7 Class C motorhomes under 25 ft | Finding a Class C for Grandma | 2021 Florida RV SuperShow

so we've made the decision that we're not gonna let grandma get a travel trailer no i'd like to have something that's contained with the vehicle and while a class b would be awesome they're a hundred thousand dollars i think that's way too much money so we're gonna look at five class cs that may be a good fit for this lovely retired 71 year old [Music] woman [Music] hey i'm rachel and i'm joe and we are two crazy campers after losing a combined weight of more than 200 pounds we realized we had so much more energy for activity come along with us as we explore that great outdoor and join us on a brand new adventure so we got into rv we took rachel's mom on one trip and we were in a pop-up camper and she got hooked but here's the issue we have a couple's camper and everybody needs their space absolutely so grandma has made a decision she wants to go camping sometimes without us she's a very independent woman and here's the thing i i'm concerned about her safety i want her to be able to get behind the wheel if there was some kind of an issue and she's alone and she can just kind of jump behind the wheel and get out and not have to leave her rv or leave her tent and go find the car keys and all that stuff exactly so we're going to take a look at some five class c small class c yeah but we're going to go over to matt's rv reviews and we're going to ask matt to give us a recommendation for a few to take a look at because we totally trust him good morning how you guys doing we're doing good so we have been on a quest to find something for rachel's mom okay so we're down to a class c perfect we're looking for a small classy 71 year old woman could handle on her own okay uh and do you want slide outs or no slide outs probably no slide outs so we're simple thor quantum sc 22 sc it's an sc22 okay do you have four other ones that we can go look at yes uh the uh coachman crosstrek xg22 is pretty interesting okay the coachman freelander which it's not at general it's at grazenies okay um it's uh xg22 and all right um what about this newmar that's back here i mean it does have a little slide it does have one slide the nexus yeah okay so the next is with the slide out uh the best one is going to be this one here it's the triumph 24t with full body paint okay mats are re-reviews when you need something you've got to call in how are we going to call you three zero one nine zero six zero nine six two that's my personal cell phone they can call they can text they can email they can facetime hey if you need a camper you've got to call matt matt's hold us ours he's going to stand behind everything he's going to find you the best deal in america so you heard it from matt he gave us five that we need to look at so we're gonna start off with one that's parked right next to his you know little booth very convenient and that is gonna be the nexus triumph 24t now taking a look at this one here it does sleep five people it does have a slide out we're probably not looking for a slide but we're gonna take a look at it anyway because it's got a show price of just 69 995 with an msrp of 104 967. so let's take a look i am very excited about this now again sometimes the sticker price will scare you a little bit because like yesterday we could find something for 20 000 but remember the vehicle is included right okay so let's step up inside and take a look at this and this is why a slide is so popular look at this room okay so we'll start off right here on the slide so we have a nice slide it does have a little dinette that's gonna drop down into a bed i love the cup holders on the dinette table we almost need to add that to our five things we have to put in the seriously why have we not thought of this okay so let's look underneath here there is it looks like some storage underneath there it's got a little thing that can lift up up here on top i like the light me too we do have a little bit of storage up here okay moving on down let's see what do we have here looks like you got a lot of nice storage put all your wow wow so you have a big hanging wardrobe area and i like that there's a light in here look at that that's awesome and there's one on this side too it looks like though we do have to we do have to say oh okay it's just not seated all the way because i'm like this shelf isn't level but it's just not seated all the way some drawers nice drawers four drawers oh wait two more drawers down there on the bottom too oh yeah and i really love this space yeah that's really nice perfect for like a side table bed you could put your cpap here is there any place to plug in though um maybe around the corner no but if we go up on the inside there is a little area right here you have a nice window here you do have a little shelf here yeah i am not seeing an outlet anywhere in here now it's funny because this is an east-west bed which we normally don't like however you can walk around the bed so because you can walk around the bed i'm okay with the east west the reason we don't normally like east west is because somebody has to climb over the other person as you can see we can kind of walk around so i'm okay with this setup now me too now up on top of the bed we do have three more little cabinets so that is really perfect we've got a porcelain toilet with great arm room okay so here's my question though you have good arm room but what about your front legs i mean you look like you're close to the wall you i'm gonna come into the bathroom with you honey and we're gonna close the door because pocket doors are awesome yeah so do you have enough room i do i can imagine that my mom who's a little bit shorter than me may be like