$500 Camper - Can We Survive 4 days and 250 Miles??

all righty let's get going today on junkyard digs we're going to take a long and perilous journey a good ways down the road to buy something stupid to do something dumber as you know there's a whole bunch of cars sitting in a shed that we've been working on reviving and we've got 460 degree days coming up so we're gonna make the most use of those possible and just like that we're here why are we here specifically because of that a 500 camper for you sir five hundred dollars registration and keys let's go camping this is an 84 chevy i believe a g30 yep so one ton this was sitting in a driveway where a couple uh female lovers lived in it correct yes it is a bit rougher than the last camper revival we did to say the least there's pretty much no interior we got a bed thing there some sleeping room up there and then two beds in the back and the bathrooms all torn up and it's leaking poop on the ground and the classic stuff but hopefully she cranks let's see if she fires up oh dude there's a runner daily actually fires right up and it's got great tires on it so 500 bucks we're calling this a steal is this a terrible idea yeah probably is it gonna be awesome yeah probably let's get this back to the shop get it cleaned up and hit the road oh great that's cool something's definitely wrong this thing idles it all of two grand when it's not in gear oh god here we go again with the whole camper thing these are these are a bit sketchier revivals and drives than we usually do because like you know it's it's a car you can stop it with small trees if you need to or this is a camper and it weighs a lot and god i hope nothing goes wrong i can already feel the flat spots in the tires strawberry doesn't work thing shakes like crazy oh my gosh i drove this an hour oh lord besides the shaking it's not too bad for driving brakes work good stays in its lane power steering works the seat is destroyed it's horrible there's a giant piece of foam off my ass so that's fun uh no idea if the fuel gauge works it says three quarter of tank if they drove in an hour i don't really believe that we're making our way down the road towards the shop so let's get over there and get it cleaned up it is currently tuesday afternoon and we leave a thursday morning so without further ado let's make it happen oh the brakes they're almost too good scary all right let's take a look at what the hell we just bought for 500 bucks apparently the couple that bought this paid like five grand this summer and then broke the news about their preferences to whoever's driveway they were living in and they were told to get rid of it immediately phoenix's buddy jesse bought it for 300 bucks sold it to us for 500 bucks everyone wins what do you think i couldn't follow you what it stunk so bad behind that yeah it's leaking you can see it it was terrible oh yeah it smells like poop in here so yeah they had a dog in one of the bunks so we got a top bunk a bottom bunk a side bunk and a bed up here everything is pretty nasty let's see if these work oh fresh water light is on i don't know what that means i think lp is lower either lp is good and batteries lower the other way around none of our lights work in this camper i wonder if one of our batteries is dead moving to the back we have the shower full of wood a toilet a dream catcher stick with a bunch of twine so yeah this one good chunk rougher than the last camper we were in the jokes just right themselves we've got 145 clips to rip through for this episode most of which is me cleaning out a camper which is not exactly anything thrilling so we're going to do a bit of voice over and summarize everything to keep it moving after exploring the interior i grabbed a couple sets of keys and familiarized myself with what utilities and hookups we had on the exterior of the camper once that was done i dug out the shop back and got to work on cleaning out the poopoo lover mobile all right what's under here hey that looks promising bingo that's the battery well probably one third of the way through it we got half this trash bag full of foam and we got a battery and a fresh water tank it looks like as well some electrical connections and stuff so the stuff i do for money i tell you [Music] all right time has passed i've kind of filled this bag and i've had to empty the shop back twice there's our battery a little side post interstate that should charge right up there we've got our fresh water tank and there's our heater back in the corner looks like i got a little more vacuuming to do i haven't opened this yet so yeah get that cleaned up the rest of the way get a battery charger on that sucker and move forward in other news though i did find this tarp which means we have a plan b if this camper is a big pile of crap and smells like doo-doo butter and we don't want to sleep anymore we can set up a tarp and all three of us can cuddle under that after digging out the dog demolition scene in the bottom bunk i got the battery charger on our camper power battery and was able to get some of the lights and stuff working one of my next big tasks was to see if our propane accessories worked at all because not only was it getting a little cold outside but here at the shop i had fire extinguishers and garden hoses in case everything went poorly holy [ __ ] look at that the freaking stove works oh my lord son of a gun what about over here now that we're getting some voltage and stuff fresh water got a light gray water got a light oh uh holding tank is half full wow this actually freaking works the pump works holy crap okay this campers it's getting too good too fast i think i'm gonna go read the instructions on how to light the pilot light on that heater because that's like the big scary that's the one i definitely want to test here not on someone else's property near the top of the list of things i don't know a lot about is campers at least when we started on this one that is i actually