yo what it could be opening with a super easy boy and oh what up is DJ e FN is drink chance [ __ ] happy I'll make soda [Applause] and right now when we started this podcast we started this podcast we said we wanted to interviewed legends we said we want to interview groundbreakers and people who's doing groundbreaking things and we speak about the man that we got in front of us right now you're talking about a person who's came from overseas came to America lived American dream got locked up and still came home and lived the American dream he did what he had to do consistently and one thing that I love about him he still keep his crew with him he's still got Brock warrior with him he's out here consistently doing what he got to do he got he got all types of currency and different [ __ ] formats Christensen [Applause] no I got a correct show to salmon then glorious career right but you don't know that you actually started from the bottle like because um because once you had your one like single locked up like your career just kept going kept going kept going so no one actually pays attention to the struggle prior to that so that's what I want to get into right now so so he was born in Senegal no I'm actually I was born in st. Louis Missouri I'm [ __ ] not ok he's [ __ ] up on everything else my pops was it was always a forward thinker like he made sure that we was all born in the States so we wouldn't have no immigration problems in the future so shortly out the burfi just shipped us all back we didn't even spend 30 days in the States after birth sent right back if fastball was blue or you got dual Passport no I got do a pass okay but it's to citizen when you born here yeah he was going to school yeah man Nellie was actually right do you city are like we are with the same so that's allowed now now I didn't hear this from you but I heard this from Nellie yeah that was like a big gang banging Oh 1,000% Wow one yeah no that was one of the reason why I moved to Jersey because I was getting too much trouble in st. Louis something that is very like a key to you I could see because you know all the goals all the accomplishments you have done you still keep your Jersey ties like oh man impress anybody jarick Jersey was a special turning point in my life for sure like that's what boy became man really you know saying and and around that time it was a lot of segregation and racism and maybe an African in Jersey City the Puerto Ricans embraced me and we say segregation you say between blacks and whites are you saying between blacks and Puerto Ricans general but to see the difference what I learned because where I was coming from it was just different like in Missouri's like it's a different kind of racially a you you fought I'm saying I guess differ so I just see difference between much diversity yeah it was a zijn Missouri nah okay [Applause] it was either black or white so if view was a fair color didn't matter what nationality was to meet you his wife right like you would have been consider white tomorrow and he would have instead of black so it was just it was just different so what I won't be Jersey and us and I heard Porto Ricans call them [ __ ] [ __ ] we are and as I started kind of [ __ ] as I started to realize me I was like yeah water because a little bit more [ __ ] vision Tomatoes like Oh everything that's a fact so yeah heard the right to say to worry digger like you hardness yeah like Portuguese out actually out [ __ ] Africans I mean most Latinos are a mix of everything know the connection is so tight like when I took a lot of my cup of block world family members to Africa they didn't even know that 35 percent of Africa speak fluent Spanish like they was looking like French - I just like most of West Africa every language in Africa spoke because it you know some kind of right takeover and colonialism for sure okay so that's just so beautiful I don't understand what crypto currency is nobody does okay can you break it down trying to figure it out you some money and just help it be freely I thing it's no dim from the stock market like okay people buy shares right what are shares yeah think about the worth is by how many people buy into it it's really about it is all part of Larry the song marketing saw promoting it's like whatever just was trusted the most right like in companies you buy shares and companies that's more trusted you know they gonna make a profit ago yield investment right so you go there which money because you know these guys in the next four or five ten years their projections say they're gonna make triple what they make it now so you're like okay that's some place I want to invest in right when you look at cryptocurrency it's a little bit different but it's almost the same concept the way I understand it now I'm still learning a lot about it myself because the more I get into it the more start to understand your court a coin yeah - a coin a coin which is a genius name by the way that's hard so invest I don't know what I'm gonna name but what you invest in is the future of Africa when you invest in equal and I heard you also say investor Africa we were getting there later yeah until you buy a coin so a coin now is like this is set up to empower that you know the occupant is it is it back to him maybe I'm wrong I don't know about him completely but his IPOs are backing this stuff who's that it's like the company's structure that backs up a cryptocurrency what does it thing crypto ain't really backed by nothing like Bitcoin you back buy anything right right is back it's the network is back by the popularity and the trust factor right you can trust to know that if you buy a Bitcoin is worth a certain amount of money that's any currency it's whatever the people say it's worth like right now these bottles could be worth more than money if we all come out and say this this bottles worth more than this money but in this case the dollar the bottle is worth money so in layman's like sneakers like sneakers when sneakers everybody says this is where this board is worth so much same thing so we use may ever made you even interested in something well maybe cuz I realized that this crypto is gonna be the future in currency that's I'll just watch how things change drastically in time to digital like and I can always compare everything to music like you went from you know two inch rails to 8-track tapes to vinyl or two cassettes to CDs to mp3s and now streaming oh right so now when you look at currency you went from you know stagecoaches you know to like literally trading whatever you're in trolled and fell restraining cattle to trading right you know go livestock actually creating something that gold can beat you know compared to which is the actual dollar it is today and dollar [ __ ] is gonna turn into something digital - so what makes you think that dollar itself anyone turn into a digital currency because we're saying dollars analog we Dallas analog is digital but crypto so from I mean now trip doors don't become the next digital Chris so if you don't invest in it now Slyke if you don't see that coming you've okay now blind right so now eight gone I know a card is rich but no V no you got [ __ ] everything you got Sam your shirt so now I wanna make a semicircle so now I want to invest so how do i how does one go about so who doesn't have your phone number you don't say who can't actually get this explanation so just for these lamest turns out there how do they invest in eight point well a coin it's gonna be up for sale in October beyond coinbase you know coinbase that app mmm it's gonna be everywhere okay I mean a coin is actually gonna be in more places in certain places and even Bitcoin itself oh you know cuz Africa we have a whole platform to do whatever in Africa's been ahead of the curve using yeah we heard the exchange to the phone yeah that was that was Bitcoin before a big riot right like they've been on the head of the air yeah they've been way ahead of it so you know eventually you'll be able to go to your local ATM and be able to trade money in for eight coins so so so I'll give you ten thousand I give like this example I'll give him ten thousand now what happens in return well you buy you invest ten thousand in any coin uh-huh you sit on it in two loop till the value goes up Wow and then you trade it in and then you trade it when you feel you need to trade it yes I mean everything you got to learn the game understand how you know the currency fluctuate up and down if you got windy bucket impasse right now rich people they got rich you don't be untrustworthy yeah but I do respect them and I do listen because now they don't give you information that you could utilize in your own life but the word trust on a that's that don't like it don't exist in business I realize right and if you want to have the upper on a negotiation they're gonna be things you're not gonna tell me so you can have advantage over the Odin over the negotiation so they already know trust because I'm negotiating to get a better position and you're negotiating to get a better position so according to what you know and according to what I know you gonna hold off a little bit to get in that position because yeah it's not a good business deal if I'm not in a better position than you okay yes okay so awesome you have also brought electricity to Africa a certain part of Africa are lots of parts of so what happened and why did you even like fill this need now first of all it was a need okay and I always looked at when I first did it was just really to kind of give back and walk the philanthropy but let me let me ask you so were you