[81] Kwikset UltraMax "Exceeds Maximum Security" (Pick and Gut)

this is the lock-picking lawyer if you've watched my videos for long you know that I have a pet peeve for people calling normal locs high security well today we're going to go beyond that we're going to go beyond high security to a lock that exceeds maximum security today we look at an ultra security lock and I'm not kidding it actually says on this package seven times that it exceeds maximum security no exaggeration one two three four five six here we go it's kind of under the label it's hard to see but seven this is an ultra security lock and it's got ultra security features including what we're going to test today the anti pick ultra security feature I wish we could test the ultra strike kind of sounds like a Chuck Norris movie but this ultra max security lock represents let's see that it has a anti pick six pin system that should be able to keep us out well we are going to put that to the test today we are going to open this up put it in the vise and see just how long ultra max security should hold up I'd imagine this thing should hold up for a while because judging from this box this thing should be on the doors of Fort Knox or something got my I don't think I need my scissors okay here's our lock let's take him out and get the keys as well okay I've got everything I want out of this box let's get her in the vise and see how long it holds up to a packet tack works all right let's adjust our camera angle ah that's not quite as easy to adjust as I thought it would be okay there we go and here we go this should do the trick okay let's see what it means to exceed maximum security okay one's loose twos loose three is loose four is loose five is loose six okay not bad we actually dropped into a bit of a false set there okay counter rotation on one definitely a spool counter rotation on to another spool counter rotation on three and we're open okay so maximum security lasts about 20 seconds I don't even know what to say about that to its credit it's better than most quick sets but oh boy what a joke this is the kind of marketing this is the reason that the state of locks in residential households is so abysmal because people trust what they read on packages and frankly they shouldn't ok let's lock this back up come on get off of there wow that bends very easily okay has represented six pins okay I'll give you a close-up of this in a minute but these key pins are abysmal you should see the the bevels on the top of those makes for an absolutely huge shear line let's check out our driver pins one is a spool choose a spool three is a spool four is standard five is standard and six is standard okay let's take that give you a close-up of this this is what is inside of the lock that exceeds maximum security we've got some key pins that have such huge bevels on the top I guess it's designed so you can insert them either way but those bevels on the top absolutely compromise security we've got three spools and three standard pins I don't know what to say folks except these kinds of misrepresentations are are just beyond beyond what I can comment on this is the reason why the American consumers are so ill educate it because they believe this sort of hype they believe a package that says something exceeds maximum security seven times if you have any questions or comments please put them below if you like this video and would like to see more like it please subscribe and as always have a nice day thank you
