Not Again! Scout Truck Breaks Deep In The Desert Twice

so we got a call for an international scout that's disabled down on the arizona strip i think it's just a little bit south and east of mesquite so we're gonna head down there and see if we can get it out we loaded the jeep up on the trailer and ed decided to stay home due to the fact that he doesn't know how long this was going to take can't blame him for that we need a weather report it's a pretty nice day no wind which is nice it makes it warm um i bet it's 40 50 something degrees yeah it's nice it'll be fun and we'll get them out tim and rudy are following us down in rudy's jeep and i think it's gonna be a good day you can see the kind of support i'm getting from lizzie right now randy was doing the same not too much not too many minutes ago it's hard to do it right here morning lizzy [Music] how are you doing i don't know what's pretty good how are you good whatever they say you have an international scout yep 75. nice those are cool greg how far up this area other side of the mountains here we drop down into the other valley ah that by whitney pockets whitney pockets they call them red rock pockets or something at least on the parashant map but beyonce we just went over the top and we saw the red rocks and we pulled off that way we're looking for some place to camp and i think the starter died this road is rough enough that i have decided [Music] unload the jeep and save the power stroke for the highway okay just roll it back it's been a long rough road so far you said we had 16 miles 16 or 17 miles is what he said but we don't know how far we went no we're just guessing i figure we've probably got eight to ten miles at the very least we said the red rock area are you aware this needs to be flat toed out i know this road i've been on before in fact we pulled a trailer across here before sheldon's power stroke the stout 16-foot trailer loaded with four-wheelers arizona anthony this is how we came out okay lead out apparently eric recovered this last year oh really and then welded uh one of the shackles fell off out out by the school house yeah yeah so it says it's probably a bad starter so they stopped it look at some rocks and then came back and it wouldn't start and he said it's going to be quite a bit of time for their camps down okay so i'm going to leave you here to help pick that up and we're going to start heading out so it doesn't get dark on us [Music] expression we need to know about this nope he's in it we're going to want to be in oh uh transfer case is probably for low and that might be a challenge it just went into something that's fine that's fine without some part as long as this is in neutral we don't want to spin the transmission hey lizzy let's get in here and let's get turned around [Music] this one's pretty sweet huh yeah this is gonna be difficult oh gosh this ingrid's terrible [Music] can you feel how rough this thing is so you got to push on them with all your might instead of dragging them here [Music] [Music] [Music] okay so just pump them mostly it's going to be uphill for a [Music] minute is so loud it doesn't like ride that rough but it is so loud in here i need earplugs yeah it's not as rough riding as we thought but boy there's some rocket going on back there so we're at the peak right here starting down the other side well the brakes were all the way in i couldn't do anything are you pumping them yeah put it all the way down and low yep [Music] plenty of break [Music] yeah i don't think she's getting her back's not against the seat no no so she's just holding onto the steering wheel this will keep us from heating brakes too early on i think there might be one up climber all right kamikaze here we go that's right really nice actually you see it does got a lot of weight you can feel the weight in this thing it's better than i was expecting gnarlier than when we came in i must have been telling stories through here on come on come on [Music] awesome head on out look at that cave [Music] anyway [Music] come on let's go let's go let's go let's go you almost just about got ran over did he make it oh we're so close you want to race lizzy man look at that what a good race lizzy put it in race race racing gear the one that says hard in her defense there's no indicator yeah so apparently they got it rolling down the hill not started we see that four link yeah it has not started yeah i think right about here is where we want to be we might have made it across that bridge perhaps depending on how well you could have hit that car here i was like cruising down the nice hill it was nice it worked out pretty good we had to hook up four or five times before so rudy i'm gonna put you and him in my jeep and you can just pull me wherever [Music] well that's a cool truck yeah and you're getting a starter tomorrow yeah there's a stop i ordered it today there's a starter at the napa half a mile from here to be there at eight in the morning nice and the reason i wanted it parked out here is nobody runs over me while i'm crawling around in a parking lot yeah yeah [Music] awesome thank you thank you it's nice to meet you guys have a good one so we got out there found out where he was and man i i forgot how steep that mountain was so i was anticipating a really arduous journey back like really technical difficult take a long time but it ended up being pretty