i'm gonna have to like you have a built-in squatty potty basically so here's what i'm thinking i like the toilet um i'm a little concerned about the knee thing but i like the fact that it is up i'm assuming that that's the wheels that it's mounted on top of or something down there it's on that little platform but if you put your arms out what that is doing by raising it up it's giving you more arm room i really like that let's take a look at the shower you don't have your balloon head on so we really can't measure no i mean that is a lot of room how will you know though if a balloon hat will fit i'm just i'm guessing it will you've got over a foot on top of your head and you are five foot seven so and a half and a half so you've got a lot of room in there so if you're a six three six four no problem okay so i like this shower curtain i know you don't like the shower curtains do not like this type of shower however here's the thing so what this is is this is a traditional shower curtain but i like it on the track because now you don't have to worry about it flapping out or anything like this it's a very simple shower it's heavy duty so i do like that a little bit of silicone it'll glide easy i probably would even prefer that over the one that we have just because you have less things to worry about this is just something up on rollers and i like the top bowing out a little bit to just not be bumping on your arms so much so here's the thing this is a trailer that we're looking for an rv that we're looking for for my mom who is super careful with everything she's very gentle we i still have my barbie pillowcases from when i was a little kid because she's perfectly taken care of everything so she would be fine with this because she's going to be ginger with whatever she has but if you have like kids little kids i could totally see them snagging this every single time i still think it's better than one that we have in the grand design taking a look at that shower head i love that the shower head is on the up and down arm yes perfect for somebody who may you know be a little bit shorter knead it lower and you don't have just this thing hanging up on top so i and i like how high it gets like the one in our rig is much lower so i really like that i also like it mounted in the corner versus center like ours is coming along here we do have a little cabinet here we do have a vent fan up here the only thing i'm gonna say is i really wish they'd put the larger vent fans instead of this little tiny fan so we do have a nice little medicine cabinet perfect to put all of your medicines your deodorant maybe your soaps things like that and then rounding out the bathroom we have our sink i like the little tile backsplash and decent amount of counter space for a small bathroom it is amazing honestly i have seen more counter space in here in the bathroom than some of the travel trailers then we do have down on the bottom nice little bit of storage underneath and some small little drawers we have our kitchen here and i like this i like the stainless steel refrigerator i like the little latch and this is gonna be a 12 volt yeah it's gonna be a 12 volt not frost free obviously but i like the 12 volts over the two ways just because they're going to get colder much faster that is a lot of room that is a lot of room in an rv fridge so we have over here a dometic let's see is this a three burner stove and no oven but that's okay because now you got all this extra storage but no oven is normally going to mean we've got is this a convection oven and uh it doesn't i don't think it's a convection oven i'm not seeing the big fan in there but it is giant it is a big microwave over here we have a little bit of power some usbs we've got our sink on the little uh slinky i like that a little bit more storage down here really nice unit okay so right out of the gate match recommendations i'm really in love with this triumph i hate to say this i love you mom but forget mom i want this myself okay so that's only one though we've got four other ones to look at and there's also one that matt didn't mention and that was another nexus that we took a look at quickly yesterday but it didn't have the big overhang on the top we definitely want to go look at that one as well right let's go find some more okay so we're over here at one of the general uh booths and we found one of the ones that matt has recommended it's the crosstrek xg built on the ford e350 chassis and before we head inside i completely forgot we didn't do it what would mom like not like about that nexus so what do you think she's gonna like about it i think she is going to love the bathroom and actually love the room that the slide provides yeah i think i think both of those are really good i mean i was really impressed by that bathroom and then also that slide gave so much room so if you have to pick one thing that she's not gonna like about it what do you think i think the slide may be something she doesn't like about it because it does add some width and now you have to be even more of an expert of you know getting into your campsite and you're gonna have to realize how far away you can park from like all the hookups and everything exactly let's take a look on the inside of this one stepping right up it does have the little area over the cab so grandkids can go up there yep you just put this in place and i do like the little vent over there there's no fan up there it's just a little vent so we have a tv up here and uh tv looks to be in pretty good positioning from the dinette area yes so i really do like that the only thing that i worry about is maybe bumping it if you leave it like this and you can just move it back a little bit like that and i think