as the wires are rated for what they're for uh for the fans i believe so for the heater cartridge i'm not sure they do look a little bit fatter a little thicker right there which they should carry the voltage just fine i would hope so uh i am not an electronics engineer so i cannot say for sure whether or not those are the right rated wires that's a tongue twister but uh i've seen this printer work before so hopefully it works well this fan shroud is injection molded and it is a brilliant yellow that is that's yellow that is a lot of yellow oh someone i gotta go over here bst channel with the fiber did you print and say did you print and saint oh did you print any st patrick's day prince no i did not uh we we thought about doing a st patrick's day episode um but then we we just didn't have the right we've been really busy and it was it it would have been a struggle to add that in and we wanted to kind of play it by ear and so with this stream i just kind of wanted to chill stream shawn and i are hanging out here trying to give you something pretty awesome and enjoying a guinness i hope you guys are enjoying your evening as well and so that's our st patrick's day celebration we're also bringing it to you a little bit earlier i know chris brillo is streaming right now on twitch he streams shoot every day at 6 00 pm he's a wonderful creator kobe lacks also fantastic djs they're over on twitch as well and so if you can have us up at the same time or if you can switch between us or something like that i would highly suggest you do so oh look at this do not remove before finish assembly yeah that's hot probably to uh to protect the bed that would be my guess remember chris proudly as a new member hey chris proudly thanks for becoming a member um what one of the things that's interesting about us taking printers out of boxes here uh this bench is very tall compared to a normal table a lot of people when assembling machines are probably doing it on a kitchen table or you know a table that's a little bit lower and so i don't i try to give the best experience of taking it out of the box but sometimes it's just not possible but it's at my eye level one day we'll have a mounted camera on the ceiling one day one fine day let's see trevor f smith with two bucks and the uh the hands the praise emoji the praise emoji is that what that that's what that is sure uh mr mad dog 69 with 9.99 are you out of your mind are you printing in any green filament i am and i can't show it to you yet a lot of green filaments i just can't show them to you yet i'm sorry they're they're for projects upcoming and uh stuff that's under nda i think like right now for like tonight for like this stream on this green filament yeah we could do that okay i think it's a good idea yeah yeah yeah i like that sean sean commented saying we should print green filament on this for the stream i mean obviously we already have enough yellow so we probably we could go with the uh the green filament i think that's a dandy idea oh that was on camera too oh man missed a moment i missed the moment you look like oh it's okay there will be others you think that wow that's yellow like bumblebee holy cow and then get out this just just look at that just check that out beautiful wow just make sure there's nothing else in here that's a big box obviously adornments like this on your 3d printer aren't necessarily going to make it work better but you know what it looks awesome and i like it a plus for style i'm i like it let's let's take let's take a look under the covers can we okay looks like that is okay now i gotta find my screwdriver sean would you check over on the table of truth and wonder to see if there's a phillips head screwdriver over there got it i mean joey pomeroy first grade print with 20 bucks so for the neptune 2 uh i forget was it trevor should be one in there yeah there is they bought the first print uh off that but i'm using that print for the review so i can't send them the print yet until i get the review done builder's mark with a tenor ten more for ceiling-mounted camera fund so one uh one of the people who i really enjoy on youtube is brian vines he is the the master of dad jokes and he put out a great video talking about um the uh ferrule ends on wires so sometimes what people will do is they will get um braided wire and put it into a terminal block and screw it down and that's not the best connection especially for things with power so if you put a ferrule over the wire and crimp it then it is a singular metal piece that you're clamping into the terminal block and you talked about that for 3d printers and so what we're going to do is take a look at this machine and see how their power situation is and thanks to that video from brian vines i think that's something that i'll probably do more chris probably with a 50 you and sean are awesome keep up the good work can't forget david i really appreciate that sean is awesome david who is in los angeles at the moment he is awesome as well i think we have a really good team here and uh i can't i can't wait to to show you stuff we have planned for the future we've got places to go and people to see i would uh oh yes i would say we're seeing some people this sunday a little tease that's right a tease we do have some people this sunday people that uh if you don't know you should know stephen russell new member thank you so much i just don't want to if it's clamped in or something there we go get it yeah i just had to it had some stuff just kind of keeping it in you know with injection molded pieces uh you can put little little um clamps or uh bracket things you can put things in so these things hold against this thing we're very technical here look at this okay sean make sure you get a shot of this please i mean i'm already on it well good job so we've got the power supply right here uh i'll point with a screwdriver thank you so we've got the power supply here yeah there's all the wires and they actually have ends on them to screw in and they are proper here on the power plug and if you look over here on the terminal blocks they also have their rules that's awesome good for you guys thank you for doing that that it's a safer way to connect a wire and it ensures that there's a good chance the printer won't fail because of something like that hey dave howie canadian 1299 are you out of your mind canadian 1299 is 10 bucks u.s brilliant at some point everybody go to brian vines channel and watch the video on the fair rules it's it's wonderful and uh i think more people need to see it just snap in right yeah yeah [Music] just snap it in just snap it in you're missing some snaps that looks a little bowed there does it yeah i gotta snap it in i gotta snap it in i don't know if i was supposed to take it apart but you know why not power supply is chang-lang i don't know what that power supply is set to 115 volts too so oh good yeah we're good there people typically asking where am i where am i putting that just give it the full joel i gave it a fractional jewel and it seemed to forgive yeah let's get a little warm in here should we turn it yeah can we turn that that yeah do you want to hit that warm i mean warm i'm still warm are you warm i did just eat a sub with buffalo sauce and jalapenos on it what do you think go to 72. tell me what you're sure uh you know you don't always have to check your printer to see if uh that's there but if you just take it out of the box it's in a position that's perfect for you to do some exploration and frankly to learn more about it the more you know about this the better you will be at operating it and the easier it will be for you to troubleshoot any problems in the future there we go practical printing 9.99 first print and sean has to model it oh chris put a link chris i can't look at links what are you doing to me what are you doing to me i'm going to keep tidy and i'm going to put my screwdrivers away i ended in a drawer oh listen um it's been a little bit it's been a hot moment we did some work be sure to grab your beverage next to you if it's caffeinated or hydrating in any way good luck to you today is st patrick's day aaron go bro why didn't we tap it's a cheat i don't know you're the one who does it it tastes so good it tastes so good it tastes it tastes so good uh okay we're gonna follow the directions i am not gonna tom sand ladder of these i will actually follow these i love tom i i love tom so there you go he stayed at my house before and obviously once uh once the cove is over uh we're gonna do some more stuff together it looks like oh look at that right there there's a piece of styrofoam protecting the lead screw i like that that's great i like but i'm going to remove it because i'm crazy uh let's see so the front is going to go this way i would imagine i think uh yeah yeah that's the front okay oh this is one of those things so we've got to get the first one in and then it'll hold it yeah yeah you know oh i might not be doing things in the right order i mean i'm following the directions but i probably should have got these out sooner yes all the pieces stay on target there we go nice it's going in just don't drop it inside the printer i can't it's all sealed up what's the build volume on this is this like a uh center three of size i believe it's under three in size yeah yeah it's it's very similar it's it's the there's a two in front of all the axes gotcha there we go that's it this is where we cut vines 5.99 you're out of your mind hi joel this is an interesting little printer and yes i'm out of my mind there he is brian i just name checked you bob carnes with a 15. oh no did brian not hear my kind words oh that's sad brian's a wonderful dude seriously and he's got glorious locks of hair like can confirm like legit welcome to the bv 3d channel that's that's what brian vines does and you are watching bv3d so good it's so good i'm allowed to fanboy right yes oh hey what comes out of midnight sean justice league that's right snyder cut four hours of it right i'm excited yeah i'll be asleep more than likely but i kind of want to start it i'm tired yeah i'm i'm not i'm not doing i'm watching the whole thing i'm watching i'm gonna find a four-hour block and just watch the whole thing where can you find a four-hour block of time probably tomorrow night between midnight and 4am [Laughter] sean helped my wife and i move a couch today so he is uh he's a wonderful human and everybody should tell sean how awesome he is listen it wasn't just a couch though like it was a sectional in a house that had a tiny hallway and a tiny doorway and it took us like an hour away to get the whole sectional out we had to remove doors wait wait wait michelle pie five bucks for joel telling lipo hex driver fun i have some good hex drivers they're just uh they're on the other table and so uh plus plus there's some sort of uh it just feels good to build a printer with the tools that came with it like if a company sends you the right tools to build their machine and you can do it and it's not too difficult there's something special about that it is a printer with a single lead screw which means chuck halabuck will love it he just removes lead screws he just takes lead screws like if like the tooth fairy likes teeth chuck hello buck likes uh lead screws legit i went to his house and i left with one less lead screw yeah but you had all your teeth though i did have a lot so that's good that's good and we did clean a bed with alcohol we did drinking alcohol not rubbing everybody take a sip please that's really tasty honestly it's really really tasty yeah it's the best way to consume goodness there's some there's some chats coming in hold on stephen dowdle with uh nz2 what's in new zealand it could be new zealand yeah thank you for that are you gonna make a boron yes at some point it's in my mind of things i want to do uh krenin6977 no with five good day joel is today the day for the fabled star wipe is it no archangel that's right cilantro cilantro you gotta do cilantro i'll do that next time okay so there's that's right it's bowden so here's your extruder motor this is the z motor um that's your watch was my watch well david's telling me to don't let people forget about the sponsor so pete's coffee is the sponsor and uh thanks to them we're doing this stream but also if you go to their website and you use the code 3dpn you get 15 off the entire site for the next 30 days that's a deal uh plus because they love us and you so much they're giving away 50 pounds of coffee right now through this stream 50 people each win one pound of coffee and they'll ship it anywhere in the world you just have to go to the link in the description and enter that's it that's it that's not bad right no for free coffee i know freak it's free coffee and 50 winners 50 winners yeah what is this christmas i know so spool holder goes i think here okay okay sure we're both like okay let's see oh this is that connected there i don't know i can't see anything i'm sorry well here i'll tell you what let me bring this around so it looks like it's this little now i just have a spoiler in the way okay thank you there we go so it looks like this right here goes up into here and that is the z limit switch mostly a very tight tolerance oh boy that's uh that's tight like i didn't put anything on backwards did i no okay good i was worried uh the price of this david did text me and he said the price the price of this machine is 419 u.s but that's on sale right and well yeah they use the sale tag i think it's appropriate um that is quite uh quite a price or uh uh by grab thar's hammer what a bargain right yes so look at this you don't have to attach any motors so here's the z motor okay and then that's the x motor here or no this is the extrusion motor here's the x motor uh and then the y motors uh buried in back here so yeah right there okay easy to put together i like that okay and then this oh this is how much oh no wait that doesn't go up there that goes right here i know you can't see it sean i mean yes yes yes okay i followed step three step four is oh that is mounting this thing so that's exciting i'm gonna slide this over here and it looks like it takes three screws and it looks like they gave me four just in case that's good yeah that's pretty decent i should probably whatever whatever allen key this uses right very important there we go nice there we go now we're cooking with gas david says 269.78 when sent to us 269 what 78 oh that's even better 269 78. two okay well that's even better okay i i i take back my grab thars hammer alan rickman passed away last year stop feel bad okay so turning these allen keys it's it's not so bad but the bumblebee-esque blue fan shroud does seem to get in the way a little but i