just going to these certain towns and seeing that there was no lectures no it is actually started triggered how a triggered was we was trying to do concerts in certain parts of Africa but we couldn't do it cuz there was no electricity hmm and I was like wait a minute you mean to tell me we don't have enough electricity to do a concert all right and that was an area where there was electricity but then we went to go do this like duh the concert and before the second song even came on all the lights went out and that's what I like man some got something got to give here you know Xan and I was just with trigger T that happened to me min ago public I was getting a haircut this is the same kind of shot triggered within what I want the job you know morning to visit your parents and where they live in there's no electricity then you want to what she complaining like we you and that affects everything that's what they they live that is every day so they didn't even noticed that there was a luxury than they never even experienced that the rest of the world is experiencing me leave it out of their experience what I experienced coming batteri you was feeling guilty so what my grandma but you think about you don't really know was good to see ya you know I'm saying and that wasn't a money plate for you correct not gave your money yeah money to get the you know to get it started you know was like 10,000 homes at the time it was 10,000 homes ah and what's the infrastructure you're setting up like what is it that it takes to start to give electricity to a talent it depends on what kind of lectricity you're given like it is going to dance what are you guys doing I mean right now I'm putting out solar mini-grids and so you got some of the Sun yes son you know Africa's never gonna run out of Sun so never it was a perfect that's why we can job I just got there make some noise father [Applause] I see no please [ __ ] oh [ __ ] all each so the big of the girls there's no bleach but when I see that oh sure I'm the exact opposite look I want to be black aura because you know why melanin is a great thing I'll study melon I understand it and I understand that all of us have it melanin is a blessing it's not a kiss it's not a curse that's the reason why they try to promote it as a curse because you know they don't want you to feel like a king that you actually are light and regular Libra right that's yeah man whenever that's whenever it's hot I'm gonna catch at least 30 minutes on that song oh you go out in ten oh yeah straight up I just I mean for me but I just can't let nobody get talking to me so rich a slow money the question real quick because I had this question for later on in the show mmm but you guys are like a real family you got a real real family like your family ain't playing and now yeah all of them sent it off everybody everybody's gonna now let me just tell you something I toured Europe a lot there's a lot of sin of all people that mean that migrated to your friends yeah Senegalese like Jamaica every [ __ ] I looked at in the eyes I'm synagogue I could tell they kill somebody wesa what were Laurie experience was no fear that's what you experience when you look at this when you look at a Senegalese you say that they had no fear right okay yeah I had fear nothing huh yeah they say sit there like it was this guy right I swear to God this is my CNN get like 25,000 so $25 are still good money right so we go to the club he pays us 25,000 but he gives us nothing this is in Senegal there's no this isn't France oh this is your homie that you've been telling Marseille my homies in my cell my homies in our Paris okay this is Marseille Marseille actually in soccer they got beat you can't even mention Paris in Marseille and vice-versa so we walk in the club and the god gives us our money and that's it right and I say anything with no bottles so VIP so I looked at the do and you know our road manager the towels like I bought the food is what the [ __ ] I said nori I'm having a bad night you lucky I page you he didn't say that but his eyes said that his eyes is like no I respect it and that's it we were man we do we gonna do now we gotta walk to the car I was glad I think he mad at this guy I'm so glad [Music] so the god-honest news by the most peaceful place in all of Africa oh wow never had a conflict is very religious base how about that's wise Congo those [ __ ] kill gorillas with a bang those [ __ ] ain't none depleted that was another promoter I have I had a DJ I forget his name he's from Switzerland forgot your name um totally forgot so sorry but another promoter he came he booked us same price the same thing did dad and dinner DJ say the Congo Congo is raised in military oh yeah they what they raised raised in the millet and you gotta stand they've been a civil war folks since I don't know how long between the East and the West I mean the colonies don't some fighters many kids our worries yes right the Congo Congo is nice twist where's to was the Blood Diamond stuff fat Sierra Leonean Sierra Leone you been you know I used to wear a lot of diamonds now you you like would it cuz you so rich you never had it so you just go hard Oh everything like literally over did everything but then you start to realize how much money you wasted you don't even be like what about why your economy changed this big something I'm gonna tell you I'm gonna tell you one of the crazy story let me get this off of my arm oh this I'm gonna land on one day its nose bites nose but it's not the whole [ __ ] City so so there's no gas none in like seven block radius so we're like [ __ ] it we have to all what's this [ __ ] next to the lungs more hotel to Swiss hotel but it was it fryer today I was the Western I believe that's its Western they I was due west but that's what sources do so is when I was a Swiss hotel so I'm not cool so I'll get my driver and they say to me okay no sweat if no one else have a gas the word a car has a gas station in his career [Applause] like I say you listen you know a cornice this one named Gatsby now say where he's a kind of caste like is it on Peachtree ha I didn't even answer the question [Applause] Chevron at the beginning of the block but okay he got a Chevron pump in the okay I'm talking la is a Chevron pump cuz I didn't wanna lie I'm so glad this one was true right what made you say oh Allah it was so rich that when the poisonous said it to me I was like yo ACON number definitely have it in sauce it lets us go to the can oh this is just chill just go to the ball for a second and she hit me for six hours in that gas station in this house I got a real value late my life is a [ __ ] nomina right here I told you I was over did everything that did so that was that phase when I just overdid everything and I wanted to outdo everybody I want to over 32 cause yeah you know so maybe before I left I would just you know fill up my gas tank being at a half team like I don't okay I never let it get under the half the black below the half mark I still fill up my me back for $20 [Applause] so you're building the career and you said [ __ ] it I never want to go out to get gas now I was too popular than it was just hitting I think it's mad frak that time I was thinking Street too because every time we used to Jack cause we did from the ghetto but that still some fly have too many cars that have been too many gas station stops I'm not taking a chance so will you say thirty two cars right I want to think of this now when you say thirty two cars what are we saying mate backs their legs up in a ghost right oh ha ha ha cause you ok oh ha ha so you don't got like Chevrolet 63 for master flex I'm gonna be honest yes he always collects junk cars you don't forward though you would say oh it was calm junk cars they just man alright the song sorry mmm-hmm one of my favorite songs also one of the times I kind of disagree with you I didn't feel like you shoulda said sorry at that time like at that topping you jumped in a crowd or something like that no what happened was I was in Trinidad and we was having a dirty whining contest huh and then a girl came up she was only 14 okay all right now I understand I had her father was a preacher now he was the preacher he preacher one more some you know respected churches over there right and the concert was a huge success even the contest was huge success but she won the contests so she ended up on the front page and newspaper landed me saying how successful the show was dad wakes up to read the paper the next Sunday morning and sees his daughter in a front page on top of me on the newspaper he flipped out so ok became exact yeah you know I was sexually you know whatever dancing with this minor do you mind not realizing that's the culture in Trinidad jump in the crowd of some [ __ ] like that that makes total sense cuz I don't know you actually apologize I was like I didn't want you because sometimes it's artists we bear on responsibility that's not that's not ours bueno exam no I got that for sure and then you know of course once CNN and everybody took up and took on a story all the sponsors start pulling out started doing all this right so this became where the actually the song came after Poughkeepsie it really didn't I was in jail not forgive see yeah and that's when I had food this kid off the stage for throwing some milk throwing someone stage for me so that's more so when I was apologizing for but so that's what I thought it was I mean sincerely that's what made me say you know what I need to grow up on that part of it now the trigger guys play I don't think that was my fault at all because I'm just doing my