I’ve played a lot of Breath of the Wild. It is one of my favourite games of all times
and it seems that I’m not alone with this. Players all around the world have tried pushing
the game to its absolute limits and therefore discovered lots of ways to break the game’s
logic. I have spent the last couple of weeks recreating
almost all of the glitches there are, which was no easy task since some of them required
playing through the entire game including the DLC twice, others required frame perfect
inputs and took me literal hours to pull off. I guess I should place a story spoiler warning
here? I’m going to show the bosses and a bit of
the story, so if you somehow avoided spoilers or playing the game for the last three or
four years, go play the game normally first. It's way more fulfilling that way, believe
me. Also, none of the glitches, except maybe a
few weird random things, were discovered by me. And while I might be explaining a few of the
glitches and giving tips that would have helped me, this is not a full tutorial on how to
perform all of them. I will link a lot of helpful ressources in
the video description from which you can learn how to do them yourself. I will aso place timestamps below so that
you can quickly find what you are looking for. Oh yeah, all of the glitches work on the latest
version of the game, so yes, you can perform all of them on your own. I will show them off in no particular order,
but group them when it makes sense. We are going to be here for a while, so sit
back and relax. Now, let’s get started! What’s the first thing you do as a normal
player? Starting a new save file of cause. So that’s what we are going to do as well. This leads us to our first glitch: Scope clipping. A scope clip is one of the many ways you can
clip out of bounds in this game. Performing this is pretty easy, all you need
to do is find a wall or a corner that Link can run onto while the camera faces the opposite
direction. Now spam your scope button until it lets you
through the wall. This can be a bit tricky to pull off and does
not work at any wall. But here, in the shrine of resurrection, it
does work. Speedrunners use this clip to skip a few cutscenes
that would be coming up otherwise. This is not the only way to clip out of the
shrine, but more on that later. First of all we need to get out of the ground
before Link freezes. To do that, simply climb up the mountain and
you can sneak out of the ground. Performing this skip has a few consequences. First of all, the time of day will always
be stuck at 5:15 am, meaning it will never rain and it will always be daytime. This sounds pretty cool at first, but for
daytime based quests like a few from the DLC this can mean that you can’t progress further. Also, the old man won’t be sitting there. If you were to run back up the slope, you
could activate the cutscene making the time progress again. But I won’t be doing that here since I do
like the idea of having no rain during my playthrough. 07 The next useful glitch will be the sword
smuggling glitch. It is useful for a few things, but speedrunners
mainly use it for the Hateno blue flame quest. The game thinks that we don’t hold any weapon
even though we are which is why we can use the torch and do pretty much anything else,
like sprinting or paragliding. To do this, spawn a bomb and place it in front
of you. Pull out a shield and the weapon you want
to smuggle, press B to put them both away again, but in the animation of putting them
away, unequip your shield. Then simply pick up the bomb and throw it
away. There you go! It’s that easy. This makes the quest way easier. And since it never rains we don’t even need
to wait at a campfire until the sun comes out. 08 Speaking of smuggling, we can also smuggle
items. Item/Hold smuggling is a bit more difficult,
since it requires us to perform a frame perfect pause buffer. First, stand shoulder deep in the water. Then hold the items you want to smuggle and
spawn a bomb. This is easier if you jump at the same time. After detonating, you will need to pause on
the third frame, where the explosion looks like this, a hollow center and white all around
it. Then teleport anywhere. Link will now be seeming to hold items in
the inventory. We can use this glitch to dye our clothes
into any color with any material we want, since we already hold the necessary amount
of items. Also, did I mention that you can never have
enough apples? You can get a total of 1004 of an item type
by having 999 of it, hold smuggling 5 of them into your hands, collecting 5 new ones and
pressing B to put the ones from your hands back into your inventory. 09 Okay, so where were we? Oh yeah. We wanted to play through BotW completely
“normally”. We have just lit up the furnace, so let’s
get the camera rune. It’s required for other glitches we want
to do later. After unlocking the Sheikah Sensor +, we usually
obtain one or a few images for free after talking to Symin. If we however sell a certain amount of items
in Hateno, we will obtain this amount of extra images for free! This is the free images glitch or easter egg. Now, before we can continue, I need to show
another glitch that is really cool on its own but is also the basis for what seems to
be half of the other glitches there are in the game. You might have guessed it by now, it’s the
moon jump glitch. It basically makes the game think that Link
is on the ground the entire time, so we can do everything that we can do on the ground
in the air as well. Okay, there are some exceptions but we will
cover those later. But of course: this includes jumping. This means we can simply jump in the air after
we already jumped. This is really cool, since it allows us to
basically fly anywhere we want. But be careful: If you start swimming, your
stamina wheel will no longer refill after you get out of the water. You will need to save and reload or warp somewhere
to fix this. And, if you touch a wall, you will no longer
be able to walk properly, to fix this, simply hold an item. Oh, and don't jump-slash downwards, since
this will make you be stuck forever. Until you warp of course. To perform the glitch, go to the mounted archery
camp and start the minigame. Then, turn around and head onto the cliff. Position your horse around the bush and wait
until the timer hits 12 or 11 if you don’t have that much stamina yet. Then, jump off and trigger your paraglider. Press X multiple times to make sure it triggers. Glide towards the horses. Most tutorials show Link gliding downwards
slowly but I found it easier to disable the paraglider above the horse and land on it. This makes it so that the horse does not have
that much time to notice you. And make sure to land on a horse that only
has one color, otherwise you will be taming it instantly which we don’t want. Then, simply wait until the timer runs out. When your normal horse stands there and the
one you landed on moves backwards, you know you’ve done it right. If not, simply retry. Then warp anywhere you want or load a save. Congratulations! You can now fly. The cool thing is that this glitch persists
through loading, death and even master mode and normal mode switching. We will use this later for a few other glitches. To disable the glitch again, simply ride on
a horse or on your master cycle zero. Oh yeah, believe me, we will be doing this
glitch a LOT. A side effect of this is that Link’s respawn
position doesn’t get updated any more by simply walking around. The only way to change the position is warping
to a shrine or anything else. If you have the DLC, this gets even more powerful,
since warping to your medallion makes it so that the respawn position doesn’t change
by warping to shrines any more. That way, we can travel to shrines without
worrying that we might change our respawn position. We will respawn at that position if we void
out, meaning drowning, falling into endless pits or walking into the fog in the korok
forest. You will be seeing this glitch a lot, which
is why I wanted to cover it this early. In fact, let’s take a look at a glitch that
is rather easy to pull off that uses it. The “Ride Prince Sidon Anywhere”-glitch. It might be obvious what it does; it allows