pushed through i persevere much like a martian lander did i miss one i don't know no i didn't okay good oh there we go david said in the chat it's 269.78 269 78. oh okay and brian vine says you have to add it to your cart to see the price it shows us 419 which is scary he's got a good point uh tom jackson filament frenzy he's got one of these he's been printing with it uh and the prints look pretty good honestly honestly wow everything's already like sturdy so here we go i'm going to connect up the the cable of truth here it is keyed so isn't it i don't know just put it in there and start spinning it around no no no there it is i see it now i see it now okay i'll go this way don't clip that so just like that and then a connector holy cow i love that it locks i want to love this i really really do i just it needs to perform okay oh it's okay so the cable comes with like a pre-bend to it and so i thought maybe that's what contributed to um the the where you're supposed to put it but i don't know forest rogers 4.99 are you out of your mind a little tip for all the printers in here in the chat you can use hairspray on your print bed to greatly reduce prints that won't stick to your print bed that's funny uh honestly i don't use i don't use hairspray or a lot of additives i use um a clean pei sheet or build tack material uh super 77 on the big machine yeah i know i'm crazy there is a connector up there and i don't know what it's for how's the bed oh she wiggly no not at all nice i know level the build plate okay prepare slicing software oh there is kira on the card on the card nice well here's the thing should i see we'll see we'll see okay i gotta turn it this way so i can look at stuff i'm gonna take the tape off i'll describe what i'm doing slowly joel removes the tape from the left side of the build plate the do not remove before assembly finished piece of paper does come up and then it allows access to the right side which gives way to the piece of tape holding it down beautiful how was that is that good please narrate my life it's got a and uh one of those uh build surfaces that's like a coated glass coated glass this looks like an animal like a toucan right like he's going to come eat oh cereal yeah what's what cereal was toucan sam froo loops man gosh that's good today's cereal though lucky charms oh yeah good idea yeah so here's the question do i i mean i'll get this all configured but like with the neptune 2 i used prusa slicer and an ender 3 profile and it worked just fine and much like the ender 3 we have ourselves a bowden system or a bowden style setup a typical sort of build volume uh i mean i just don't have to install another flavor of kira speaking of flavors pizza coffee is delicious is it time is it time i think so that's pretty good i could i could say something sure while i'm plugging this in i have to remind you of the sponsor which is pete's coffee go to peace.com use code3dpn and get 15 off your order sitewide for the next 30 days 30 days literally 30 days if you go to their website right now they've got a st patrick's day thing which is good for the end of the day that's cool but who gives you 30 days at 15 off i do uh plus be entered to win 50 pounds of coffee they're giving away one pound for 50 people one pound per 50. yeah 50 people win one pound of coffee uh just go to the link in the description click it enter super easy around the world uh oh here's a question i'm starting an etsy store with custom coasters i'm filling it with resin and selling them for four dollars any advice crossing my fingers for the saturn uh good luck um oh and chris did say for 5.99 a generic industry profile works so i think we're going to use prusa slicer for this uh but for your etsy store um i don't really have any tips for that i don't i i don't really have any advice either um the best thing you can do when starting out is to make a quality product take really good photos of it put it somewhere that's easy for people to purchase from and then have trusted friends and family share it out uh you could have the most beautiful website in the world but if no one knows about it no one's gonna buy anything and so it's it's really good if you just start out is to try to get people to share it go to your your mom your dad your grandparents your brothers your sisters your aunts your uncles family members um church friends school friends work friends just get everybody to splat it out all over the place and while it does seem like overkill that's good that's good i promise you uh let's see motion what does it let me do level oh i gotta preheat okay preheat play oh the preheat settings for pla on this 200 on the nozzle 70c on the bed interesting should we clean the bed i mean always okay do you know where you're it's over there all right i'm looking at it i'll be right back okay i have paper towel that's good steven russell i'll pound down a pete's coffee favorite location fremont michelle pie printer looks cute but plastic yes all the adornments are plastic and none of it will make it go faster but it looks cool tripods garage there should be a cure profile on the sd card to import okay but still i think i'm gonna i think i'm gonna go prush your slicer i had really really good luck on the neptune 2 so i don't know let's roll the dice what do you say there we go so look at that whenever you clean one of these beds you always bring up some uh some yellow a little bit of yellow a little bit yellow peter allen so your suggestion is to spam no for the etsy thing i never said spam i said it might seem like overkill i'm telling you to to ask friends and family and people who you can talk to to share your work i'm not saying send an email to 50 people all at once saying please share my work i'm saying go to a family member and say i'm just starting this i really like it is there any chance you could share this with people you know and you know go to a church friend a school friend a work friend and do the same i'm not saying to spam what i'm saying is to make a personal connection with someone and ask that they can do you this favor that's not spam that's uh i don't know that's a human connection right that's a good thing it's word of mouth yeah word of mouth word of mouth look at that sean with the words let's say motion level bed leveling level the bed level corners here we go okay other than the fan the printer is quiet like i wouldn't know it's moving if i couldn't watch it i have a uh a checklist here and i can use this as the paper okay there we go so let's see that tie it's that let's see okay i go the right way i don't know that's that tightens it right so then i gotta go this way there we go okay next point sweet oh man you're all bad leveling at least they move the head for you yeah yeah yeah i think that's fine yeah i think as long as manual bed leveling uh is easy to do and it sticks like as long as your your bed is nice and stable and you don't have to do this a whole bunch uh i think that's good there's a giant dip in the middle of the of the bed that'd be terrible honestly it would be terrible every cr10 i've ever owned the leveling nuts aren't really easy to reach but i can reach the oh and i'm going the wrong way going the wrong way sean that doesn't help okay and the build plate's really high yes 70c 70c yeah oh there we go nice good solid grip there we go now in the center moment of truth yeah yeah that was great oh no i'm done okay so i'm gonna move like i think it's time to to print something i mean yeah we need some filament i wonder if i could um print a shamrock i'm sure there's some somewhere shamrock right yeah yeah make something cool you got to give it away that's true that's true uh you want to go grab there's the the polymaker polyterra mint over there yeah yeah i'm gonna grab that and my bag because my bag is going to have my my laptop at all jeez we we're getting there like this went together like nothing like nothing i'll give you green options ooh well one is a rep cord green and one is the poly tower i really i think praying with the polyglots yeah sorry pooch he would understand if he watched my videos [Laughter] i love pooch but but he knows what he's done i'm just gonna make a nice cut right there this is good filament right here here we oh it is oh it goes right there okay that's a great easy path yeah not too bad uh it looks like this is a what is this an arrow extruder maybe i think that's what they're called get in there does it not want to go see that's going to do that there's the wheel okay what am i missing um oh there we go maybe nice looks like they used uh black filament before oh is it coming out oh i see it yeah it's right there neat um where's my bag i put it over there it's on the floor oh you did thank you sean no problem we're gonna find us a shamrock jake from state farm mint everything it's true i have my macbook with me today sometimes i have my pc sometimes sometimes bob carns my favorite mint is fotus i like it okay there we go and uh in order to read sd cards i have a nice little adapter for uh usbc bam look at that uh let's see should i uh should i airplay to the tv what i'm doing sure if you want okay let me close down everything that shouldn't be seen hey there's stuff up there you can't see and there goes all of my text messages oh wait there we go i can i can do it do not disturb yeah do that okay so screen mirroring roku is going to do it not doing it yet is it thinking of oh there we go maybe that's just that's just the tv right there logo uh it won't you won't do it no fail i know i'm trying could not connect to roku tv is it um oh what nice if at first you don't succeed smash it with a hammer smash it with a hammer [Music] nice hey look at that there we go you should get a 4k monitor or a 4k uh macbook should i yeah so we'll go to proofprinters.org hey wait i just do that there we go full screen and then uh prusa slicer okay load that and we go to a shamrock let's see oh my goodness look at that right there shamrock glasses yeah heck yeah oh no is it only one it's one of those ones where it's flat and then it goes i don't know if that's going to be the no it's not great that's not great we'll find another one oh shamrock headband here we go yes yep that's it that's it now we're cooking with gas okay i'll just put it in the cart because why not there we go and now next time i'll have this set up as an input into the board is it bad no it's just to be it'd be way cleaner to have it as a input right into the switcher okay so we're gonna do that we're gonna add in from here the shamrock headband look at that boom jeez geez what happened two hours and 47 minutes that seems like a lot i feel like you can speed that up i could i could probably speed that up but you know what i could also do what something else shrink it for a kid yeah yeah exactly so uh not scale and we're gonna do two millimeters tall don't scale on the z or on the z yeah z scale z just on z just on z oh okay now it's down to one hour see i like that see it's fine it's fine hobby hands for the fiverr and your opinion is simplify3d still worth it at 150 no to put you on the spot i use my printer for professional stuff oh jake from state farm scale it smaller and give it to your daughter that's true i could do that oh david's replying to mick it's let's see david not sure the headband will either talk about my big head so hobby hands well thanks for the five first simplify 3d uh the short answer is no the really really short answer is no by now that software is a couple years old and you're not going to find it being able to do anything that other software for free can do and most likely better that said there's tons of free software out there use it try to make it work for you you probably will succeed if you don't for some reason then go to spend the money on simplify3d i think that's fair yeah exporting finished okay exporting finished so now i can eject just like that just like that do i stop the airplane yeah go ahead unless you want to put something on the tv well i mean we could [Music] um what is it on there i think that the hornet can only use uh files that are not that long oh the file name's too long i think so so it is uh wait is it not on there oh did i save it as cube what no maybe it's important what what did i save it as i don't know where'd you put it that's the real thing shamrock headband no name did it not even right okay so i'll tell you what we'll just go here and we'll do that shamrock.g code and we'll save it to no name okay it's exported it's saying so is it okay there it is okay okay good oh hey someone who said that who said that ready ready nope that's a good idea yeah someone had a great idea oh hey look at it i got i've installed honey sweet shamrock here we go okay it's gonna print honestly uh well listen thanks again to pete's for sponsoring you can see him up on the website right there and you can see him down in the lower third um uh i was about to take a drink of my beverage oh there you go that's okay that's okay hey listen grab whatever drinks next to you and uh cilantro there we go and tap the prayer it's probably gonna cool down to 60 degrees that's what it's doing right now yep which is fine yeah yeah yeah which is fine let's um i have an idea hey look there we go that's brian vines right there right there and that's the awesome video for fair rules for your 3d printer i got a shout out to brian ben dalton joel when will you build and test a boron soon i don't know it's on my list of things to do like i really want to do it i really want to do it the voron people want me to do it i think his name is taylor over at uh 3dp nero he wants me to do it he's like my nero muse stefan cnc kitchen just did his oh it's awesome look at his hair though look look at his hair look at his hair glorious some luscious locks so anyway we're just gonna there we go there's a picture of brian we're just gonna leave brian up there for a little bit nice hey look printer's moving let me turn it around yeah okay oh we went risky there it's laying it down it's got a little prime line going hot diggity look at that that's just a snap at it hey you know what another thing another thing so while that's laying down the line here let's go to so uh david who you never see because he's in la david owns and operates audio jack if you go to audiojack.com it's movies for your mind it's a wonderful service and i highly suggest you take a look at it whoa geez i'm trying to adjust the bed level because that needs to go that way whatever i think it'll work yeah it'll work right yes there we go it's funny i did my leveling uh with 70c and this prints at 60c so we'll see what happens i would imagine it's gonna be fine probably okay brian vines with a fiver that is a year's