job I got paid for service it's not my job to secure security in that Club I don't even or Carter your dad answered the fat girl but actually when you were celebrity included the blame has to be on somebody right so the the proce that I took was if the club owners the security that whoever was possible for that protocol is not willing to be a man and take the blame I'll take it for you too very cool you know I'm saying that what about you right is I love you for years you know always a peaceful always respectful 100% but when you got goal you right because I have to go who everybody that's on yeah mmm-hmm this first seven things is a conf I didn't even know that about you that's crazy the first seven things right what's the first seven yes something like that so are you like appalled by the image because I know the real Akon like I know it godless it was violence involved in that I know that you ain't start not know used underground by April person violated then your peoples are kind of to do what they had to do but effect business in any which oh no it affects business in a big way oh you know I think I think anything negative like that that involves violence is on its gonna stop you money that's just period but I think at the same time when you get to a certain level and there seems to be a bigger influence towards real money the protocols that be is gonna actually try to keep you in a place where they can still control you and I think now that you do it through the internet and they do it through certain links and in searches and so on and so forth because most people don't go past that first page when they do searches you know I'm saying to see what you're really doing that's the first impression yeah that's why I lose you gotta be careful what you do because everything in every decision you make today is going fake you tomorrow and it always affects you when you're not even on that on that wave that's not a reason why you I heard that you did a big deal with China in terms of credit to help Africa mmm totally getting a credit line is that true I didn't deal with China has nothing to do with that though I'm saying like the u.s. line versus a Chinese credit line um that gets really deeper into politics but I would I would I would probably say that there's a reason why that's happening because political politically there's a lot of moves as being me and I'll probably announce them in a few or you know wants to come but you know it all makes sense once once we start you know give him some information now yeah and as far as Puerto Rico we tried to uh you know submit a proposal to be able to provide electricity for Puerto Rico time and and now proposal was shut down okay listen now I had a big debate right mmm because a couple of the homies they said that Lady gaga right they said that Lady gaga you discover Lady Gaga cuz she was writing for you right but that's not what I heard mm-hmm what I heard was you discover Lady Gaga cause she's praying for her I don't know what is which or if you wanna answer or whatever but how did how did how did that well Lady Gaga was the first artist son to um well first pop artists under the collar brand when I went to UNESCO con I kind of live car life yeah so your label yeah okay cool so to be very clear I didn't discover her she was already signed at Interscope hmm when my deal was closed and uh and uh I wouldn't be Jimmy and said I need that because at the time they wouldn't move in on that because she wasn't the priority so Jimmy plays you her music no no I just went through all the demos so you saw the talent so you're saying you closed your deal and you went and said I'm gonna listen to all your demos I want to see what I got in this building but like what's this think about it let's say right now you go to Universal uh-huh they've signed hundreds of artists that you don't even know is in that building I ain't listenin not one of them [ __ ] dem won't be on this harlot daddy huh the labels are already are they already invest in hundreds of thousand dollars into these signs these signees some of them come sit there two three years ago was yeah except there are two three years and get dropped and never had no energy put into him so I said before I go out discovering new artists out there that no one cares about never seen let me go into the box of all artists sitting in this building that they already put jammed money into he found out his n huh which makes all the sense in the world but going through it at the time I didn't hear her because she was doing blues like typist you know it just didn't the look and everything didn't fit and at the time I was writing for the Pussycat Dolls and I had just signed a producer named red one at the time so I was like yeah I had a brightest block cuz I was right when he's not from Kansas from Morocco okay he's from Morocco Africa North Africa yeah so ultimately man was right coming I just couldn't I was I had writer's block that day I couldn't come up with nothing so I needed some inspiration I was like you know get some girls here get some crazy you know give me some neck and spark some ideas he said well I know somebody that you can you know you can come rock with it's red one red one okay and you know you call Lady Gaga out and what her name was Lady Gaga at that time yeah okay cool so he walks into the studio she walks in the studio and then you are a car this is already locked up this is your red lip yeah I mean you got cereal diamonds everywhere you know so ultimately you know we do the song she goes in a booth and she's demoing the song out and I'm like yo this [ __ ] is a star now when you say you do the song she's demoing it out hmm you saying you lay the vocals and then she said your vocals over no no like we wrote the song and she went in to demo it out for to see how it would sound so she came out the booth I was like you know what's your situation like are you signed mmm and she's like yeah I say we're like what building head of school I say are you serious she said yeah how long you been there and she said well you're gonna have two years I was like oh [ __ ] well just you know this work something out she's like hell yeah let's do it so I called Jimmy a CEO Jimmy I don't know exactly who I want to sign off label ASAP when I was like he's a who I said Lady Gaga he's like really I said yeah I don't his mind he's trying to figure out like what she's already signed for the label that distributing your label yeah what kind of deal is that he's a joint venture so it changes for her now numbers don't change okay Justin I'm assuming Jim feels like numbers don't change the only difference is Jimmy was split he has to give those to you because now you're investing in it exactly whether it's investing money we use our time I'm taking over the project right that point you know I'm doing all the music adding yourself to the project is investing in it no he's Jimmy knows what I do right right so Jimmy had no problem you know was saying okay take that and put it under your umbrella and let's make this thing big you know I'm saying now in any other system they probably would have been like do it as well because they either gonna do that or they gonna end up dropping it right because it's one of the list of things that there's no attention put on you and she was the kind of autism was so creative it was hard to really figure out what that is because she had been through four or five labels before she even landed in Moscow so so okay this conversation with Jimmy Jimmy gives you the green light is that Chloe yeah man now what's the next step after that next up we spent three days in the studio and finish the album me here on red world studio we're at it was in Atlanta yeah we did that whole album in Atlanta they're not look at Doppler yep we did her album and Tammy Chan's album all on the same off several ropes same moon because after we finished Gaga's album then we end up doing Tammy turns out so now when we get into the writing process but how did the writing process the writing process for me is really simple because after the beat is made I go in there later melody and then I listen to the melody do not put the words to it now if that were hot as well yeah what her she's the sheet she does pretty much the same thing I think that the melody uh way was like we she kind of adopted it from us cuz I think I know but she's you know she was she was already classical classically you know trans piano and everything like that my opinion my opinion it feels like wood you gave to her is the same exact thing what a Chicano gave to Justin Bieber mm-hmm like they they got soul but you know like the cosign that now what Justin gave to just gave to Justin Bieber was cosign as far as credibility and a mentorship cuz someone could say that about Dre with Eminem yeah like me one when I get involved with artists who I sign artists on a label it's it's listen s cosine is the last thing that I see as a as a um you can say is uh an advantage for them because we don't we do beyond that we actually develop artists like we do we artist Lee develop them you know what I mean in an act all that's done I'll go on a row with them from radio station to radio station to meet a DJ like I put through the same you like the same process I would do we jump in it but you go with them yeah I'm there I'm there and everybody out there in the business know when someone because we all know someone gets involved in someone's career and then it works what is that now what does that look like now the business situation between y'all the relationship what is that now good like it's still