okay so now that you've actually seen me train hard do you now get it does it make sense it's not rocket science [Music] coach Craig and today I am going to be training and showing you exactly how I really truly do train okay a lot of people have been saying oh you don't make enough training videos well I'm gonna show you me in the gym training and I'm not gonna be training like a frickin [ __ ] I'm showing you how I literally train in real life not on a deal owed week not training with friends how I train when it's me training so if you were to like snap me and see a picture of me without me looking that is how I look on a hard set so it's gonna be very educational informative you're gonna learn how do you train hard this is more for advanced training so if you're a beginner you're not going to do the sets like I do if you're an intermediate maybe you do a little bit of it if you're advanced you absolutely are you're going to for sure and if you're not you're leaving gains at the table don't care what science blah blah blah says if you don't train freaking hard at some point you're leaving gains at the table not as a beginner beginners grow on anything as an intermediate you don't need to go to failure and beyond blah blah blah as an advanced lifter if you've Pete if you've hit a plateau if you hit the wall you need to keep training harder progressive overload watch this video watch it till the end at least watch until you see me doing the sets and stop commenting Oh Greg doesn't actually train hurt I watched him train with Brandon Hardy and he didn't train me boo hoo this is how I train is it stupid training no is it smart training yes it is very very difficult to train both hard and smart a lot of people can train hard a lot of people just cheat the reps and not do good form a lot of people gets trained smart and be like oh I'm gonna go slow and strict and eccentric slower than concern and do it proper but then stop early I've even had people send me videos Bragi look I trained hard I do partial sets watch this and they're doing like a bench press or whatever and then they they do parcels at the end I'm like you had five more reps before he even did the parcels what are you talking about wasn't hard and then they stopped the parcels before the even parcels got hard just because you're doing parcel reps doesn't mean you're training hard just because you do forest reps doesn't mean you're doing hard if you can do a set of 15 and at set 10 your partner starts lifting the weight up on the bench press it doesn't mean you train hard just cause you did parcels if you do a drop set and you're on the shoulder press and you're doing 200 pounds for 10 and at the 10th rep you stop but you had 10 reps left you lower it from 200 to 150 and you do ten more it doesn't mean you trained hard it means you did a drop set and didn't train hurt hard is to failure it doesn't mean easy it means to failure it has to be hard but you have to mentally keep your intelligence in this game in this set you have to always have mind muscle connection you have to keep in tune with what's happening don't just be like oh it's starting to get hurt and sloppy it up your form don't do that people want to know what training hard looks like this is gonna be a hard set one of my working sets it's good form it's not bad for them it's not like train like a crazy fool it's just how I train this is typically how I would train most of my sets look like this Oh [Music] alright so did you see my form go to [ __ ] no did it rain hard yeah am I gonna get injured doing that know that I bounced to weight off just to get the extra rep no that was beyond failure it was like twelve reps and two partials maybe so I would be like a really really hard set for me that was my third so I just did that three times the first set I got like fifteen reps did like a half a rep partial then I did 12 and I got three parcels there got twelve and got two partials 10% rule if I have to take off 10% of my weight and I can't get 12 then I'm done I still haven't lost 10% so I'm gonna do another set that's what I mean it's not rocket science one of the other things I do to increase intensity this is drop sets a lot of times when I get the failure instead of cheating and bouncing and doing all kinds of crazy stuff to try to go harder just drop the weight into a set so that's not gonna do on this back exercise right here really try to control the century go down hard gonna take your time letting go back up [Music] see it's okay I can't get all the way down in good form so I like to drop 20 to 30 percent of the weight repeat without any rest you can get a few good more few good more reps well that's it so that's like my six set of back so I'm about done here cuz I've I've lost about ten percent of my strength so I know I've really pushed myself hard enough so that'll be it for the pull downs move on to something else I'm doing chest triceps and back alternating so like I do my parts in the back then heart set a chest so this is another side chest I'm skipping most of my sets this is like me seven-card working set of chest so I'm almost done okay starting it tired this machine is so hard not much weight but it feels super heavy [Music] oh all right so how many of you think that sent wasn't hard just because I didn't swing the weight and scream and make a weird noise in a funny face it probably didn't make a funny face doesn't mean it wasn't hurt you don't have to change your form you don't have to look stupid doing a set you just keep pushing to the muscles can't push keep your form and tact keep doing it the right way don't look like an idiot and don't get injured training hard doesn't mean going crazy and getting injured you can train hard and smart and avoid injury at the same time so don't use I'm gonna get injured as an excuse notice my rep range it's not heavy the reps are high you're not gonna get hurt doing these high reps so rather than load up five plates aside go to a new gym and try to impress everyone with how much you can benchpress lighten