learned a ton about campers cleaning this thing up with that being said one of the first things i learned was that this is actually the water heater not the heater once i properly read the label and figured that out i decided it's probably best not to make a pressure bomb in the back of the camper after messing around with the interior heater a little bit to make sure it was safe to light i found an on off switch hidden on the bottom of our thermostat set the temperature and waited to see what would happen there's hot air coming out over here i think the heater works automatically yeah we got warm air oh my lord are you kidding me in the process of trying to figure out how that works i got the fridge to light the pump works the stove works i haven't hooked up city water but like everything works why are we shutting off oh our battery's getting run down there we go everything this camper works i can't believe it all right enough distractions i'll finish vacuuming let's do it all right progress update i am vacuuming everything out got the floors done uh got everything up here done and that is at which point i discovered something i don't know what kind of activities are going on up here in the top bunk but i think whatever they were they applied a good bit of weight to the surface because that is the great outdoors as the night went on the repair list got longer and longer eventually i got the radio working and phoenix stopped by to check up on the progress with the camper [Music] it's got a surround sound it's warm in here too yeah i got the the heater even shut itself off just now thermostat set hey how about the ac even works ah stove works stove works everything's stinky wait wait open that again what's it say emmett and ally this ain't bad for 500 bucks this is amazing oh the third member of the party is calling hello wackus hello we're just jamming out the danger zone of the 500 camper oh god we found a chalkboard on the fridge and says repairs so it might be important to read this so so we got something gas gas curtain hook maybe punk curtains for bunk yep there we go flash sheer junk oh oh i see sea fish curtains so [Laughter] clean bunk bathroom insurance chain we don't know oh chair probably chairs no that's an end they had some chains in here ivy and front seats f your mom sad face with a tongue hanging out and then goo ha interesting dude check this out so one one more thing they hung candles from the knobs well you can see where i wipe my finger on it there's another one over there like how did they not burn this thing to the ground and if i did that this place was just you guys smell that back there i'm surprised the heater hasn't caught on fire since you've been in here yeah yeah all right let's get this sunbitch cleaned up ray roll alrighty so some time has passed i have been busy scrubbing away our stove looks amazing now both below the grate and above the stove hood cleaned up nice the sink looks a thousand times better and not disgusting anymore like you could probably actually use that to clean things all the cabinets are vacuumed out the walls have been wiped down with detriments so we're sanitized and cleaned in here for the most part the last thing i have to clean up is this which is all busted up made out of some custom wood i guess and just not really serving any purpose for supper tonight we ordered pizza and i drove over to pick it up and i shoot you not on the way there there was an awesome couch sitting on the side of the road let's go get that thing and see if it fits right here this could this could work out way too well i think it's over there oh yeah there it is i see it alright mook are you ready for this amazing [ __ ] no i'm never gonna be ready for this oh it's freaking perfect look at it do you know what perfect means someone wanted to go home there's a cat watching us this is a terrible idea i can't lift you literally are let's go ready come on all right yeah that'll do let's ourselves a free curbside couch i don't know about you guys but things in pretty good shape you ask me looks like i can make some good sleepings let's see if it'll even slightly fit because i don't know it might all right our free couch is 79 inches and this space is 79 inches so it will fit perfect oh good i forgot my sock that you brought to the shop today kevin came to work with a sock hanging out of his pants and it was my sock and he had gone in public a few times yeah i went to casey's and got breakfast with a sock hanging out on my butt crack thanks i didn't do it i know but i didn't get heck out of my house you showed up to the shop with a sock hanging over your butt what am i supposed to do thank you for at least telling me it was my sock i wanted it back all right good night i'm gonna keep working your crazy hacker yeah okay sock butt you know sometimes on revivals i gotta wonder if i have my priorities straight this time i don't have to wonder i know i do okay this thing put on weight since i last looked at it nope don't second guess it kevin just keep going i'm sure it'll all be fine oops wait a minute it's gonna be in backwards it's gonna fit oh son of a [ __ ] my finger celebrations got shorter there ah it's it's in okay lay down take a nap smash my finger on this on the countertop i just crushed this same finger this morning son of a [ __ ] all right let's get this thing all the way in i tell you what kids this camper just went up like 500 percent in the amount of awesome it is now once the couch was installed and level i put the seat back in and put the door back on in the process though i had to get under the vehicle to remove the seat mounts and i thought i'd show you guys exactly how incredibly clean this camper is there's not a spec of rust not even the starting spec of surface rust the seals are even so good and if you go underneath you'll see the cleanest 350 in turbo probably turbo 400 trans i've ever seen followed by a perfect perfect frame and support structure this thing