hello everybody welcome to let's try my name is retromation this is domekeeper formerly known as dome romantic we checked it out in february and i adored it i thought it was fantastic and there is a new demo out and it has changed a lot not just the name there's a lot that's been changed since we checked it out in february and i'm excited to check it out here again pick your loadout here one more all right laserdome okay we got not available there's gonna be three different types of domes got gadgets that we can maybe unlock in the demo plant a fruit bearing tree consume the fruit to buff your movement and drill speed uses water three different characters two that there will be and then demo relicon search for a relic and bring it back to your dome all right well in we go hard but brutal or hard but doable uh should we start with hard but doable and then move to brutal let's start with that i feel like i remember that is what i that is exactly what i was talking about uh when i played it last i feel like those are my exact freaking words so yeah we can press space to sort of like collect these little pieces of gold if i remember correctly bring them back yeah this looks the visuals on this are quite different uh but we're just gonna be going through doing a bit of mining trying to find gold trying to find resources we'll bring over we're limited we can't go any further that way interesting so i guess that like flat surface there is going to be the limit the little marker so is this the flat wall too tis not that will be but basically we need to uh oh my god q to drop one all right i think that actually that may be new just limiting it be dropped to one so you don't move so freaking slow go go go all right but there will be monsters that show up and we will need to defend ourselves is there some kind of like is that like a food meter down at the bottom what's going on there what the heck is that all right don't check something okay so battle upgrades so that's where we're gonna need to sit when the monsters show up uh to do some murdering to do some destroying i'd ideally like to find a new oh my god we got a oh a new vein of something [Applause] we're getting this okay there's something that's attacking we're getting we're getting attacked go go go go go we're getting attacked should i drop the stuff probably should have dropped the stuff we got attacked immediately all right move get off my thing that's not a good start not a good start exit exit we gotta hit q twice there so yeah we're we're basically trying to manage our time get resources do a good job we gotta go back up and get you know maybe we should just uh head back with the next time we find gold here we'll go for like i don't know it feels like it's too much four is four is manageable it's probably like a decent chunk know going for four at a time got like a little fruit that was the thing that lets us move faster underwater i think it said either way let's bring back the gold hit space next to it to consume it let's uh get that in a sec so now we got our talent tree we have 12 gold display the time load until hostile life forms arrive there's stored resources even when not in the upgrade menu dome structural i don't know if i want to see the integrity uh increasing the health is actually not so bad but there's a lot of different upgrade trees and we will find different things over the course of time different equipment that will also have its own upgrade tree so pretty wild so drill strength i i like the idea of a faster jet pack uh care i care more could be nice but yeah just moving faster seems like a good call um dare i say if we're gonna get the structural integrity let's at the very least get that repair your dome repeatedly with cobalt that takes triangle that takes triangle resource all right propellant lasts for longer so we have cobalt which i assume i assume that's the blue one is cobalt uh for this but we don't have enough gold at the moment let's close out twice there are we have we have a lot more integrity than i thought we were doing a lot better oh my zip zip dude oh my god i'm not trying to not trying to drill too much there but let's go back with the four yeah i think the jet pack speed like the base feet does actually help a bit here not like a ton ton anybody coming somebody's coming uh let's go for the upgrades and let's get drill speed no we can't do it targeting such delays are showing where it is aiming i should be fine on that all right nothing that's really going to be helping us here go go go go go go go get out of here pain pain pain pain all right so we can go exit out go for upgrades maybe we go for we can't get the repair could do something here um the propellant lasts for longer do we get one every ah that's what the little stomach is that's the fruit growth time hmm i don't have another i don't know if i care about that right now like that seems to like i feel like i want something that's going to be useful more often uh give me more clusters and pick up more at a time and it won't be a problem i feel like we shouldn't be going so far down at this point it doesn't really make a whole lot of sense if you're doing it that way i feel like having a uh mine shafts is good for reasons we will show later if we manage to get lucky enough to get that resource oh triangle juice why is it juice don't worry about it take it back take it back back go go go go go go go go go go what did we get with this uh the upgrades pardon the dome so it takes less damage nine percent less damage or repair your dome with cobalt it might be a good idea to like repair it repeatedly is that implying that like this will just stay here and we can just keep on tapping it and it will also cost cobalt or what's the deal with it because it looks like it's it looks like it's healing it but it may completely use up our cobalt resource to do so that's probably fine no it's it's still here it doesn't look like we purchased it like the line