Animated Facecam Overlay Tutorial (FREE PSD+AEP) - Tutorial by EdwardDZN

hello and welcome back to another foot shop and objects tutorial today I will show you how to create this really clean animated face cam overlay and as always I will release the product files including everything that are made in this video tuna fish likes to leave a like and also panel food shop so in Photoshop let's create a new document make it 1924 1080 and have the resolution at 72 and the background color on black so create a new layer and go to our shape tool right click and make it the rectangle tool let's try out a basic rectangle shape and this window should pop and make it with 1280 and the height 720 and make it not a fill and make it a stroke and have the stroke on 23 pixels then the right-click and restaurants are rectangle press ctrl + R to bring out the guidelines drag from the sides and till they snap to the middle do the same for other axle then Center our rectangle just like that now take the polygonal lasso tool zoom into the corners and from about here click hold shift and drag to sides middle drag up to hit the guideline and follow the guideline well here as well then press delete' or backspace' just now press m and highlight this area press ctrl + J can delete a rectangle layer duplicate it by pressing ctrl + J and ctrl + T and the flip it horizontally drag it to the middle select both layers + ctrl + E to merge them and ctrl + J to duplicate them again ctrl T and rotate 180 degrees strike after middle ctrl + E to merge the layers so now you have the FaceCam borders so you can and create an herb mosque over it go to a gradient tool and make it a blue greyish tone for highlights and the Torah code blue fresh shadows okay and from the middle press Shift + right to sides by the way is ctrl + H to hide the guidelines so duplicate on our border bevel emboss and the style on inner bevel and the technique is chisel hard and the size and one pixel make the highlight mode overlay and white then in the glow as well we can make it go ballet and the size about one pixel get a new clip mosque over the gradients and medium brush you can use alt and dry to the sides to make it bigger or smaller and some white in this area the top as well and the sides and X to change the black dark around the corners then make it a blending mode overlay you can drag down the fill a little bit about 50% then make a new layer right click on the shape and make it our rounded rectangle let's get a basic thin line you can make it blue light blue then ctrl J to duplicate it ctrl T press shift and rotate it then use merge them and position it around here you can right-click and rasterize it a double click and you go to any glow just like so then go to outer glow' make it blue and the blending mode screen increase capacity maybe the size a little bit then that's duplicated control-t and flip it drag it to the other side duplicate both flip it again and drag it to the corners you can highlight all the layers press ctrl + G to make group select zoom in on the corners make a new layer and select the polygonal lasso tool again get a small shape just like that make it black position it around here and just duplicate it two times so you have three shapes then merge them took a click on how to glow make it a white to make it a bunny mode horde light and lower the size and highlight let's zoom out yep just like that duplicated mmm and drag it to the other side as well [Music] so now let's make a new layer over the gradient and use the polygonal lasso tool to create our basic shape is like this try to make it even on both sides you can fix that later oh and make it white I press ctrl + T and make it and make sure it's in the middle then I make it a blending mode overlay duplicate it again flip it 180 degrees drag it to the top duplicated again for the sides as well and on the other side as well so now zoom in on the left hand side go to the group we have these right-click and copy the lifestyle to make a new layer on the reporter press M for the market to let's make a shape it's like this to control them backspace to fill it in and yes we rarely see it double click and choose color overlay make it the same blue as this one right click and the best choice lifestyle then write it again and paste layer style that will click and write down the size on the article creat a new layer and make it a clipping mask choose the brush little bit bigger black on the corners and white in the middle and make it overlay please track down the film around 50 percents create a new layer over there mmm blue line choose black historic knit a little bit a little bit just like that then highlight every layer ctrl J and then ctrl T and flip it horizontally and drag it to other side as well yes like that can group folder and the blue lines just like that then name the groups to whatever you want then you can drag the shape to the face count so it's one group alright so for next part we'll do the bar down here that will show your donations and your Oreo recent subscribers or followers so create a new layer zoom in a little bit then ctrl an H to show the guidelines and control are you struck out the gannets to the edge of our border press M the keyboard for marquee tool just drag out a box something like that and gives fill it in with control them backspace to the new layer and make it a clip mask then go to our gradient tool and you should have the same gradient as before so from the top middle here is drag to the left corner to the new layer and make it like a mask go to a brush tool meet partially a bit bigger just black