worth of covet hair also repeating an earlier comment this print was meant to be jeez brian also i almost reached for my isopropyl alcohol to take a sip of please don't ever do that that would be dangerous are you getting a good shot uh yeah there you go i see you see right there i can't but it's delayed right no no no that's my shot okay okay this shamrock's a little iffy over here this one's a little squishy over here but there's they're sticking down so i'm just not going to touch it the ender 3 profile on prusa slicer is slow i think it's like 40 or 45 millimeters per second but one of the things you have to remember printing slower does ensure a better chance at a quality print i mean going faster through 3d printers always fantastic it's a lot of fun to do but if if you have to slow it down a little bit to get good quality at the time go for it it's quiet this is actually pretty quiet yeah it's not that bad steve uckerman joel what are your thoughts on the daedalus for printing nylons that's a really good question i know it's capable of doing it i just haven't done it yet that said it's mostly enclosed and you can put a top and a door on the front and you shouldn't have a problem keeping the heat inside it is one of the things i want to try on my giant list of things to do is nylons on the deadlifts i can't imagine there being a problem because it's built with mature with parts that should be able to handle that material but you know i haven't done it yet so i can't tell you for sure cheeky b put clipper on it yeah that's jeez the clipper on it david says what's the deal with this filament it's special right that's actually really that's a really really good question so this is poly maker's polyterra pla it's on a cardboard spool and it's a very matte finish and it is compostable i know people say pla is compostable compostable yeah did i say that right yeah it's one of the other but i mean if i've got pla prints that have been outside for years and honestly they haven't broken down one bit this is me as a means to change that because they want this to be able to compost and they've done tests with it plus it's super duper cheap it's like 17 or 18 bucks a kilo and it's pretty and it's pretty up to something uh i would say you're correct it doesn't look like part cooling has kicked on my guess is that's going to be layer 2 or above and then we will know the real test of of whether or not it's loud i i can't level i can't lower the camera on this thing someone asked me to lower the camera which one so we can see that one so that we can see the nozzle better well you can if you put it on a spool box or two oh yeah i guess i could just go hey go get some of the polyterra spool boxes over there i guess i could take it off the tripod why no no leave it on the tripod to lower well i thought they wanted it like that i don't know like lower so we can see that the i oh okay michael douglas michael douglas you should check out overture matte filaments uh i will i know they're sold on amazon right i think look at this thing go look at it go prime technophilia if you want a fast printer then get a delta basically best option for fast prints but requires more fine-tuning often that's true that's very very true vinnie zemo with five euros wait two lines we learned this right euros is two euros is one line or two lines with five i believe euros happy st patrick's day to you 3d printing nerd and all on here peace and love from ireland thank you so much for that thank you very very much from ireland dr jeff doctor death joel which do you think is better the elegance saturn or the any cubic photon x good morning from the uk honestly they're both wonderful machines they both produce high quality prints and i have it printed with both of them enough to be able to discern a difference i mean that's that's the truth right i mean can you bring out on our oh no that's uh no a7 a7s3 okay for the cage yeah break mom rusty cage okay it's a little low can't even tell i think it's better i think it's better we'll call it better oh boy desi verse hey joel i'm waiting for my mark 3 s plus super excited for it you should be i'm happy you're you're getting that it's a wonderful machine and it does a really good job if you've got the kit you get to assemble it set aside half a day or a day if you just want to take your time with it have snacks at the ready they do include some gummy bears but honestly you're going to get through those pretty quick make sure you stay hydrated and you just have a really good time with it i'm looking forward to see what you do with it same cody uh duven ward do you even board i hope i didn't murder that name he did what are your thoughts on the ender five plus i have two and there are my first 3d printers um that's a good question i haven't actually played with an ender 5 plus so i i don't know i don't know the answer to that i'm really sorry is this better look at that that is a that is a sweet shot let me know in the comments someone said they noticed the lead screw wobbling what once they noticed the lead screw wobbling i don't see a wobble well keep it keep an eye on it i guess yeah yeah i'll keep an eye on it tipsy 3d you can always get a usb end scope and hang it off the end or the hanging off the hot end for those beautiful extruding views stefan at cnc kitchen did honestly one of my favorite views to date yeah that was pretty cool the way he did that i'll put that a camera right there it's really cool it's really really cool hey look at that hey don't even forget to remind you go to the link and enter to win one of 50 pounds of coffee from pete's coffee and salancha happy st patrick's day hey k.e wheeler nice shot sean yeah thanks guys zoom in on the front cam and it will be perfect zoom in oh i'm on the this probably this your tripod time on this one uh get a little closer i'll get closer and that's that's how i have to move the camera physically move it which i will i will mandrake fern flower just ordered my prusa mini cheers joel cheers to you it's a great machine i think you're going to have a lot of fun with it sitting duck does pete's shipped nz they said international shipping so if you win they'll ship it to you anywhere in the world if you order on the website and use code 3dpn for 15 off i believe they do international shipping there as well a dude named dave i could use coffee right now it's 4 20 in the morning [Music] oh hey speaking of 4 20 in the morning that's about the time you would get done if you started zack snyder's justice league at midnight correct well midnight here pacific bill bryant where's pete's coffee from pete's coffee is here in the seattle area it's the seattle brand yeah yeah yeah that's why it's really cool that they're sponsoring this it was part of the reason why pete's wanted to sponsor some streams here on the channel to get started with is because they wanted to reach out to you they're in my backyard and i didn't know they shipped international now i do and now you do and that's the important part big jano with a tenor that's two fives if i don't see the if i don't see these worn on your next video i'll be upset jk much love enough pete's coffee please sponsor and we sponsor more coffee that's what keeps us makers going that's true we've already filmed the next video so you're not going to see you're not going to see you in the next one maybe the one after that big jano i remember i found his channel somehow and he had like 16 subscribers but his content was fantastic what he was doing and i tweeted it out and i'm like guys go go pay attention to this dude pizza uh sf by the way pete's yeah well they have been seattle oh okay yeah they have a chain oh oh isaf i see what you're saying but they're basically there we go they're based in cfsa here we go san francisco well it's from san francisco then sorry i interrupted you that's okay but i know my i know my pete's here in fremont it's tasty there would be no starbucks if it wasn't for pete's great story to google sometime interesting looks like bed leveling is something that you need to fine tune at the corners i don't know one of the things you can do if you have bed leveling issues if you preheat your bed to the the temperature you're going to print with and then just let it sit for like 10 or 15 minutes just let that heat bake into the material and let it expand to what it's going to expand to and then at that point start your print or do your leveling procedure and you know that what you measure on the bed is going to stay that way just a little tip just a little tip lord humongous is that a fuzzy skin print it is not a fuzzy skin print but it kind of looks like it does it fermented it from my oh yeah yeah because um i don't have it dialed in the extrusions and so that is filament that has bunched up i see so the default prusa profile for the ender 3 does do a two layer skirt so that's what we're seeing right now boy it didn't uh we'll see okay it's going sweet yeah okay cool it's moving a little faster now too yeah whoa someone i saw someone what is that looks like voltron anthony with a 50. it's got a it's a what is that that is fantastic it looks like uh you know the google version of a voltron it is it is i love it wow nf50 thank you very much it's really kind of you that's ten that's ten high fives that's ten i fives and honestly that's a that's a couple different milkshakes true especially if we go to sonic after 8pm yeah they're half price phillip madison i'd love to watch you build a doom cube voron 2.4 and get your opinions on it a doom cube doom cube that sounds fantastic thomas elder what is the price on this printer you know we should uh why don't maybe 269 78. it's 269.78 sure but uh art once you add it into your cart uh and it has uh hey look at that i look on google and the first result for videos is this live stream right now nice here we go it shows uh 419 so if i pick that oh i see so if it ships from china it's 419.50 if it ships from the u.s it's 269.78 oh and delivery time 7 to 15 days that's not too bad well here i'll tell you what i'm gonna if you go to artillery3d.com there are eight there are eight eight oh sorry there we go eight there are eight of these available and so if you go to artillery3d.com and you choose the us warehouse to ship from it's 269.78 there you go bam bam bam doomguy please shout out a local business called 3d print orlando is it in orlando there we go i would assume so it'd be weird to have a 3d print orlando in in um iowa unless you really love orlando that's true do you just print orlando things i mean there's plenty of stuff from orlando you could print yeah yeah or you could print you could just take a part of it print lando things lando calrissian yeah yeah i'd be down for that it'd just be a lando store it would just be the millennium oh it's his awesome robot robot droid you could uh print land of lakes sweet cream look at it go honestly from getting it out of the box it wouldn't have taken so long if we were filming this that's just that's just how it works but getting it out of the box uh four screws attached everything plugged things in and it was ready to go once we leveled the bed that's not too bad 269 isn't a bad price for this not at all no not at all yeah i mean you can get it under three for under 200 bucks you can get an under three v2 for a little over 200 bucks i mean this is a little bit more expensive but uh this this cable tube contraption it could be really cool it could be the electronics are all proper we did check that everything was easy to plug in like i'm not um this could be one of those ones i recommend someone was saying sometimes they're on sale on amazon for just over 200 bucks that's not bad just over 200 bucks lord humongous 4.99 are you out of your mind you remind me of an old drinking buddy good times ah i'm going to take that as a compliment one of the highest compliments you do you remind me one of my drinking buddies too he's pretty old really yeah you yeah oh sean you're going to be this old son i know yeah like 10 years from now yeah welcome it uh city duck joel has stated or wait okay i think there's a there's a thread here i need to i need to go i need to go see that so investigate arsene maniac sitting duck joel has stated before he tends to prefer printers with minimal assembly which the voron isn't he'll probably do it eventually but doubt short term i do like easy assembly i think it's fun but i really want to challenge myself i really want to try it like if i can do it and i can and i can show how i'm doing it then that would empower others who might think they can't do it to to then do it and then everybody does it to do it to do it to do it it's a no no okay careful raymond with the fiverr i heard voron i like voron you missed one which one missed the big one before that one i did and anthony was 50. another one another one there's another 50. where i don't know i saw it was did anthony give another 50 yeah oh anthony with another 50. okay i just saw the same transforming robot looking thing and so i got kind of i just saw that it was a hippo and a gaming chair that transformed into a voltron yeah yeah i love it okay anthony thank you again for the 50. honestly that that hippo transforming into a voltron is kind of cool uh my daughter sid is in the chat and she said you're very old sean i am yeah yeah she might have said it to me but i'm thinking she said it about you because you're old i mean i am but not as old as you not as old as me not yet we're both younger than dave and printed solid it's true there we go david look at that i got my mind set on you i got my mind this word is or this song is just six words long this song is just six words long this is how we avoid yeah avoid copyright strike right i wonder if the corners are just trouble to to level on this thing obviously i mean we have to be something i would look at during the review um the middle of the event is looking fine well i mean as fine as it is with uncalibrated but i think we had a good starting point yeah i just like prusa slicer better than kira that's my thing excuse me pritchard rick 3d printing nerd have you checked out the voxel lab aquila yet is it aquila or a queer i don't know i haven't i have not i have not tanzanite tech nature i love that video i hope you're talking about the george harrison video i got my mind set on you that's a fun little video have you seen it oh sean's seen it that's amazing i didn't know if that disney first thank you for being so wholesome and a great place to get inspired to create well thank you desi verse it's really kind of you to say i maintain a family-friendly channel and everything we do here is meant to be inclusive i don't want to exclude anybody from this this is