you to take Sidon anywhere you want on the map. First, set up moon jump. Then warp to any shrine near the East Reservoir
Lake or place your travel medallion next to the Dagah Keek Shrine and warp to it. Moon jump to Sidon who waits for you and start
the battle with Vah Ruta. All you need to do now is to get off of Sidon
and drown. Remember what I said? If you void out, you will respawn at the last
place you warped to. You have now escaped the bossfight. You should still be able to hear the boss
music though since you’re technically still fighting Vah Ruta. Now, whenever you touch a body of water and
Sidon is too far away, he will simply teleport to you. He will move very slowly towards you, but
only if you are at the correct distance from him. Don’t go too far away, otherwise he might
get stuck in an moving-upwards-animation. You can of course still ride on him, even
on land. Okay, what else can you do with moon jumping? Well, you can warp into pretty much any shrine
and dungeon on the map early if you start another file on master mode using wrong warping. Let’s use this to beat all of the divine
beasts before even obtaining the paraglider! It turns out that this is completely possible,
even though it’s not easy at all. Also, the travel medallion is required here. So, how do we set up such a wrong warp? First, go to the area you want to warp to
on the other save later. Save your game there and set up moon jump
glitch. From the horseback, load the save you just
created. Now warp to your travel medallion. Congratulations! Every time you now load a save you will warp
to this location! Until you disable the moon jump of course. And, as I said, this even persists through
normal and master mode. So, when starting another save, after obtaining
the sheikah slate, getting out of the shrine of resurrection and saving and reloading,
we end up in the dungeon! This is a pretty powerful technique that will
allow us to break the game in a lot of ways. If you want to reproduce this with the divine
beasts, an important thing is to not get the map of the dungeon in normal mode, because
otherwise you wouldn’t be able to warp to the travel medallion. But let’s continue with the dungeons. I started with Vah Medoh. Starting with Vah Naboris would be the smart
choice, because it has the hardest boss and bosses have more health the more of them you
have beaten before. But whatever. Completing the terminals of Vah Medoh wasn’t
really a problem. The real problem was Windblight Ganon. It took me way over 20 attempts to beat him,
since I didn’t really have any good equipment to defeat him. After getting Revali's Gale, we are sent back
to the Rito village where we instantly void out, since we haven’t obtained the paraglider
and thus have not finished the plateau yet. This makes us respawn on the plateau, exactly
where we want to be. One little thing: You need to disable the
moon jump glitch before exiting the dungeons or shrines you wrong warped to, since the
game will otherwise place you at the last safe coordinates, which were around 0 0 0
inside of the dungeon and therefore somewhere under the Hyrule field. This will result in an endless loop of voiding
out until you die. To disable moon jump, simply change to your
normal file and sit on a horse there. Now we can properly exit the dungeon and respawn
on the plateau. Also, using Revali’s Gale without the paraglider
makes Link have a one-time-use-paraglider which cannot be reactivated after putting
it away. As I said, bosses get harder the more other
ones you beat, so I did thunderblight next. To wrong warp into there, I again needed to
get there in normal mode and there are a few other glitches we can make on the way to Vah
Naboris. First of all, the Yiga Clan skip. It requires us to learn how to walk through
solid walls. An ancient technique that the Yiga are willing
to teach us. Or not. Oh well. Whatever I’ll teach it myself. There are a lot of ways to get out of bounds
in BotW. The first one we will take a look at will
be the Skew Clip or Shield Clip. The Skew is a technique that allows for other
more advanced glitches, but again, we will come back on those later. But for now: What is a Skew? If we shield-surf onto a steep slope or anything
at an angle greater than 45° Link will stop surfing. This is how we store a so-called Skew. When we now shield jump and unequip the shield
in the starting animation we will have two frames where Link snaps away from the direction
we got our Skew in. We can use these two frames to clip through
walls. Basically, we need a Skew that is pointing
away from the wall into which we want to clip into. To perform the clip, walk towards the wall,
start shield surfing, as soon as you hit the wall, unequip your shield and continue holding
forward. If everything worked, you should be through. Not all walls are the same though. Walls that are not at an 90° angle or walls
that have multiple layers that are really close to each other won’t really work for
this. In some cases an Extended Shield Clip or ESC
for short might work here, but it’s not guaranteed. What an ESC is you might be wondering? Well, it’s a frame perfect extension of
the normal shield clip and took me around two hours to first pull off. Go to the wall you want to clip through having
the according skew stored. Begin a normal shield clip but begin to frame
buffer right after unequipping the shield by opening and closing the quick selection. Also, hold ZL and forward the entire time. I know, this can start to hurt your fingers. You are looking for the frame after Link snaps
back from his skew, here you want to requip your shield, holding A at the same time. Instantly open the menu again and release
A. Also deselect your shield. If you aren’t through yet, repeat this multiple
times. If you are through, congrats! This can take a lot of attempts. A small tip: If Link starts his ragdolling
animation, you reequipped your shield a frame or two too early. Try doing it a few frames later. But we only need the normal shield clip for
what we want to do: Skipping the Yiga Clan hideout. Simply get a skew in the direction of the
wall, and perform a shield clip. Now you can walk to the final room and open
the door. It’s that easy! Usually we would now give the thunder helmet
to Riju, but to be honest, I really want to keep it to myself! So, next glitches: Eventide and Minigame Storage. This glitch allows us to take any item from
the key items tab of our inventory and basically spend it while keeping it. Again, place down your travel medallion on
these rocks. Now get moon jump and warp to the travel medallion. Since your respawn coordinate is now set to
this point without the possibility of changing it by warping, warp to the Katosa Aug Shrine
in Akkala. Begin the blue flame minigame, which only
unlocks after completing the Akkala Ancient Tech Lab Quest, and drown yourself in the
ocean east of the stable. You will respawn next to eventide island. Moon-Jump towards it and begin the quest. After the minigame timer is over, you will
be called off of the island back to Akkala. Now you have a copy of your key items in your
inventory that you can spend as you want. As soon as you save and reload, you will get
all of your inventory back, including the items you spent. So, we can now give Hetsu's maracas back,
enlarge our inventory, get more hearts or stamina and of course give Riju her thunder
helmet. After saving and reloading we will have all
of the items back in our inventory and we could repeat the process to get a maxed out
inventory and containers. One thing to note is that Hetsu will only
let us enlarge our inventory if we wear a top, which is why we will need to buy one
in Hateno for example every time we do this. We will be using eventide storage and miniage
storage later more. Now we can finally board Vah Naboris and wrong
warp there from our other save. And oh boy. Thunderblight is not joking around. It took way over 30 tries to beat him. I even wrong warped into the maze shrines
to get the barbarian outfit to get that extra 50% of damage. But: It was really satisfying when I finally