looks brand freaking new so for 500 bucks this is a win maybe even a keeper ah we'll see that's that's pushing it alrighty welcome back it is the next morning i was in here until midnight last night at which point the battery charger said hey you were full so i unplugged it and the battery immediately went yeah down to like zero percent so we need a new battery on top of that this is not a marine deep cycle battery like it should be this is just a regular car battery they're not designed to be constantly charged and depleted charged and depleted fully in each direction this one however is it's also a top post so i'll be able to put that safety cover over it coming into here you can see i got started on cleaning up the bathroom a little bit it kind of stinks in there so we're just gonna probably keep that closed everything over here is clean and looking good i still need to fix that big crack up there i got a plan for that uh our seats temporarily sitting back in still gotta get to the motor and mess with our choke as you can see i took a trip to walmart and with the battery all these two inch mattress pads some fitted sheets pillows safety equipment we spent four hundred dollars which is specifically one hundred dollars less than the whole camper with all that being said it is wednesday morning we leave tomorrow morning i am on an extremely tight schedule i have to finish this help mook with the nova and edit this week's video all today somehow so i'm gonna set the camera down set up some beds hang the safety equipment and we'll be back and with that mook and i set to work making the beds installing some extra 120 volt outlets for charging our phones cutting a 2x4 at a 45 degree angle and then securing it in place through the bottom and then the front to pull that front bed back together spraying some flex seal on whichever leaks we could find yeah i'm pretty much the next phil swift confirming that the grey tank was not going to be joining us for this trip filling our freshwater tank and then packing everyone in thursday morning what is that this is our house get your fancy college ass inside the house yeah college ass have an ass angus now you're dressed right for this you you're on par for this adventure i was hoping i was underdressing you saying i'm on par makes me nervous welcome home oh at least there's a couch that doesn't look like it has aids why is the ceiling dirty i've been in houses that are worse they've been on fire but they were oh they were worse yeah guys this is the camper i've been pretty busy for the last two days but what you're removing the pieces from the previous owners what happened to the previous owners jesse what the hell what are you doing we it is thursday morning these guys are down here we're gonna hop in this thing right now i still haven't touched anything under the hood i don't even think i've ever checked the oil let's just i'm just gonna i'm just gonna sit right here turn the key and we're going to hit the road see how far we make it i absolutely love how the carbon monoxide sensor is up here yeah that's i put it there those go on the floor oh it says keep out of reach of children so i can't put it down on the floor because that's where the heater is and it just would have been blasted in the face by the heater and that's bound to go off that's not great that's not a good sign alrighty boys let the adventure begin definitely to choke what's causing our high idle because if you don't touch the gas it idles perfectly fine is that yours or is that in here and i didn't see it that your girlfriend just came out of the thing the the bag with the stuff the pants that's not my bag uh jesse brought the whipped topping then i'm not gonna ask you oh there's something in it i'm just throwing it like whipped up oh that was the cake he was talking about [Laughter] we can't tell him you won't know what happened to the cake to watch the video sorry jesse all right let's put this damn thing in gear and get out of here let's uh let's go camping question mark so we've got two pit stops three pit stops we need to make one gas make sure this gauge works two poop get rid of it all three the junkyard halfway there that has a whole bunch of campers so we can get new seats because these suck let's do it well look at that we made it to our first pit stop and it smells like poop immediately oh god yeah anytime you move it stinks in here oh okay oh that's really bad i'll move the batteries and then lock that door place your bets is it actually full what oh this one that can't click it all the way mcgee's great it's probably a thousand gallon tank all right let's see if we can get in it alright guys we got 27 gallons in let's see if this moves not even a little boys we ain't got no fuel gauge what do you think we get for mileage five yeah i was gonna say five so is that a hundred miles with a full tank of gas and a confirmed non-operational fuel gauge or odometer we set off on our 120 mile trip we've got the windows open because it smells so bad when you start sloshing the tank around because it's probably way overbuilt okay i cannot sit that far back anywhere it's so bad we were hoping as soon as we got out of town we'd find smoother roads and the smell would not be quite as bad unfortunately that was not at all the case and the entire camper reeked of raw sewage with our noses covered and our eyes watering we made our way to the nearest campground hoping and praying they had a dump station do you see dumping station on that map sewage lagoon that sounds promising or are they warning us about that unfortunately the park was closed and had no dumping grounds available this is a whole new definition of shitbox [Laughter] lucky for us there was an rv service center and campground called twin anchors right up the road and it was only 10 bucks to dump your poop [Applause] we got some d germ in the camper so you're a brave man you didn't pay double this this trip i'm getting paid [Applause] oh man just like to say you get to edit this part okay so that was good individual ready ready [Applause] no more poo poo or so i thought as it turns out it was still the same amount of poopoo some liquid had leached into the drain pipe and that was all we got out there was so much solid in the tank no matter how much water we flushed down the toilet or how many sticks we shoved up the pipe to try to loosen up a clog nothing came out running out of daylight and far out of options we hopped back in the camper plugged our noses and hit the road again so we've been on the road for a half hour baby stink has come and gone this thing's so good that we don't even have classic small box heavy header link for an rpm indicator we just have higher noise all right hour 20. 