wonderful technology all are welcome and i hope i can explain things in a way that make it easy for most if not everybody to understand and uh uh you know in different times once the world is healed healed a little bit i'll always be up for a high five in person i miss those same you know you know the convention fives can i break out the high five counter again i will oh i will yeah i still have it it's at home i know it takes a small little battery simple electronics 3d printing nerd what is your favorite 3d printing motion system ooh ooh i really like the core xy mechatronic system i like i like its movements and i like how i like i like how the movements are translated and i like watching it go delta is interesting cartesian's fine i mean it's all fine i don't really have a favorite motion system what about the one that hugs you that's polar yeah polar it's like like that one it's just with two arms right i think it looks cool polar is cool polar is cool the belt printers are cool but the belt printer is using a core xy just at a 45 degree angle hey look it's still going look at that a thematic print scotiaboy you like i like cura you say and that is great that's the wonderful part of 3d printing right now we have the choice of so many not just great softwares to slice models with but so many of them are free many of them are open source meaning if you find a feature that you want but it doesn't exist you could technically add it to it you could you could join the project and develop the code to add that feature to the slicer it's really a wonderful time here and and uh is it march already ah it's march halfway through march man geez but in halfway through march of 2021 uh we we have the choice of so many free wonderful software's to do this stuff with it's just fantastic doomguy for one million subs you should you should build a reprap printer yeah sure why not sure i'd have to get there first uh doing niche content requires a lot of viral hits in order to get to um 1 million subscribers i'm very thankful for the 400 000 i have right now yeah karmic debt i used cura because i learned from chuck that's fair yeah one of the reasons i like kira as well is when i it was when i use it if i ever ever question about it i just texted chuck and i'm like hey chuck he's like hey joel and i say i got a problem he's like what's that and i say it's with kira and he's like oh that's how it goes that's usually how it goes time is it for chuck it's 8 30. so it's time is it michigan 11 30. uh it's really late for chuck he's he's uh he's an early event sort of guy i miss chuck i want to next next time we travel gotta see chuck absolutely that'd be fun that means we'll be in michigan so i like that that's true asked earlier if i if i've officially moved back because i'm here a lot now and yes the answer is yes yeah sean is super back i knew i really when you left i really wanted to play uh the part from hamilton where the king's like you'll be back well you wouldn't have been wrong i know i wouldn't have been wrong it'd be funny dave darwin i'm always skeptical of belt printers i like drive screw printers just seems like belts might slip and stretch so why risk it you know what that's actually fair um using a belt front axes and a 3d printer uh you i mean i think genuine gates belts the gt2 belts are are typically not going to stretch or fail typically within within a few thousand hours i'm hoping uh but drive screw you're limited uh you're limited by speed because you can't move your axes fast enough for the drive screw system i mean drive screw means you don't have any backlash which is kind of interesting but at the same time it is uh it's loud and it goes burr this goes snapmaker i think or no the um oh what's the what's the one before the obsidian the trinus the trinus printer was with screwdrive on all three axes and it wasn't the fastest machine but i mean there was no backlash on that and it produced really good prints zac baruch maker's new switched to prusa slicer a while ago i think uh well let's see what did someone say what do you use i'm trying to remember i think angus is going to use whatever he wants to right uh i use idea maker prusa slicer cura i use simplify3d for the big printer in the garage i used whatever for that that polar printer we had what else do i use i don't think you really ever use cura unless you have to i don't i don't use it unless i have to i remember originally for the gmax gordon over at g create made a cura profile for the gmax2 or the gmx 1.5 xt whatever one i was using and i was like no i don't like it so i started using ideamaker and it worked okay practical printing want to win free coffee from pete's there we go thanks for doing that chris hey yo let's check let's see how many people have entered the contest for free coffee from holy cats we've got lots and lots of people entering for free coffee from pete's that's awesome i had no no chris it's over here here i'll go get it you're gonna make me take out this thing again just go so it's so just yep like i'm gonna close that then what happens it just goes away oh okay perfect so i still have there it is hold on a second hold on a second yeah let me let me get that also can you put the logo back up on the tv oh there we go there's the sculpto logo oh it's just straight up stop did you unplug something oh no i hit the power oh oh no weird okay does it have resume i don't know what does it say we're about to find out what does it say i don't know man hold on no i don't think it does it doesn't well this is fine you know why no because it wasn't good up there i had to adjust things i see so let's get this off the build plate it was plugged in all the way and i bumped it slightly and then it wasn't plugged in anymore so i i know i'm not that's not my fault is it i guess it's my fault i told you to move yeah sean [Laughter] oh man this stuff is stuck down yeah everybody uh just too close don't don't spam f in the in the chat yeah it wasn't it wasn't the printer's fault well here why don't we start it again and then why don't we speed it up we'll get the first layer down and then we'll speed it up how about that okay benchy time no luck of the irish here good comment yeah that's a great comment well he said noah f in the chats well whatever [Laughter] oh yeah i deserve those apps oh pixel pusher with an e nice you know what i brought out the sculptor and that's what the sculpto and that's what did it yeah so who who wanted that who wanted that was that chris who knows chris i think it was chris chris i'm gonna blame chris sculpto goes back you'll be back there we go it's preheating now that'll print again i mean i apologize hey things stuck down pretty well now look i mean we do have a shamrock it did take some of the build plate with it uh oh yeah look at that yeah yeah you need to put your live stream on the tv that way you can have now now moment just like in spaceballs yes it's true that's true i'm sorry i feel so bad i feel so bad i can't believe i knocked the power uh you know what i should do sean what's that the power connector should be on the side of the desk that i'm not on yeah that's where it was you moved it you know things happen yeah yeah you might that's what happened i just i apologize but it gives us a chance to start it again is that really what we want i want that now would you have wanted it five minutes ago no no not at all absolutely not right that's not what i would have wanted i can't see the screen what's it doing you're uh it says homing failed printer halted please reset does it really yeah homie failed what homing failed that's what it said well now it's gone could you turn it off well sure see it homes against that switch okay well i'm glad you asked me to check yeah we've been sitting there in a while brent okay ac print bed uh i'm not sure i don't remember if you if you rewind the stream you can go back to where we opened up the bottom of the printer and uh showed you all of the electronics you might be able to trace the wires at that point i don't know if it is it's it's getting very specific well an ac heated bed i mean it's i mean let me take a look i'll open up the laptop and we'll take a look okay let's see oh this cable management they have is integrated and patent pending you know it doesn't say it doesn't it doesn't say it doesn't say it doesn't say it doesn't say i'm sorry um it doesn't say also it doesn't say does tech nature bring back the polar printer oh i don't think that's a good idea not today what's it what's it doing uh same thing what same thing yeah what uh oh you broke it man how did i bro i didn't how did i i'm gonna plug it in over here what happened i couldn't have broke it the switch is right there yeah the switch is there all the connections are plugged in what i don't know man so here let's try why don't you just try holding it homing it that's what i'm gonna do hey it worked okay scott wah move the cord i did i did i did move the chord okay uh oh uh-oh what same thing does it say it again yeah homing failed what okay now we get to troubleshoot so we had a power outage scenario i'm wondering if something got corrupted on the sd card maybe so let's take a look i mean i'll take a look okay do this it needs some irish whiskey i mean i agree that's probably true tell you what i'm just gonna it's exported okay good okay now i can eject it that's good put it back in okay now oh is there a reset on the front panel no well there's a reset button but it resets it well maybe we have to because it says it says press reset like like preston every time every time pressing reset is essentially just resetting the um the marlin it's it's restarting the the computer rather than doing a power off power on i see and so i've done both okay let's see i'm gonna watch it we're heating up the bed jackson 4.99 if it breaks use gorilla grew glue sure why not hobby hands with a fiver you forgot to pray to the 3d printer gods before starting the stream that is true we never do robert nowicki with sck-100 from uh sweden hope that printer hasn't gone to meet its maker yeah you and me both you're tough to review it if i accidentally knock the power out and that breaks the printer that doesn't seem right that doesn't seem right correct yeah nothing is obstructed things move okay okay it says it's heating up caribou shore canadian fiber the 3d gods hate me all printers i look at crash since about 48 hours did you look at this one did you did you here we go e-heating okay it's heating it's good just thinking about it we're gonna get motion here soon at least i think it's gotten far farther now than it has before has it i mean it would air out pretty quick yeah it's actually moving the printhead now okay did it do it no no it's it hasn't done it it's still it's still stabilizing the temperature okay on the hot end it's a hot end right there it is we're almost there i think good thoughts no homing failed printer halted holy crap what happened why it's home right let's take a look at that g-code let's just take a look at it what do you say should you format the card no i'm not going to format the card that seems like an extreme thing to do let's take a look so i've got the card in the laptop here maybe is it there we go so let's take a look i can open this and uh do i not have like notepad or something gakson 4.99 they can make it look cool but not joel proof that seems to be the truth doesn't it uh here we go i am going to export this as a separate file i'm going to call it shamrock2 shamrock 2. there we go i see it on there now i'm going to eject it do it right just to make sure okay we've got screen is fine media inserted i'm going to go print from media shamrock 2. z didn't move when homing yeah that's true z didn't move but the z cable is is in there and it's it's in there yeah all the all the cables are in there i noticed that it didn't yeah it didn't go up or down okay well then you know what we should do maybe trash the z-axis sure that's working so let's okay so we'll home z okay z moves yep ah-ha won't go down z will not go down weird okay so good call everybody who noticed it uh z will not go it'll go up but it won't go down hmm i don't i i mean what do you do at this point besides we have to replace the motor well maybe unless something came undone on the inside i can't imagine it i don't know how i don't well here let me let me bring it around this side and let me just reseat the cable let's just make sure so there's the cable everything's good i'm gonna just poke it right back in there okay there we go so the z is not uh binding it can move freely okay so i'll turn it on and i'll attempt to move z around okay let's see what happens goes up does not go down so if i push it it goes down like why won't the motor go down i don't think power would have killed it right i'm sorry i'm not z n stops z stops everybody's saying that but it is not engaged so i'm i'm happy everybody's saying that but if you look the z limiter has a blue light when it's engaged tell me when you can see that yeah so there's a blue light when it's engaged are you reading things so i would have maybe maybe it's stuck why don't you reseat that cable just to make sure it's got a proper connection there sure i mean that's in there all nice and good that is the one that's pulled pretty tight too okay which way am i going i gotta go the other way i'm glad everybody's crying out in unison z limit switch okay what was it the power is now super loose look at that i'm sorry reading reading comments okay anything good uh that the z limit switch may have flipped i'm not going down huh engage the switch and then try going down uh i tried that that does not work okay we wanted to screw the board i can't see that reboot all stephen holmes impressed okay so it doesn't at home when pressed let's just uh let's just pull it apart i guess is it seated on the main board did we maybe pull it out when we when you pulled it it looks to be seated correctly from tension uh i will take a look at it but i mean it was working and then power was accidentally pulled so it's not like there was it didn't move there was some sort of huge uh event there not to unscrew it all always do pcb issues i wonder if we just yell out artillery like we did elegu if they'll just just throw it yeah artillery somebody somebody said hey listen while i'm taking out these screws don't forget the stream is sponsored by pete's coffee which i could really use right about now thanks to pete you get 15 off of their website using code 3dpn for the next 30 days that's kind of awesome they're also giving away 50 pounds of coffee 50 winners each get one pound of coffee there's a link in the description click on that click on that and then be entered just the spool