the same business situation no it's not it's not at all what she goes on then you yeah she's her own boss she's her own person you know she makes her own decisions so how far long does that take to happen that normally depends on a person depends on the person you know some artist is after the first hit record and some artists is after five six albums and some stay together family it all depends and is it ever like bittersweet in a sense is there a bad business I don't think it's never really bittersweet for me you know um because I I do it to actually empower them to do it on your own so you want that for your art absolutely no I mean absolutely cuz not every situation yeah big artists for them to leave them yeah I develop them to be free you know I'm saying because if you look at it from a monetary gain standpoint or financial gain you gain no matter what because you're always gonna be attached to the product right you know times in I felt like when you was I mean in this you said you went to the radio station for me as a DJ at the time it didn't seem like you were attached to the project like I felt like you were okay even like it felt like you felt back you were letting her just be her and do her and did not seem like she was attached to you it doesn't mmm what the part you're talking about is letting the world know that was attached mmm because I didn't want her to be painted no kind of way urban you just wanted her to be her like yeah because as a business person I was like the moment people know that she's with me then I won't give her the same shot and she's not gonna get that cause I need her to get because otherwise a whole bunch of [ __ ] already following her and she'd be like pink selling a million records and trying to get out of that to do something different right so what happened I'm sorry I was in the bathroom real quick um so what happened for the separation oh and then I was offered you know a buyout to just uh you know if my share of the prize you know my part on a businessman no like how does that look good when the artist goes on you know oh no I mean well it's just if I if I didn't you know agree to the buyout I'll still be attached business-wise but as the artist you kind of feel obligated to make art artist feel as a businessman I'll raise the value so I can sell it God that it's damn it that's all [Applause] it's now hardest [ __ ] right now no respect that I respect down so so you guys made history it's still cool oh yeah oh so she's like mother sister okay would you be on your Spanish Alex you got a Spanish out come on look over the images look at richness man that's one guy right I gotta have some respect for him because he signs you he's not like he's not know when I was at Universal he was the president at university Suns all her but now I was under what do you mean so I got that money as many as as much as he's a cop CMS so awesome all the time [Applause] you know he was he was one of those guy like he was he understood how the corporate side work and he also understood how to street sound work that's why he was the perfect medium between the two sides and he was able to create on an urban level the impacts that most people could never impact and most time you know people know the name but never seen his face yeah yeah you can't put him on camera that's it yeah I think me again Popular Front we should Jacob watch [ __ ] Jacob with me [Applause] [Music] you know what pump said some another day I would like to reiterate what he said does I look like a dog thing of this and I figure gaudy I think the name - is I think of Biggs I think a hole and puff said there's so much limited of Mark Pitts ciaossu this almost limited black CEOs I'm there right now and puffs complaint was that corporate America white America whatever part of America you want to call it it's not even invested or even trying to make more black CEOs happens we got no idea we got these certain people's out there that's funny is it be funny whether it's their own independent company over the head and Sony or heading you know a Def Jam's what do you think about that I think is happening because we're you make it happen yet who do you think do you think making them billions we doing it so you expect them to invest in us like well we can't invest our own like think about it while we can't do it I don't wanna percent understand what you're saying but what puppets and is and this is our industry exactly so so the companies should be invested it's our people in this particular industry so he's he's not saying everybody companies which we can know that's more than you know Def Jam should have forgot he running it Kedah should still be running Universal oh you know oh so we're all okay and so on and so forth their company okay that they built okay you want that Diddy how about we start our company that we bill and we've become a CEO that's why we all revolt right now because think about it bro like the problem is nobody thinks tomorrow long-term universal ain't a company that was built yesterday last week yeah these come with a man almost a hundred years old so we gotta think 100 years tomorrow and they funny Bob of Indy right but they even them that's all European companies on all the water in France what how to [ __ ] you all the time you know that the Bee Gees coming today is a word I think it's what the [ __ ] [ __ ] said [ __ ] on wall of water in France I said I'm put on my weakness is actually the own majority of the ports you know the ports on the water ya know all the shipping and all that come in and majority of his money come from Africa ya know that I know him [Laughter] electricity either did everything in a buggy at Duke okay so home Hey I got something I got some questions I was ready for a long time brother we got to Lady Gaga [ __ ] out here okay so now here's where we go I would like to say rested piece to screw 1,000% um I had never met screw me personally but I've been affected by schools and you guys somehow was was whatever I don't know the story right being Capone was actually not good at that time yeah so but I remember how how much in the beginning and when this first happened how much you know block worry wherever I was that beautiful block um I'm looking and there'll always be somebody like [ __ ] like a neighbor like noticed I am and I was just standing there never like a black but I understood exactly I'm a mess screw but I understood how important is he was yeah Danice who me as a person who's who uses my intelligence I went study so I went and that's probably one of the most genuine enough when 1000% yeah but I'm just saying from what I've researched mmm-hmm probably most straight-up that I'm down almost realest people so how did you even meet screw yeah they don't make him like him no more I met him when I moved to Jersey okay you know he was actually the one that kind of mentored me because he's like a big brother to me and then he introduced me through no crew at board and a ball and Posse at the time before block boy that even existed and that's how that whole concept came about because we was like words he on her own block it was one sitting all royalties on her okay well is to me nine state okay no and that's how it all you know the whole concept came Bob but he was he was clearly a leader though right that's for sure right you know I'm saying so and everybody looked up to him in a big way because he was the / he was the person if there was a problem they would call him to you know put both sides together and piece it together that's why would he called him screw because everybody know so when there was a problem there cause Scootie like out of respect feeling like I could talk with chop it up and you always put you know if we put people together now it's the best herb you know that's what that was this thing so do you know do you know the actual story of yeah so so it was me screw make a poem we were all hanging out that day cuz you know I was yeah it was together whole week right you know and then so but I was leaving school is leaving out to go to the Bahamas that day then it happened so me you know we was coming from New York me screw Capone we went up on the test after locked up it's a car is a car it on it's not like you're not coming up you you you're on your way I'm on my way okay good right mmm so you know who's like yo we're heading to the Bahamas everything was going good we did we do this thing every weekend at the ringside ringside you I just you know we stand picture with you and Snoop Dogg at ringside yeah so Mario is the guy named Arvin Eli Godfather done it right so ultimately you know so we invited Capone like yo man you gotta come out [ __ ] with us you know you have a great voice Capone eventually supposed to sign to Brian who's think about the c'mere school is actually you know it's my brother so everything was doing together so the whole idea was you know the block royal would be the ha music or that was convict was already in place okay but block Royal was something we want to do for the community Wow you know I'm saying and more so anything we wanted to make it more keep it Latin Wow you know convict music would be the black side black boy is the Latin side cuz it was different music different genre different you know comes in so ultimately you know we went up and half the comedy show everybody had a great time now I had to go back to my hotel to grab my bags and everything could we leave it out that morning so as I'm saying okay we're gonna pull out we getting a call we start pulling in they still in the UM in the comedy center everything let's out Capone and