Another Peggle Roguelike? - Hutts Streams Peglin (Demo)

what is up youtube we are here i'm snacking on a little parfait myself and we're gonna check out peglin which is a peggle inspired roguelike i think it's supes cute and i'm excited to try it out just a demo so we'll see how far we can go very slight aspire ask here looking uh map here's the deal i don't know the deals i haven't played it yet we get these rocks stone stone dagger what does that mean stone is damaged to crit four no special effects dagger is damage one crit seven very weak regular attack massive damage on crit okay once we get four things here we're trying to kill this slime that is 60 health i think each one of these little dots is gonna do two damage then i think the exclamation point activates crit and the r activates a reset of all the pegs we'll see what we can do here the aiming is a little bit different than pagle where as in peggle you literally put the mouse pointer on something it's guaranteed to hit that thing assuming there's nothing in its way this one there's some gravity affecting this you gotta guess a little bit more much more that [ __ ] i think the bombs explode oh that i can't get that no way i'll sneak this in here wait oh oh i almost got there there's a 90 health bat coming up the dagger does very little damage regular attack but it's incredibly strong and a critical hit if you don't think you can get the hit if you don't think you can hit the crit peg this turn you can discard the dagger by using the garbage icon near the orb information on the left why would i throw it away i don't think i'm gonna be able to get it here's to trying that's the wrong way bud that's the right way i like it nope you're not gonna get there i had to get the bomb though throw the cheese i gotta activate the bomb again what happens when i run under rocks i don't understand my crit is that loud enough for you guys can you hear the game another dagger that was really close i think one of the bombs off though it did 50 damage that's pretty good wait a minute the dagger went underneath him can we only hit him with bombs oh i can hear the groovy music oh my god freaking rip dude oh my rip the bat's eating me get a bomb get a freaking bomber cannot get that bomb oh yeah get that reset too kill 25 or do we want a bold orb it's big attacks pierces all enemies only hits enemies in the ground or passes through pegs while traveling upwards attack pierces all enemies poltergeist i like the piercing all enemies one the bulldog it's big so it probably hits a lot of pegs right probably it's like super easy to clear pegs i kind of like that you have a poker guys pretty weak though it's two four this is one two but i'm worried about the bats isn't this great okay i don't know what that fire in the middle means nor do i know what the skulls mean i don't know what that's about does anyone know what happens when i touch them here's to trying i missed i hit it i went into the fire oh i just take damage straight up what happens if i clear all the pegs though look at super peg mode you'll never know [Music] oh that shows my path okay that is like round guard we don't need to reset yet 24 28 32 i'm assuming that's damage 36 damage yep so it's counting up the damage as it goes dagger we need a crit on this one well seven damage fire hurts you ultor geist let's get everything oh it's a little mini thing and i missed the crit somehow not impressive damage i didn't need much to uh clean that guy off clean him off was he dirty loving this games is potato pie yeah this uh this is pretty cool very unique concept i'm going to actually go for the bomb here oh my god that lung my rock boom try to clear a path here to get to the r and the crit you know or the bomb i guess oh we're done orbsium dense hits each peg three times and can target any enemy on screen i get to pick where is that is it random deals an additional 0.25 damage for each peg hit this battle i'm assuming battle means individual like when i go down on the tree those are each battles can target any enemy on screen can only be used once per battle a mem orb like the idea of the orbeezium [Music] question mark i'm in your son of a [ __ ] or not oh yep back in you're re-declaring in the forest where the sun shines through brightly ain't no sunshine where she's come take a moment to rest yeah a few moments of sauce the sun beaming on your face leaves you feeling quite refreshed and you continue on your journey with a fresh bounce in your step um chest or death i kind of want to know what the probably mini boss is but free stuff is like you know like an item room i want to assume click an apple a day increase your max health by 10. sure now go skull [Music] this is a normal battle right the orbsium right or no pole torp geist the bombs just heat [ __ ] 90 health it's everything three times it only does one per two per on on the on the crit there man i don't know if the bounce is down i figure it was gonna hit this not as easy as peggle for sure get the reset too or not not doing that it's pretty awesome yeah immediately got stuffed don't you touch me i know karate [Music] oh gosh it