did not solidify so maybe cobalt is the triangle stuff that i mean that makes sense based off of the menu there for sure but cobalt is to my understanding a bluish like a bluish gray i resource there was somebody here i guess not oh man we're doing this wrong it's okay it's it's slightly sub-optimal but it's fine do we hit the wall we do not hit the wall here it's it's sort of like fans outwards interesting yeah we're able to carry like a lot more now go back up i feel like we're going to be under attack oh that little music upgrade or whatever change is quite interesting who the hell are you uh i'll get you first you're currently attacking oh that's so slow oh my god it's so slow you get out of here all right upgrades what else we got even more integrated i feel like we want to go with something lower uh this does sound nice i don't know if it's like immediately importance power up more improve the power of the laser faster drill speed is probably a good thing to go for i feel like i'm okay right now we have the cobalt we have the ability to repair again with i guess cobalt i i guess is what that shall be okay all right start mining let's see how far okay it goes pretty far we can do it right like this theoretically we'll be all right this is a different material is the wall yeah that's uh that makes it tough i don't know when the to fan out because i don't know when the wall uh branches out [Music] okay can we get all this it's too much oh it's the classic conundrum it's this whole game is the classic grocery bag from the back of the car conundrum should i take more trips or should i just destroy my back on this one trip it should technically still be faster to take all these but boy it does not feel very good to do but it should be technically faster yeah all right upgrades so yeah we have lots of this stuff i guess maybe we do go for a little bit of that maybe maybe maybe not to get the laser speed so that we can swap between monsters quicker uh could be nice damage is also nice speed well firing oh moves it moves slower while firing as a result of this uh upgrade but i feel like that's not that big of a deal just stop firing if you want it to move faster but i think of just things are dying pretty quickly and i feel like that's a good enough call [Music] oh my god i feel weird about taking that fruit right now when i'm probably not going to be able to do uh too big of an expedition here oh my god all right i need to i need to get that stinking upgrade it tells me when they're attacking me i need to get that upgrade you must go look at these guys are new oh they're cute okay so how much do we need for that upgrade is it it's two all right fine fine that'll be the next thing we get i also want to dig straight down here so we have a nice clean straight uh line for reasons i will again if it is relevant i'll i'll talk about it but all right we want to go in rows of two here what the can we get this is this the uh this is the equipment upgrade or something oh is this this can't be the artifact capital a right no way [Music] no okay maybe it's a piece of it but i think that this is equipment let's bring it back i think this is uh an equipment which is basically like a passive upgrade for us we shall see though pick a gadget yes here we go a laser that will stun small monsters automatically shred the gadget to gain two cop so this is cobalt am i wrong isn't cobalt like a bluish gray rounder kind of a sub i guess i'm out of my mind install a probe into your suit which can reveal nearby sources manually triggered needs to be recharged at the probe station hmm i'm gonna go with the stun laser i think for now okay so we have we have it on good authority that cobalt is indeed the purple one that makes sense based off of the uh the descriptor but it doesn't make sense based off of what cobalt is but you know whatever it's fine it doesn't really i ain't no cobalt expert so i'm not gonna i'm gonna nitpick okay so we got that so we go right here somebody's attacking is it getting laser you know what let's just go up through here it's gonna be quicker stun laser please oh it's doing work it must be ah no it's not doing work oh my god that ain't great okay so it's fine go back upgrades i can't wait to get that timer can't wait to get that timer it's just it's a quality of life thing is it necessary and then probably not per se but i'm gonna say for us right now yes please okay so it fans outwards oh my god all right we'll go we'll to trip it we'll two trip it we'll go up we'll bring these in we'll put down the monster checker maybe we'll use our stinking fruit can the fruit not spawn more than one at a time i thought that maybe we could like get a couple reserved but i i suppose it's sort of looking like that is not the case unfortunately for us there's the monster tracker that's gonna be so nice to have uh deals okay stun laser moves faster simple ai will activate the stun laser even when you are not inside the control station that's huge uh now does a small amount of damage to targets also sounds very useful so like there's a chance that they that will do a little bit for us even when we're not there all right like it may take out a unit i know that there's a chance it'll obviously work all right i just have my boost right now let's go a little wild for a sec all right yeah the time the timer is incredible it's just it's so needed so needed let's go for upgrades here we need some cobalt for that uh cools down faster shoots for longer sure then we got three do i need that i feel like we're probably fine so the cobalt i think is exceptionally uh a rare resource so i believe we've we've done a wasted moment what's that doing working i'm trusting you laser you are made for small units nice out with it all right so that's the wall okay it's not the most clean uh mine shaft you've ever seen not even remotely close but i just don't know how how it fans out it's hard to plan for the most optimal uh optimal path and