everybody's downstairs chillin nice spot to close out but not quite everybody is out front Capone was about to pull out so screws like I will cool let me just make sure I'm walking through car make sure everything is all good as the pawn was moving out he wanted a little hair to screw cuz that was a conversation happening and as Capone was coming out somebody jammed him to do against the door with a gun trying to rob him for his chain school notice that dude was trying to get at him so he rushed out through the front and caught do dead in the act as he was robbing Capone and you're not dead but this is what you hear I'm you know he's robbed Capone so screw step the front grab the Dukan you know with the gun and snuffed him as he snuffed the moves everything was going on moving around going on everybody came out realized okay it was a fight y'all go jumping and everything else and screw was on top of me just punching him punching and punching him next thing you know he just fell on him he was like why everybody jumping anything going on come sign out because of all the commotion and was gone when when screw grab and punch dude the gun went off wait so the guy on the floor as he was snatching the gun to hit him you know you photos in it now in the guys apartment one point at you yeah so the guys pointing at him school grabs them and then cigar and a mix of all that happening okay school is on top of them punching him now so they're not thinking that nobody got shot he's not even know when he got hit you father wouldn't window it off so when he fell on him that's when they realize oh [ __ ] he's actually here you thought I was in so as they was rushing them to the hospital he got there safely but didn't by the time he got there by the time I got to the hospital yeah yeah cuz the reason how I heard about it was paper in Jersey had wrote about it and when they wrote about they said Noriega mMmmm yeah they couldn't tell y'all to a part at the time I can call him first off everybody please right now I would like to have a moment of silence screw so anybody give us three four seconds god bless ma'am yeah I know but like I said I've never met two homie yeah good every every Porter we get [ __ ] I have a met that knows him they still don't like my so I appreciate I appreciate you keeping his memory alive and I appreciate you keeping the block warrior people of Israel around you lake because it's an honorable thing to do because the level you're at you don't have to keep ties with anybody I mean you don't have to you should but you don't have to but the fact that you do shows how hard a move you on and I have the respect that you want you you got one eat or you were okay guy what you gonna I got I'm gonna swim yeah yeah yeah well I'm going is different human head I go they just yet like nine dead numbers inflated inflated that's for yeah I got more than one I can God doesn't go that far but I can't go deep into it just yet okay so you multiple Wow polygamy now in order for me to do that mmm-hmm I gotta be Muslim now that's a moisture hotter you can be Mormon uh-huh you can be Mormon Mormon no I can't be one [ __ ] don't watch TV I need my TV air what we hang is the biggest be lucky the cry we can be morbid or not you can actually be Christian too because y'all scared I'm definitely good unless you can do it all right so all right so explain to the normal [ __ ] that scared that you can have you can have Keyshia and Aisha if you want it like in Africa is a tradition so this is just a different life all your wives are Africa naughty all-american epsilon say I gotta be a student right now I'm in therapy class how do you pull this officer but it's not really letting you pull off like think about and look at the average person today right you got your main girl you got your side piece I hear all that talking I'm just saying I don't know how y'all title them how y'all say it the fog rolled out we all going down okay this may not apply to you or my brother oh well whoever else that it may not apply to but the average guy has his main shape aside piece or mistress is jump off and whatever else knew that come about it could be a one-night stand it could be somebody to me at the club whatever the case may be now at the end of the day we can say that that your girl don't know what you're doing or don't know what's happening but she knows you better than you know yourself she know what the hell you're out there doing bro she just don't call you out on it and women have this tendency of what it's actually natural if you tell her that this is what it is she bills and starts to structure her life around what you tell her right so that's how women do because they're very emotional creatures so they're gonna build a life around you and what makes you happy and not only that but what makes you comfortable so if you tell look baby just what it is in my life this how it is she builds her life around that now so now imagine being a person that caters yeah their whole way of existence around the way you live and then one day finds out that everything you didn't tell her was a lie so now she should have structured her whole life around a lie and then you do [ __ ] then I mean every woman is different how they react to it it depends on the woman but they don't react my approach is just totally different I'll keep it all the way 100 you tell from the beginning from Mary straight up like credit cards bastard nori wait I said in Norway but like in a car way is like is this similar like you listen baby you can't be the prize and you get in it it's not like no but see no you use you like you approaching it from a pimp yeah so it's nice okay let's put this way is as simple as this let's say you married I am oh we're not trying to you try to look good in front of his wife won't care that makes you look guilty you don't have to try hard if you feel good husband you gotta wave the white flag turnabout's very true [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] let's say the average guy is taken right Eddie meets a girl and the girl that he's went now that he's taking when he's already had a conversation saying listen this is my way of life this is the tradition yes I'm planning on marrying you but I'm entitled to having one two three or four lives all right now do you explain that to number one okay from day one if she's cool with that and alhamdulillah that's you if she ain't cool with that then she's not the wife for you if that's what you plan to do now on a woman standpoint this is what happens two things happen first of all you keep it real her so she keeps that respect for you because you didn't lie to her you told her exactly what you feel and what she's getting into and number two now she can prepare yourself mentally to say okay you know what if I deal with nori and this is what he wants is this something that I want in my life you follow him saying now she can make that decision cuz you gave her the option to make that decision okay but you have you ever met a bad [ __ ] or you like your baby y'all trying to get me she's like man you like I don't wanna know [ __ ] with a wife and you just lied for that moment he was like never he wasn't in Mexico one night no listen you know just before I was who I was you noticed what I got you MA so what I'm saying is at the end of this year pops ooh yes like taking business down there Phil to this day if that happens I tell it straight up look I'm look is right now I don't even try to hide I let him know straight up I'm married and I got this amount of kids and they come first only kids yeah enough I got six and a possible I don't know what I was just to be friends but if I want to know we should get her to [ __ ] me in the problem we were just in the club just the other day my mother brother and we know what everybody already know the chicks came to me asked him to be a wife she introduced herself to me as his next wife like hi I'm your brother's next wife I'm like [ __ ] yet yeah like hello I'm your new wife and let him know dude and communicate that right you follow like if I already communicated that okay one that comes to me already no one would it is oh now you haven't communicated that so she's coming to you knowing what it is to hurt you know you know you know this girl was in Big Pimpin got my girl bro relax story but it is a real story I want you to tell me if my friend is petty enough his name is DJ Irfan he's my brother story his girl with the big premiere video a real girl hates that you bring this story about a [ __ ] Tom and then she went to OG Wally video and then he'd never tell well that's not the way went that song song no no this is my story I'll let you stay is 30 back now if your girl with your big fib minute would you bother video girl younger older way she go down to say she was a girl she's inspiring to be a mama oh she's in coming off good girl inspiring to be a must aspire to be a model and goes to aspire to be a model I work for the casting company so would you as new Cassidy [Laughter] [Music] I cool especially in that era of hip-hop yes models don't exist in casting like you say you knock down a lot of models no what I'm saying is I was trying to go there I know you music videos were never made for models hmm so if you're trying to be an aspiring model with the video scene is not where you gonna beat it cuz first of all if you've been in a video agencies ain't gonna accept you because I used they never at that time especially they didn't look at hip-hop videos on as something classy to look at that was some ratchet oh he pleaded my case for me you know I'm sayin I mean it all