you're good you can maybe pull it back a little bit yeah now i also like there is a curtain up there for privacy for the grandkids or something maybe you know maybe they want privacy even grandma even though grandma may not want to give them privacy well they can make it feel like a fort yeah so let's take a look at these cabinets over the dinette this is very nice uh i have a complaint about this though uh-oh what there's no struts oh i mean this needs struts why are there no struts on this yeah okay continuing on the dinette um i'm not sure if this is going to drop down into a bed it might because there is a little like piece there for the table to rest on so not quite sure there i wish it could swivel yeah that would be nice is there storage under here i do like the seat belts that means that you can have passengers back there and uh there is some storage or no storage yeah there's storage there is some storage under there so that is really good okay so swing around to the other side of the dinette we have our kitchen we have some cabinets up here really nice i like there's a little bit of counter space where somebody's got their coke double sink you love your double sinks that is a nice size sink maybe even too big because you're losing a lot of counter space with that sink and you know how much of a sink do you need if you're just like going away for a weekend or something like that so here's the thing about my mom she loves real dishes and she loves washing them so i know she will want the split sink because soapy water and rinse water but she also loves counter space and where your hand is that's it there's no other counter space we do have a cabinet with a couple of that's interesting the way the drawers are behind the cabinet and i feel like i would much rather have the drawers as individual drawers then we do have a little bit of storage here underneath our sink actually a lot of storage and there's our low point drain okay moving over here we do have a three burner stove and a useless oven actually this oven is better than ours you can fit a small casserole dish in there they don't know how my mom cooks that's true and then right below that we have a little bit of a storage drawer small magic chef microwave and we do have a vent fan so that's really nice and then a little bit of storage up here coming in towards the bedroom nice big wardrobe closet that that's a nice size closet and then a nice drawer there too that's really nice we'll save the bathroom for last okay so we've got our refrigerator here if you get hungry in the middle of the night no problem okay so we got let's see 12-volt fridge that's really nice i like the 12-volt fridges may even be a residential fridge i can't really tell got a drawer underneath the fridge now coming into the bedroom so it's got this little cutout for our door and this is one of those beds that lifts up so you know if you've got maybe like one of those little like go machines a small golf cart there is a little bit of storage down there and then you can just fold it down again here's my thing though you um have no ability to walk around the bed at all and also i don't understand how once you make the bed and you have all of your pillows and blankets it sounds great that you could just lift this up and put it away but where do those things go during the day when you have the bed up yeah that's one of the issues with the murphy but as you're talking about making the bed though what i'm thinking is how are you going to make the bed you're going to have to like you can't walk around it and because of the cut of this you're going to need a special sheet and you're going to need a special mattress if you ever want to replace the mattress now we do have up there a little bit of storage over the bed so that's really nice and there is again a vent over the bed but no fan i don't understand why we're not putting a fan up there so here you can charge your phone but where are you gonna put it no cpap machine no place to put your phone hang it down i do like the door opening there in the back though do you i don't think that she would feel super comfortable with like this close to a door with her bed okay let's take a look at the bathroom starting right out i don't like this no i mean now we've seen worse i still don't like it i mean i'm not a big guy i used to be a big guy but i'm not a big guy i mean i weigh 195 pounds and i mean i'm gonna have to like scoot it in i mean and thankfully mom does keto too and she's lost a ton of weight but still like this is like who wants to scoot into a bathroom like this sideways okay so plastic toilet i'm not a big fan of that one okay let's see hey honey yeah are you to be okay or you think mom would be okay if i poop with the door open oh my god hey look close the door you can't my elbow's in the way and again i can't this is why i like the sliding doors versus an actual door i mean it's great to say you have a door but look at the problems it causes okay let's take a look at the shower okay there is definitely some room in the shower nice i've got room i'm six foot i've got at least i don't know three four inches before i even enter into the skylight um we've got a little shower head i don't know i'm really loving that last bathroom me too uh no counter space really in here in the bathroom i like the mirror you do have a nice mirror a little bit of storage down here a little bit of storage over here small vent before we go any further let's talk about the price the show price here is nine ninety 56 comparable to the last one we just saw i mean we're in the same neighborhood and the msrp was ninety seven thousand seven hundred and ninety seven okay so right off the bat i'm gonna tell you i don't like