6 ARC

hey everyone and welcome back to the x-ring i've got an exciting episode for you today guess what i've got in my hands six arc okay so big shout out to kb 32 tactical i met up with him the other day and this is the six arc now i know that john hasn't had a whole lot of luck getting groups below like submitted of angle it's right there at minute of angle i'll work up a load for this a hand load but let's go ahead and look at what we've got we're going to start at the back here you have a veltor adjustable buttstock he's added a piece of foam here i guess to help him on his cheek riser this does have the radian raptor charging handle i'm a huge fan of these big shout out to those guys man they make excellent excellent charging handles it's one of the best in the business in my opinion and then jp rifles you have a matched set this is the ctr o2 it's a billet matched upper and lower i run the exact same upper and lower on my things and then we also have the jp lmos the low mass operating system bolt carrier group i run the low mass operating system as well i think it works out great this also has the jp silent capture spring coming forwards we have the jp handguard and this underneath this guys is the proof research six millimeter arc barrel it is 18 inches in length and it has the ultra dyne four port comp on it this also has on the bottom side here you can see the jp enterprises arca swiss rail i've went ahead and put the atlas on here with the area 419 arca swiss clamp the optics up top this is actually going to be a worn cantilever mount and it's topped off here with the primary arms it is the i believe this is the six to thirty yeah six to thirty i have this exact same scope i know it works really well what i want to do is i'm gonna shoot this and see what kind of groups i can get with it as far as the trigger feels great i have no idea who makes this trigger i've got to get inside of there i'll open it up and tell you whose trigger it is stand by all right looking inside of here you can see it does have the trigger tech diamond trigger you can actually see the jp silent capture spring here guys i really love these things if you don't know what a jp silent capture spring is guys for any of your ars if you just don't like that sprungy noise or anything else this is the jp silent capture spring system they make it in the ar-10 as well as the ar-15 i've been running for probably eight years now or so you do have to take the detent out otherwise this is very very difficult to remove but basically you can tune it for the recoil spring with inside of the buffer spring itself you can get the different spring kits but man i really want to shoot this let's check it out on paper all right guys so when i met up with john i did not get a magazine so i'm going to be using my asc the 6.5 grendel magazine it should work just well for it i don't think there's any issues with that i do have some bolt gun loads but i'm not going to put those in here i think the pressures are going to be too high and since this isn't my rifle i'm sure john will appreciate that so let's start off with five rounds see what we get out of this six millimeter arc we are shooting the six arc in the 108 eld match we will take it out to 700 we'll see how it does so stay tuned let me go ahead and load this thing up i don't even know if this scope is zeroed so all right so what we're going to do is we're going to go for the bottom left dot someone else was shooting on this paper earlier actually it was myself shooting a 6'5 but let's go ahead and see what we have at 100 yards for a group tell you what the setup is really nice and light i do like it right off the bat all right five shots 100 yards so we're a little high we're shooting for group though you know what let me go ahead and make the correction and then what i'll do is then do a group so i'm going to call that half a mil high let's come down half a mil as close as i'm going to be able to get to it so here we go four shot group all right guys so that's going to be that last shot was a little outside of the group that's still going to be about a minute a little over a minute acceptable accuracy so what i want to do is i'm going to run some calculations on this see what i can get for my dope and we'll just run it out two three four five six seven hundred yards stay tuned all right guys this is the first time i've shot a six millimeter arc in a gas gun i'm pretty darn impressed with it all right so what we're to do is we'll run the targets out hopefully you guys can hear the report on this we'll have somebody on the tacticam spotter just trying to do it uh we'll start at 300 and then we'll just work our way on out i've got like eight rounds and guys the largest target that i will be shooting at is going to be a 10 inch wide by 18 inch tall target let's see what happens we'll go from there but man i really like this all right so we're going to go 300 first 200 yards we're gonna go one mil ready and we'll do two shots each on each on everything here we go [Music] two impacts now we're gonna go 400 yards 400 yards is an eight inch round [Music] nice now we're going to go 500 yards 500 yards is here i'm gonna hold about two eight on it [Music] off to the right elevation was good though [Music] two impacts now let's go to 600 600 is the hardest target out here because it's so dirty it's hard to see so i'm gonna go 600 euros i'm gonna hold four mils on that i'll favor left edge no i'm gonna hold about four or three impact so that's two let's go to 700 we're not going to go for that big man still up there i think that's cheating i rarely ever shoot that thing okay so guys so you guys can see it there's a 10 by 10 in the corner it's right there my crosshairs the hold for that's going to be about 5.1 mils so 5 1 is right in here it's a little blurry because of the angle but here we go [Music] let's go five five [Music] that's it you guys can see it so so guys just to be able to run the targets out like that with that 108 grain eld match it's pretty darn impressive i'm impressed with this setup i think john is actually planning on shooting this at the sniper's unknown match and honestly i think it's a great option if there's no feed issues man it's carrying it as far as the 6'5 grindel i've had a lot of people ask about that the 65 grendel is a great cartridge i've kind of gotten away from it though because i didn't like the velocities that i was getting for the size bullet that i wanted to shoot so this is typically going to be about 100 feet per second faster with the same type bullet and it uses the same case but that six millimeter is just a whole lot more slick through the air than that 6'5 so i do like it i hope you
