6mm ARC Range Test! Group 100 to 1K Yards

all right guys colorable 32 here check it out so we're sitting out here at the range got a packed house out here in the morning who knew in any case one of the things we're going to do is start testing out this guy right here i've got 40 rounds to do what we got to do today now what we're planning on doing is uh i want to test the barrel by itself without a muzzle break on and to do that we're going to use the hornady black because i've got the 40 rounds of the elds i want to keep those separate but this i know what this thing is shooting with the muzzle brake with the hornady black but i want to test it without the break on it so we've got a one inch target set down at the 100 yard range and uh let's see if what this thing will do here we go well would help if i brought it back down to zero well let's put one more round on it interesting okay so what we're going to do is we're going to mount the uh muzzle brake back onto the barrel and let's see what the difference is stand by all right here we go this is with the muzzle brake five round shot grip here we go got it what a difference all right so that was considerably better than what we did last yesterday all right let's go ahead we'll set up another target and then we'll go ahead and try out the eld see what kind of grouping we can get with that right now this rifle is performing flawlessly the ejection pattern is perfect here we go all right so we're going to do we are going to put this thing on the range card and i've got the 100 we're gonna verify zero 500 700 800 and 1000. primarily this rifle is going to be designed to shoot 700 yards in but what we're trying to do also is illustrate uh the capabilities of an 18 inch proof research barrel shooting 108 grain quantity eld let's do this i'm running asc magazines we're testing these things out these are specific for the new six millimeter arc you can load up i think like 25 rounds of these things all right so 2.86 we just don't have any wind today i'm gonna go 2.8 to start out with and i'll hold high that's a 10 inch target up there i've got the arca rail coming in for this thing this week so we can go ahead and start running our arc rail attachments [Music] and i'm going to hold dead center for the first shot we're testing right now i don't care if i hit it or not dead center tell we did there let's go back right underneath it okay so we need to go to nine let's see if that makes a difference [Applause] okay so that's actually three three meals up so i'm gonna hold dead center at three let's do three one okay so 3.1 is where we need to be so you know what i might do let me lays that target just to see if we get a variance in here any distance five one one so we'll go five two all right here we go center target 10 inches all right so let's go two tenths of a mil up all right that's it get a little right spin right shoulder left shoulder over same thing there it is all right so at 700 we're actually at 5.4 and holding left shoulder let's do that again verify that'll work all right 5.4 all right awesome now let's go ahead so we're averaging about three tenths of a mil off so let's go 6.42 is what the cash was calling for to 800 let's go 6.7 let's see if we get lucky camera sitting up there it's a pretty big target i'm gonna hold left shoulder that's an impact let's give it a little bit more one more time let's come up with 110 win is good wow she's starting to lose a little credibility out there all right all right not bad so we're actually at uh 6.8 mills at 800. all right so let's go a thousand nine seven i'm going to go ahead and roll it up to 9.9 for shits and giggles let's put some more ammo in this guy so we're set a thousand i'm gonna run 9.9 mils all right here we are oh okay tenth let's come up two tenths let's do three tenths windage was good [Music] can't tell if that impact or not here we go one more time we're tapping it i think that's it you know what let's go ahead and pop out these uh see how well these [Applause] last of the black dew i don't know what the ballistic coefficient is on these things right off the fat but maybe we can just fire i don't know i was holding about two mils uh high at the end of that whole stream okay so 18 inch barrel out to a thousand um fairly consistent once we figured out exactly what our holes should be so i'm not unhappy with this i know that once we get to a point where we're reloading uh we can tighten up that group and this is going to happen so i've got a thousand of the 108 elds coming in and a couple hundred of the burger 105s and we'll see how those work anyway i hope you enjoyed the video uh this is the first of initial test i'm not this thing's going to be bad the bc the resistance to wind is the key and where we're going any target