managed to land that final hit. Okay, two beasts freed, two to go. Vah Rudania is a whole other story: We can’t
possibly get a fireproof elixir or fitting armor on the plateau, so if we wrong warp
there, we will simply burn slowly. Luckily there are glitches that help with
that as well: Apparatus Storage comes in useful here. Apparatus storage is a glitch that has a lot
of applications as well, one of them being Climate Immunity. You will need the camera rune for this. Go to any shrine with an apparatus. Save outside of the shrine. Go inside and wait for an autosave. Head to the apparatus, hold down R to throw
your weapon and press L and the left stick to activate the camera rune and sneak at the
same time. Now you should be able to move while having
the camera rune active. Press A to activate the apparatus and delete
the image. Pause immediately and load the save from inside
of the shrine. Repeat the process one more time but load
the save from outside of the shrine this time. Now you are immune to any climate, including
the heat from the volcano. Also, your paraglider won’t work any more,
but that’s only a small side effect. The glitch can also be used to skip the sheikah
slate without wrong warping, by voiding out before reloading the save and then switching
to the other save file, but that’s not that important right now. You can also do another glitch called Puppet
Link, where Link is just ragdolling at the bottom of a shrine. Just take enough damage to die at the same
time as you fall into the void and quickly eat stuff that heals at least one and a quarter
of a heart. Very useful, I know. Whatever. The most important thing is that we can now
walk around without burning on death mountain. If we beat fireblight ganon, which was surprisingly
easy, we will also get a messed up cutscene. Since we never started the quest the volcano
is still in the erupting state, but that’s only a visual glitch. Okey dokey only one blight left and it turns
out that having urbosa's fury makes things a lot easier. Oh yeah, but before we fight waterblight ganon,
remember that we always respawn at 0 0 0? Inside of Ruta, that is out of bounds, so
we can visit our titan from below. Great! We now have all titans and all of their abilities
before even having the paraglider. Since I also want to have the master cycle
zero without having the paraglider we need to get back into the shrine of resurrection. Remember how we previously skipped opening
the door so that it is always daytime? Well… This now creates a few problems. We can’t get in there any more. But hey, that’s a great occasion to make
use of another glitch: Horse Wrong Warping. Basically, we make the game think that we
want to warp somewhere else resulting in not loading the ground underneath us so that we
can fall through it. Simply position your horse wherever you want. In my case that would be right above the shrine
of resurrection. Save and perform apparatus storage. This time we don’t want to perform the storage
twice though, simply pause after deleting the picture and hold an item. Unpause and pause in quick succession and
watch a memory. If the memory doesn’t show up, you’ve
done everything right. Now you can control the apparatus and walk
freely at the same time. Jump off the platform and load the save with
you on the horseback. You will void out and placed at the center
of the map. Now warp to any shrine that is far away from
your horse. The game will try to place you there but you
will snap back to your horse. Since the area isn’t loaded, you fall right
through the ground and are free to walk around. It might not always work as you can see here,
simply retry in that case. Okay, but we still want to get into that shrine
of resurrection. We are one step closer, but now we need to
find a way to get in there. Since we never left, the lighting is still
the same as from the beginning. By going on top, we can kind of clip in between
the door, but that doesn’t really help. Oh yes, playing the opening cutscene won’t
open the doors either. But with a well-timed shield jump, I was able
to get into there. At this point I was trying to get in there
for around two hours, you can imagine that I was pretty happy it worked. Now we can finally get the DLC quest. I placed the medallion to make sure I can
come back whenever I want. Remember minigame storage? I tried to escape the plateau with the one
hit obliterator so that I can keep it forever. Sadly, the monk simply takes the obliterator
away, even though we were so far away from the plateau. So, we need another idea. Inside of the korok forest, there is a minigame
that equips us with a sword, a shield and a bow. As soon as we unequip any of those, we fail
the minigame. To escape this minigame, simply climb up the
tree branch and void out at the same time as you leave the minigame area. When asked if you want to continue, say yes. You will be placed right outside of the main
area of the forest. Now we are in the passive state of the minigame,
where we could theoretically unequip the sword and nothing would happen. To get into the active state again, go to
around this branch here, so that you can see the Korok over there. Great! Another type of minigame storage. Now comes the tedious part: Walking all the
way back to the plateau. Or riding, in my case. And whatever I did there, it made my zora
armor look a lot more fancy. I’ve never seen anybody performing this
glitch, so maybe I discovered a new one? (Glitched armor)
Picking up the obliterator brings us back to the korok forest, since we unequipped the
sword. This time though, the Korok made it so that
we hold no weapon at all, so the monk can’t take our obliterator away, even though the
animation is there. I know, I somehow didn’t record any footage
for this, so you have to believe me. Great! We now have the obliterator and the monk won’t
be taking it away any more. But do you know what is better than having
one? Having three of course! You might wonder how I did this. Well, duplicating another one and picking
it up a third time. This means that I can now keep two obliterators
at all times. Sadly, they will only deal 1 damage per hit. But hey, at least they have infinite durability! Also, the only way to unequip them is to place
them in your house. I think now is a good time to open up the
gates of the shrine of resurrection. The game doesn’t really expect us having
any weapons, so this is the cutscene we get. Okay. The next part of the champions ballad requires
us to complete a total of 12 shrines to obtain special orbs. These orbs get placed in the Key Items tab
of our inventory. Do you know what this means? We can keep them using Eventide island! The only problem is that we get our normal
inventory back after fighting each blight again, meaning that we need to perform this
glitch four times in total. Also, we can use this to get a few additional
hearts and containers while we are on it. By the way, while fighting thunderblight,
this happened… Yeah that’s a bit weird. And voila, we have the upgraded versions of
the champions abilities while still having the orbs. Now we only need our master sword back. But we don’t have 13 hearts yet! The next glitch is called the Master Sword
Early glitch which lets us pick up the master sword with less than 13 hearts. It also works thanks to apparatus storage. First, get your horse and save around here
while sitting on it. Then warp to an apparatus shrine or as in
my case load a save inside of one. Perform apparatus storage just like before
and drop down. Now load the save with your horse. Warp somewhere that’s far away. The game gets confused again and places Link
in the Korok Forest. Now run quickly and pick up the master sword
without triggering any cutscene. Make sure you have enough space in your inventory
before you do this, otherwise you won’t be able to pick it up. Of course, this way you won’t get the free
extra item slot. To get it, simply trigger the pulling animation
while having 13 or more hearts and the cutscene should play as usual, only with Link holding
no sword. Now we finally have access to the final trial. Wrong warping there should be no problem by