optimal layout until we know because yeah that's that's a limit okay it's like every x amount like there will be a solved way to do this yes see now it goes out further but now it doesn't wait oh it's just maybe it's procedurally generated like whether or not it goes in or out i don't know good we got the i can't believe it's not cobalt for later oh boy this is feeling like a silly mission about to happen okay we should be we should be fine like our little itty bitty laser should um should stop anything for a moment before we get back if need be go go go go go yeah he's doing some work for us see there we go battle come on little laser i trust you little laser thank you thank you very much exit upgrades uh okay we got six we could we could get the power of our individual like our laser up i don't know if we need that though if we have the big boost to everything else already i feel like upgrading the fruit it i don't know why it feels like a waste it doesn't feel like something i want to be doing i think just getting player upgrades gonna be a little bit better let's go for that brute down go go go so this way we're checking we're checking two at a time no overlap no overflow this being said i do kind of want to for my oh let's see there you go i want to get down here and get this stuff too though can i get oh i think it's going to be at a limit all right fine we got a little bit of triangle action though bring it on back so you can get some kind of drill upgrade jet pack maybe a jet pack ah let's dig faster we could also get something here now that we have the cobalt or we could repair oh my god well uh we're fine for now let's maybe try and wait and see if we can get the hardening instead i think that would be better all right just go straight down quality of life of uh future expeditions we will appreciate having that nice clean passage they're basically fine i'll finally say there's a tractor beam upgrade you can get okay i see that the monsters are coming there's a tractor beam upgrade you can get and it needs a a clean line down to absorb your stuff back up to your base get wrecked oh that well that's gonna be it's gonna be more of a problem [Applause] okay exit out we have anything worth upgrading at this moment three three one next i don't really feel like upgrading the freezer done i thought it was done it looks like it's maybe like almost done good carry weight would be lovely [Music] this isn't the i thought that this would actually feel terrible not trying to mind like this well slowed down it's not that bad because like the bounce back is less severe i feel like we have some definite un tap space to the left there because i thought that it was fanning out in kind of like a reverse cone shape or something uh upgrades give me some like uh some carrying strength how about that carrying strength and i'll tell you what let's be wild let's get the upgrade go go go go go go [Music] that's just for life like that's just like it looks bad i want to fix it nice okay all right same same deal i think it's gonna be quicker to that and a little bit of that so now it's going to take less damage and also we healed it up a bit okay so that should be really helpful here's the thing it's about pushing the limits obviously like we're pushing it's probably a bit too much but the game is it's quite literally just about seeing how far you can you can push things you know you gotta risk a little to make bank okay those are all starting to fall down a little too far for me okay tractor beam would be very very cool go go go go but we can't get it yet um what does this one do second oh we can pick between one second laser turret but splits your firepower between both of them interesting i think it's time to get laser damage though we got down here should we get like a fruit growth time minus 40 percent fine fine it's getting it's going to get to the point where those upgrades are like not too bad like they basically they're nothing it's going to get to that point okay we ripped through these a little bit slower but it's also important to note that this material does indeed take longer the monsters are coming uh take this and go thank god i i was like if i saw another chunk of gold there i was gonna be kind of i was actually gonna be kind of upset we lost that one oh we're gonna lose that one too oh boy it's fine we don't have time to care i trust you i trust you help her laser boy i no longer trust you you can't get to the side fast enough good [Applause] what do we have for upgrades we got five fine oh and then we get to pick one oh that's that's kind of fun i really like what they've done with this like it's it was already good they've really they've really cleaned it up further polished it up quite nice man doing it the standard like technically optimal whiny comment way is unfortunately a very good way to get all of the gold chunked up like when you're playing minecraft you don't have to worry about your gold getting caught on an edge you know you don't have to worry about your diamonds getting uh caught because of a tether because of a weird jank angle man maybe we just like maybe just break all of this on our way out that may be more optimal upgrades seems like we're getting most of those in sections of two so i'm fine with doing that you can pop down get the final upgrade for the stinky stinky fruit get the stinky fruit upgrade go go go go go time is limited even we just break all this stuff and get it out of the way like that's that's a worthwhile trip yeah it's starting to get like really ridiculous all right that's gonna have to be good enough unfortunately break a couple things on the way up push our luck just a little bit battle where yeah jerk just gotta look where my friend's going i'm gonna trust you you just can't spin fast enough to get them oh my god i don't know i can't trust the little laser pal he keeps on going to the opposite direction that i want him to this is bad well this is bad i