this one me neither i'm glad it doesn't have a slide that's one thing that she doesn't have to worry about but i feel like the quality was nowhere near the other one that we just saw so i know we said one positive one negative like you said quality no struts on the cabinet doors i don't like that i don't like the bathroom and i'm not a big fan of the whole like odd size bed that means special sheets special mattresses all that stuff not a big fan but can you find a pro in this one we need a pro definitely no slide okay that sounds fair it's a big one so i don't want to abandon coachman just yet and i see one right behind us that matt didn't recommend this might be a little bit better because here's the thing when you're driving some of these class season you have that overhang for the sleeper area that is a little bit of a blind spot it could be unnerving for some people and right here they have a crosstrek this is built on the transit body but look you don't have that big overhang up there like a u-haul like what do they call it and you hauled like the grandma's attic or something like that exactly this one is much more like a van if you've ever driven a van before so we may be able to sneak into this that sort of reminds me of a class b but be a class c right and just looking right up there in the front this one's got an msrp of 105 998 and it's 67 995. so let's go ahead and take a look at the inside of the 20xg i'm not going to lie it's small this is closer to a class b but i feel like it's going to have everything so let's take a look around so immediately coming in you're going to walk right into the dinette which is already down in the bed position so right over that we do have a couple of cabinets right here what it's actually one big long cabinet and it's just got four doors so i really like that so you can put some nice long things in there great tv position great tv position so uh you have basic seats but that's okay this is a van this isn't like a luxurious thing i like the little cubby holes up on each side here so over on the other side of the dinette so obviously more into almost like a class b we have a dometic refrigerator now this is a two-way running on gas so it's got a little tiny freezer section i can tell you right now she would love the position of this counter space because you could like prep your you know meat and vegetables like right up here this is kind of nice and then put it right into your magic chef microwave yeah i like the little placement of the microwave moving along let's see so we do have some cabinets here once again no struts now here's the thing i'm not gonna let those struts be a deal breaker okay because they're like five bucks in home depot and anybody who can operate a screwdriver can install them maybe it would be nice to have them but it's not a deal breaker okay so looking down below let's see so now this is to me a little bit better i know you liked that double sink on the other cross track but at least here i have a little bit of counter space you got a two burner stove because let's face it how many times do you need three burners and a little rv and i feel like that sink is big enough and then you can even have like a little dish drying rack or something here if you need it to so a little bit of cabinet there and then again i don't understand this i just don't understand it i don't like the quality of these drawers either although it does look like they are solid wood over on the other side nice little pantry here at least it's not gonna open no okay so let's take a look at the bed because this is an interesting setup so there's a little switch here for the bed and look at this you can raise the bed up what is that for because look at this down here she could bring her bicycle she could bring a golf cart it's almost like it's a little mini toy hauler so she can bring everything there is some straps there's also a nice big opening on the other side then when she gets where she wants to be take everything out press the button oh nice and now the bed is going to come down and it's on straps and everything so i really like this we're going to go ahead and lower this all the way down i don't know if we're supposed to but i gotta see how comfortable this is okay so here's our bed now this i i'd say this is like a double double bed it's not a queen it's not a full it's like a double you could definitely fit two people in here uh i really like it only one little issue it's an east-west bed that's not a walk-around but let me have that camera i do like this so you've got a lot of windows you have a window there you have a window there you have your hatch over here and you have a hatch over here plus you have up on top of vent fan but i'm going to tell you right now look what i'm looking at take a look at this where's the finishing touches i don't like that at all and it's on both sides [Music] like maybe this unit was just built i feel like there's something missing there like is there supposed to be a molding or something you're on one half of the bathroom i am the shower part and yeah it's got with the dome you've got plenty of room it's kind of odd though to be like the showers next to your bed i mean you'll stay clean now this does have the shower curtain that you actually like yeah but that's awfully close to my bed i i don't know and i hope no moisture gets onto your bed okay so let's go ahead i'm gonna get out and let you go take a look at that at the potty so since i'm already in the shower it's gonna make it easier to to use this door but if you're getting out of your bed you're probably gonna have to walk down that hallway in order to open the door because i don't like doors in order to get into the bathroom and again