Are You Kidding Me?! No Clutch Deep in the Backcountry

[Music] so we got a call for a jeep that has lost its clutch out in elephant cove kind of near the coral pink sand dunes and we're gonna head out there and see if we can get it drug back to safety and haul to the shop oh man what have we got going here how much more of this do we have unfortunately we are dealing with road construction what do you got there rudy sandwich i'm super excited this is the first thing i've eaten today it's been a very very busy day towing rudy's been in a tow truck all morning and it has not we haven't had a break so that's kind of breakfast and lunch right yep and probably dinner it's feeling pretty good today it's cooling down but we'll go get it that's what i was looking for we'll get them out the battery hey matt maybe i should teach you how to dance so when that accidentally happens you don't have to come from it maybe i need to teach you how to dance what is that kind of dancing we're gonna have a dance off here in a minute oh we're gonna dance fight hey rudy you wanna trade places now that i'm in this one is two jeeps better than one big jeep yes you can't see you can't hear you can't taste anything you can smell max and taste max me and max and french kissed i don't know what those guys are whining about i know i can't chew on my back teeth i'm trying to eat swedish fish chewing on my frenchies that was the weirdest thing i've ever heard you'd say what did you say man this jeep's eating this road up like none other it's not as smooth in here as the video makes it look once again i don't know what they're complaining about lizzy there it is so let's see what we've got going on here there's nothing left nothing left of that clutch what do you think rudy i think you can go out this way there's a road over here we can drive up and turn around and come back it's gonna be fun lizzy you're gonna have to keep up keep up i'm gonna be behind do you know you know rudy asked me once when we were recovering from here he said which way do you want the wheels turned and i said turn them the way we're going hey lady hey lady i'm gonna let you put that in because i don't want to i don't know how many times i'm gonna put up with that falling off of there once we'll try it once right so go ahead and start it so you got your power steering well you can just go down there wait for us to come all right jeez the steering is kind of going whacking just how do we always get this job randy how oh there's one problem with the desert southwest there's a lot of dust dust is not pleasant [Music] he's trying to turn around in the middle of nowhere i'm like this is what i come through on my horses sorry randy you gotta find those ahead drive this way i am yes i did and we're just gonna drift this whole entire way hey rudy how are you i did it here we are right back where we started gonna take a few trips to get the dogs back in shape all summer long they just don't get to go out much because it's too hot for them um we're gonna have to carry a little bit more speed than this are you kidding me okay lizzy i don't know if you can tell it or not but your steering wheels turn to the right so um try to keep it as straight as possible you can kind of feel just play with it for the least amount of resistance but we need to carry a lot more speed up this hill than we just did because we're in trouble right now i'm not excited about what just happened [Music] i don't know what to do aside from backing up and starting over with a lot more speed okay not yet though should have hit it with more speed can't stop it from going out i've seen enough yeah i'm gonna air down what's the plan we're gonna let some air out of your tires oh that'll help as soon as you hear that whistle put your finger over the hole okay you'll hear it it'll start to whistle go ahead there's the whistle okay now go to the other side what do you think was evil lowering the tire pressure oh i guess we'll have to see but it should help we'll find out right now we lowered from full pressure about 35 to yeah probably about 15. oh yeah yeah huge difference see randy i told you it would work we're going with like almost 15. [Music] well that shows you a different amount of flotation for airing down wow that was impressive what do you have to say for yourself what are you guys breathing hard for i'm not i'm just fine so what do you think about letting the air out of the tires of a vehicle you're pulling so that works for trailers and dead vehicles that made a huge difference yeah i would have got in if i would have thought it was going to be that good you better jump in because we're about ready to go in fact we should put the dogs in because we're going to be scatting out of here we're going to be using speed for a little while okay we're about to test some driving skills hey at least we have a windshield this time though it just kind of blows off but i have no idea where we're going and how to drive around the corners so yeah [Music] i know but sometimes i can't see the corner well you can see where the jeep goes so just kind of go the opposite way which is counter-intuitive yeah you got to get over as far as you can so when he pulls you it does it with [Music] for them [Music] oh i almost ran over the rope call this elephant gap right here so that was in there about seven miles so it was uh it was a pretty good pretty good pull out of there wasn't looking too good at the first yeah i was making some weird noises when you push the collection thanks for watching