now, since we have done that often enough. Again: Be careful not to pick up the map in
normal mode since this would prevent us from wrong warping there in the future. Ever wondered what a ball spawning pipe looks
like? Also, the elevator starts from the bottom
and slowly moves back up. Luckily parts of the wall have no collision
so we can simply escape the dungeon and admire its beauty. Let’s complete the dungeon in normal mode
first. Since we can’t pick up the map, it is impossible
to complete the dungeon in the intended way. I tried getting into the monks room but he
would only let the bananas in, not me. At least we can have a pretty nice view of
the dungeon. Oh yes, you can also let yourself fall for
a few hours and you will end up with a pretty glitchy looking Link but I didn’t have the
patience to do that. Okay, back to beating the trial. We need the Final Trial Skip: There are two
possible ways of skipping the final trial. The first one simply requires moon jumping
out of the trial and finding the Monk Maz Kiosha arena that is stored out of bounds. The arena and the dungeon are on the same
map by the way. You will have to jump pretty high - so high
in fact that you reach the ceiling to not hit the death barrier that surrounds the dungeon. Then moon jump southwards until the lighting
changes to the overworld lighting and you get your champion's abilities back. Then drop down again until you are at the
height of the dungeon. Continue southwards until the arena appears. Here you will need to jump really high again
to overcome the death barrier. Then simply drop down. I tried it a few times this way but it never
really worked for me since I always accidentally hit the death barrier. This is why I switched to method 2: Wrong
warping there. Place your travel medallion around here on
the overworld, set up moon jump and warp to it. Now go to the final trial and jump into the
lava. Since the coordinates from the overworld are
translated to the dungeon coordinates, you are placed exactly there - which happens to
be the arena. Now we can fight our favourite monk with our
favourite music! Until we beat him of course. In this case we get the master cycle zero,
just as expected. Now let’s beat the monk on master mode! For this, I mostly completed the dungeon in
the intended way. When we begin the bossfight but void out,
since we still have moon jump active, we get teleported back to the final trial. Sadly, restarting the battle doesn’t mean
that we spawn another monk. Also, it turns out that this fight can be
pretty difficult. We don’t have access to the paraglider and
we can’t drop a banana or use the camera rune to identify the real monk. After around twenty attempts I finally beat
him and was granted to master cycle zero and the picture of the champions before even leaving
the plateau. This means the old man and Kashiwa are both
there! Using the wrong warp glitch we can also complete all
of the DLC shrines on master mode from the plateau. So I did exactly that. It took a while to set up all of the individual
wrong warps, but hey, now we’ve got all of the orbs there as well. Completing the four DLC shrines on the plateau
triggers the cutscene as usual, but without the one-hit-obliterator in Link’s hands. Also, the quest markers don’t appear on
the map. The one-hit-obliterator fimply floats inside
of the shrine of resurrection with the missing pedestal. Kass appears on the mountain after completing
the shrine that is located there but sadly we can’t talk to him. 30 Now that was a lot of wrong warping to
do stuff out of order. It requires me to perform the moon jump glitch
at least forty times. By the way, if you don’t finish talking
to the man, the camera continues to zoom out, which makes it so that we can get a really
great view of Hyrule from far away! Here are a few of the highlights. The glitches I have shown you so far were
all mostly in some way connected to reach other, bigger goals. The rest of the glitches mostly stand on their
own, which doesn’t make them less cool. The Hinox Curse. Using a metal box from, for example, an amiibo
we can pick up stalnox and bring them anywhere we want. If we get them to stand under a waterfall
to make them nice and clean, we can even get them to turn invisible! One tip for this, try placing them under the
waterfall first and then pushing them even deeper at their eye-level. If you did it, this is where the real craziness
begins. The physic engine will completely shatter. The first thing you will notice is that Link
begins spinning around, enemies and other objects like shrines and other stuff will
start flying or rotate around. The camera can also randomly zoom out. Shooting the stalnox will make it visible
for a split second, allowing you to move around normally for a short amount of time. Riding your horse can also be a rather special
experience. Here are a few impressions. Sadly, if you go too far away the glitch will
stop. Did you ever run out of arrows? Well, if you have a multishot bow, this can’t
happen to you any more! Simply shoot at a cooking pot and all of the
arrows you just shot will be pick-uppable, not only one. This allows you to duplicate arrows as much
as you want. 34 Horses are pretty broken in this game in
general. We used them to wrong warp earlier already,
but we can do so much more with them. Momentum Transfer or Vertical Horse Slide
allows you to store motion until you dismount the horse you are riding on. Simply save the game while riding on a horse
and warp to the Wasteland Tower. It doesn’t have to be this tower, but there
are metal boxes we can use right below it, so it’s a convenient spot. Drop down to the boxes and stasis one of them. Hit it until it is fully charged, then hit
it upwards with an arrow. Stand on it and wait until the stasis timer
runs out. Immediately pause and load the save on your
horse. If you now dismount, you will get all of the
upwards momentum from before sending you flying in the air. Sadly, this does only seem to work with upwards
momentum. You can also unlock skins for your horse! Place your horse around here, next to the
stable, then warp to the Woodland Tower. From there, glide back down to the horse and
shoot it with an ice arrow at the same time as you drown. Now glide down again to find your horse with
the brand new ice skin! This will make it immune to ice damage. The same works for fire, but the timing is
way more tight and I didn’t get it to work. Horse Clipping. You can not only clip through the ground using
your horse, also through walls. Position your horse so that it faces away
from the wall you want to clip though and press X to jump off. While in the air, save and reload. You should now be inside the wall. Yes, it's that easy. If you watched the BotW boundary break episode,
you might remember the flower that has been placed inside of the deku tree's mouth. We now have the possibility to see it in game! Horse sliding is a rather weird glitch that
lets you slide off your horse in a certain direction after dismounting. Bring your horse to a slope and place it in
a 90° angle to it. Place yourself at the back of the horse around
here. Hold down X and D-Pad up at the same time,
then release X and hold ZL and A. Now let go off the D-Pad. Now you can start riding in any direction
you want. If you dismount the sliding will begin in
the opposite direction your horse was facing when setting this up. The further you ride away, the further you
slide. You can even take this into shrines by loading
a save you created inside one, which is especially useful for shrine speedrunning. Ever felt like your horse doesn’t have enough
stamina? Then the Horse Stamina Refresh is the right
glitch for you. Use up all of your horse's stamina except
for one. Hold ZL and ZR. Then tap X and instantly afterwards A. If
you had the correct timing, you unmounted and remounted your horse and thus refilled
your stamina bar. It seems as if it was still empty but this
is only visual. It works best on flat terrain. The horse factory or infinite horses glitch
is rather useless. It allows you to summon as many horses as