this looks like something i did that is i do not like that quality not not great quality at all plastic toilets and yeah this is this is disheartening ugh you got a little bit of storage right here no counter space whatsoever pantry nice big closet i guess that's supposed to be your armoire but i don't know if i want to have to get all my clothes in the toilet and a little cabinet up over top of you by the way if anybody's curious what that noise is camping world's still trolling the show on day five okay i was really encouraged when i first saw this and i'm gonna tell you taking a look at the inside two things i don't like i don't like the east west bed that you can't walk around like if you're gonna put a bed that i can't walk around it's gotta be north south okay um or you know front back whatever you wanna call it and uh i don't know just the quality of everything the little finishing touches they're just not there for me the bathroom was super disappointing but i will say the one thing that i think she would absolutely love is the fact that you have that bed on the motor so she can make her bed and then just raise it up go where she's much better than the murphy bed you don't have to change it out every single morning if we're looking for the toy hauler this would be good but the finishing touches i've got one positive and that's the size yeah i really like the size of this one it probably is close to a claspy as we can get without a class b price tag okay so this one isn't on matt's list but i want to take a look at it because it's a jayco and i think jayco makes a good product they really do they also stand behind their product and they have a little bit better warranty than some of the other companies like coachmen uh so this is the jayco red hawk 22. let's take a look at the inside while we're here okay so starting right over here in the dinette now we do have a slide and i know we said no slides but you get so much room when you add this little bit of a slide in it there's a cup holder back here i like that how cute is that i like the cushions they look different they look comfortable i don't know how comfortable they are very nice and you've got um some outlets down here and also some usb which is really nice and uh those they kind of like they're not vinyl but they are vinyl so they look like they're gonna be easily washable just wipe them down big window i like that and that is gonna become a bed um i'm curious is there any storage underneath there so i do see seat belts and yep there is a little bit of storage underneath there we got some cabinets right here we've got a convection microwave very nice very nice we got a convection microwave we do have a two burner stove and obviously no oven because we have the convection but that gives us more storage much rather have the convection so we have three drawers right there which is already your favorite yeah and then we have a cabinet right there under the sink and here you go rachel no cabinet space and we're gonna say no counter space though i will say that there is no counter space you're gonna have to keep this down when you're not cooking you do have a really big double scent she will love that okay so coming along here to the refrigerator so it is a two-way gas electric freezer a little nice amount of room in there especially for just like one or two people definitely gonna get you by the weekend okay so coming over here on the other side built right into this slide you've got a mirror i love it that is a nice length mirror yes i can actually see if my fly is zipped okay so obviously that is a nice amount of storage room in there very deep and then we have three big drawers and one more down there that's very big one i saw a price thing in here what does this say 92 468 so we're gonna go look for the show price when we head on the outside okay so coming over here we have a little bit of a medicine cabinet do have this this i'm assuming is our bathroom sink and then we have a little bit of storage underneath there where though are you going to put your stuff and get dressed in the morning in a drawer we need a table or we need more counter space okay let's take a look at the bathroom wow that's pretty impressive so go ahead that's pretty nice it looks like you have some room i do there's good elbow room of course if we didn't have this we'd probably have even more but it's not bad that's all poor placement for the toilet paper i know because it's gonna you're gonna hit that like it needs to be lower or something yeah i don't like that placement yeah that's that needs to move but plastic or porcelain plastic okay let's take a look at the shower that's a lot of room and you know what that's for right what hang up your clothes to dry oh i thought it was for monkeying around in the shower nice okay so not a bad bathroom and then coming along here here's our bed and uh lots of cabinet space and once again i like the fact that it's on some struts and uh we got a couple of lights now this is a nice placement of the bed i like that if you're gonna have one of these weird shaped beds i think it's gonna be a pain in the butt talks to get the sheets on it but it's what i said it's a north-south bed that you can't walk around but you're not climbing over each other to get out so i could deal with this bed me too now it does it is let me see a little bit of a weird shape it's rounded but it's also it feels like it's a much thicker mattress it really is i think it's a memory foam mattress yeah so you can even just go get another memory foam put it on top and then just cut it and they've got outlets here outlets over there you've got nice lights so you're going to be much more comfortable if you have a cpap machine i'm sure