holder it's just this full holder i just wanted a nice chill stream well i mean it looks nice so everything in here is uh is glued into place just glued in so nothing is uh nothing is loose nothing is pulled out everything is where it's supposed to be usb is plugged in power's loose but it's just because okay so all the connectors on the power are proper uh it's just that the connector itself it's a press fit and it isn't the tolerances aren't there so there you go see that's in moses wants to know what's happening i was loyal in hey loyal loyal has returned to the church so uh stuff has happened i honestly don't think pulling the power i mean i guess pulling the power could have done something it must have shorted something or done something to it it's the only thing i can think of but like aren't there protections should be there we go that's one way to do it let's plug it back in try a factory reset a factory reset how was that done yeah i'm just reading chats man well tell everyone i said hi i mean they can hear you so oh that's true hi everyone sean barry the 20. thanks for purposely demoing some troubleshooting purposefully purposefully yeah super on purpose i would probably i promise never did this on purpose up up up up goes fine it's the down that doesn't want so many ups we can do before it stops going anywhere i mean i could just kind of oh that's right you can just push it yeah install clipper yeah now is the time to install clipper right m502 is factory reset well that's just to load the defaults right i don't think it's factory i think it's low defaults in marlin re-flash firmware marlin has a z-crash protection that stops you from moving z down until you home but we've homed yeah we've honed unplugged z limiter just did oh that doesn't do anything it will not home correct it doesn't at home z doesn't home did you uh move it down when you unplug it i don't know what's that no way okay how's everybody doing out there uh let's see maybe try the tiny reset button while powered uh i've done that tap the end step when trying to home to see if that much works it doesn't do you have a motor on hand to swap uh z driver is dead mix wire up zed doesn't home either ain't looking for a bl touch let's see test motor on another printer um that's a lot of words well i could steal a motor from another printer which printer you have uh here wait a minute wait a minute cr6 over there so uh tracy from artillery is watching uh unplug the z switch and try to home which i've done okay yep but also m119 to check end stop state so i will plug in via usb and we'll we'll see if it's if it's the install there we go and then we'll steal a motor because that's what heroes do there's a cr6 right over there on the shelf you can grab i'm already i know but there's an ender three right over there sure um also that's the one that i put the plotter on so it already has a motor that i can just steal because it's not being used okay let's see let's do printful apprentices is it um so that's the x-axis move back and forth yeah yeah x x and y move because x and y are able to home just fine right uh guy improves the slicer is there uh is there a console to do g-code just open up i'm trying to remember simplify 3d i don't have it you have it it's not just not on the mac yeah yeah put linux on it sure let's put linux on it yeah so if it's a brown out right i i don't think the motor would be dead it would be the driver but would the driver just fail in one direction it just seems weird so here's what we can do you know what okay so first of all um isn't there like a like i've prusa slicer installed isn't there a um g-code yeah that's what i'm looking for reseat the motor connector we did yeah reseeded the motor connector that's for sure oh wait i've got cura use ponterface pronterface do i have pronterface applications pronterface there we go perfect loading up the proctor face pop up up pronterface papa pronterface mom yeah i mean we could try switching the connector with the y or the x to see if it's at the board level oh pronterface doesn't work on this mac so i'll download it because there's going to be probably a new one i think my favorite solution so far has been to unplug the power cable and plug it back into our prusa that's amazing can we you want to put it on the tv at all the airplay no okay no it'll be fine i'm sorry let's see yes driver is essentially an h bridge it's possible to have one side or fet fail oh okay so it's possible that it's the driver the print the the driver in which case it's dead well which case we would just need a new driver they would plug and play but it also means i could take x and z and swap and see sure but i want to see the end stop state first which means i'm going to run well m189 m119 okay should have sent that song version of lady gaga see if she collab for papa brought to your face yeah you know there's a lady gag on math have you ever seen that no it's uh uh mama yeah someone came up with the actual mathematical equation for those words and they order in which they appear oh my god gacks it 4.99 plug your z cable into your x y or e motor if it moves both directions it's the motor uh right um i thought about that uh do i have enough room for that i'm gonna see the end stop state first and then we'll start doing motor switcheroos uh i'm gonna get sidetracked really easy here okay project face won't work on this mac so that's fantastic download yet why a t it'll run on mac download yet i don't know yeah it is it's the second letter of the cyrillic alphabet yeah yet another terminal yeah okay supports all that stuff let's just um let's just move this up go come on okay so if i unplug that right there sorry i need to get a better view on this all right i just took it away not allowed sorry well they don't make the x-axis really easy to get to do they but the extruder motor i can get to that everything's a tight little don't say it a tight little connection so i'm going to get a pair of needle nose god these are really big do i have any smaller needle nose if i do it's probably not in this drawer oh wait i do these are big drawers okay they go both ways what they go both ways the drawers yeah they sure do oh was someone asking no i always just letting people know that they're neat they go both ways oh that's sean the champion of random trivia they open on the front of the desk and the back of the desk see if i get that so now z is going to be plugged into okay z is now plugged into the x axis so okay here's the rub ready yeah so i'm going to try to move z and that should move x okay here we go z huh it does not move volume was one way yeah only goes one way that's a driver issue i'm glad we didn't replace the motor yeah let me check okay i'm just going to put this back the way it was so now we get to test whether or not the i guess we can test the the driver now hey chat how you doing um uncle jesse is here rubbing salt in our wounds last pronterface binary 2017. yeah yeah before the you know while the max still took intel or whatever it was i don't know mac was just like pronterface needs to update its binary if it's going to play nice with them like macs are great until they're not great okay let's um brown out burn driver more than likely nope i'm so sad i know oh here you want to see yeah okay i like seeing things yeah yeah how's that so are they labeled which one is z or zed i don't see any labels um you see any labels sean no no okay i don't either let's carry on a zoom sorry i'm gonna get a closer look i don't mean to take away your view i really don't that's okay there are labels [Laughter] good sorry i have a three inch screen here to work with it's not that's okay you got to work with what you're given all right order from left to right uh is typically x y z e it is nice that is who said that uh aaron i think aaron here in york aaron york you are correct he's been helping out a lot actually sounds like a good person um clippers so everything is zip tied to be nice and tidy in there which is good but also means movement is constricted so we need to free up some of those wires i honestly didn't think this is what i was going to be doing tonight while we were moving a couch today i told sean sean tonight the stream i just wanted to be a chill good time i just want to chill a chill stream you jinxed it i did i really did i really really did again guys the uh this the stream is sponsored by pete's coffee based out of san francisco yeah i know head over to their uh the website to get 15 off with code 3dpn for the next 30 days 30 days what and click the link in the description to be entered to win one of 50 pounds of coffee just worldwide worldwide good job on that sean thanks there's a lot of hot glue here just uh getting through it so normally should a should a 3d printer be able to survive a uh a brown out situation i think it should i mean if you accidentally bump the power that that can be an occurrence is it is it specific to my my power situation or did something bad happen that shouldn't have or is this the proper way for the electronics to handle what's going on don't everybody talk at once sorry that's okay i don't know man i don't know yes yes yes plug in another end stop to znstop uh yes bad board designer flaw okay so this is something it should be able to handle that's good to know i'm going to pull a driver from y and put it on z i think that's fair i mean we're troubleshooting right yep we gotta swap the the uh the chords up top too do i did you did you swap them back i mean i guess you could just still text it and test it on x but oh i already swapped the chords up oh did you okay i'm just having to deal with hot glue right now right there is an abundance hot glue on motherboards huh hot glue hot glue on my motherboard hot glue yes robert get yourself another empanada that's a great idea oh empanadas are so good i said someone else was getting another martini also in the chat so where did there's z there's z okay oh my goodness i'm almost there guys this sunday we also have an awesome uh look at you promoting hey sean hey sean what do we got this sunday an awesome video coming up with uh a chance to win a pretty cool set of prizes very cool so we're giving away a printer uh we're not gonna tell you which one but uh it's gonna be awesome it's gonna be awesome video goes live at uh 6 a.m pacific 6 a.m pacific this is a good driver we've got some pretty uh pretty awesome people featured on the video as well it's going to be a contest where you might uh win by designing something yep okay so now look that's the old z driver right there yeah there it is there it is i put the the driver for y and z i it should be similar enough to where it should work right up down that's it yeah that's it this uh this is a bad driver right here okay this one let's just take one for another printer right right no i don't know okay i don't know um so let's see so i'm i'm not that knowledgeable in the area of drivers and 3d printer boards so if i just go to an ender 3 and grab a driver will that work woo driver it is yeah everybody or no cause not all boards are gonna have replaceable drivers uh john cena wow is it the driver or it came unsocketed no no the driver was socketed hey tracy said to take a driver from a genius or a sidewinder they are interchangeable guess what i have you got a sidewinder and a genius oh my goodness first of all chris russell thank you and tracy from artillery thank you for staying with us here so hey sean yeah would you go grab me a sidewinder where in here it's gonna be in that room straight ahead oh yeah see right here so look at that try putting the bat driver back no no i don't want to why would i put it back in they want me to put the bad driver back in just to just to verify just to see all right i will do that for you that's what you want yeah yeah yeah can you put it behind me yep that's where i'm going apparently i'm running out of space there you go don't step on it i'll try not to so much hot glue okay someone said it's like a ram stick oh hey being st patrick's day did anybody get a shamrock shake at mcdonald's let me tell you what man they're so good i would i would be willing to try one again someday just because you say they're so good gary says receding the driver isn't a bad idea i try putting it in the y instead of z the driver yeah that's what i'm gonna do nice and then when that doesn't work oh uh never let the machines win says make sure you mark the bed driver so you don't use it yeah yeah i've got that worked in that it's in my hand okay i could really use a milkshake right about now okay bad drivers and why now let's take a look we may get a print out of this thing just keep me away from the power buzz with a fiver two how to fix videos in a week one resin and one fdm it's fair it's fair that's super fair hey it's running marlin 207 that's kind of good okay here we go so with the y-axis the y-axis i'm just going to put it right in the middle here okay ready okay creeps forward and it doesn't go backwards okay there you go that's that is i think proof definitive proof definitive proof drive or bad bad driver okay so now oops it's fine so now remove driver from our from a sidewinder from a sidewinder so everybody oh have a look this is an artillery sideway a a capable 3d printer that um we're going to take apart i might need you to wait no i got my allen keys right here bam i'm just gonna take the the gantry off or it's yeah i'm gonna take the gantry off that's what i'm gonna do it's just gonna make things a whole lot easier is it a four sure is nice how's everybody doing in the chat thanks for sticking with us guys i mean dave darren joel was drinking in driver listen that's true something always goes terribly wrong when we drink on the stream big boss oh gee chris is chris burillo here is chris you you all i just chris streams every day on twitch at 6 00 p.m pacific time and he's recently got himself a prusa mini and no joke no joke every stream since then has been 3d printing it's been amazing he is he is hooked he is hooked wait wait david haynes it's always sad day when you have to pull apart a working machine to fix a broken machine well is this one working uh one of two of my sidewinders came uh broken from a uh a kind uh some kind of people in las vegas nevada and it never worked so what is that oh my goodness i'm gonna have to take that out i love it chris perrilla just said my printer is not broken oh chris i mean called out again say well yeah saying that though out loud true risky that's risky man but listen chris i'm glad you're into 3d printing and honestly being trolled by you it just feels natural it feels good hey i hope i get to be on one of your uh your streams again someday it's kinda there we go there we