you want. First collect a few torches. This is the easiest in the Thyphlo Ruins. Simply use your sensor+ for this. Then head to this spot in the Hebra region. Set up four campfires so that you can fly
using the paraglider. When you reach the max height with the paraglider,
the bokoblins on horses should despawn. Go down to them and place the torches at the
spots they spawn. This can be a lot of trial and error. When you did everything right, the horses
should begin to burn as soon as they spawn making the bokoblins fall off. Now seperated, the horses won’t despawn
any more and you can continue creating more and more horses by flying up and down the
updraft. When you go down to visit all of your new
friends, it might get a bit laggy, depending on how many you spawned. In my case it was already enough to unload
the torches. If you make more than 300 horses the game
will simply crash. I’m also not sure if that blood moon was
a panic blood moon or a normal one… Oh yeah one small bonus glitch that might
help on that one if you don’t have Majora's Mask: If you have your camera pointing downwards,
bokoblins on horses will always miss when they shoot arrows at you. 40 There are two more things we can do while
the moon jump glitch is active though: One of them is pretty useless: while the glitch
is active, we can simply walk into mud and not drown. The other one is more useful, we can use metal
chests to fly with them. By positioning yourself around here, the game
does not realise you are standing on the chest and you can simply pick it up to levitate
yourself around. Make sure to face in the direction you want
to go, since it can be hard to turn around midair without you falling down. Speaking of flying with magnesis, the first
time gravity was escaped in the game was using two minecarts from death mountain. By stacking them in this way, so that the
lower one tilts at an angle of around 45°, you can stand on the upper one and use magnesis
on the lower one. This way you can fly! To ensure a safe flight, make sure you stand
at the front and always balance the flying machine with Link’s weight. You can kind of steer the machine, but be
careful not to make any abrupt movements or your machine will fall down. There’s another way we can get out of bounds. I told you there were a lot of ways to archive
this before. This time we use the stasis module, which
is why it is called stasis clipping. Simply take a metal box, push it close to
a wall and use stasis on it. Fully charge the stasis against the wall and
quickly run between the box and the wall. Pushing against the box increases the chance
of success, so try doing that. If everything worked, you should now have
been sent through the wall. Okay. There is one more concept that is crucial
to many other glitches that will follow. Most of them have to do with insanely fast
movement or movement in general. This concept is bullet time. While Link performs certain actions, time
around him slows down and we get this slo-mo effect. Bullet time can be triggered by pulling out
your bow in midair or perfectly dodging an attack. The second one is basically useless since
we can’t do anything other than attack the one enemy we dodged. During bullet time, the time passes around
19 times slower than usual. This makes it so that certain interactions
between objects get miscalculated since the duration of contact gets 19 times longer than
usual. The first glitch using this is the Bullet
Time Launch. I picked this one as the first one since it
makes it pretty obvious what happens during these bullet time glitches and it’s relatively
easy to perform. Simply place a cryonis block under any object
and trigger bullet time by tapping, but not holding ZR to pull out your bow. If timed correctly, the object should be sent
flying. As I already explained, this is because the
launching action takes 19 times longer and the speed the object gains gets larger and
larger. This can be pretty fun depending on what you
launch. Bullet Time Bounce was the first big glitch
that allowed speedrunners to skip the entire ride to Hyrule castle and many other distances
all over the plateau. There are consistent setups but it’s already
fun to simply mess around with this glitch. To perform it, shield surf, trigger bullet
time by tapping ZR, again, not holding ZR and by landing on an enemy. Whether it works or not depends on the enemy
you jump on. The only enemy that requires no preparation
is the red bokoblin. For the other bokoblins, you will need to
shoot them with an ice attack first so that they are in the frozen state. Other enemies like lizalfos or moblins also
work, but I’ve never managed to pull it off with one of these. As I said, insanely useful in speedrunning. Another technique that uses this are the Windbombs
or Bomb impact launches. Basically, you use one bomb to shoot another
bomb into Link during bullet time which sends him flying. There are multiple ways you can perform this. The three easiest are the double backflip
method, the fronthop method and the mid-air method. The most consistent one is the double backflip
one. To perform it, stand on an object that is
around half Link’s height. Hold your shield and perform two backflips. Place your square bomb and while holding your
shield, go back to the object you stood on. Now backflip. As soon as Link is upright again, tap or hold
ZR to trigger bullet time. Wait for your stamina bar to deplete by one
third of a wheel and place the round bomb. Instantly detonate the square bomb afterwards. The next one is the fronthop method. This one only works in the cardinal and intercardinal
directions, so make sure you face in one of those. You really want to avoid slight off-angles. Stand at a spot where you can fronthop off
from. Then fronthop, place the round bomb by pressing
L and trigger bullet time by tapping ZR at the same time. This part can be a bit tricky but you’ll
eventually get a feeling for the correct timing. Now wait until Link’s legs don’t move
anymore and place the square bomb. Detonate the other bomb instantly afterwards. The midairs are fantastic if you have a lot
of stamina, since you can use them to extend your other windbombs. Jump off somewhere and trigger the paraglider,
gliding forwards. Tap L to place your round bomb and ZR to trigger
bullet time. Select the square bombs and place one a bit
later. Switch back to the round ones and wait for
the moment the bombs and Link align. Then detonate the round bomb. As I said, these are only the consistent setups. People who have put even more time into this
came up with setups that are really difficult to pull off, but for regular gameplay, windbombs
are a fantastic method to quickly get anywhere you want, especially on your second or third
playthrough. The next bullet time related method I want
to show is the Stasis Launch. It is a fairly new one, so there aren’t
that many setups or tutorials around it online. It took me around one and a half hours to
pull it off once, so yes, it’s pretty precise. First, you need to master the shield jump. Start shield surfing while standing and press
x to jump again the moment you touch the ground. This makes Link jump with the shield again. Now find a box to stasis. Place it in the direction you want to fly
off into. Hit it until it is fully charged, then align
Link by pushing against the other side. Wait for the fourth or fifth blink of the
third stage of the stasis timer. Now jump and perform the shield jump. If everything went right, Link should be jumping
at the exact moment the stasis runs out and Link should be flying off into the distance. In speedruns, one of them is currently used
to replace a BTB on the plateau. Okay, one last bullet time related technique. This one is useful for combat, it is the Thunderclap
Rush. It allows us to instantly rush towards an
enemy as if we would have perfectly dodge an attack, with the difference that no attack
is required and that it works from any distance. Performing one is easier as it seems. Simply let an enemy hit you or your shield,
perfect parrying the attack won’t work. Then go to a spot where you can get into bullet
