BEST Small Class C RV with Murphy Bed for Full Time RVing | Tampa RV Show

today we're at the RV Supershow in Florida and three years ago we actually bought our RV here to get us on the road and our grand design momentum 5th wheel toy hauler if you're new to our channel we were actually selling that RV and we are here today to expand our mind and kind of see what options are out there for our new rig we are not done arguing but we do want to go smaller and that's why we are looking at this behind me we're looking for a Class C that is under 26 feet and we want it to have a Murphy bed so that can optimize storage and that we also have a living space to enjoy because oftentimes we see there's beds in the back and we've just determined that it's not right for us so today we're going to show you a few of the contenders we found at the Florida RV Supershow and we're going to start with the pleasure-way this is actually the Plateau XL MB it has a Murphy bed and is under 23 feet the smaller we can get with still lots of comfort and luxury inside the better so let's go inside and take a look I really like the way that the plateau looks I like that there is a full living room with an actual couch that's there all the time as well as a corner kitchen that had decent amount of storage and space for me to work there was also a spot for me to actually have a desk but there was nowhere to really put a computer or my files goes all the way back and there's the tabletop there's your pretty deep so you could put your clothes here I love the bathroom in this model it's at the back of the actual RV and had tons of space and a full shower which is really nice this model really does have everything you need storage full kitchen living space and the Murphy bed is pretty awesome [Music] why every single RV manufacturer behind a freaking Murphy bed puts a window 90% of the day this is gonna be up I don't want a window ahh you're not gonna be able to lay down this way so you gotta lay this one and then one of us has got to get up to go to the bathroom it's decent size I love that it's short but it really doesn't have a ton of storage inside or outside for fall timing you would probably feel like you had a lack of space so I have a few things on my personal checklist as far as the new RV that we're considering one of those is gonna be that water heater I don't want a tank style water heater anymore I really at the very minimum I want two tankless water heater but if I can I want the Aqua go+ which actually will recirculate the hot water line and warm up the water in the lines that way you don't waste the quarter or half a gallon it takes for the lives they get from the tankless pot to the tap itself so that's one of my big checklist right now tankless water heater if not recirculating true myopathy I'm showering in here what are you doing just kidding but this brings up a good point there are a ton of great SP and class C's under 25 feet that give you awesome living space inside and everything you would need but a lot of them come with a wet back and if you're not familiar with a wet back it means where your toilet is is where your shower is and it's rather tight totally doable all with friends and uploads with this and they loved it and full timed but for us one big thing we're looking for is a full bathroom and a full shower so no matter what Class C we go in that's a definite yes [Music] some kinds of this right away is that it is just one size fridge meeting the freezer is inside and sometimes your freezer doesn't get as cold as if it was a separate for each and freezer but full bathroom big kitchen with lots of storage and of course the Murphy bed I don't love that I have to take off the cushions every time I want to pull down the Murphy bed because then you also have to think about where you storing it the TV location is not perfect it's kind of high when you're actually sitting on the couch you have to tilt your head up to look we could live with it but it's not perfect they do have a lot of storage in this RV if you have overhead under head but you kind of have a weird storage under the bed where you have to lift up the cushion so you wouldn't want to put anything that you use option down there and the kitchen is nice but it's a corner kitchen so while you do have space to put all your things here you can't really use it unless you have these in the sink and then dishes could pile up I do like this I like my pantry closet giant giant yeah I like that mm-hmm cause it and the bathroom in general is really spacious there's tons of storage in here full bathroom full shower [Music] it wouldn't make a navvy on 24-d and out of all of the class sees this is probably our favorite option for a Murphy bed what we love about the Navion 24g is it has a full wall side so it feels super spacious inside plus the Winnebagos now beyonds comes stock with 200 watts of solar and a thousand watt inverter so if you're trying to boondock you're going to be able to trickle charge at no extra cost to you and use the appliances that you have on your RV which is such a win and I wish more manufacturers were doing that stock also it has the tremolo go so it's like checking so many marks or s I'm super into having a dinette because it would give us a place that is set up all the time to eat dinner and or work since we do work from the RV dennis is not super into that idea just because it feels less like a living space and more like an RV oh it's not the dinette that I'm not into it's the combo dinette and couch that feels a little strange to me I understand why they did it because it's easy to just finish this area which is the bottom of the Murphy bed with the couch and it actually gives you a ton of storage underneath the couch which is cool because the other thing that I'm not really into with this particular coach model is the hanging closet is way smaller than the one we have now so we have a ton of storage under all this bench seating everywhere which is a plus it kind of outweighs the wonkiness of the feel of the floor plan for me at least now the way the Murphy bed comes down is actually very unique in this model you just hit a button over here on the wall and it comes down automatically [Music] and there's your bet there's no there's no locks to unlock there's no pillows to move none of that so this is a big win - here is the split mattress I'm really not into that but I'm assuming if we get a good enough upgraded mattress that that won't matter much in a perfect world this is what we would end up in the unity MB by leisure travel bans this is the first van that we fell in love with because of the Murphy bed and the floor plan as a whole why do I love the way leisure does things first of all every coach they make is full body paint the paint schemes are super simple and just are pleasing to the eye and none of this crazy Power Ranger swirl stuff going on on the side it comes with 400 watts of solar or it's an option at least thousand watt inverter they're built in British Columbia Canada so they're well insulated these things are literally the magnetic oh yeah so this is the Murphy bed area here so this whole wall comes down we actually don't like the optional upgrade with the power