depends I'm good so on you said you said the video mock okay so now he was wrong for cut no I didn't cut her off therefore she was in the thong song it would do anything bro this gee Wally no threat why some Turkish is going to join you there yes this guy was a good guy but y'all [ __ ] man my woman taught my shoot come here what are you up man right now if you only tell you go to my video right now as she see your ring is biggest motion so we're gonna say both but you gotta doing some good oh whatever you guys it doesn't matter how many you that that [ __ ] is you got more than one and you wait and you got great is why oh no I just communication man no miscommunication but Dollard is partisan time it's been in two that's the hardest part the hardest part I just need for putting the time here so what does Akon doing the date what do you got a roller skating rings oh you mean for fun yeah now go to movies movies here what's the last movie you saw I've been the movies in a minute so what do you do for fun what's a fun day foot the studio everything yeah well um I only got one woman so that's cool what do you got a satisfy would be right so now one of your loss we don't know how many wives we got we don't care we just know you got like one of your wives come to you and say babe would like to spend a date with you what is your plan take it from there I would tell to make the plan you would tell them to make them yeah it's easier so now sees and then won't need it they got more time to think about they do great I mean we when we do things ain't really much we could do all right we don't do much because you can't really walk through the park yeah yeah they know all the fun stuff to do all right you can't go to Nobu by yourself no yeah buddy Nobu you could go to normal by yourself what's no Buddha New York I never know what is nobleman ever been to was one in in the UK but not mistakes you gotta go to the one in Malibu brother ain't been one you know what I'll take that back I didn't go to one metal that's the new one the one near the Soho so song yeah [Applause] crazy so but you have a no but that's a big thing nobody knows when I was never really um like a industry restaurant type or dude that's why you never see me in the restaurant the food is bland is the service is mad little I like I like like a hole-in-the-wall gotta like soul food we're stinking slimy in a hood for food so let's describe one of your favorite hood fools cuz you know I got a fool show as well let's describe one of your favorite hoodie shop oh man Island cafe in Atlanta I'm more to drive bro listen to me I don't care what where you ever ate West Indian food yeah you'll find no place bigger better than any Catholic Island cafe have you ate ever a famous fish 141st Street and st. Nicholas in Harlem no I don't think so I might have done spy you took it throughout I might have though what kind of spot is it it's Pratt fish oh yeah if it's fried fish I'm in enough well you don't fall for it not unless his high school [Music] when you start experience of fishes yes true like this is like good progress we started a flavored fried fish - you put some hot sauce Oni whereas when you start eating like you an invitation it super hot dirty mole right now okay mom so locked up mmm we already covered that no we did not this is the introduction to the industry me yeah I'm not gonna saying I apologize but you understand my passion mmm [ __ ] up comes out now you said he was born in st. Louis so you're actually not the immigrants that um that's going through this immigration [ __ ] right now but you could have easily been born in Senegal but you went back to synagogue right you were just born coming back you are like oh if you would have been born a synagogue two days before came to the st. Louis and then when I got locked up you wouldn't even be here possibly not so how do you one how do you feel like about the you know the immigration [ __ ] is horrible I guess horrible bro I honestly I don't even know what to say about it you know this is inhuman to me all right I was never a kind of person that liked anything like gates barriers or you know supporters anyway you know I feel like the earth was built for us to roam through it like addition never should be like a boarder live where you can go on earth I'm talk about do you reside in this thing's right now yeah Mason do you ever feel like what everything went on right now to like live somewhere else another country um I mean I got places in other countries but I prefer to be in the States yeah now if I had to make a choice between living in Africa and living in the States I would choose that for get to [ __ ] out what part out for us in Senegal Senegal [ __ ] like that yes it's amazing I got I got Miami temple place yeah I mean yeah you go Dakar caber Todd is right next door to each other beautiful is I'm it's like it's like Hawaii okay Burt yeah oh that's what Cape Verdean oh wow that's what I'm like that's where all Boston is from yeah majority boss Rhode Island yeah from their ear trees are with it too and what it really sounds very exotic so now locked up so this song comes out now it's inspired from you being locked up where at what time um which mean like win yeah I got locked up in the round so locked up you come home you come home SRC correct yep this is Steve Rifkin which is my boy ah informative loud music formal obviously formally laughs so how does this connection come up for locked up to even come up um well when I got out I was I was um at the crib just kind of just in the studio Derry City no I was in Atlanta living there at that time and then um no gas station no gas is pretty gas dude it is so divine was shopping five songs and I just recorded Oh divine okay yeah so ultimately what happened was we I got offers from like four or five labels and Steve Rifkin was brought to our attention who a friend of ours I named it Bernard Alexander oh no kitaro said about the table Steve book would never had anything RB is that correct no he did he had some I was quite sure what is I don't even know who Steve Rifkin was at that time nobody was coming he's coming off walked into Mobb Deep those guys Big Pun Big Pun rather so at the time like we was literally a little hood like we lived in Atlanta I was standing at the time we was like a little instant in senator hood but we had like a huge mansion right in the middle right and I was upstairs and the vine was like yo man you know we got an exact that's gonna come by you know meet you he want to meet you so I wasn't sure from what label to who you know and then I look outside and I see you know these two white guys coming through the door with t-shirts and in jeans and one hand a Souter that whole huh the whole it was I don't know I don't know who the two guys he wasn't rich I just know you know what rich Isaacson I think was one of them at the time okay I think he wasn't one of them another one was a secure some Russian security do but I thought he was the face I ran through the back come back come find out I didn't dip down to back dough so he go find me I'm at the park like [ __ ] what the [ __ ] I think it over here but that's exact I was tell you about like oh [ __ ] so I come back through the front door and I see Steve Rifkin you know those people have no idea down the earth though oh you know Matt cool he calmed he said listen I know you got other offers on the table he said I'm you know I don't have any money I'm gonna tell you right now I don't have the kind of money he said what I can't tell you his dad if you sign with me I'm a whole you down and I'm gonna do everything in my power to make sure I make you a star no matter what whatever sacrifice I need to make i'ma make and what drew me to Steve was the fact first of all he came to my house in the hood where nobody would show up in that Harriet I was full forward so for him to come that far and take the first flight out after hearing the records and come to me that was worth more than any kind of money anybody how did you guys even get him in the records I'm sorry it was sent to him okay it was it was you know the records were sent to him which I met him somewhere something wrong uh we had never met until we all send in Rick to labels now Bernard Bernard came and took my records you know the Bernard came and took my records he wasn't around you know shopping oh and he got I think he connected with a guy named at the time was Kenny burns and Kenny burns is the one that took this the record - Steve Rifkin hmm you know I'm saying you got you got matter of fact I take that back um no was it was I was I was Isaacson yeah and then um when we got moving when he was on 3-way Kenny was on the other side like I told you [ __ ] I'm telling you I totally you know he's more than anything but yeah Kenny Kenny definitely was the one that passed it over to Steve before Steve came out there but it was more about you know I knew at that moment that I can build something with this with this guy you know it was Steve that's what I knew I couldn't build something big with him because it was about his passion for what I did and his willingness to be down no matter what and that meant more to me anything especially with that mentality Streetman tell you at that time oh so when you think about the word lonely mm-hmm the first thing that comes to you she DeKalb County yeah yeah that's probably that's that's where I would saw some more I had no idea I had locked up and lonely next to each other had no idea so lonely he was locked up in a jail yeah Wow that whole first album majority of it every song in there was wrote in jail