time. Target anything you want with ZL and jump
off. Tap ZR and Y at the same time to enter bullet
time and pull out your sword. Now you should rush towards the enemy that
you blocked the attack from. This even works on NPCs! To conclude this part, you could say that
bullet time is pretty glitchy indeed. Whatever. If all of these launches were a bit too difficult
to pull off, here’s an easy one. Find any wooden box and place a square bomb
on the opposite side of where you want to be launched into. Now stand on the box. Draw an imaginary line from the bomb through
the center of the box. Position yourself on the and of this line,
meaning the exact opposite side than the bomb. Now simply detonate the bomb. I only failed this one once, it’s really
that simple. Oh yeah, it’s called Wooden Box by the way. I know, that’s a really creative name. Remember eventide storage? We were able to get the maximum amount of
hearts, but it required us to buy a shirt every time and the setup was tedious. So, how about another method to get unlimited
containers? Container Duplication is pretty good if you
already have a lot of containers, since it allows you to double the amount every time
you perform it. It uses apparatus storage and the Horned Statue. It is pretty convenient that both of them
are located in Hateno. First, go into the shrine and create a save. Now leave it and give as many containers to
the statue as you want. Make sure to wait until the game creates an
auto save. Now load the shrine save and perform apparatus
storage. Now reload the auto-save where you sold all
of your hearts. This makes it so that you keep the hearts
you currently have but the amount inside of the statue remains the same as from before. Congratulations! You have doubled the amount. Now you can create a new safe inside of the
shrine and sell all of your containers again and repeat until you have stored enough containers
for maximum hearts and stamina. If it somehow doesn't work the second time
you try it you can try to save, exit to the title screen and reload your save. It usually works for me that way. Now you can have both stamina and Hearts maxed
out at the same time! If you don’t want to complete that many
shrines on your fourth playthrough, this can be a great glitch to make your life a lot
easier. But not only can we duplicate containers,
but we can also get infinite korok seeds! It basically relies on getting a korok without
activating it. The easiest is the one on top of the Akkala
Ancient Tech Lab. Make sure to save before doing this, since
if you have already collected it it won’t work. Stand behind the chair and hold ZL to not
change your facing direction. Back up and press A a few frames later. If you now see the mountain that is further
away, you know it has worked. The korok did not appear and you can repeat. I would recommend saving after every one or
two successful attempts, since you don’t want to lose too much progress if you fail. If you are lucky, the game even autosaves
after every attempt. If you already collected this korok, don’t
worry, there are others that this work with. Basically, any korok that is on a tree can
be activated this way. Jump up to it using moon jump and drop down. Again, activate it in the last possible moment. The timing here is way tighter so make sure
you really don’t grab the first one. 52 The next glitch has a couple of different
methods how to perform it, but I’ll only cover the most recent one which happens to
be the easiest one. It’s called Inventory overloading and allows
for some really cool applications. You’ll need a minimum of five multishot
bows that you can farm at the Yiga clan hideout or from Lynels. You’ll also need one electric arrow that
you can buy in Lurelin Village for example. To activate Inventory overloading, take out
your first multi shot bow with the electric arrow and aim. Then drop the bow from your inventory and
equipp the next one. Continue until Link begins to disappear. In this state, the game won’t register when
you change the selected weapon, shield or bow. Also, I don’t recommend dropping your equipment
in this state, since it sometimes simply disappears. We can use this state for the next glitches: Weapon Duplication. As the name suggests, we can duplicate our
equipment with it. This works differently for swords, shields
and bows. The easiest ones are the swords. Equip the weapon you want to duplicate and
perform inventory overloading. Now select any other weapon. Link should not have changed what he actually
holds in his hands. Throw the weapon with R. You just threw away
a copy of the sword, so after picking it back up, you’ll have two of them. For shields and bows, you’ll need Link’s
house since we need to hang them to the wall. Again, equipp the shield and perform inventory
overloading. Select another one and hang the one you are
still holding to the wall. And again, you now duplicated it. Bows are the most difficult and you’ll need
an elemental rod for this. Since we most likely don’t want to duplicate
our multishot bow, we somehow need to be able to switch to another bow. But during inventory overloading, we can’t
do that. The great thing is, elemental rods have the
exact same effect as the multishot bows with electric arrows. Meaning, if we drop four to five bows, then
equip the bow we want to duplicate and after that the elemental rod, we have overloaded
the inventory without the bow. Now switch to another bow and hang the one
you are still holding to the wall. This is how you can duplicate your equipment. That way you can also drop the master sword. Equip the master sword, overload your menu,
select another weapon and drop it. A text reading “The master sword has returned
to the forest” appears and the master sword flies up into the sky which is basically a
failsafe if the player actually found a way to drop the master sword. It’s a pretty cool effect even though you
are never supposed to see it. 55 Okay, time for the next application: Durability
Transfer. Select the equipment you want to transfer
the durability from first and perform an inventory overload. Then switch to the equipment you want the
durability to go to. Now damage the equipment. By doing this, you set the durability of the
selected weapon to the durability of the other one minus one, since you damaged it once. This works with all types of equipment. Also, be careful in which order you select
it, since it works the other way around as well. You’re probably wondering what equipment
to use for this. For shields, this is easy: The Hylian shield
with durability up has the most durability of all. It still has the highest base durability,
so even without it is the shield of your choice. For the bows and swords, it depends if you
have amiibos or not. Without amiibos, the Spring-Loaded Hammer
and the Ancient Bow are the best. With amiibos it’s the Biggoron's Sword and
the twilight bow but only if you have the durability up modifier on both of them. And as if we didn’t already have enough
free weapons that way, here’s another glitch we can use to get unlimited weapons. When you drop an big elemental weapon during
the swing animation, then it will keep its elemental properties. This means we can ignite stuff with a fire
weapon and shock enemies with an electrical weapon. To do this with an electrical weapon however,
we need to add another metal object that then shocks the enemies. This is called a shock trap. So, how do we use it to duplicate weapons? When electrified, an enemy drops its equipment. If you now put a shock trap right where the
enemy spawns, you can repeatedly rest at a campfire and make the enemy drop the equipment
again and again. This is why you should choose an enemy with
good equipment for the best results. Make sure not to wait for too long before
resting again, since you don’t want your enemy to die. Oh yeah, the equipment is an exact copy each
time, so make sure to save and reload until the enemy has the attribute modifiers that
you want before setting this up. Let’s talk about another technique that
can be useful in battle but also in shrines. It’s called the Skew Bounce. Remember what a skew was? It allowed you to store the direction Link