you can just set it right on the bed and this is nice so the redhawk sc 22a regular price ninety four thousand three eighty seven show price sixty four thousand nine ninety five it does have a one piece front cap and power led awning um what do you think i like it uh do you have any negatives definitely my negative is going to be the lack of counter space i mean even with the slide you've got a really nice dinette but that's pretty much it for table space yeah there definitely isn't much table space in there um i don't know there's a lot of pros to this i like the stabilitrak that's going to make it a little bit easier for her to drive yep and uh i like having the generator in there oh me too so continuing on our quest to find the perfect classy for grandma and using matt from matt rv reviews list we're gonna take a look at the quantum sc 22. as soon as we walk up that is a lot of room for having a bed up there for the grandkids i love that we do have a nice tv over here that swivels back cupholders in the back corner this is really nice i love the amount of room they have up here for that taking a look up we've got some upgraded seats here we have some leather seats much nicer seats i love that that looks really good okay coming over here here's our dinette section i again i love the cup holders in the table so as you're driving down the road you can have the grandkids strapped in here with their seat belts and no issues like that this is obviously going to drop down into a bed again like i know it's it's a little thing that's detailed but i love the strut and just look at these are good quality quality you know cabinet doors beautiful color we have a little bit of storage over here we have some storage up there looks like here's our microwave we've got a little door here and oh look at this we've got a convection microwave down here we have a three burner stove and again because you have a convection you have a drawer here and i like the fact that look at this it all just matches even though it's drawers it looks like an oven it's the details that matter to me like having this cutting board to give me extra counter space so i like that so these ones that had the very small amount of counter space at least when you have this yeah you've got the counter space but you've got a decent sink in here do i see a price and uh so we're looking here the quantum sc 22 we've got an msrp of 96 609 with a show price of 58 995. moving along down here so we got a little thing to put some of your sponges and stuff got some drawers very nice drawers and now let's take a look we've got over here got a two-way refrigerator this is a dometic nice freezer up we got a garbage can and then we have this little storage area there i like that oh rachel look what we got mirror nice oh wow that is a nice size armoire i like that and then we've got a little bit of storage drawer here okay so look at the amount of storage over the bed i really like that got a 12 volt up here nice storage nice storage we have a light switch here i like the fact that everything is controlled right here at your bed and uh let's see now again now this is one of those weird shaped mattresses and this does not look like it's going to be a really thick memory foam no so you're going to have to get a memory foam topper but easy you can just cut that absolutely just remember when you need to do sheets it may be a little weird but again north south but at least you don't have to climb over somebody so i like that did you say there's plugs because i don't see anything yes there there's uh some 12 volts up here but i don't see any next to the bed fortunately fortunately grandma doesn't sleep with a cpap machine since she does keto thank you lord okay so moving into the bathroom looking i kind of like that toilet placement how is it porcelain wow see the little differences so that definitely looks like you're good and again good placement there on the toilet paper i like that this is a huge shower as far as like you could be six foot plenty tall okay oh and she's gonna like the shower curtain because it's something she's used to okay so but here's the thing yes it's got the shower curtain you like and you can take that off and throw in the wash but once again if you go ahead and close that shower putting back up here's the issue what happens if you kick your shower curtain out and now you've got water going all over the floor because that's not a very deep shower pan very very good point there is a benefit to having attached shower lines but like we always say there's a give something take something look at that i like that give me your positive on this one there are so many quality details in this rig like i feel good that this thing is not going to fall apart when you start driving it and using it because there is just really quality products being used no slide i really like the no slide yeah okay i've got probably the biggest con is going to be the bed it's it's not a super thick mattress it's not that upgraded mattress and it's a weird size so it's gonna be a little bit more difficult to upgrade on your own and even if you can they're gonna like really hit you on the price it's not like you know we can go to costco and buy a 15 inch memory foam mattress because we have a standard queen this is an odd size so that could be a drawback on this rig so we're looking for the last one that matt told us to find which was the coachman freelander xg22 unfortunately we found out they don't have it here at the show they couldn't get it produced in time so instead we're gonna take a look at the closest thing it's gonna be the freelander 21qb let's take a look at inside i like the grandma's attic whatever you want to call it nice and