seems so difficult to strain together orbs this bros got 90 help i was aiming for that uh bomb [Music] on i can't even kill him with a freaking bomb [ __ ] you frick frick oh my god this game is like so punishing oh it's like the actual worst you can use trash to skip the orb swolltorb upgrades each peg it hits plus one damage only used once per battle or inferno or three damage five crit lighter than the other orbs detonates bombs one hit high damage i like the idea of a swole tour but that sounds like it would be better i was gonna say with a smaller deck with a smaller number of orbs but not really because you don't use it once for the inferno orb mini boss this is where hearts died to seize it dummy bombs i don't think they come back when you get the reset [Music] i probably should wait for there being more enemies on screen to really go for the bombs i just tried to light the bomb it hits everything three times let's try to get it in there for the crit nice crit good job critting i'm just glad that you got that crit off it's just like pretty good okay crit on the inferno is five per [Music] pretty good but that one didn't pierce 120 oh another 120. okay okay this is a critter bust i guess we'll stick with bust [Music] decent bomb time though and there's the boss i'm assuming how does this game work it's working right now this is how it works the way that it's working oh my [ __ ] god you're so bad you're actually like the worst you should actually feel really bad about that we're not doing well enough goblin arranged [Music] [Music] this is going to hurt why are you such a ginormous piece of [ __ ] oh my god we're dead unbelievably dead drag them up and i don't know if i called out your tier one thank you for that because you are the actual worst peggler in the history of peggling i am furious we're super dead [Music] i just don't i don't know if i'm just like not strong enough [Music] we're dead and go what's this game called peglin relics of the name of the game peggle inspired roguelike starting off pretty tough here that guy just shoot at me you're trash pegman more like trashlin an unfortunate girl's name trashlin good time to send the bomb dagger throw it i'm not gonna hit that crit he shoots at you every few turns upgrade an orb okay the three six or one ten crit do it well this game sucks it's got potential but gravity's way too harsh some of the ones are bouncing harder so i think that maybe you're supposed to be really crappy in the beginning we did just start maybe it's a rogue light and you're gonna unlock better stats later i don't know take a moment to rest question mark question mark so far no question mark things happened to me cool glad that was there probably should have maybe well no the left part was a mini boss never mind i don't know if i can sneak in there and get that crit though i need it on this dagger son of a [ __ ] game's not out yet too they could totally rebound stuff like the idea for sure you know i like peggle so [Music] i should probably leave that crit and try to wait for my dagger to come back oh my god dagger is my last one i can throw one away per round though so i'm gonna get to it faster oh you know what it's ch it changes spots every time the crit changes every turn yep yep if i can hit it i should just always hit it by skipping it doesn't stay there well [ __ ] you too buddy my luck is just i don't know probably been the worst i've ever seen in any game in history i just reset what else was there click to aim won't fire as soon as you click dude there needs to be more pegs i feel like i give enemies higher health i don't even care but give me more pegs to hit this is pathetic it just it slides right through all the pecs so so easily [Music] i don't even know how i hit that side when i was going right for the crit [Music] really good really good stuff really i'm actually going to reset it needs more pegs or make them bouncier it's like the idea like what makes it fun what makes peggle fun is seeing the thing just go boop boop boop boop boop and getting like 50 pegs and you're like that's so cool but like you still lose like it's just normal it's kind of like when you go to five guys burgers and fries they just dump extra fries into your bag you paid for the fries it's not special in any way you didn't get a great deal no one actually gives a fine [ __ ] about your customer uh experience but you feel really good and you want to go back you know what i mean roll out nine months thanks for all the great stuff keep it up absolutely roll out like that's what i'm saying like you could give the enemies more health but then give me more pegs to hit it would feel better for me than missing all the pegs every time but it would actually make no difference in the game sounds like a toxic relationship with five guys i got a bat coming in but baby for rollout huh the grease from five guys makes my depression slide right out i can only hit this bat with the bomb so maybe with the dagger i don't know i'll see what happens one of the bombs please beggar does not hit it's only bomb there it is [Music] just upgrade a normal orb click on the flying creature