on the edges here can make it a bit smaller and rescue the drop shadow like that and then make it the blending mode overlay you can write down the fill till you happy double click on the bar layer make it in the glow just overlay and small size can you have to show grab it and then control an edge to show our guidelines and create a new layer and on that bar create the polygonal lasso tool and create a shape like that and I'm pressing down shift ctrl backspace you can duplicate it just flip it and merge them can you layer and we can accept a mask grab the gradient tool from the middle as well you can drown you can drag down the fell on the gradient as well double-click on the first layer and make it in the globe as well we can drag down the pasty a little bit over the equations make a new layer zoom in and then you can grab the rounded rectangle tool again and check out our simple bar something like that right click and rasterize it double click and use color overlay and sumit look at the same blue as you used before in the glow some outer glow perfect then you can select these layers and ctrl + G to make it the group just like that oh sorry I forgot something so making a layer over the gradient and make it a clipping mask as well can't write down the size of the brush make it darker on the corners and make it overlay track down the red a little bit do the same thing for the bar in the blue bar oh you can you also need to right-click and rasterize the layer style so make it darker change the white and make depending what overlay you can try down the field to around 40% just like that zoom in on the bar it's like the bar layer go to a polygon the last tool around here and press shift and just cut it so it matches the edge of our shape to the same thing on the other side so over the ball get a new layer so now we want to make a bit of a text logo or whatever you want to call it so grab our text tool and I'm going to use the font Plataea I'm gonna leave it in the description below and it's gonna top type out your name make the name part a little bit bigger just like that you can stack both layers duplicate them and then merge them then drag drag it below our real text layers press ctrl and however our like window you want to call it then is a click then you see the text is selected then go to select modify expand and spend by 8 pixels then ctrl + backspace to fill it in make a new layer and make it a clip mosque go to gradient tool again from the middle you strikeout down lower the film with that and all to make the name of blue color can double-click on it I go to a gradient tool make it soft light now pick it overlay in the glow and go to Alta glow let me keep the size of bigger I'm gonna make it the blending mode hard light like select a lighter blue just like that you see there are still some places that are not filled in so grab our polygon lasso tool and I'm just gonna fill it in like this thank : batteries hopeless feeling the black so when you're happy with your border double-click on like water to bring up the layer style and press the stroke I'm gonna use the same same blue color I have the position on inside and the size at 2 pixels looks something like this it's really clean especially for face camps you can set all your all your layers and keep them dragged into the top and it's position it we want it to be so now we're gonna create a the box where your recent donations and cameras will be so over the bar create a new layer swim in you can control an edge gonna create a guideline so it fits our text that maybe okay so grab your polygon the last tool again and press shift and from around here drag your guideline till around here then like two-thirds of the way you can drag a sideways and then finish it then ctrl backspace to fill it in okay so mohini layer and make it a clipping mask so we're gonna use our same gradient right through side and decrease the film so double click so double click to bring up our layer styles we're gonna use pattern overlay we're gonna use this preset and make it to bring a mode overlay this with sighs hello scale as well then cut a new layer and make it a cute mosque gonna use a brush small brush and white this one stroke ctrl + t to transform it can we get quite a wide just like that and make it a brain Ewald soft like and make sure it's over our gradients you know decrease the feel as well then control and hover over a layer and click so it's selected go to our bar and press Delete ok now looks really good so you gonna select everything really duplicate it and flip it to the other side control and select it and delete on our border or bar whatever you want to call it let's add our icons so for the donations I'm going to use a dollar sign and for a subscriber I'm going to choose a star so let's see sit flat icon you know such up dollar this download it as a PNG and drag it to Photoshop and drop it for now you know such a star as well just like that and you just drag it above everything start both and breast size both layers superstar can shrink it as well can double click make it blue same Lucy used the text and in red glow and some outer glow as well so we position it then we can right click and copy layer style and paste it to dollar sign as well take this dollar sign ctrl T to resize it [Music] so now we're pretty much done in Photoshop so you could leave it as it is and but I'm gonna show you how to animate it as well in of the vets all right so before we hop into objects make sure you have everything grouped so here I have the text logo the three points four points blue bars the icons etc and all