spacious we do have the tv on the arm great big dinette now again this does not have a slime that's a plus so that is definitely a plus you have a nice dinette here and uh that does turn into a bed over the top we have some storage here and okay so this is a coachman but it's the first coachman that we've seen that has struts but these are like friction structs they're not like gas struts but they're struts so i'll take it coming over here in the kitchen i do see they have a price tag with the msrp 90 042 i don't see a sign for the show price but i have a feeling we're right in the same market okay got a cabinet so nice amount of storage there i like the little shelf on the back so that you can have stuff top and bottom but i don't know how accessible this is gonna be for her who's shorter than i am okay got a microwave a magic chef no convection is that convection i don't think it is no it's not okay three burner stove then you have some nice deep drawers cabinet down there little sink but again now we're back to there's no cover for the sink little cubby hole here hdmi and some usb i'm going to tell you right now she's not going to love this step up because i don't like that step-by-step because you're going to forget and you're going to trip i'm worried about her tripping on that one so we've got a 12-volt fridge and then behind us over here we've got some cabinets oh i don't like that and those are magnets why are those so it doesn't have a mattress topper but why are those i don't like that at all and then look at that when you open that door look at that that is gonna break and that's just a magnet holding it in way to scare grandma so got a drawer down there another drawer on the bottom let's check out the bed we got a little bit of storage overhead oh i do like having the plug-ins here and there's some plugs over on the other side as well and in that corner so three three plugs so lots lots of outlets back here and then we have yeah there okay so let's see ah middle of the road mattress but it did have a mattress topper i don't know if that's coming with it let's take a look at the bathroom oh i don't like that i mean this isn't as bad as that one but it's still like i've got a scooter i am wearing a backpack but not a big fan so here's the thing the toilet if you can see is angled this way and i got my sink here so for me to sit down on plastic i gotta sit like this and then i've gotta scoot my butt on a plastic toilet and now my knee if my whole leg is here and here is my toilet paper so like how am i grabbing the toilet paper because i i don't want to go poop here i need a diaper because there's no way like i feel like the toilet's about to fall apart and i only weigh 195 pounds like this the whole toilet is shaking that's a definite no okay it's a shower um my head is in the skylight area and i'm six foot so it's definitely not going to be good for somebody who's tall and again i know you don't like this rachel but i think that this is the best of both worlds i think it's more secure than the one that we have in our rig but it's not like you don't have to worry about that shower curtain you're not going to kick this out and you have a lip holding any water in so we got one more we want to look at that's not on matt's list back over at the nexus but i'm going to say this after looking at all of these i'm eliminating coachmen yeah i'm just not happy with any of the quality that i've seen in any coachmen we've looked at like the doors are kind of flimsy they don't have struts the finishing touches the room is nice very nice i mean they've got it down as far as space right the space is great even with no slide the space is great it's awesome the layout is awesome except for this bathroom this bathroom is a no-go if if this was like gold-plated everything i'm saying no because of the bathroom yeah in the step-up and the step-up but the quality of just the little things like i don't even need leather seats for her to sit on but i want a cabin a door that every time she pulls it isn't about to come off of the hinges i figure that cabinet door is going to last three trips even with grandma and it it's falling apart so let's head back over we have one more i want to look at one more nexus that doesn't have like the big grandma's attic area so we've we've looked at a bunch of class cs for grandma yeah we've narrowed it down to either a nexus or a thor yeah i'm just not happy with the quality on the coachman yeah so we've hit everything that matt gave us on the list but there's one more we're gonna look at now this one is a little bit on the pricey side very pricey but i'm really excited about this so this is going to be the nexus viper 25v and the big difference between this first of all look at the price we got an msrp of 128 247 with a show price of 89 995. what makes this one different you don't have that big grandma's attic hanging over the front and for me that could be a driving factor for her because it's going to make it a little bit easier to drive because you don't have this big thing in front of you yeah so let's go ahead and take a look at the inside of this one so your dining area is in a slide and it's just amazing you have your cup holders i love that so much these i mean this is like i don't know what this material is it's almost like a leather it may even be leather she's not going to want to go back in her house so then we have some storage up here and look at this see look at the quality of these struts this is so nice look at this look at the storage you got storage up there no place for the kids to sleep you might want to be kind of careful here but you know that's it that's true and we have look at the size of the television but you can access it like