except trouble nobody cuz I really like don't then the reason why like ghetto was written in there I mean all the songs except trouble nobody choking her by lonely song off that album that I didn't write while I was locked up and I wrote that after I left court yeah I got out of court and I wrote that one because the judge told me not to trouble nobody huh so um you come home makes you want to keep these all noon with you I wouldn't know how to write new material cuz all my songs is based on my experiences so I didn't know how to not talk about what I was already going through first of all cuz I was surrounded by it and like I was being grounded by everything that I'm going through anyway so I couldn't even think outside of what I was dealing with to even make up a story or make up you know a song for that matter you know I'm saying so that experience actually became the content in which I wrote about before you end were you already an aspiring artist before I was in I was inspiring hustler I think the music was more of like a UH a way of kind of a vet you know event kind of platform for me I know cuz I don't really talk to too many people about my problems so whenever I was going through somebody's write about it but solis yeah so music was more like a hobby for me I think it would be somehow utilized as a career okay um now investing Africa know we touched on a little bit earlier I like to go deep in debt mm-hmm why should why should we invest in Africa I know what I would like for us to tell the the masses the whole world well this this what I can't tell you I know a lot of times we we have the tendency to blame the white man for everything that's going wrong right and why do we have this [ __ ] up [ __ ] play that's just playing I mean I mean that's all that's nice majority of African Americans in America feel you know you're not saying on the number I don't feel that may not make they don't necessarily mean it's true but with the circumstances that surround us that's why we believe that way you know so at the end of the day it was like if you are in a position in life where you feel like you don't own your own content you don't own anything and they should be investing in us this is the opportunity now to be able to own that in which we're complaining about because in Africa is a clean slate you can build that Empire there you can build an infrastructure there it's just a man you already got the you know the information you already educated on how to do it because we've done it here and made billions of dollars for corporations all day Africa's the only place in the world what black people can go and build fortune 500 companies from scratch within five years I'll be like China easily no seriously and this took them hundreds of years to build you can build it now within five years China took that same you know my state twenty-five years ago China was no devil from Africa twenty-five years ago go to China now look at Dubai de middle east they just started 15 years ago and some kind of I mean we just want to be understand wouldn't you exactly mean so you're saying that Africa right now so how can Africa beat a new China how could we say that black ball are black people yes go back to Africa okay whatever you're doing here do it there was a little state entertainment education sneaker company whatever clothing line whatever start it there do it there don't even start it do it there it's gonna grow out of there anyway but Africa's big enough you won't ever have to need no other country anyway think about it everything you do Africa no you don't it's over a billion people who's the biggest company yeah it was the biggest continent was consummated courageous the biggest continent Korea in Russia and in India all them put together though right that makes Asia right and it's not that much bigger than Africa in Africa the second-biggest continent with more natural resources well with all the natural resource area that's the difference well so we got we got a reliever got a pot of gold and nobody even going for exploited by outside how do we start this how did we start how did we start to say you know what there's invest back in the motherland I think the key is that you know first of all you gotta released a fear because a lot of you know African Americans afraid to go to Africa yeah which I mean that I was over so many shows to Africa be honest and then they told me I agree shots I was like ah I'm good mm-hmm and I've never actually been to Africa because I didn't want to get the shots I didn't know I didn't know they inject and [ __ ] in me but I was scared this is bad thing that's why I said you got to release the fear you have to because first of all only white people need shots to go to Africa black people don't need no shots whatever why why is that or even a room with it you need shots to go down I mean it's fear the same way they told you aids started in Africa Wow you can die from malaria they tell you all this stuff another step - Wow you know they tell you what you're gonna add forget take you know shots and you got took like five or six different you know types of shots to save you from this save you from that see that room we even exist though I mean the hope because they know the value of black people going back home can you imagine if African Americans in America decided you know what man [ __ ] America we going back home and then every all the value that we bring here we took over there America would exist no more of live suban none of that would work think about it just imagine man Oh all the major ball players left started their own team back home all the major recording artists left start at their own labels back home just imagine just those two sectors we're not talking about all the inventors that never got the credit for all the [ __ ] that they invented like cell phones and all that that black people invented you would never even know all these these software companies that's taken you know all you have no I'd like people we don't even know how much value we even have we have no idea just imagine if we just woke up one day I don't that's where that's right I swear that's world that's forever because collectively we got enough to do it we don't have to buy a borrow any from nobody we can do it ourselves if we just came together to do it I really mm-hmm like would like to be involved in something like that why not invest in Africa I want to invest in like you know LeFrak City of Africa just starting with LAN know you start with LAN think about it right lamb-lamb okay what's the average cost of a lake acre in New York City just thinking you can't but if you could buy it you're gonna spend a lease know five six million acre easy so now imagine you had that six million mmm in Africa you know how many acres you can buy for six million in Africa I do not know cuz I'm ready to move a thousand dreams and you're going out there good you could buy a thousand acres with six million dollars never I could live like the king of Zamunda they were they wash my warrior penis I just need to understand that because I may be honest I think even my wife would let that go down more Blair I quote this is it this is it nothing else going down baby right but that's how I become a man you can live it up man how you been listened oh well I'm Eddie and um you mean today's will kind of today's what kind of that's was the original work on that original conv it was America was the original economy right so mundo the [ __ ] got his own money - no I'll have your money I must being your money [ __ ] that all right so now solsa Morrow youngji's mm-hmm I see ja 20 years looking young just recently performed the both of y'all have a suits on Jeezy had on no socks it was crazy you see Jesus easy ways different shorts now which was Chris is different he's getting a lot of money that's I'm getting a lot of money shorts when that first the first initial phone call happened mm-hmm Jeezy new artist he's predominantly a new artist yeah and then you guys we really paid a wall mm-hmm so where were you and what position you was in Atlanta oh yeah buzzing in Atlanta yeah oh yeah that's right you did establish yeah so they get that call so so what do you think from it we'll call which one you tell my G Z Z Z cuz now I'm sole survivor mmm so you get the call to say that you that they want you also survivor no no that was um actually meets with one that called me and told me to help you know be a part of turning them up you know that DJ man don't want to be at that time of course at this time you ought this is already locked up was already out yeah all that was already yeah okay you know so you know everybody had a huge influence at the time EMF was one of the biggest influences on the street side you know Atlanta I'm on the brother boo I mean Omar was running around with them and me I couldn't be around either at that moment in time can where I was going and all this other craziness but ultimately music was what I was known for in Atlanta so least reached I was like man I got this all I need you to hear this when I first heard and I went to patchwork I met Jeezy personally and played me that was just [ __ ] ridiculous yeah okay so me and Jesus connect instantly from that connection and then I thought about it the whole time I was in Vegas and I had this record that I had wrote when I was trying to figure out when I was gonna release it but tell me you gave hearing Jesus listen after hearing Jeezy on that record I said yo this record right now especially what's happening with that buzz and what's going on with him this record don't change change