hello everyone I spent the last few days trying to make an organic polymer Farm I was inspired to do so since OB Raptors can now collect all the eggs that penguins lay so you can save them until you need organic polymer usually organic polymer Farms would attempt to be more automatic and have the eggs incubate and hatch after being laid and then the babies would be immediately harvested and the organic polymer would begin expiring the farm I made ended up being a 2X 2x1 structure full of 124 female penguins and four males the results really depend on your server settings though on official settings this Farm is kind of me the breeding cool down makes it so you don't get many eggs you should be able to get about 425 organic polymer per day from these 124 females of course the farm is easily expandable or stackable so you can make this on a large scale and get more polymer per day finally since you can save the eggs then you can just wait to pop pop them until the devs Boost the rates on the weekend sometimes and get more polymer then then I would recommend you put your hatching area outside the range of your OV Raptors so you don't have to turn off their egg collection buff and then put it back on you can move the eggs by putting a small teleporter by the farm Andor you can use a highweight tame like an RG or dayon to move them or you can use Tech leggings to move the eggs while you're encumbered to store the eggs you can put them in fridges highweight tames that won't eat them or Tech TR and you can set the feeding list on the tech trough to include and not actually include any dinos so nothing will eat them if you're going to mass hatch the eggs be very sure that you're there when the Penguins pop otherwise if they all pop before you're there you'll have to go and try and kill them at two frames per second lastly have a grill or two going so you can save all the prime meat and make sure you have a few inventories like a replicator or vaults nearby to put the organic polymer in so you don't slot cap and waste some of the Penguins so what will we be using to get the most organic polymer out of our baby penguins there's really only one Contender right now and that would be the pelagornis I tested every tame on the organic polymer resource gatherer list on doto Deck using every primary and secondary attack they have and they all give essentially nothing besides the pelagornis even the mosh chops will only get about one polymer per hatched baby penguin with 50 levels into melee and 50 special levels into organic polymer it's still just bad I don't know if it's bugged or if the devs really just didn't want organic polymer Farms to exist the Farms are kind of cruel but even then they tease us with the pelagornis seeming to be just good enough they have this innate ability to get just 0 to 10 organic polymer from a single hatched baby penguin and it really doesn't seem to matter the health or the level of the penguin or the melee of the pelagornis I ran a test of throwing down 100 eggs at a time and killing all the hatchlings and seeing how much organic polymer I got also in this game it shows how many kills you got so I recorded both of these five times per set of variables to see the average polymer gain and this is what I got I tested a crazy melee stat pelagornis and a level one penguin egg that I spawned in with admin commands then I tested a minimum melee stat pelagornis with the level one penguin eggs and lastly I tested eggs that I got from my penguin Farm which has all level 450 Penguins so all the babies were around that level and I used my crazy melee stat pelorus to kill them there wasn't much difference between the different tests and I don't even know if this would be considered a significant difference in the statistical sense because I don't really know how to calculate P values I really should have paid more attention in stats class also I did test baby Honus instead of penguins and they seem to give the same amount of organic polymer as the baby penguins but they are harder to tame and they take up more space okay so I'm going to show you how I built my farm and how was able to fit hella penguins in such a small area first you're going to line up yourself either looking north south east or west you can just zoom in on your map and do the best you can to make sure you're looking in that direction before you place down the First Foundation this is just a good practice to do every time you build something in Arc survival ascended now because with the oviraptor range being a cube that always orients north south and east and west uh it's just good to do that and then also breeding ranges are just like the oviraptor range and if you don't know what I'm talking about just go back and watch my oviraptor video it was my last video I'll have it in the description and the only other mandatory things on this I would say are these walls right here actual walls are going to be double doors and then you need to put a quarter wall right here then the rest can be what you want but I'm going to put double doors all the way around in case I ever have to come in and fix something and make sure that you at least put down all the doors before you start putting ceilings to create the second level of this but first I'm going to put down Penguins on this first level I'm not going to do all of them because I've already done this twice I yeah it's very tedious is what it is I'm putting down a ladder and Foundation here so I'll put my penguin here get on my ladder grab my penguin I'm going to walk into here and then I'll punch him into the corner make sure he's as far in there as possible and you can fit eight across and then if you're really really really persistent and lining these guys up perfectly checking their tails to make sure they're all within the exact same line then you can fit eight down once you get to the end here you're going to want to open the doors and probably cap this off like once you fill all of this up and then you're going to need this is really high up here so you're going to need some ramps and then you'll line up the last few penguins like this and shut the doors on them after you do that you go ahead and put in the second level I'm really fine bad at finding these snap points and then you'll just do the same thing with the Penguins here you'll just have to put a ramp up depending on where you're at I know you can put a foundation here to make this easier with the ladder so you throw your penguin down there get on the ladder Crouch pick up the penguin come in you won need these doors definitely don't move your mouse then you'll throw down the Penguin and line them all up once you get to the back here and you need to cap this part off and you need to open the doors to fit in the last few Penguins then what you can do here get rid of your ramp and go go ahead bring these around you can't have the doors open while you place these last couple and then you can place in your last penguins and once you place in your last Penguins you cap it off so you only need so all these will be female Penguins the only males you need will be in your third and sixth row and it will be basically so this is Row one row two this will be Row three and you'll put one female one female a male uh a third female a fourth female a male and then a fifth female and a sixth female so that'll be your third row and then you'll put two female rows and then your sixth row you'll do the same pattern of two females male two females male two females and as long as you Orient your uh foundations in this direction then the breeding ranges will be correct and you'll be able to get breeding on all the females um including the ones up top they will reach up there if you don't Orient it like this and I'm on single player so it might even be different on official servers it might be bigger on official servers actually I remember single player being smaller in Arc survival evolved so just see what your breeding ranges are you might just have to add in more Penguins as you go more male Penguins just double check that as you're going along so you don't have to go back in and fix everything that would be horrible so this is what I did you can obviously just put all the Penguins in like a circle and then put put some oviraptors by it I put my oviraptors on the roof you can put them beside it but if you just want to make it really Compact and nice and neat then this is the way I did it subscribe if you don't want