with either door so you probably never even need to use that yeah i would just probably maybe screw that or glue that shot looking right over you you do have a nice big vent fan and i'm looking at you have your ac ducts which that's amazing it's ducted ac and you can close them i wish i could do that in our travel trailer also looking up in the front right over the door it does have asdale siding so that's really cool and then even the door has a screen on it so she can have the screen open so now we got our kitchen i like the sink and i have a feeling there's a drop in piece that just isn't here because of the way this is cut right so we got a little bit of storage up there with an adjustable shelf we have our microwave here and i'm looking i don't see a fan in there so i don't think that is a convection it might be but i don't think it is oh yes it is it is a convection okay now i'm happy so we do have a three burner stove a little bit of storage here don't need that useless oven i love the tile backsplash and look how high up they went with it yeah so let's get into the refrigerator here 12-volt fridge i love that nice coming on this side i wish there wasn't a little waiver okay but that you can adjust that you spread these open just a little bit or tighten this up and it won't like grab so much so you can that's easy to be fixed it's not like that one that we had with the magnets and again i love this that's just that little extra touch that they have here on the nexus drawers down there drawer on the bottom and again i love this on the side of your bed so that you can you know just set things there this is an east-west bed but it's an actual mattress it's an actual mattress and it's it's sort of a walk around so if you can get my knees so i can get around it's not much room it's only about that much room i mean here's your for your bed over there but what i like about this is when she goes to make the bed she can get herself all the way around the bed because it's your mom and grandma is gonna make the bed yes she is right now let me know down in the comment section here's my question do you make the bed when you get out or do you just say hey i'm gonna be back in it in a few hours because me personally i don't need the bed mate but rachel every time that bed's got to get made every time we get out every morning okay so continuing along with the bed is it comfortable it's very comfortable and you've got this nice little side that's good for your phone yeah and then you have a little one behind you to put a cpap machine oh okay but no plugs i don't see plugs maybe i i can't discount maybe there's a plug down below i find it hard to believe there's no plug yeah sliding door which i love don't try to give me a door that opens out i don't want it okay nice counter space and you got the squatty potty option and i like but i feel like you have a little bit more room on this one yeah you do what about the shower very nice let's see do i oh well there you go so there's something we have not yet seen on one of these class c's different option it's on a track very it kind of rolls around let me take a look at that you want to go ahead and roll it around so that that is definitely interesting i feel like she would really like that she would i like the the kind of corner mounted shower thing here's the only problem that's the only amount of space that you have to get out okay so that's kind of it might be something they can change where you can request the other kind of shower door like the one that i like change it out and so we have some storage down there we have a nice medicine cabinet there and again look ducted ac in the bedroom and in the bathroom i feel like we can do our pro and con right here right now yeah so i'm gonna give you the con what's the con on this one the con is going to be no like plug-ins and not enough like shelving in the bedroom i still think that it's gonna be difficult to get around that bed i don't think that that's gonna be the optimum bedroom for her okay for me i'm gonna talk about pro you have so much space you do and i feel like you do have this nice little armoire over here i feel like there's more than enough storage for her and if if you were giving me a choice it would probably be this one but if not this one get the nexus the only thing is we're gonna have to convince her to get a slide we looked at a lot of classes for grandma we sure have but here's the thing i don't think that we can answer for her well i'm gonna i'm gonna disagree with you i feel like we can answer a little bit for her i feel like we've done a lot of the leg work yeah so i can feel like here's what i'm going to say grandma you can't have a travel trailer you got to have a classy you're going to have to have a classy or a class b but i feel like you're not going to be comfortable in a class b and the price is just up there right i mean you can get such a nice classy yes you're gonna have to worry about parking it a little bit you know but i just feel like you're gonna be much more comfortable in the class c you're getting one of these smaller ones they're really awesome now i will say this i really can't answer for like which one to get but i can tell you which ones i don't like which is the coach pins yeah it was just a little details she's somebody that like really emphasizes quality and the fact that they kind of left off some stuff it just didn't seem finished that was a big one for probably for for definitely for us and probably for her yeah so well let us know down in the comments section if there's any small classes and again small and honestly i would prefer one that doesn't have that like little attic area yes you're giving up the sleeping for the grandkids but