changed the game so you're telling me are you telling me you gave Jesus so so uh yeah I gave it all yeah but I did what I was supposed to do is it exactly what it's supposed to do love this quiet yeah so the guy wants to do a record with you mm-hmm you're never really heard of him what's you you door over the fam yeah EMF lit and you say let me um let me this is the REC I'm a sole survivor was was yo-yo was already on there yeah vocals already on it no like literally I called him I said [ __ ] I got the record for you g zo g z the day is he instantly loved the record the moment I sent it five minutes ago by after the chorus came he called me said [ __ ] maybe this year right here I said I'm telling you this year I knew it - I was like I knew it - an hour - knew it - knew it but he would he was the perfect I felt like he was the perfect perfect at that time I thought he was more perfect for that record to be and not you made it mmm your producer yeah that's when I was in real full production mode I just felt like it was a it was a stronger record it being his then mine as an artist at that time you know I'm saying yeah you gave it to her he lays it be body to to and that's what I was more confirmed when he sent me when he sent me some verses back I was like oh my god so you see sure to break it back prior to everybody's yeah heard it where was you at I was I was still in Vegas when he send it back he sent it back the next day when I was in Miami that's day that's my spot okay see the only thing bought says he stay music suck let's throw it out there yeah music is horrible news Garvin sissies food is fantastic woman fantastic food ah I'm a fat guy look I like the yeah I got a relaxed what's up my man how you doing man you look you look like you very autistic when I first met about to his ex and you look like somebody Pharrell will hire [Applause] great my friend hey good news o eiko i you've basically done like if the industry was a girl you [ __ ] in their [ __ ] her nose you [ __ ] in ass like this that you started out with that that's the first there's a second thing you did that they want the [ __ ] what is this next thing you man we're just a little bit so what's the next thing for a cup cuz now you you got the cryptocurrency you got you've discovered the biggest white girl you discovered the new britney spears and our day and time Lady gaga I think oh yeah I think I was all good oh so what the [ __ ] could be left else for you to do I say just build a legacy yeah keep the platform available for everybody else to be able to get up and had a opportunity the same thing I'm so corporate out on you nota answer that that was real say that yeah I'm sorry [ __ ] it's really very for you I wasn't very good yeah I mean we all put up we don't we all put each other on enough right we don't put each other we just don't man you know I built my career off making other people's careers if we all did that we'd be good now also French Montana was your artist yeah how did that transpire what no man actually Bobby brought him to me gobby from loud SRC yes Bobby brought it to me my man Gabby that he beat this [ __ ] yo this [ __ ] his phone just sticks to his cheek yeah no don't give me that one he hold it with that one finger Gabby bring you that please now what happened now is this the DVD era yeah it's around the time when he was um he had just did the DVD was doing DVDs uh-huh then why sign him and then we rolled together for about a good year you know flew him to Atlanta you know he started man yeah he got aspired on that side cuz French was a he was a chameleon like he can adapt any style and a good thing about him and he was one of the artists and didn't want to be putting one specific box and he tried different things you know I'm saying that's why I liked him a lot you know so he definitely gone off the net and then we should working some records in New York and he called me he's like yo man I got a call from Diddy did he really want to be a part of the project I said what [ __ ] let's talk to him I see what's going out and you know we met with Diddy diddy you know at the time Diddy and French were spending a lot of time together you know cuz I'll be wondering everybody get around and just make sure they understand the game what he dealing with and did he was always one of those dudes when it when it come the artist from New York I always felt like he a good part of the half especially running around in New York so he called he's like hell man you know puff on the side what do you think I said was [ __ ] and then you should do it you say what you gonna feel some kind of way I said [ __ ] you are in New York artists y'all [ __ ] New York New York [ __ ] I'm international I can't do [ __ ] from you until you break in New York anyway ain't nothin I could do for you you know and that [ __ ] believe in you I'm not gonna tell you know loud I think I believe in you so I reached out to Diddy bidding did he was like cuz I just did the joint venture with Diddy and rare cafe write shortly before you know and he was like yo [ __ ] I'm tell you we got another we got another was sold to sneak a French I said Diddy man listen please if that [ __ ] want to be with you and you feel like this is something that you could take the next level let's work these things out let him go let me don't make it happen cuz I think I always felt like you know collaboration is gonna be the key to your advancement anyway but you got to just make sure you got the right partner you know I'm saying and the things that did he could do for French at that time I didn't have the time to do it for him you know French is like my little brother and I want to make sure he got the best or the best for what it is he was trying to do and at that time I thought did he was that guy you know I'm saying so we made sure that deal happen to a format bad boy so now this deal did happen are you in that deal like nah you know me like I told you I build on the fly you're so rich you in Austin yeah your crib yeah yeah I don't like I don't like that he's going to conference movers you ready I'll do that I'll lock him down to where he can't move you don't let the [ __ ] go look at him and it's nothing it ain't not for me to pick up the phone and say you're French I need this I need that now and get it no I mean it's only empowered me but is it is there ever any move that you actually made and you regret it you know me like you mean as far as artists anything just like you did it as artists oh the wonder dog the one thing that I do regret though and I think I would have probably handled it differently what the minds of obviously with my said I had now but if I can still have that mindset hat then and make a better decision once that perk hypsi situation that's the one thing that I did we grind it on the grass no no don't toss that kid off the stage well that man anything it was no kid wait I forgot when I was a big concert and poquette's in New York and I was um performing a headlining and as I'm gonna middle the performance somebody threw something on stage at me and I caught it like right before he did not I looked and at that time I just felt disrespected like I was always when they come and disrespect I just don't know how to handle that like I just can't let nobody suspect me specially in front of 20,000 people so I was like you don't do that and the whole crowd like this point about it I was like yo get him up here and as he's coming up to the stage I'm trying to think okay what can I possibly do it isn't they're gonna let everybody know they're disrespectful and he actually is not brought him to me and in my mind I said okay cool I was gonna knock him out calm day but then when he came if you were to lock them up you just cover for me oh I just knock the mind just kept before me it would have been just as bad yeah but yeah I wouldn't care cuz I got I got it out right but then when he came they brought the side of stage he came I just started look on his face like the [ __ ] was happy to be up here like so I'm looking I'm like damn I isn't is actually a real fan like and he's happy to be here so in my mind maybe he was just doing that to get my attention don't roundhouse King no but so that made me not knock him out but I said he's still got a you know he still got a even if everybody out there I think they could do the same thing alright so I was like a punishment that wouldn't hurt but at the same time we'll give the word out that I ain't the one to be [ __ ] birthday so I said I got it I just so you wanna be you want you know those shield [ __ ] stay so that more after like I for not you throw some of me got though you right I just picked him up saw a soft spot and tossed him over there you know it was like cardi B's a little baby [ __ ] [Music] exactly right you like our to be a little bit new season isn't here see what would you have done different though you said that you would have done that differently what would you have done I would have just kept going on with the show like ain't even I ain't even see it no one know you know but then I'll stop the music I got mad dramatically you hold on stop let me stop you doing no black this is when he threw it this [ __ ] everybody saw it right like in my mind because I saw it everybody saw it there's a right thickness of my it brought my mind stayed then it was just different right no I'm saying it was just different ignorant that's the only thing we take back in life yeah that's it never throw that [ __ ] in the [ __ ] crowd again that's it I mean everything else I'm glad anything else even oh yeah we sorry being sorry that's