to target them you can only target with certain balls in the woods you find it clearing with a strange tree directly in the center do not put your dick in that tree there's a hole in the trunk with brambles twisting wildly out of it honest hp reach into the hole which has been overgrown with rampant brambles oh black betty bramble ramble you suffer minor scratches and a brand ball level two is stuck to your hand when you pull it back does that mean ramble applies bramble on hit for two turns bramble deals eight damage per bramble level to passing enemies level two bramble so 60 in damage it's got three six on it it's that's already better even if it didn't have a special effect [Music] this game is weird i'm gonna go for the chest it's an easy crit so i'm going to get my dagger out did i just throw away my good one yeah i did oh well it would have been in six crit anyways with the other whatever whatever shut up let me alone 91 that's pretty good you found a brand ball these orbs will apply the bramble status to an enemy while bramble the enemy is unable to move and enemies that pass the stuck enemy will take damage and flipping bramble gives you precious time to deal damage from a distance dope for two turns he's stuck there so only for two turns enemies passing [Music] oh we are right slave makes the prime sub what if i threw this away i got a chance to get my dagger no i got my bramble and then it moved to the crit okay so by throwing away you move the crit very trash but that time okay it only removes it only moves the crit and the enemies move forward when i have to reload [Music] i'm going to get that reset [Music] be reloaded level three bramble or a level three this guy that's spicy flies bramble for three turns though i'm gonna go that i think i gotta go left here the chest double chest you reach a clearing that is an unusual that is unusually slimy you progress cautiously but still lose your step three orbs fall into the slime and you only have two hands which do you let sink into the slimy abyss stone level one that's actually seems that that seems good for me you instinctively snatch up an orb in each hand but you watch as stone level one disappears deep into the muck that's definitely from play the spire the falling thing all right i'm gonna hopefully get it you have to like have your mouse inside the rider at all times level three dagger high risk high reward well we've been flopping hard on our face bombs detonating one hit okay seems pretty cool what else if i detonate a bomb right now we'll never know i don't know how i missed all of those bombs increased damage from all pegs by one bruh from seemingly nowhere an inferno ignites in a circle around you there are two fireballs bouncing and circling around each other in the center of the ring grab the fireballs plus two fireballs -15 hp what's my health at can you tell me what my health's at no problem oh it's right above my head you grab the fireballs as they are as hot as expected for a split second then they cool as their energy flows through you allow you to stow them safely in your satchel your hands are worse for wear but the circle of fire subsided allowing you to leave freely mini boss and that's what that's new he [ __ ] up that's a lot of bombs in there but we should wait in fern orbs we had those before they're lighter than other orbs they were bouncing like harder in one hit which is not very special for me but they are high damage my level two stone level three no it's two so we should try to we should keep it oh my [ __ ] god might as well just reset it's over did not mean to get those bombs i need those bombs to the boss like are really actually super super super super super super super super super super need those bombs for the boss period endo story [Music] dagger just love being able to hit the crit feels good yeah it's feeling really good something's really nice dude shout out to dagger it's the goddamn crit you sonoma [Music] bramble that's gonna be good decent damage on the bramble too doesn't bramble him because i killed him thanks thanks for playing been fun a lot of fun you know boss not even a boss yet oh black betty rambo ramble [Music] if the reset brought the bombs back we'd be in business it too much to ask 84 damage to someone that only needed 12. feels pretty good hmm love that [Music] i need something that is piercing we're screwed it's over [Music] went right over it went right over it all that didn't hit the crit is beyond me for health i got this go yup oh that's the stuff right there pg i win it's the toughest game i've ever played in my entire life you don't want to switch to dark souls as a break from this never do a minibus just don't do it there's obviously some sort of leveling up mechanic that i just don't understand and we need to be like level 500 we're level negative four so just and never ever do a mini boss dark souls dead cells let's go yeah that's what i said you guys heard what i said there's no leveling up [Music] can there be need a skill tree right now i think i targeted the bat yeah good oh good good thing it's really good that's pretty spicy wtf is this peggle