was facing in when being forced to end a shield surf. If we shield surf off a slope and trigger
bullet time by tapping ZR, important, only tapping not holding ZR, and rotate Link around
by 180°, we begin to ragdoll as soon as we hit the slope. If you would have kept holding ZR, Link would
have started to ragdoll, but there would be a high chance that the skew would not be stored
correctly. What can we do with this type of skew? If you shield jump and unequip your shield
in midair, you will be launched into the air! This can be great for combat, since it allows
you to get bullet time anywhere you want. Usually, you can’t climb walls in shrines,
which makes this glitch even more useful there. If you don’t unequip your shield, something
like this can happen. Sadly, this is one time use so you’ll have
to recharge it after every Skew Bounce. I know, you were probably wondering where
the remaining speedrun glitches are: Whistle Sprinting is the first one. It’s really easy to perform and allows you
to move at almost max speed the entire time. Simply hold down on your D-Pad and constantly
tap and release B. But as I said, this is not the max speed, so switch between whistle
sprinting and normal sprinting for the best results. The other one is the fall damage cancel. It allows you to drop from any height without
taking damage. Before or during the fall, hold R to prepare
to throw your weapon. Right before you land, release R to throw
your weapon but cancel the throw by instantly unequipping the weapon. This should make it so that you don’t take
any fall damage. This works from any height, but since you
get the paraglider directly after the plateau, this is usually only really useful in speedruns. 60 There is another speedrun glitch that is
used if you want to complete Vah Rudania without the flamebreaker armor or medicine. It is called Burn Timer Reset. If you burn, simply hold Y to swing your two-handed
weapon. You will stop to burn and if you timed it
correctly you will lose zero to half a heart. Now you can simply repeat this until you are
at goron city. The next few glitches will be pretty useless
but fun nonetheless. Here’s a little oversight from the developers:
If you wait right at the spot where you get teleported when warping to Vah Ruta for around
58 seconds, you will see the following: Did you see it? It’s the one hit obliterator! The one we already have two times in our inventory! Turns out, it spawns around 30000 meters above
you and then falls until it clips through the ground. You can even pick it up if you time it correctly,
but it will tell you that you have already completed the trial. I didn’t try it out before I completed it,
but probably the same would happen. And while we're already talking about useless
stuff, you can hold your bomb while sneaking. Sneak and press forward and X to quickly move
forwards and press L to pull out your bomb at the same time. Now Link should be in this weird state, where
you can’t throw or put away your bomb. You can still press Y to pull your sword. This makes the bomb drop. Or you can simply stand up again. If you parry an attack with daruk's protection,
this usually uses up one charge. But if you tap ZL at the exact moment you
are being attacked, it won’t use it up! This is called Daruk’s Perfect Parry. It’s pretty useless, since it does the exact
same as perfectly blocking but the timing is way more precise. What? You want more uselessness? Well, here you go: The glitch Ragdolling Bokoblin
locks a bokoblin in his, well you probably already guessed it, ragdolling animation. Find a Moblin and a bokoblin that are close
together. Make the moblin lose his weapon so that he
will eventually pick up the bokoblin and throw it towards you. Shoot the bokoblin with an ice arrow while
he ragdolls. After he breaks free, he won’t be able to
stand up any more and you can do whatever you want with him. Still remember apparatus storage? We made it so that we were able to move around
while having the camera rune active. This is called Camera Glitch. Again, hold R and press L and the left joystick
at the same time. You’ll be able to sneak around. But we can take it one step further: Simply
stop sneaking and now we can walk around! Infinite poses! Just don’t attack, since this stops the
camera rune. You can also spin your bow around you by spinning
a two handed weapon around you and then tapping B and ZR at the same time. The bow will act just as the weapon you just
held, even keeping the elemental effects. Sadly, this also uses up the sword’s durability. Okay, the next one is not completely useless. If you stasis a guardian stalker that is still
inactive and wait for the stasis to end, it will simply clip through the ground. Especially useful if you don’t want to deal
with the guardians around hyrule castle town. And while talking about guardians, you can
also turn them pacific by using urbosa's fury and immediately afterwards using stasis+ on
them. They won’t be able to move or attack you
in this state, which is pretty cool. 69 The Hylia Bridge has a crack in the wall
that removes the shader from Link and objects in general which makes everything look a lot
different. This one has actually only been discovered
a couple of days ago, if you throw lizards or frogs into lava, they will sometimes float
away instead of falling. I think this is because the game makes them
try to walk away but there is no interaction programmed for lava, so they simply continue
their motion from the throw. Let’s return to the useful stuff. If you’ve got the DLC, you’ve surely played
the trial of the sword and you surely know that it is actually pretty difficult. That’s why people have discovered the trial
of the sword skip! You know these rooms you get teleported in
between? It turns out that they are all located in
the same map. I’m sure that by now you’ve learned that
walls are merely a suggestion where we shouldn’t go. First, get yourself a north facing skew. Then grab the shield before the bokoblins
can pick it up and perform a shield clip on the northern wall. Now you’re free to explore the endless grasslands
of the trial of the sword! A few of the attractions are: The different
room types! The Valley! The break rooms! There’s even an endless ocean and glitchy
walls that we can kind of clip through. And who could forget the final room where
you get the master sword? Sadly, if we get too close, we simply void
out. But we are not only here for our amusement,
we want to complete the trials after all. So, for the beginners trial, walk along this
path until you reach the second room in the row that is surrounded by water. Use the land there to clip back in. This room happens to be the final room of
the first trial, so we can simply defeat the hinox using the metal box that is hidden in
the water. After that we get the master sword as if we
would have completed the trial normally. Now do the same for the other two trials,
although it might be a bit more tricky to get a shield in those rooms. You will need to take this path for the middle
trial and this one for the final one. Ever thought that that old ganon is a way
too tough enemy? Well, you can defeat him and basically any
other boss that has a cutscene in only one hit. Oh yeah, nevermind that my save doesn’t
have a ground and that the seal has already been broken. I’ve escaped the final battle with miniage
storage and this happened. Back to the actual glitch. Simply shoot a bomb arrow right before entering
the cutscene trigger and wait. Make sure not to skip the cutscene and not
to shoot the arrow too early or too late. What happens here is that the boss constantly
gets hit by the not detonating invisible arrow and therefore constantly gets damage. If ganon kind of wiggles around then you know
it worked. This is also where it gets really really loud. I’ve lowered the volume so that you don’t
have to endure this. Since he gets stuck up there, we can’t see
him until the cutscene teleports him down. Phase two begins instantly and also ends right
after it begins. Well, that was easy. It theoretically works on all of the other