you need to do is save the PSD because we're gonna use it later in artifacts just go to file and save alright so in our vets choose a new composition make it 1920 or 1080 or if you stream in 720p make it 1280 and 720 and change the frame rate to the frame rate you're streaming in so if you streaming in 30 to 30 here and eve's narration for 10 seconds yes okay then you drag your PC that you saved into the composition and this window will pop up and make sure the important is composition and the layer option is oedipal rage tiles press ok here you can see you have all the layers and groups from your PSD so just import a every group and then we can rename the layers to what they represent so you don't have the icons just right click and rename them to icons and do this for every layer so let's start off by making every layer a 3d layer as well as activating motion blur so press this like box on every layer as well as three circles playing click the three circles on top to activate it if you can't see this you press toggle switches it should be down here I don't know why I can't see it but it should be down here so first we're gonna make the shine on the bar down here so go to effects and presets and search up since the light sweep and drag it to your bar here you can see the light is already there I'm gonna increase the edge intensity and edge thickness around five and make the light color a light blue and increase the sweep intensity it's a little bit so click down to effects white sweep so now I'm gonna animate the sweep so at zero seconds we give keyframe for the center you can see this point here so just gonna drag it to me it can't see it anymore and around two and a half seconds later you can drag the same point I crossed the bar till you can't see it anymore select both keyframes right click give them assistants we're gonna eat system we can also use f-93 system I'll see it Alex right so now we're gonna animate it when it comes back so make a frame for that for the direction we get minus 30 and when you can't see it when it's off-screen make it plus 30 tell me can you keep in the center around to knob seconds later and try the same point set outside till we can't see it anymore let's see Alex okay so my mom is wrong with these a little bit I'm gonna get bit faster try to make it so it's even so when the light sweep finishes we're gonna animate the flip of the text logo so around five seconds four four and off click down on our text logo and the transform and because we activated the 3d layer we can now animate the XY and said rotation but as you can see the anchor point is in the middle we're gonna grab the Anchor Point tool or Y on your keyboard I'm gonna drag it to the center of our text roughly and as you can see it now flips around that anchor point is that so after the light sweep animation finishes create a keyframe for a Y rotation and about two seconds later let's slide to write to the hits one it's like that sighs both an F line to Aziz then go to graph editor and be sure you have edit speed graph let's try the right slider all the way and just a little bit it's like that maybe so let's see how it looks right clicks awesome okay so when the flip finishes around here we're gonna drag the CC last week to our FaceCam border I'm gonna animate that as well I'm just gonna mess around with intensities of the light sweep so click down on the face border effect CC light sweep and we're gonna make a keyframe for the center so dry the same anchor point to the corner around two and a half seconds later do the same anchor point throughout the corner till you can't see the light anymore highlight both and f9 to Easy's so let's see how it looks okay looks really clean as the light sweep comes across the face camp we can do the same flip like we did on text on the icons and because the layers are compositions we can double click on icons I'm gonna animate them separately and that's gonna affect on the main composition as well so let's start off by animating the store you don't ride anchor point again to the middle of the star like that and around seven seconds get the keyframe for the Y rotation go to one on half or two seconds later and try to write to flip it just like that and select both and f9 to Izzie's then go to our graph editor we get simple to drag both in words just like that don't see Alex looks really clean so if we go back to our main composition you can see that the star flips then go to back to our icon composition do the same thing for that dollar sign as well try to anchor points to roughly the middle and here you can see the anchor points from the star I'm gonna try to match them with the key frame for the Y rotation go to anistar finishes and drag till it sets one highlight both and f90 disease go to graph editor and create a simple graph like that it's like this so let's go back to see how it looks alright it looks awesome so we have animated the board and the light sweep we have flipped text to the light sweet for a facecam and flipped icons as well all that is left is to export them animation so we can start off by hiding our background and I click this layer to make it transparent go to composition and add to render queue I'm gonna leave the settings up to you but one thing that is important to change let's go to output module and change the channels to RGB plus alpha this will actually make it transparent so you can see your game play and your face then just click the render when you happy with your settings so if you come this far you could a really clean animated face cam and I thank you for watching this video and I'll