chairs they make a version of this that's called the Flex couch but these are super nice if you wanted something that's power adjustable reclining all that awesome another cool thing is this little dinette pops up between both of the chairs so you can actually turn the chairs this way and have dinner facing each other just like a regular dinette compared to the pleasure way you can actually watch the TV with it up or down which i think is really cool so if I didn't want it blocking the view outside on a stolen to watch it down here I think this this area is totally opaque so you can still watch TV even though it's not popped up a downside to the Murphy bed on the leisure travel band is that you actually have to manually operate them or fee bed so we would have to push down the cushions or remove it if we did have the Flex option here we would have to move the cushions in order to get the bed down each night which is a little bit annoying and that's not ideal for us but the bed feels really nice and it actually is pretty easy to operate and that's one piece mattress so that's the bonus as well there's lots of storage we love that they chose to do storage over here instead of having the over heads bunk we don't want to have a bed up there it takes up a lot of space on the front it makes it look look less appealing and we could use storage whether we could use an extra vent it also has a closet rack for you to hang all of your coats and shoes and random things right when you come in which doesn't get used often on a lot of rvs I really liked that they thought of this a downside is the sink and the kitchen area because once again with these Corner kitchens it feels like you have a ton of space but when you think about actually cooking if you have this covering your sink you don't really have anywhere to chop there's no extra bet there's no your counter to come up because the bed would hit it so even though you were able to store lots of stuff it's not very practical to use which is one of the reasons that we didn't love the Murphy bed floor plan what's that girl so I'm wrong look at that they did think of that but still it's not I mean really like what are you gonna put there it's not a ton of space it's more space than any of the other corners that we've seen it's definitely more space than the other corner ones you see but consider that of your big cooker this could be a challenge the convection microwave standard and all of them they're all the same size so you can't really complain or be excited about that it does have a cyber fridge freezer that's a press and it does have a pantry not as big as some of the other pantries we've seen and but at least it has a pantry have you come in the background this is where it really shines booyah giant but very luxurious I also like that there quality build Oracle covers sometimes they just have like those plastic slide mastic slides and I just feel like your elbow would rip through if you weren't super careful I love it I like the skylight let some sunshine in and the closet aren't big definitely not as big as we've seen but they are a nice size maybe will be maybe will be in the unity Murphy bed if we hit the lotto haha and another perfect world if you didn't want to have the scooter hanging off of the back of the van and need that extra tongue weight capacity that the Sprinter chassis actually gives us we would be looking at the transit really closely because the Murphy bed setup in here is probably the best all-around setup that we've seen in all of the coaches your entertainment system is right over here it pops up on its own Lockette bang so this is usable counter space and totally usable entertainment area sound bar integrated in huge storage underneath when you put the Murphy bed down in in the wonder none of this actually moves you don't have to move any of the cushions you just yank this at the table and everything comes down bang and this actually comes up on the bed one piece mattress is super cool you have these I think these are adjustable so you can watch TV in bed like this is awesome and another thing even here me graph out this all day see those windows up there they're still there when the bed's up so they're actually usable windows instead of every other RV manufacturers version of a window behind a mattress it doesn't make any sense probably the best part about the transits are that there's no slides this entire space that you see in here has no slide-out whatsoever so what does that mean for use as far as our being especially in it well actually in anything that has a slide slides are very inefficient they leak warm and cold air no matter what your ends you're constantly getting drafts and they're just they're compromised they're a big hole on the side of your structure of your of your unit that's what made me fall in love with the transit first and foremost is you have all of this space a full queen-size Murphy then inside the unit with zero slides so the front side of this you have open cabinet storage up here and you have a coat closet up here just like you would in the the bigger brother the unity Murphy bed so this does double duty this is your hanging closet and a bit of a pantry if you like shelves down here and it's big enough for two people to share and if we separated you know my and Liz's things would swing the coat closet and the hanging closet this would be plenty of space kitchen counter space plenty of room to prep anything large stainless steel sink single on/off faucet which is something we don't have in the grand design right now gas range still no oven but you can't complain because none of them have had one and a large usable bathroom so the shower in here even though it looks small is actually a bit bigger than the one that's inside of the Navion that we like and it's finished better than just places to put like your soap and stuff which I don't believe in Avion had again these are travel van bring it with just simplistic usable homey space filled in small units so nice we're home after a long day of touring rvs at the Florida Super Show we got to see some really great class ease up close and personal some that we already knew that we were interested in her life during toured before and then some brand new models like the plateau which was really nice and we also got to see the first time ever the Wonder Murphy bed live we had only ever seen the rear twin bed and mm-hmm so it was a great time getting to see all all those classes help us dream get a little bit closer to our next purchase yes goals are in sight and it also it gives us a much different things to think about as far as like considerations you know I don't know like now we're kind of we want to tow a trailer behind it and go a little smaller there's so many things to consider so the hunt is not over it is not we hope you bed actually what I want to know is if anyone knows any Sprinter chassis RVs that don't have slides with maybe a drop-down bed and not maybe a Murphy bed you're still whole bathroom mm-hmm like let us know what models you you know about down in the comments because we kind of haven't found that perfect sprinter layout yet the Navion is definitely a big contender but who knows like you know who