was i was up here and i was ready this is bad all right well i'm already over here that's no good i was up and ready baby so that's a bad sign next um the next wave is going to be disgusting should we should we be just like going down deeper like are we taking too much time i don't know maybe they were taking too much time down below we need to and we're like spreading out too wide we need to go deeper to get the artifact like there's got to be like sort of a soft enrage timer in a way whereas like at this point you need to be really strong otherwise you're gonna get bopped oh no [Music] all right all right stun laser it's not ready oh god well whatever i feel like it's sub-optimal to go deep i feel like it's just the materials start to get more and more expensive that being said i bet you whatever the thing we need is down here zero percent going from zero to three i feel like the math doesn't check out on that can't calculate that but all right um get the fruit go deeper go we bought ourselves a lot of time there i feel like wasn't it over here a little bit of gold there i thought that that was like a little marker that said there's something over here maybe it is kind of is this actually the edge of the map that's like yeah that is the edge of the map just taking it with me there we go uh i don't know if we're gonna be able to really take that much stuff let's just let's just break our way straight up so we don't lose too much of this it's already gonna be really awkward it's like let's just break it there we go this is a juicy haul i need to be able to carry more stuff though as we get deeper the veins are bigger so we need more i want uh less damage taken and then give me a higher carry strength i guess we could go for speed too i guess again basically no time at all but let's just it helps us get a gauge for what it looks like what the level generation looks like so all right battle i'm ready i'm gonna be on the other side of him just because it feels like we're getting swamped by both sides double lasers or maybe yeah i mean it's hard to say double laser would have helped and so would have a stronger laser both things would have helped there actually a lot man is this what if this is not actually the edge and there's been stuff here the whole time nope okay gold just bring it all back just bring it all back bring this all back do something else maybe the fruit will be ready the fruit will not be ready also it looks like there is maybe a reason to mine out even the empty spots because you might find the data ship that way let's just go wait ah i want to leave i need four gold i double lasers so bad sir thank you man run will have like their own strengths because of like the uh the little things you pick up but man ours is that little stun laser and it's certainly helpful no it it funnels back down weird i don't know what to do with that information boost is gone okay if we're good at anything like we invested any of our mining resources into anything it is carrying lots of stuff at the same time and that's why we've got this nice clean shaft nice clean shaft goes that nice clean nice clean shaft to go straight up it would be nice if i had time i would love to make it a two wide that would be lovely okay what we got probably don't got enough of the 20 bopper i doubt it a heel sounds nice just in case i don't know how bad it would go one heal save the rest what do we do like i don't know what to do with the water i guess like that's the thing is that's why i could have gotten the bombs or whatever because who really cares about using up my water i'm hitting something i'm terrified of what this guy would do if he made it to my dome so i can't risk it oh the little guys like that's the only time where that's it where it feels like the um aiming reticle would actually help us a bit it's not that bad okay use our boost go all the way down use the boost let's clear out over here i feel like wherever we find the special like artifact [Music] look that would normally give us an upgrade item oh no is probably where the big end goal game item is right now this is shaping up to be a very bad outing let's at least get this stuff shaping up to we once we get all four we're good or something i don't know pick a gadget teleport deep into the mind after upgrading it can also teleport your resources there's not for your resources there's the lift i feel like since i got i i didn't get that for so long i don't need it too much oh my god use a teleporter station to teleport oh boy i thought i was clear where have i not found one there we go we can teleport down but we can't teleport up right is that is that correct there's the teleport station that would be bad what you doing do i trust you get him get him guys destroy come on little laser boy i'm just terrified that big boy is like a one shot oh god yeah ain't doing doing it over here man [Applause] all right what do we have for resources now anyways also what's the upgrade like uh wait where's the teleporter okay two and two you can now teleport from the portal back to the dome slowly suck up resources so it's one of the one or the other sure okay i'm i am now confused about where this special artifact might be i thought it would be here i'm now confused should we check the other biome i guess oh oh oh oh oh this be it baby this has got to be it do we have to break we oh my god this is it oh my god i'm scared do we just need to dig it out oh god the monsters we have the teleporter though we i think we probably have to bring it home [Music] oh no [Music] oh my god i see [Music] your dome is saved waves survived 23 monsters killed 135 46 minutes destroyed blocks blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah it's nice that it says all this stuff though uh repellent install a brewing tank replacing the repelling liquid oh producing a repelling liquid release the repellent to delay the arrival of the next wave using water oh that's instead of what the
