[Music] you ridiculously long but what I've decided to do is pour a second bowl over top so it'll be a double bowl and I also wanted it to go paler to towards the tip you know when I poured the two colors it was darker here and then the pale here but it really spread and ran and so I didn't get the look I wanted so I'm going to try again to get the paler tips and what I've decided to do this time is instead of pouring on that wide plate and letting it spread I want more drip edge and for it to get more drip edge it needs to be thicker to start with so what I've decided to do today is pour on a pie plate so let's get started okay back I've mixed up 1 in 1/3 cup of excuse me of resin this has one drop of aqua India ink in it one drop three drops that's almost 2 ounces and sand mixed with resin now I made a little extra of this and I'll show you why I got a new mold it's the alphabet and it's backwards alphabet because you're gonna pour your resin in here and pop it out and get letters and so yesterday with the leftovers they put it in here so you can see it better I made the letters of some people in my family just to try it out and these have made cute magnets or keyrings there can you see them lips are all sliding but so I used a bit of sand and a bit of resin and I ordered from Amazon some findings to make these into keyrings it's something to do with the leftover resin which there always seems to be some of so instead of wasting it I can turn that into something else that may be the story that eventually will carry this stuff would sell now I'm putting down some sand again because that sand will be covered by this Vaz and I or this bowl and I want to be able to see the sand on the bottom of the bowl so you'll be able to see that sand on the inside but I want some sand on the outside too and this will be the outside Bowl so I'm putting this down so that we'll see sand on the outside Bowl and as I'm doing this I'm thinking this pie plate is too small so I'm going to switch to a larger pie plate I'll be right back so I come back to this and this man kept being free too big I don't know but we'll we'll just go with this for now and see what happens so I'm just pulling this out in like a splash pattern okay all right I'm gonna leave this to set for 20 minutes maybe a little longer so I've got this set for 20 25 minutes which is also allowed this to thicken up a little bit so now I'm going to pour this over top very lightly swirl it around and it'll cover the sand right then I'm going to pour the lighter color on the outside and work my way in I think see how we do here this time I'm not doing the trip like last time I kind of did it in a start I'm not doing that this time I'm going to let the dripping take care of pulling it down in two lines instead of me trying to manipulate the resin to do that I'm just got a lot of drip on its own when it's hanging and while this quite thick because I want it to run all the way around quite a bit so I'm going to use pretty much all of this resin yesterday I had a bit left over that I use to make those alphabet letters but today I'm going to use it all so this obviously is a super simple pour because I'm not doing anything special I'm just pouring I'm not trying to make sea foam on the waves I'm not putting crystals all around the edge that I don't want to bleed in like none of that is happening so that makes this a lot easier of a pour a little bit into the clear or the lightly tinted it's not really clear it's quite lightly tinted I think this is going to work so much better all right and then we'll just um get the bubbles out a little bit I'd be careful not to burn the plastic well it certainly is a little harder in that regard then the cling wrap was all right so that's the extent of our pour you know I kind of can't believe I'm done but I'm done so we're just going to let this set up down for a few hours and then we'll be back to put it over the other Bowl okay so I've moved to the other side of the countertop here to make some room this is the first Bowl and it's quite set so now I'm going to put this plastic on top just to give a second layer and I'm going to take the layer that we just did and put it on here so we'll do that now the trickiest part to this for me is knowing how long to leave the resin you know three hours four hours five hours I don't know so this has been I think three hours because I want it to run quite a bit so I figured better more than less so that's what we're doing is three hours and then we'll see how this goes it's gonna be interesting without a doubt I'm excited again I'm always a little nervous that it works I don't know why because this is experimental sorry my bracelet got caught there um okay let's just not want him to sit straight okay there we go alright it's set leaving that to run that's just my timer telling me it's time to put it on here okay so we'll leave this overnight and it's actually quite early let me see no it's about 450 so yeah it's about four or five six seven eight four or five hours earlier than I normally would put it on so we may get to have a look at this tonight and see how it's doing but I won't be taking it off of here tonight I think it'll still be too soft so here's hoping it runs see you in a bit so I couldn't be happier with the way these have turned out I'm so excited I think they're just gorgeous just gorgeous and when you put them together I mean it's just stunning and this doesn't even do it justice on here really it's just beautiful in person this one turned out darker than this one because if you remember I used more light here and also the dark really ran into this one but I kind of like the effect of it now this cling this tablecloth was amazing it got really stuck in here it took me over an hour I think it felt like an hour to pull it all out but once I got it out none of it ripped and this is in perfect condition so I love using this plastic tablecloth it's the thing to use so I pulled some things out of my collection in my glass cabinet I did have the tiniest little starfish a pretty white shell at a tiny sea urchin I wanted more here than just the two pieces of shell I put in yesterday and I want it to look like a tide pool splash and in a tide pool there's always some sea life and so that's what I'm gonna put in the bottom now I've mixed up just a tiny bit of clear and I'm going to add one drop of turquoise to it or sorry aqua to it and oh wait a minute no it's turquoise I want to add I'm just going to check that yeah it's turquoise I need so I'm just going to add one drop of turquoise to it it's weird that it doesn't want to mix in an experience that before just going to give it an extra stir because I feel like I'm feeling like it's not mixing in because I mix this in this small container maybe the hardener and the resin mix in properly I don't know this does not look like the right color the wrong color hmm it's poor doctor here I want to see what happens oh it's fine I'm gonna be using so little of it that you'll never know okay go back to the houses so I'm going to pour a little bit in the bottom of the big one just a tiny bit see that that looks like when it spreads around that's fine and I'm gonna put this back in and I was careful when I took it out to make sure that I kept it the way that it should be the way that it was molded to it at least I think I did all right push that in okay they're gonna pour it but I could have made a quarter of this I'm gonna pour a little bit in the bottom here tip it so that it spreads around let's go right around bottom okay then I'm gonna place my little Ramon [Music] once you get them in there you can move them around a little you want them [Music] weren't you okay just show you what I've done here [Music] alright now I'm going to pour a little bit more of this very carefully over them to cover them up [Music] I actually don't mind if the don't mind if the shell sticks out of the water a little bit because I want to give the illusion that the water is okay [Music] you know I might just cover them right up because I'm thinking somebody wants to put a candle in here then so let's put a candle in there then it needs to be flat on the bottom put it all in because I didn't make too much after all [Music] you just push to the bar I feel like it is too dark and I should've just put clear in here [Music] now wait till that that comes up a bit and push them down because right now they're wanting to float you can see those doing here I'm sorry that I don't have an overhead camera okay let me show you what that looks like [Music] resident I have on my hands all right there we go so I'm let that set which is going to be a while because it's thick and then it's done [Music] if you enjoyed this video and learned anything from it at all please like and subscribe it really helps me thank you [Music]