go oh my uh mining rig just rebooted what happened temperature uh it might have just been an access violation or something who knows matt lamb with a fiber can you put in the fourth axis time would only go forward not back right that's a good point yeah that is a good point now is a good time as any to mention the sponsor pete's because i could really use the copyright hey wait a minute wait a minute i could really use a copy right about now that would be amazing honestly i don't think they're open they should just have david sent us some coffee yeah david i do have an energy drink do you have two yes oh yes i have two energy drinks in the fridge can we have it i could really go for one really yeah okay yeah go grab the energy drink sean we're in for the we're in for the long haul this is it dude i missed my workout because of this man oh pes liz says uh chris is on twitch right now so wait he popped into my chat to troll me oh i missed a two dollar super chat where let me let me scroll back i want to make sure chris pirillo probably not oh mick omer i think i missed something what happened my goodness uh i accidentally bumped the power and in doing so i guess created a brown out scenario and the z motor driver stepper driver uh won't go in the in the negative direction it won't it won't home hey mitch i already broke the printer yeah chris perla says i used to bleed prime technophilia i'm surprised you don't have a bunch of drivers on hand you know what um that's actually interesting i don't like i don't repair a lot of machines not because i don't want to but because uh typically what happens is a manufacturer will send in a machine for review and i will review it and then um i may keep it or i may just give it away and so it's it's a stream of machines to evaluate and it's never it's never like uh keep keep a bunch of parts on hand to fix certain ones you got tape you got tape oh that's the warranty void if removed oh warranty void if removed we took care of that oh yeah the fan is connected hey look at that i just pull that there we go actually you know what for the for the having the spare drivers around uh sometimes i do and it's in the form of another 3d printer so look here's the drivers there's a bunch of them e1 e0 there's i'm just going to take the z motor from from this one here i'll never go up and down again maybe there we go okay that was easy honestly one of these days like once listen i'm gonna take a moment because i have to crack this open and i have to take a sip but i've always thought what about what about a 3d printing garage sale you know when when times are back to a more better place what if what if we just had like some sort of pacific northwest 3d printer garage sale i think that'd be a lot of fun like parts and prints and um not like a murph i started almost describing murph didn't i yes good you know you take that first sip of something caffeinated and it just slowly uh integrates itself into your well-being that's what happened forest rogers thanks for the great content i'm gonna head out for the night currently printing hero escape terrain i'll watch the rest of your video in the morning thanks for stopping by 4.99 are you out of your mind listen thank you thank you seriously it's really fun when i get to do content i guess unexpectedly aaron did say to check the voltages and stuff but we were informed right that it was they were they were interchangeable yeah from artillery yep there we go that's the bad one what do you do with bad ones you just pitch them can you just throw them away uh you encase it in carbonite yes are you getting wires there yeah there's a wire you go were you worried yes oh boy listen are you worried not anymore the uh if we had pizza we would be drinking peace coffee we just we didn't have uh we don't have any we don't have a way to make coffee here in the studio not yet so yeah nice okay listen while i'm putting this back together will this work will this work i want you to let me know in the chat either yes say say yes this will work or no i don't believe this will work i want you to leave your guesses so we can go back and see whether or not you're correct sean is this going to work yes i like the cut of your jib oh you know what i don't think i popped it into place enough i think you're right yeah there we go nice that's more better indeed it's a power plug okay power cord far away from me thank the good lord above and wow what just find it i did find it okay can i turn it on i'm so impatient so remember uh last we left this machine the bad driver was put into the y axis to verify that it was bad so now we have to try and move the bed back and forth so here we go motion move axes y move ten millimeters this one worked the other one didn't yes yes yes ah oh my gosh i did not think that was gonna work i didn't like i didn't i didn't think that was gonna work okay i'm going to set the temps we're going to preheat i clipped the filament so now i have to um reinsert and re refilament it we're just going to print another shamrock so what do people say at fixed air i have the power home now look at that people are excited people are excited just don't bump it again it's over there it's over there now try the z well the z was working earlier z was working before i wonder if the pla was just i have to preheat ah that was fun huh z wise is saying it still won't print i don't know geforce shot refillament refilament that's a fantastic name you know what sounds good sean what's that uh a dick's cheeseburger and a milkshake oh you you ain't wrong doesn't that sound like good like delicious yeah luke hatcher get the sculpto back out for good luck no i started this whole situation recording for his next trick magic blue smoke will appear yo we should have a blue smoke machine yeah yes joseph lambert 4.99 are you out of your mind did you think more about the 3d filament accessory whatever store space you were talking about in a stream a while back no oh my gosh i remember talking about a filament place local to the pacific northwest about storing filaments there and making it a place where people could come pick up filaments uh and then and then i just didn't think about it anymore i was very excited about that i was like i'll host i'll do it yeah yeah it seemed like a good idea at the time but i just uh i didn't i'll manage you really sorry i've managed many retail shops yes you have mint ow ow that filament yeah it's hot dude it's really hot this has been an adventure i'm going to be honest with you like i like i have expressed multiple times i just wanted a chill stream something to relax with something that was easy something we could have fun with something that um something that wasn't this something that wasn't this i mean we've had fun sure we've had fun but i've had a guinness and now i'm pounding an energy drink and there's nothing about those together that spells chill fair and we're getting filling it look at that i can't well i took it anyway all right i'll turn it towards you thank you oh yeah look at that did you see that move nope i touched the power cord you made me no media oh you know what once you plug that thing back in huh did you preheat it already i did nice look what you're thinking every once in a while so now this is going to start but we've got ourselves a dead driver hey listen there's some plastic on the front of that screen should that come off yeah it's not flushed and it's bothering me yeah that went away i want you to witness this 3d printer homing uriel hernandez you deserve a lab coat for fixing the printer i'm going to be honest with you i could really use a lab coat i think that would be a bunch of fun and i would enjoy it more than i should i get at home and print do stuff there it is there's the beta filament there boy that's it's really low to the bed isn't it oh i heard it scratched the bed yeah we're a little low okay that's decent okay how we doing there that is decent right there there we go okay yes brian vines hey look at that brian vines just like filament 3d printing is mostly mental oh i'll give you half a point for that one brian half a point well listen uh i want to give a thanks right now i'm going to thank my sponsor of course but i want to give a thanks to chris russell and tracy from artillery tracy's watching the stream as is chris and it was uh their insistence on grabbing a driver from a previous printer either a genius or a sidewinder x1 uh i have a genius it's in a box i want to crack that but i had a sidewinder just waiting to to be useful because it wasn't working before so we're there look at that it's going so after the first layer we're going to turn up the speed a little bit uh well listen listen normally because of uh pete's being the sponsor here we'd have some coffee uh i don't have pete's coffee currently so uh i've got myself an energy drink and i hope you have something tasty to drink as well and if you do i'd love to hear what you're drinking in the comments please oh nick 3648 i've always wondered if you could use a usb external ssd and plug it into the thumb drive port do they have ssd to usb sean youth is that filament environmentally friendly it is it actually is tmc 3d dead driver giveaway that's actually kind of funny oh aaron york i have a cheese slurry that i'm drinking we've got beer water water david i thought you got a okay so coke mudslide water milk beer cherry coke water tea cranberry juice water one it's time for wine jordana that is true sprite baby uh water oh vanilla sprite what is that that sounds uh someone's got green tea whiskey beautiful clean water i send him uh tend to be 30. nice a cup nice coca-colas kevin ray oh a 200 milligram thc soda i don't know what that is is that like thc that's marijuana right yeah i i don't i don't know these things man cbd thc yes i think thc's in maryland okay yeah okay i didn't know you could make that into a drink interesting pam m high test pepsi uh oh dew claws with a fiber what is the nozzle fan system like 360 nozzle fan or one direction also any clue on what type of hot end uh they detail it on the website if you go to artillery3d.com and look up the machine they actually give you some up close pictures of the hot end it's got dual fans so it's got two two fans blowing from either side so it's not 360 but it's it's double-sided and a fan shroud that is injection molded oh talon dark feather lime slush with rum oh it's not bad not bad at all ooh dom house just finished a rar anti-coke nectar ipa and now on an evo brewing pine hop iba ipa i i love an ipa beer i do i'm not a big ipa fan that's fine uh tom ashmore jd and coke dominic i'm drinking pete's coffee are you are you that's beautiful i just look at that the bed is properly leveled i mean it's looking really good well okay i have the bed a little too close just a little bit just a little bit let's see okay if i go that way right a little bit better whatever whatever you know what sounds good right now taco bell okay so you said dicks with a shake now you're on to taco bell yeah okay i think well i think a cheeseburger from dicks would be wonderful right now alex wavelet you're not an ik fan you moved to the wrong state i know trust me coming from michigan it's not it's not much better they they love their ipas there too jim brush guinness because it's tasty there you go st patty's day kyle dalton best suggestion for a 3d printer with a budget of 150ish dollars uh you know the the neptune 2 from elgoo it's it's a similar system to this and it is 160 u.s it's rare for it to be in stock because it's so cheap but uh that's around 160 bucks and it seems to do a pretty good job i know 3d 3d maker noob has one i think he's done some stuff with it i haven't had a lot of prints on it uh i've done enough for the review which will be filmed soon ryan barry yeah i was talking about sonic last time yeah i mean we just make people hungry all the time that's what we do it's a good shot right there look at that oh and it's got it's my got my green behind it look at that it's pickle rick right there yes oh david got an oreo shake thing it was mint and key lime interesting interesting uh at 3d printing here from jeffrey uh jeffy boy how much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood uh chuckwood chuck lots of wood chuck is a woodchuck chuck with his ender three he would use his ender three to chuck wood that's what chuck would do that's what he would do yeah chuck would chuck wood with his ender three i'm sure he has but he's probably written many wood filament things with his underwear i would imagine so oh jg maker has their magic 2 for 179 is what ben e brady said [Music] there you go um peter sands more with the troubles you've had with the cr6 would you still recommend it that is that's a difficult question it's really hard to answer because my best experiences with the cr6 were with the pre-kickstarter one that has the 8-bit board there is one with a 32-bit is this is it this one i don't know now i don't know either one of them's got a 32-bit board and the other's got an 8-bit board and uh the 32-bit board wasn't as that was the one that sparked on the usb wasn't wasn't good and then they sent another one i think the broken ones in the the closet of shame uh it's i think it's at a point now where the cr6 is fine to use i haven't used in a while i have a lot of machines to get through so uh i haven't used in a while i've got to apologize for that but i i just it was so good with the 8-bit boards i really wish they wouldn't have gone to 32-bit it was so good nick darrow i have nine cr6ses wow so uh chris from practical printing asked what the green drink was that we had when we were in vegas the one i kept buying everybody uh that was not green it was blue it was a superman shot oh a superman shot yeah so it tastes like superman ice cream if you're from michigan or you know that area of the country of the united states there's a superman ice cream and it's you know it's blue moon ice cream and then there's a red and the yellow ice cream i don't know what flavors they are delicious this shot tastes just like it and i would highly recommend ordering it if you ever can it's equal parts oh boy uh amaretto is amaretto amaretto yeah yeah blue curacao character blue curacao and uh bailey's irish uh bailey's okay yeah you could make that i've made it plenty of times i used to uh when i would used to when i would host parties when i would use those parties i would i would buy it in uh make it in mass and drink it like a martini who needs shots well you can have martinis of it that's a good point yeah hey wait i missed there was a there's a couple where's this where is it uh oh bck triple zero i love that shot there we go oh neptune versus ender three versus hornet