bosses as well but you can’t really shoot a bomb arrow up to the while interacting with
the terminal. This glitch can work the other way around
as well, Link can also get damaged during cutscenes and instantly die afterwards, such
as by a burning sword that is currently equipped or on his back. Another glitch that you can do around hyrule
castle is the infinite guardian parts glitch. It allows you to get as many ancient parts
as you want. For this, you will need a broken guardian
that is not stuck inside of the ground. There are four of them, but this one is the
easiest to perform the glitch with. It is important to know that the map is split
up into tiles. As soon as we bring the guardian at least
two of these tiles away from its spawn location, it begins to spit out unlimited parts, since
the variable that stores if it might have already dropped them is not accessible anymore
since it is too far away and has been unloaded. You can lift the guardian with a cryonis pillar
to see what the loot is going to be. If you don’t like what you would get you
can always reload the last save. Keep in mind that you can only check what
it will drop once, since the guardians will only drop their loot once that way. So the next times you perform this glitch
it will be a surprise what you get. If you like what you get, begin pushing him
southwards using a metal box or a heavy weapon such as the big boomerang until you reach
the stable. Around there it should start emitting a stream
of parts that despawn almost instantly since the game tries to free up memory. Stand right where they drop and continuously
press A to collect them. Do not open your inventory or the map during
this or your game will crash after a few seconds. If you want to pause the glitch to check out
how many parts you have, rotate the guardian upright and the lag should stop. Now you can open the menu. Alternatively you can also walk away really
far. You can now use them to buy your ancient equipment
or sell them for rupees. Also, make sure to quickly stop the glitch
when a blood moon appears or the game will crash as well. But this is not the fastest method to get
rupees. We’ll end the video with the fastest way
to get rich: Infinite ores. It also has to do with inventory overloading. Go to the Riverside Stable and before starting
the glitch complete the NPCs quest by showing her a Royal Guard's sword or any other Royal
Guard's equipment. Now drop all of your Royal Guard equipment
except for one. Now equip any other equipment of the type
you kept the Royal Guard part from. Overload your inventory and select the Royal
Guard’s equipment you kept. Now you can talk to the NPC over and over
again and she will give you infinite ores without removing your royal guard’s equipment. Well, and that’s it. Those were almost all of the glitches there
are in Breath of the Wild. Now you should know how to bend reality according
to your imagination and reach whatever goal you want. What a journey, thanks for sticking to the
end with me. I’ve had a lot of fun creating this video
and I hope you had just as much fun watching it. It was definitely the video I’ve put the
most effort into so far. If you’ve got any more questions about what
you’ve just seen, you can either ask me in the comments or the people from the tutorials
that I’ve linked in the description. Speaking of, I would like to thank the BotW
glitch hunting community so much for finding all of these ways to break the game. You should definitely check out their stuff. So, that’s it! Thanks for watching again and see you next
time!
Great video, though there’s a few minor details I noticed you misspoke on.
1: Moon jump doesn’t make the game think Link is always on the ground, it just doesn’t let the game realize when Link is on the ground and when he’s in the air. This means that if Link is in his grounded state, going in the air won’t switch him to his airborne state, and if he’s airborne, touching the ground won’t put him in in the grounded state. Since Link starts from the grounded state, and most of the actions which would make him airborne don’t, many people have the misconception that Link is actually stuck in the grounded state.
From the grounded state, you can become airborne by using Revali’s Gale, or with a backflip jump-attack. Note that from the airborne state you can take out your paraglider as much as you want, as long as Link is not actually on the ground, because to paraglide, the game not only checks that Link is airborne, but that he is also a certain distance above the ground (this applies to entering bullet time as well). From the airborne state, you can return to the grounded state by ending a ragdoll on the ground, or ending climbing by reaching a flat surface.
There’s also a semi-grounded state that you can get by performing a fall damage cancel from the airborne state while on the ground, teleporting, or by taking fall damage (only possible from the airborne state). In this state, Link will slide along the ground with whatever momentum he had in the airborne state. You can change the direction Link is sliding in by walking in the direction you want to slide while holding ZL. From the semi-grounded state, you can switch to either fully grounded or fully airborne, by walking (without ZL) and jumping respectively. Final thing about moon jump, there is a way to regain the ability to regenerate stamina after swimming, by grabbing onto or climbing a ladder. However I’ve never seen or heard anyone say this before, so it’s probably not commonly known.
2: For inventory overload, you don’t need to aim the bow, just holding it is enough.
Also, the minimum number of multishot bows to get inventory overload is actually 2. If Link stands with his back against a wall, you can pick up the bows as you drop them, and use them to further unload the inventory. Though you need to be quick, the inventory will quickly go back to normal if you are out of it for too long. I don’t think you can duplicate/durability transfer a single shot bow though. It seems possible in theory, but at least I haven’t been able to do it.
3: Bow spins don’t use the bow as a weapon. Link is still hitting things with the 2-handed weapon, he’s just holding the bow while doing so. In a bow spin, the weapon is still active in it’s swinging/damaging state, it’s just doing so while not in Link’s hands.
Thank you!
Here's a few more. I haven't watched the full video yet but I don't see them in the description. You forgot korok pond apparatus storage, throw sprinting, daruk's enforced flurry rush, daruk's perfect launch, rune cancelling, instant ESC, vertical ESC, wetness storage, fire storage, bomb skew bounce (not sure if this is the official name) and lynel guiding. Possibly some other ones as well
- apparatus storage can be activated without a camera by shield surfing or jumping into a korok pond. frame perfect pausing is needed. check out early master sword speedruns for examples
- an alternative to whistle sprinting is throw sprinting since it causes less noise. used in most long speedruns
- daruk's protection can be used to activate a flurry rush but it does not store a target lock. discorvered by RinHara5aki
- daruk's protection can be used to perform a vertical laucnh when going up a slope, also RinHara5aki
- using magnesis and cancelling with holding an item drops it diretly beneath you
- there's two different types of ESC that can do some crazy stuff. satougashi020 and komali speedruns utilize them
- apparatus storage and standing in lava or freezing water will store those conditions and allow you to instantly set anything you touch ablaze... or make it permanently wet. bomb arrow shenanigans will cause vertical height gain
- bomb skew bounce is when you place two bombs on the ground and do a shield surf in between them under the effects of bullet time. You'll get launched. check out NMG speedruns for more info
- you can manipulate a lynel into never attacking you the same way with bokoblins on horses. You can also lure a lynel out of its loading zone with bombs, mounting, and stuns
that's all the ones I can think of off the top of my head