the weight control the set and make it hard don't make it look stupid just make it look hard fun what's that okay so now that you've actually seen me train hard do you now get it does it make sense it's not rocket science you see me do a lat pulldown you're seeing me pull you see me do it and control and slow in good form and then you see the weight go down and then you go and more do more reps you're doing on the chest your push you might be grunty maybe making a face but you're not twisting and turning around and doing it looking like a nutjob it should look hard but it shouldn't look like you're wrestling the weight just keep pushing keep pushing eventually it won't go up you keep pushing if you stop three reps early and you're going like this and you just stop you didn't go hard you gave up early it's easy to be like yeah I went to failure couldn't do another rep but could you could you done another rep the question remains could you turn a rep how do you know you think if somebody had paid me a thousand dollars to go harder could I have what I have should I have okay one thousand dollars you're doing that rep and you you get three-quarters of the way up it's still moving and you're like yeah you feel the bird it's hard you have to mentally push yourself that's what separates what's the famous thing separates the men from the boys what separates the [ __ ] from the not so much [ __ ] that's how it is you're getting near the end and for $1,000 would you have done this or would you have said yeah that's failure for a thousand more dollars could you have locked that out if the answer is yes then just do it unless you're a beginner intermediate you don't need to go that hard but if you're already training really hard you're already the guy going 3/4 could you for another thousand dollars walk out and then yes then you're done okay now slowly wait and see if you can lower it under control cuz you're gonna be 30% stronger you century 30% Asya that's 30% that's a lot stronger than consider so if you can barely walk out that bench rest you most certainly can still control the weight so just cuz you know you don't drop the weight down you know it's a machine you don't your lap pull that and then no no you get it down and then okay let's yes that's an eccentric rep it's a negative a negative rep okay so work the negative work it so once you get to failure you can actually go beyond failure that's an intensity boosting technique don't listen to every single person on YouTube that just wants to sell you a program this is what people do this is what most YouTube people do they try to make training seem easier but then if you go easier and follow their program you'll get better results than working harder what do you think is going to sell more programs me saying you have to train really hard you have to want it bad you have to want it more than everyone else does that sound like it's gonna sell more programs than the guy that says men you only have to do 15 minutes of cardio a day and you get ripped with me men you get to eat whatever you want on my plan you only have to fast for breakfast and then you can eat whatever you want the rest of the day oh you can eat anything you want as long as you cut out carbs just follow my plan it's keto you need as much fat as you want I do videos on these people all the time these moronic coaches that say you can do this and that and as long as you don't eat fruit because there's fructose in it you can eat as much fat as you want because there's no way your body can store fat you just breathe it out breathe it up they literally say this Shelley Darlington did you see your stupid plan not enough of you watched my Shelley Darlington video that video is freaking amazing it's one of my best ones and people aren't watching it why probably because only five percent of my audience or viewers are women and women are like you know do enough the old yo dude up there millions and women why do you do it cuz 95% of people watch my stuff admit man go watch Shelley Darlington it's freakin hilarious I even laugh when I watch it healthy relationship with food everyone says it everyone states it people talk about it relationships are with people I do not date an apple I don't court a banana if you do science you don't either trainer don't listen to Greg Greg makes you train hard a lot that's that's work that's who wants to train hard oh let's go with Greg o Gallagher oh yeah he's fantastic let's skip breakfast but let's actually eat some for breakfast let's skip once but let's actually eat like what's that thing he was eating right let's see the crazy Rach crispy square yeah that's great then let's eat this huge meal which is half as big as my average meal and oh I'm Greg oh god I get to eat whatever on and look how ripped I am I'm 5% meanwhile he's 10 9 maybe and then I'm gonna eat this huge meal and then oh my friend came over so I'm gonna drink wine I'm Greg o Gallagher I mean you nice creamy hour before bed follow me I only charge $200 for a training plan yeah a thousand people get the same train man what is your training plan don't eat breakfast don't eat lunch eat whatever you want for supper and have an ice-cream bar before bed and if you want drink wine yeh that's the great diet and you don't have to train hard well yeah here's your $200 I love it I want to look like regular and hardly have to work out and eat once a day seems good as long as you get ice cream bro an ice cream bar before bed and I roast crispy square they make money on these diets I don't make this [ __ ] up this is literally the diet train harder it doesn't sell many magazines it doesn't sell many programs train harder is not fun you have to train and you have to want it you have to be willing to put in the work to get the results that you want you need to be able to put in the work you need to train hard and you need to want it bad how bad more bad or bad then everyone else I look like I do is it because of all the supplements I take no you're all gonna say it outright only looks like that because