business is small man let's word get around real fast so all the labels is lay up we won't do another meeting Tommy Boy included so when I went out there to talk to Tommy million yeah I played was lot of times when I go for the money play it's really not to play every single time it's when I go for the passion play yeah it always works out for me but when now when you're young you don't even this what I was you don't even have a full understanding of what your passion is it you know right I didn't had a foresight to be able to see the drink the Dre was starting the real movement he was starting something that she wanted to be a part of [ __ ] the music you know I'm saying like that his album in Marshalls album and then that chronic tour was a movement those are the biggest thing moving the big thing about it was the thing about it was you but I'm sorry to say this I don't want you to feel bad about your mistake but you actually yeah in aftermath you actually belong only part that bothers me when I look at that history is that I look and I'm like I know cuz to you I'm thinking like you off on my kid on the hood that's 750 thousand more yeah yeah then when I'm getting but have been I would have made the album that defined me at an early age that's one that's one benefit that I think I I missed out on you know but in looking at it in retrospect to no man is like if he just if he just would have told me like you know I don't think you should do that I wouldn't do I am yeah in either one of them right either one of home nobody around me made me feel like I was making a bad decision saying like this one point something is like it was just like all right would do you album over there I wish I was your friend back and I got that like I started to realize that going like it's a very competitive City and at that time getting a record deal was unheard of unheard of when I told my mom and my people in Detroit it when I saw the first artists from Detroit they got I put on um [ __ ] I gotta probably go back to like boss right keno oh yeah awesome Dre Oh boss was dope - yeah at that time it was like uh Shawn was like a big independent seller you know I mean but he didn't have a major record deal he was like he was a legend you know I'm saying but when Marshall got his deal it was like the first in years yeah I was like since like um what was it not Multani from Detroit yeah okay it's a competitive City man it's competitive City so I ran into a lot of problems so I watched a couple of interviews and um to do my research and the thing that nobody really um pointed out is your glasses game is happy Thank You Man you have own custom frames what heaven which is the name of your studio correct you are correct never seen ain't no mention to the skies glasses these are called diamond cut oh that's what it look like that [ __ ] all those just fly these are just flat I could have got my prescription in him I just didn't want wait for him oh okay when I saying them I had to wear him immediately because I knew that this style had just came out and I wanted to be the first one listen he said that was the first one with a mission is to make sure that that's different okay so now you and him hmm something happens where there's a fallout now for this brief moment was a heartbreaking for me because again I don't I've met you I met him but I don't really know you guys but I understand the relationship from you guys in the public's office mm-hmm you guys have this fallen out why wasn't this fall not even happy okay the biggest the biggest part of it was communication I would say lack thereof okay you know like we didn't get the opportunity to say to each other how we felt about the situation hmm there's so many people needed at the bar so many people kind of like instigating it and um saying what they could say to kind of like fuel it did it I think it turned it got a little bit easier for him to just not deal with it at all didn't to try to deal with it and please all of these people and on my end it was like I wasn't doing my part to keep it peaceful I was kind of feeling it too because at that time I felt like I was kind of like defending myself I was standing up for myself well our fans our fans is a little bit slow and I'm sorry they hate when I say they hate when I say that because no yeah so what we're saying is that when the problems occurred there was other people who came in who fueled your mind fueled his mind is that what the situation was between it was between me and his group his crew d12 alright it was proof act now what it not see this that's the thing to light a miscommunication yeah it kind of it kind of Darkness turned into meat me versus proof we kind of got perceived that way just because of how vocal he is how popular he is and how popular I was at the time within that situation it really stems back from an issue between me and bizarre that's market bizarre bizarre me and bizarre both went to the same high school he was real cool where he wasn't real Cooper he was he knew my big brother my Big Brother's age they didn't like each other you know I mean so you remember I told you nobody it's my first time actually like knowing and [ __ ] and we battle right we did that so years later I will see him at the hip-hop shop I see him out so he was cool when I start hanging with him everything changed with me and everybody knows it's like once everybody started getting deals everybody was so competitive instead of supportive that's why I always try to teach not teach but always try to like advocate unity within our community in Detroit with the younger artists because when we start getting deals we were the first batch of [ __ ] getting deals in Detroit in years so instead of us unify with each other we all just competed with each other yes I'm just I just so happen with this certain situation we would compete with each other too close under the same umbrella right and it put em in a put him in the position where he pretty much had to choose you know I'm saying so um it could have been it could have been rectified but nobody was taking those steps everybody was just standing their ground you know I mean so so once you do that and you don't [ __ ] with the communication everybody around is trying to fuel it they just make it worse and worse worse and worse and worse and worse so every time we seen each other got more and more weird you know I'm saying gigas was saying this about each other [ __ ] was saying that about each other and I can't blame nobody cuz I know I did my part and then next thing you know a diss record got made then I made it was my first day they dissed you first there was d12 diss you first they put out the first record oh but now and you and em didn't have no it was everybody else um never had a problem being mr. Porter never had a problem being proof never had a problem it was something between me and bizarre alright and then it just grew I just grew into something that it shouldn't have been you know I mean how did you fix it I think it was time you know I mean like a lot of time went by nobody speaking to each other then when we finally uh was it proof passive that was one of the things okay that was thought I didn't like him at one point but seeing him in that coffin it broke my heart so much and seeing them all in the front row right and seeing what the family went through and all of these helped marshal kind of because me and proof me and proof pieced it up way before he passed and he's like we went back on tour together and [ __ ] like that Toph was like one of the happiest guys I