nightmare i need to get some bombs the reset's like a bad thing to get here because then you can't do the bombs thanks that's what i meant please reset the board for me yay good i'm glad i could read what i wanted without me having to say it in fact without me with me saying the opposite double bomb get bombed on poltergeist or icicle pierce one enemy crit hits pierce all enemies or pierce's first peg [Music] declaring with a strange amount of crows circling above you don't think much of it until they start to drop stones on you use your satchel to catch the stones free stones is not the best to be honest [Music] net it's another two stones since we lost one boom boom boom boom it's just more to get in the way of me getting to my icicle on my bramble [Music] too much stones is not that good to be honest i am aware of that concept [Music] i'm going to start brambling call the bramble scramble or we just kill him i think that the bramble should make a thing on the ground should make a thing in the ground god that was trash and uh it shouldn't be dependent on not killing the the dude don't you dance around that crit says the demo you got to cry for now you can't target enemies in the back maybe all right dagger level three let's go who do i want to go to one on the right because i get two of them into the fire probably totally fine but i think the game should let you choose which enemy you are targeting well i wouldn't want to target the bat guy because then they don't go through them unless there was like three people then yes maybe oh it's odd yes we're bombing not bad full health bramble there we go because of that crit not going to be able to guys not going anywhere though sometimes we'll just try [Music] but the gravity of this game is just it's punishing it's punishing and it's not it takes away from the fun i feel like i could be having you want to have a game that's not easy but you want to have a game with a mechanic that's fun to watch and play and be a part of suffering is my fun dagger he said a [ __ ] ton of damage 10 to 13 is not like the most crazy thing i've ever seen over to the right i just wish this was round card look at this dagger though i should probably go for the crit good [ __ ] crit good job everybody well done love that nice reset good job and then reset there glad we did it guess we're not hitting the bats for anything did not want to cost zero mini bosses coincidence here we are clearing the forest where the sun shines through brightly rest yeah i'm gonna go that way more items please stumble upon a mysterious altar you feel yourself pulled towards it and as you near it you realize you are holding out potential offerings one orb in each hand that's a tough one stone level one place is still number one in the altar but it sinks right into the solid slab of stone as your offering disappears you feel the other hand grow warm and you realize stone is now level two great we have a preference urine no cut off your hand sacrifice it from seemingly nowhere an inferno ignites in a circle around you grab the fireballs probably i need to get some new events as you walk you start to notice shadows dancing on the edge of your vision creeping closer and closer the instant the closest one touches your shadow you feel strange sensation and after blinking the shadows are gone you notice your satchel feels heavier and all of your orbs have been duplicated that's fine uh we didn't get any more like stones we have a exact duplication and now we reload less here's the boss 650 dagger with a crit to start off with give me a good one keep it going keep it going keep it going keep it going that was pretty good reset wouldn't be bad bombs probably bad now because i bet you there's more like creep anyways bramble didn't stop them maybe there aren't creep i don't know yikes eight damage i need to do a minimum of like 500 per turn okay guess we got the bombs halfway there and he's more than halfway to me they are here so daggers again you think you're funny [Music] mini bosses are not that bad you always get a relic after i couldn't imagine anything more difficult in this game than the mini bosses that's been the actual most difficult thing to the point of like i actually almost beat the boss i didn't even didn't even get like close on a mini boss didn't even get halfway on a mini boss so you could sit here all you want to and say it's not that bad but we're all watching the same game or watching rodrigo what if the boss had a second phase though and that would say they're about equal you blew all the bombs before the enemies that's on you buddy the map was set up that way map was literally designed with clumped together bombs in a circle so that you you do that that was uh very intentional on the maps part double reset should do something they have like the magical ability to just sail through and and miss all the orbs it's great [Music] what's the red path means it means more difficult probably on sharp fuse yeah it would have been pretty similar without short fuse because they were just right there and i would have instead of going like this it went like this you get that you want