uh that's a really good question um if you can get the neptune 2 at 160 bucks i say go for it i know i know a barebones under 3 is going to be 180 ish which is still fine i think that um i think i i think neptune 2 is the way to go just because it's so inexpensive and it's still moddable if you if you have the minimal amount of money i think i think that's it though i like this horn like i like this one i like the way it looks you know like uh if i'm going to have uh you know this out on display somewhere i think if your print is going to be out in an area where people are going to see it i would get the hornet that's just me because i like to i like things that look nice oh good yeah but uh ender 3 you know that would be my just because it's there's so much information out there for modding right yeah there's yeah i would imagine if the neptune if they could solve supply issues with the neptune 2 there's a really good chance that a larger community would build and a lot more mods would be available for it correct hey dr lovejohn that's right he is the one that won the dexter hd robotic arm during a massive giveaway and look at that he has it moving but he's still learning that's awesome that is awesome uh steve eckerman are you still using your deadlifts and do you prefer it over your i would assume you're saying raise 3d um let's see so the daedalus sorry about that the daedalus to me serves a different purpose so the daedalus is something that i get to experiment with and try with and just it's in my it's in my office at home and i i get to just do fun cool prints with it the the raised 3d machine the original n2 plus i gave to barnacules who then uh we gave it to pooch when he drove up so i have a pro 2 plus and i've got one e2 sean has the other e2 yep in michigan um the e-2s are probably probably one of my favorite go-to machines because of how bulletproof they've been i have a project actually for david my producer he's in the chat here i have a really cool project coming up and we've decided to do a quick little video on it where we're going to pre be printing something very useful for a team that he's a part of and uh i don't want to give too much away it's going to be really cool but the e2 it's been in my garage for months uh on and just not doing anything and so i i just i i uploaded a model because it was loaded with the right filament and i hit go and it's like it didn't skip a beat not at all nice it was awesome yeah when i was printing back things back in michigan that was my uh in in my uh my printing that's what i used i used if i was going fdm i was using the e2 i think it's on the second layer it's time to speed it up how fast you're going i set the feed rate to 175 not terrible but i mean it should be able to handle it on it's it's not like screaming right we'll see what happens i mean really we know what this can print uh well i mean we we peaked on the other side and we we got to see what drives it and we've replaced some stuff and so now it's just a matter of um getting a print done and originally this was pegged in an hour let's see if we can't do that a little quicker yeah tmc 3d time to increase the feed and flow rates which i definitely did go blue someone said it's pulling yeah where's it pulling up is it i don't see it uh the first layers aren't perfectly calibrated and so i'm getting some uh an interesting ridge line where the filaments meet but i think it's because my flow is off the flow is probably wrong can i just flow from here i almost pulled power again i'm kidding just kidding kidding oh yeah float look at that it's got baby stepping too increase temp maybe what i'm going to take the flow down to like 94. well you want to increase the bed temp to 70 i mean i can yeah is there a reason for it no just because that's what they used yeah okay that was just my i can do that i could do anything mattis 3d creation set it to uh 11.21 gigawatts yeah tfc 3d set it to plaid temps already at 210 and this filament melts really well around 200 so 210 is still technically a higher temp we shouldn't have a problem with it speaking of uh back to the future the flux capacitor makes a sneak peek that's right into the episode or makes a cameo in the episode this sunday i think it's a cameo right yeah cameo like uh like that cameo me and david guppy john stern set it to clipper with an input shaper oh input shapers cool so input so for 3d printing anytime the the head has to make a quick move in a different direction uh you're gonna get ringing or echoing or you're gonna see the little reverberation that the head makes in the final like sheen of the print it's just something you see it's like ghosting um there's something called input shaper in the clipper firmware and you get yourself an accelerometer and you attach it to like the head or the bed and then it performs tests at various quick movements and using the data from the accelerometer it knows how to cancel them out during the print so using that information you can print faster but with higher quality because it'll automatically it'll automatically adjust accelerations and and jerk settings and all of that stuff and it's just awesome like i love it cheeky b yes all the clippers layer looks a bit stringy yes yes it's just just a little bit it's just uh the filament needs some tuning which is fine which is fine this is first print right we're not always going to get the uh the creme de la creme i had to go guttural there with my sounds did you hear that yeah that's pretty good someone said it looks like you uh you collected bumblebee and took um a very small percentage of michael bay's fireworks budget to make this beast yes accurate or you can set up the input shaper close enough oh okay step live oh okay they can see you in the shot what they what they can and the camera and camera sean sean got texted because um so because i had switched out uh so i took the y stepper from this machine and put it on z and i took the z stepper from the sidewinder because i was talking about z but i put it on the y when i should have grabbed the i should have grabbed the wire i should have done the right steppers so if we if we experience any missed steps or problems with speed that could definitely be the reason but i can always swap around the stepper drivers after the video or once the print's finished and make sure that that the y stepper here is in the y and the zed stepper from the sidewinder is in the zed here right yeah yeah yeah that's easy yeah and also 0.4 right what nozzle's 0.4 0.4 millimeters that's right yeah it's putting out a bunch of uh material and uh this is a this is a material that isn't uh calibrated for it so we just chose it because it's green minty green captain jack did you get your doge gift did i get a doge gift whoa oh stand by i want some doge stand by now let me check let me check not for anybody else from from joel's you'll promise me 100 doge 100 doge hey i just got a hundred doge did you i just got a hundred toes that's funny hot diggity hot diggity i got 100 doge that's fantastic 100 doge well shawn you gotta you got to get a wallet first i have a wallet no like a like a crypto wallet well it doesn't what's doesn't nice ash give me one of those no no oh it gives you one for bitcoin but you should probably no i should good yeah okay yeah yeah that's all right it's all right you know what i don't know anything about crypto or mining so that's okay that is okay i just got a gift of 100 dogecoin which uh thank you thank you uh hojokono that's 50 cents no 100 doge 100 doge at a nickel is like 100 doge times a nickel five five bucks five bucks yeah five bucks that's five bucks it's five bucks hey bad wolf hs i bought my first 3d printer with dogecoin you did wow wow how many how many was that we have a friend preston he had he had just stupid amounts of doge he's got he still has stupid amounts of doge yeah preston a press reset he's got lots of doge lots of doge and he found it on a wall with like point three bitcoin in it from like years and years ago and you know now it's like twenty thousand dollars or whatever it is yeah uh point three bitcoin is is a lot yep because he used three he used david randolph i have a bunch of bitcoins but i don't know how to spend them oh dave he he used uh oh dave preston used 0.7 bitcoin to pay for a pizza that's right years and years ago he's just like i hate myself most expensive pizza he'll ever buy but that's okay yeah who's your favorite doctor um david tennant david tennant no it's it's a matt smith because he taught he's because he talked to my dog that's a lie yeah yeah i like davidson me too it's not the best first layer but look it hasn't been calibrated it's just one of those things also we use the ender three profile from bruce's license which is fine and a cap jack this is how we spend crypto by gifting it to the awesome that's right yeah if anybody i mean i do a little bit of mining and uh i i like my cryptos so if anybody has cryptos and they want to donate some to the channel i mean i've got my uh the addresses that i have those are all in the description i don't try to advertise it but you know if people see it then it's like yeah david randolph i know it's a lot i built a miner a long time ago and had fun running it but never got around to using any of it oh interesting interesting well i still hope i hope you still have that wallet whoa tmc 3d still hold the 50 000 doge that you mind but you ran a doge coin fountain what is a doge coin fountain i don't know what that is i don't know what i want it so i do have a video or a project coming up on the big printer it's going to be the last project on the big printer because they're going to take it back and they're going to house it uh in a place where it can guarantee better print accuracy and print succession uh and then sean is going to deal with them as far as setting up what what cameras and how they need to film it and stuff so that'll be cool but in the meantime i've got one project left on it and so i'm using some uh gpu crypto miners to heat my garage and we're on hydropower here so here are we yeah yeah yeah yeah we use uh it's hydropower john hunter how profitable is mining if you have a single gpu uh i know if you have a 30 an rtx 3090 and you just let it run on your windows machine you can get like eight to ten bucks a day worth of crypto currency like uh bitcoins through nice hash uh but my goodness if your line is don't put a video out on that you will get uh downvoted oh tripod hey you know what thanks for stopping by tripods garage is awesome you guys uh agreed seriously seriously uh steve buckerman my amir's heated my house yeah those things put out a bunch of hate man sponsor oh yeah let's talk about it oh is it time yeah oh sure we can talk about the sponsor so um the title of this is uh the artillery 3d hornet and pete's coffee first prints and prizes because pete reached out and they wanted to sponsor some content on the channel my producer david is a friend with someone who works there and they they were excited about it uh david said we have a stream tonight and peach is like well let's do this so uh if you go to pete's.com p-e-e-t-s dot com beats.com you put in code 3dpn 15 off site-wide uh there's a current code there for st patrick's day it's good to the end of the day my code good for the next 30 days fantastic also they're giving away 50 pounds of coffee shipped anywhere in the world uh one pound per person 50 people so 50 winners uh there's a link in the description if you go down there and enter then uh if you're chosen to win you will receive a pound of pete's coffee anywhere in the world it's a it's a great thing free coffee right what do we have free knowledge what do we got coming up sunday what do we have coming up sunday yeah we should have it on here like just stab laughs yeah yeah so sunday uh sunday is a really cool episode because um i wanted to have a cool design contest i want to have a really cool design contest something that would allow people who don't have as much skill in 3d design or people that have a lot of skill in 3d design to come up with some really cool designs for a very specific thing so we talked to thangs and they were up for it so they're going to host the contest and that's sunday so i'm going to give you all the details and you're going to meet some cool people because i've actually got some special celebrity judges and there's going gonna be prizes really cool prizes i can't wait for you to see it so that's sunday shawn's working on the episode well not right now right here but you know when he's home he's editing that episode and that'll be out sunday at 6 a.m also uh you don't have to win the contest to win something right so even if your design doesn't win oh well we still yeah we still will get into the minutia during the during the actual video but there's going to be a grand prize a runner up and then uh we take the pool of everyone who's entered and we we we drop them in for a specific prize as well yep so it even if you don't think your design is gonna win you should still enter because designing stuff is cool and you could win a prize that's all this sunday that's all this sunday high five from hungary that's awesome hey high five say i missed something here ah talon dark feather with a fiber high five any cubic motto x creality ld or frozen sonic mighty oh that's a really good question here we go the antiquated mono x is a machine that i have used and it produces great prints the screen does a good job and uh i like i like the prints that come off of it they look really really good i haven't played i haven't played with the creality ld machine and the frozen sonic mighty the only one i know that has one of those is uncle jesse so we'll have to you'll have to talk to him to find out you have to talk to him i do have the creality machine right there i'm looking at it it's in a box and yeah someday i'll get that out of the box i promise maybe on a stream we'll see what happens i hit a button are you black are we white what we're good okay what happened i accidentally hit the ftb button oh really my thumb was just resting on it and boop hit it but we're good now yeah okay good david says frozen with the ph that's correct yeah yeah so my producer david down in la he's got himself a lot max the lot max sc10 shark he does a good job with it in fact he just posted i think on twitter instagram uh he went to the dentist and they took an ex a model of his teeth and he was able to print it out that's kind of cool however he's interested in resin and one of these days we're going to get a resin printer to him and he's going to find the joys of resin i can't wait sweet fade to black i know right thanks i try jason gaglion yo this is my first time watching the stream hey welcome to the stream glad to have you so that that contest uh for the design is gonna run for two weeks yep right yeah the design is simple or the what's the way to say it without spoiling it the ask is simple and the designs themselves can be very simple in fact i'm looking at the design i made as an example and it took me 20 minutes in fusion 360. 