he's taking that testosterone stuff meanwhile everyone's like Greg you look so much bigger now what are you doing I'm like I'm on HRT I've done a hundred million 100 milligrams two shots in the last 17 days do the math people is that a lot and yet I look bigger than before I look better and I'm 44 it's not the supplements I'm not on all these things you think I think that I'm on and you you're gonna say oh but that's how you got your big physique look at my physique when I was natural and tell me again that I don't know how to Train natural I trained natural longer than 90 freaking eight percent of you watching this that's a lot of percent I have more natural training experience than 90 percent of you for sure name some people I have more training experience natural than Jeff Nippert Jeff nipper has been training natural his whole life in is still natural some of you don't believe it Jeff Nippert is natural I trained natural longer than Jeff nipper so as much as you think Jeff nipper is gathered from all his personal experience with trained natural I have all of that and then some and I know what it's like to train and hence so I can compare enhanced training what it feels like and what the recovery is like what the trainings like what everything feels like enhanced as well as compared it back to when I was natural like when Scott Herman wanted to debate me oh well let's see training how do you train natural versus in hint well I'll go and debate with him on natural versus what he'll do enhance really I can debate myself I was natural hi I'm natural Greg hi I'm enhance Greg hi how do you train I train harder how hard harder than last time same here shocker that's how he trained how do you train enhance now Greg how does it change well I'm stronger than I was really how much stronger oh like ten or fifteen ten or fifteen percent well that's pretty good some I'm gonna take that stuff and get strong Liebig like you how much did you gain all about 20 more pounds well that's not that much I thought I'd gain 50 well it sucks that's your genetics that's literally the debate how has it changed well I'm natural once I'm like you I'm gonna do 55 more sets no that's not what I do I do the same as before well why don't you do more well I do more because why not I do why don't you what am I even doing right now I don't do more because I just lift more weight the weights heavier now and I'm more enhanced so I can push even more harder how hard harder than last time it's so simple natural in hence when you get older whatever you're doing you just progressively overload and you go harder than you did well eventually you can't go any harder then what do you do guess what there's times every single year that you're gonna need to skip the gym ninety-nine point a percent past that is going to have to miss the gym at some point what the gyms closed it's a snowstorm the flight got delayed the flight got canceled I'm on vacation there's a Christmas dinner you just can't make it today I'm sick I got pneumonia I got cancer I got whiplash in a car accident I just my children are sick and I have to bring my kids to work I can't go to the gym today that's called a day off Wow shocker you're allowed to take a days off yeah even on my plan six days a week out of seven what when's your D load week D load weeks Sunday it's a day that's all you need what if you're you've been training hard for a month and it's just consistent and it's like yeah eventually guess what you're going down south on vacation you're going to Mexico and you're gonna take a deal load week cuz the gym sucks compared to what you're used to and strain a little bit less hard and you're gonna recover and you're good and then you can all of a sudden go harder again that's how it happens you get sick you get injuries gonna have oh but my kids we're told never gets injured because he doesn't go to failure it did my crazy child get in a bike accident and break his elbow that stuff happens in the real world people get injured it doesn't mean it's from weight lifting too hard you can get injured in a our accident you can get injured by bike riding and crashing you can get injured by slipping in the bathtub it stuff happens we break arms and so on how many people have been training I've been trained for 34 years and I've had three injuries in the gym oh it's cuz you trained too hard only three injuries in 34 years I trained 350 days a year times 34 years that's not a high percentage of injury I get more injured white waking up and coming out of bed than that I've slipped out of bed and hurt myself more often I have a training gym and hurt myself so to forget that you're going to eventually have times in the year when you have to take time off it might be to go witness the birth of your child your wife's pregnant you're delivering a baby you're getting married you're going to wedding you're gonna miss the gym then you take days off it's just gonna happen it's normal you go to the beach and you're like I'm just gonna take a day off I'm like training so hard I I need a day off you know when this happens you don't need some scientific mumbo-jumbo journal to tell you that when you're RP goes past this point for this many weeks a period of this and you can't gain strength after that and your recoveries you're after this and that no you're just like man I need a day off you take a day off holy I need a whole week off maybe take three days and see what happens I want to go to the gym I don't want to train hard go to the gym and relax get away from your nagging girlfriend as mad at you because you spilled some frickin 7up in the fridge that actually happened p'nay you go and relax do de-stress you don't have to train hard I train hard cuz I wanted to what did i do today I rode my bike 90 minutes afternoon shoulders biceps and calves that's what I did I I just like to train her I could have trained less heart if you don't have the motivation to train her then just don't but then the next workout how hard she train harder than last time it's not rocket science