should get crits at random seems fair and balanced maybe level four dagger it uh only goes to three unless you're trolling me then it goes to four does that not go through [Music] good turn good turn you found a healing orb the healing always a great way to keep your health and spirits high it can only be used once per battle but if you discard it you can save it until later in the fight that's helpful information ain't gonna get that crit ain't no sunshine when she's gone he gets the crit no it doesn't oh oh come on you're already at max health you think i care am i gonna not doc dorb i could have saved it [Music] i'm just really bad or the physics in this game actually just completely neuters any amount of fun it's a bigger field with more dots more bumpers fill the gaps like peggle did yeah that's what i'm saying like so many turns i've had it where it just does nothing it doesn't just feel like it's a me problem two multiball healing two crit two [Music] gotta go left i don't know if i can go left that's all ask do heal a little every time you reload do hey that was fun look at that good upgrade 66 damage we can do better we can do better good crit ball good crit ball don't go over there what are you going over there for 120 130 damage nice nice nice no bombs in this one very tricky the heel ball toss it way better if i just don't crit this one weirdly enough or we should have cleared the path to the reset though get the reset you got this no i don't oh rut roll you're so worthless 25 health what can i say you're actually just the worst that's your job there you go just like hits the crit and goes falls off the ledge don't try too hard here i'm gonna go with the piercing enemies maybe [Music] super boots for each peg hit when navigating after battle you will either heal one for successful navigation or take one additional damage for miss navigation so i want to hit pegs but not fall into the fire let's totally do that two health healed at the risk of not going the path that i want and falling into the fire and taking extra damage that's that's a was not good that's why you're grabbing the fireballs you some kind of dumb [ __ ] wasn't i supposed to heal for that hmm it can choose not to work only after bath tiles two health man so good [Music] you done got melted son [Music] go big ball you can't miss the crit there's no possible way happen you gotta hit it it's almost guaranteed for you to do that thing i want you to do i think that this is gonna go pretty well eight damaged at 70. eight health i mean [Music] you gotta do better than that son [Music] gotta do better than that son some of them allow me to upgrade some of them llama get new orbs is that what the red or white path means [Music] beard rack five months thank you for that go last one's a [ __ ] hero [Music] this is a demo yeah it's a demo look at that another dagger is there a real way to heal after battle i probably should have healed you're right probably should have chosen the health option oh that's why you're bad and you're stupid you're losing you're dumb you're all so stupid [Music] [Music] master zeno five months high buds how's it going it's going oh snipe i should just fall into the abyss oh my god i was kidding it was a joke that was a joke that i said bomb give me a bomb in the bomb factory oh you're useless give me a bomb double bomb bubble bye it's hot oh you're such a piece of [ __ ] timestream multiball i feel like i have to completely obligated get the heel i'm completely obligated to go times three multiball i am i am trying i think that that might be a good move legitimately time stream multiball that was a bad move that one right there derpy dash four months what's up derpy dash how does it do that how does it fall through all the pegs it's amazing to watch that happen it's surreal where are you going boy yeah we're dead for sure there's no coming back with this many rocks [Music] see you guys have told you that was a really good move what you would have been alive had you had 25 more health also very incorrect also incredibly incorrect wrong again chat he's inside of the orb inside of the blob i mean and he missed you know the saying you can't hit water falling out of a boat imagine if you're swimming saying that you can't hit water just say just throwing that out there he's literally inside of it he literally has to move his arm and he'll hit it good job oh let's do some heels let's heal up he throws the bomb outside of it yep yep yep yep yep sensible why wouldn't you did you imagine not doing that chris which is always in the best spots when i get the dagger it's just really heartwarming you really get a sense of that the game wants you to win [Music] i'm starting to think that it's just not my luck that's the problem here if you threw it inside you would have died yeah i don't think it's my luck that's the problem guys split shot go [Music] and just like that you can see that i actually can't even hit a peg when throwing 17 balls cool uh it's got potential it's got potential but as for now i'm done playing this hope you guys enjoyed penguin let me know your thoughts in the comments section and i