20 minutes that was it it's very very simple but you can make it super complex and i i can't wait to see what people design it'll run for two weeks so i mean you've got plenty of time to make as many designs as you want but question is h does that encounter an entry yeah for okay sure does we can't show you designs is not a star wipe you're right it's not a star wave listen i'm working on it soon sure practical printing i'm not looking forward to david getting a resin printer because i know the local guy who's gonna have to support oh captain jack thanks for being here bud appreciate it good luck and uh see you later now this this design contest coming up on sunday i was a little apprehensive at first because i was scared honestly i didn't think it was going to be something that i could do or that i could design but i read the specs and then i i talked to someone who was like oh it's just this i said oh that's it and so i did a little template in fusion 360. i was like oh that's it okay and i just built upon it and it just it just it just came to my head the idea and i made it and i think it looks pretty cool you'll get to see it but literally it was like i was scared frustrated and then all of a sudden it just worked and i was like yes so i'm looking forward to it i think this is going to be a really good one see does the furnace say how much time is that this is 34 minutes um well it's like 50 of the way through so 34 minutes yeah it was originally an hour and i sped it up to 175 so we'll see speed one seven five for water ice uh aways uh the specs so i don't even you know what i don't have the link in the in the youtube no uh david put it in oh we did yep okay thank you david i forgot to do that travis stamper hello you know honestly uh it's quiet i mean i can hear the fan right but you can't hear us moving around with stuff which is great the movements are silent and i i'm not hearing any skip steps yeah are you um think you can take that that fan shroud off and replace the fans if you wanted to replace the fans uh yeah so they're just little uh squirrel cage fans yeah and they are of a standard size and then there are plastic plugs to go into the screw holes to hold it in place and so you could replace them i would imagine because the the fan shroud is injection molded but maybe we could talk to artillery maybe if this becomes a popular enough printer or or maybe if there's a community around it maybe maybe someone will design an add-on fan shroud for it i mean there are simple mounting points for it i can't see it being too difficult to make denise bertacci uh how's it going stl motherhood right uh what time is sunday's stream sunday is not a stream sunday is going to be a video yep and uh it's gonna go live at six o'clock in the morning pacific time i'm not going to be awake i schedule it the night before but 6 a.m pacific time this sunday 9 a.m eastern yeah 9 a.m eastern tanzanite tech nature stop killing horses to make horsepower i don't think that's how that works that made me laugh i don't know if it's because it's late and i'm tired or because it's just really funny but that joke something happened how's it doing all the time now 37 okay so it's a count up oh i see so it's probably got 20 minutes left yes yes uh garrick esser what board does this one use i didn't get a good look so we did open it up on the bottom and if you scroll back in the stream a bit actually towards the beginning because we got out of the box and then i cracked open the bottom you can actually take a look and sean zooms in on it and we'll see we see all the stuff and so you might be able to identify the board there zachary farb farbman would you ever consider doing a voron build absolutely absolutely i really want to uh simple electronics i know you want to go to bed you want to see the prince you could you could go to bed and wait and just fast forward in the morning or i think we're like 20 minutes out i think 20 minutes this is straight out of the box what someone asked is it straight out of the box or did you tune it oh yeah this is straight out of box this is straight out of the box uh demetrius apos apostolopoulos i hope i got that right what are the specs on the hardware uh there's a link in the description david put it in right yeah okay there's a link in the description it goes to the website for this machine at our artillery 3d and it should tell you all you need to know hopefully eric cooper this thing looks like a transformer gives him bumblebee vibes oh that's the truth tripod's garage hey are you still here i thought you were going to bed you can't oh come on teeperima a canadian 99 are you out of your mind eh smiley face was with some sunglasses i mean it wasn't a smiley face it was a it was a beautiful day today up to something in builder's mark straight out of the box broken fixed and then builder's mark straight out of the box repaired the imprint yep oh john heaton says there's a fantastic discord for artillery printer owner owners check out their artillery 3d reddit for invite links oh i don't use discord fotus mint i love that dude like a brother but we always used to chat via discord and i don't have discord loaded or logged in now and so every once in a while he pops in on twitter and he's like where have you been i'm like hey dude oh yeah discord crap i just uh discord is like um it's like irc i remember irc back did you ever do irc back in the day sean nope okay did you guys do irc back in the day i used merck right mirc on windows and uh joined up some some irc servers that was the day man those were the days simple electronics hey 3d printing or how's your podcast going it's not it's not but sean's local here and uh we might be able to get in the schedule thanks to david we're doing a little a little bit more scheduling and thanks to sean we got it cleaned up a bit in there so yeah so we could we could have a podcast area yep i know it's cleaned up but i'm still out of room yep oh i need more room bigger studio sporlock 1995 aol so uh i worked for aol on the on the aol instant messenger i worked on the team that made aim for the original motorola razer that's right i had a motorola razor months before it was released to the public it was amazing that was like the best time ever oh my gosh windows is just saying no no no don't restart now what why would it do that that would've been crazy george vieira icq oh icq i still remember my icq number three four five eight zero one i had a six digit icq number only a few friends i knew had five digit ones but man i see q i c icq jeez man we're talking about some memory stuff here that's fantastic hey maker vikings in the chat nice hey viking what's going on okay maybe maybe more than 20 maybe maybe 20 minutes now i don't know i'm not good at that timothy roller57911 you had a five-digit icq number oh you're you're awesome hey car did too andre had seven damian hit eight bbs with trade wars yes yes bbsing you guys are nerds i used to um when i grew up there was a bbs in tacoma washington called ammo cat because it was tacoma backwards perfect is there a way to replace the bowden tube so it's just a standard ptfe tube within this liner right here i would imagine it's replaceable you just pull it through i imagine where is that steve uckman i used to sis off a bbs oh that's good i spoiled i had muds i remember that do you ever play around in muds multi-user dimensions no jaded nightwing i happened upon a live stream for the first time in a while and now i feel old from the current conversation that's awesome oh my gosh that's awesome this is a good talk right here man this is like history super slow does the design competition open and close on sunday no the design competition this sunday starts on sunday and then it goes for two weeks you have two weeks to design the thing that i tell you about now show us the tube replacement when the print is done from nick darrow oh maybe uh talon dark feather but do you recall usenet oh usenet i do oh he's using that did you yeah i uh i had access to a hacked uw account at the university of washington account which i would log into to read uh news feeds on newsnet nice yeah eddie mosher fired ah there's eddie timothy roller with a fiver five bucks for a five digit icq number and muds there we go oh ryan barry any software requirements for the design no not at all uh you can design it in whatever software you like there are specific elements specific design elements and uh you have to take that into consideration but it doesn't matter the software you design it in as long as the thing adheres to the design requirements whatever you want paul patine remember lan parties god yes we still go to one ah yeah you know in the fall when if things are nice yeah those were good times man well go again oh tripods garage i believe you cannot replace the tube you need to replace the whole cable that's interesting i guess we can get clarification from artillery yeah uh also tripods guys garage you were going to bed going to bed dougal output file formats uh if we're talking about the design competition honestly like stls that's going to be the way to do it 3d printing newark can i design to completely improve your slicer using modifiers you sure can i have faith in you i really like this polymaker filament same it's that one so the the z height is 1.4 and it's supposed to get to 2. okay it's at 0.2 millimeter layers so take that for what you will look at that shot that's a good shot right there thanks good job sean it's been like that for like the last hour hayden knapp dude honestly why is the hot end so fat it's not fat it's big boned it's thick it uh well these are the fans over here i don't know it's the design it's how it looks it just looks cool it looks cool i like it i like it james goodrich this is polymaker's polyterra and this is the mint color it is biodegradable more biodegradable than typical typical pla so how much counter space does this take up well that's a fantastic question sean source me a tape measurer uh sure is there one like right there right here yeah is there one on the shelf no okay i thought there was that's why i was saying sources yeah i wouldn't toss it at you uh it takes up about you know this much honestly it's it's not too bad you do have the spool on the right side when looking at it from the front and that's going to take up some of the the width for you but on uh but i mean you might be able to mount something to mount the spool higher or something no i wouldn't go higher though right because it's 4.99 are you out of your mind there was a tape measure around here somewhere i'm not worried about it now okay no no no i'm not worried about it oh bobby little my first computer was a trs-80 with 32k ram and a cassette drive storage oh trash 80. my first was the uh my my grandfather hey foxbridge maker thanks for being a member so my first one i believe boy what was it it was uh hey thanks for stopping by eddie see you later uh let's see my first one was either my grandfather had a commodore vic-20 i remember i played with that was kind of fun [Music] um we had a commodore 64 at home uh my father borrowed a commodore pet from work one time and brought that home i don't remember if that was before or after uh my grandfather had his vic-20 or before or after the commodore 64. uh we had one of those old ibm xt's you know one of the beige ones with the two five and a quarter inch floppies up front uh i've played on that that was fun uh my first big pc that i got as a kid you're gonna love this sean was a packard bell 486 sx 25 with a turbo button that took it up to 33 megahertz yeah that was my first big one uh i remember the time i built my own 286 it had uh it had the ram chips where there were just uh eight you know you had the there were nine of them i think right you had the eight ships you had the parody chip or something like that uh and there were four banks and so i remember putting in each bank was a k so i put it or was 2 or 56 so i put in a megabyte maybe no no that was too much i think each one was like i don't remember that's right but i built the 286 yeah wolfman 244 what voron were you thinking about building that's a good question i i haven't actually put a lot of thought into it i just know i want to build one because i want to play with input shaper and i want to play with clipper and it seems like what all the cool kids are doing so i'm going to have to do that i had a compact presario no i'm back for sorry jeez it was my that was like my first family computer you know that's that's uh but like i built my own first my my first computer i built oh aaron f geared my first pc was the 486 dx up to something did you get the 387 yes yes so i had a 386 and i remember i was able to acquire the 8387 math coprocessor and if i remember right the difference between the 486 sx and the dx was the sx had the math coprocessor that was disabled and i think it was because it failed right isn't that what intel did didn't they have 486 chips and the ones that had the math co-processor fail uh they market it as sx with the chip disabled and sold it for cheaper and then the dx that had uh that had the math co-processor enabled or something like that and then it could jump up to higher speeds trying to remember jeez i'm trying to remember we know how many people have entered the contest do i know how many i could find out hold please i will find out how many people have entered the contest we are at more than 400 more than 400 there are almost 600 people in chat or right now so i would okay listen everybody in chat right now i know we've had our fun talking about the wonderful world of old-time computers but there's a contest going on right now 50 pounds of free coffee the sponsor of the stream pete's is giving away 50 pounds worldwide and to be entered to be one of 50 winners each winner gets a pound of coffee see what they're doing there go to the link in the description click it and then enter it's free free to enter and then if you're one of the 50 winners pete's coffee will contact you to get your shipping details for a free pound of coffee if you don't like coffee i get it it's it's it gives life but i get it all you need to do is give it as a gift to a friend or a loved one or just smell it just crack it open go so good ships worldwide uh 3d nexus worldwide uh hey joel so you quoted the price for