82 miles left one thing about old campers is they rattle and shake like hell jesse's full-time job in the back seat was to figure out what the noises were and try to make them stop what the hell what the [ __ ] how do i not see that you have brownies how did i not see that you want something i am okay uh jesse uh do you want to throw this literally anywhere else oh god it's it's hit me uh somewhere where it won't rattle please chuck that [ __ ] out the window no it's worse soon enough we were at our next pit stop doug's four-wheelers in pella iowa we looked at a couple cars quick and then inquired what they wanted for a set of seats for our camper they said a hundred dollars a pop we said never mind and got back on the road all right we are 54 minutes away that's 52 minutes of sniffing poop let's get it done with all right we made it all the way to oskaloosa but you know the area it's not far from where we just left but it's still a significant achievement to us we're gonna stop and get some food and whatever we need to survive the night and then we'll be back on the road if the thing starts again yeah yeah i mean we could just light it we could take the cap off the turd pipe light it and rock it away the rest of the way that's what they put in like solid state rockets right that's where the poop goes into space after our walmart supply run we got back on the road once again and finished the last half hour of our drive well ladies and gentlemen we made it at this point it's time to set up camp for didn't bring pretty much anything we brought a couple tools for what we're gonna be working on but besides that any repairs we need to make to the camper any modifications camp itself any tools we need the firewood all of that we're going to find on the property to give a perfect example i already looked at this last time we were here this is every vehicle and every corner is just stuff and it's all brand new stuff like this guy bought out clearance section so there's just like here's here's a battery charger probably works perfectly fine there's about 46 cans of oil over there flashlight do some construction on the camper circular saw let's look for some firewood some chairs maybe a bucket for water we need a fire ring like a rim or something we found our water buckets because there's buckets full of water there's chainsaws all over the place so i'm sure we'll be able to find where those are going [Applause] it's like a dr seuss chainsaw that's a big that's a full hold us tonight maybe oh yeah we can help these guys clean up this property the owner of the property passed away and the family bought it and they want everything cleared out so we're gonna help them get the cars out here on this trip will help them clean up some of the trash by burning up all this pallets and stuff so obviously we brought just the camper which means we don't have a car to like go to town to get parts so another first order of business once camp is set up is get a car running for us to literally use all weekend when we're doing this revival so we definitely have options and this is one of them no keys there is however a bucket full of ohio buckeyes ooh a little booby calendar hang that in the camper i'm a big fan of march i think june's got something going on hey look an electric chainsaw if we can't get the gas on running we've got backups five gallon portable air tank new in the box chairs there you go we got all three oh that one's broke okay we gotta find one more chair spark plug sockets regular sockets another brand new in the box electric chainsaw another electric chainsaw it's not a trailer jack in case we find a trailer this is a nice unit after you sir air compressor welcome to heaven and hell all in the same place oh there's so much hit the door the bench grinder on the floor the bench grinder on the bench hey wow so yeah we gotta find our car it's fair hey do we need any more chairs because i just found another one maybe two oh yeah actually oh this isn't a chair this is the launcher oh we'll take that oh perfect that makes great firewood i found an axe i found a glitter wood oh what after 20 minutes of constantly getting distracted by all the cool shiny stuff around us we finally had gathered enough materials to make camp hey a chair this one's clean this one's brand new we'll use that one instead of the dirty one about that time spencer showed up and wired in a 30 amp outlet to plug her camper into of course a huge thank you to spencer for coming all the way up here to do that for us having power in the camper made the whole weekend just that much easier supplemental battery you're going to stay in this yeah this is our house man do you like it have you what do you think we drove this is either this or sleep in the cars or sleep in the actual house which would you have done i've heard terrible i would rather much rather sleep in my pickup we've got brand new mattresses and a brand new couch that we found on the curb more importantly there's a bunch of bush light in the fridge well not in the fridge don't open the fridge yeah it's not in the fridge it's in the cooler don't go in the fridge i didn't clean the fridge also don't go in the bathroom let's get camp set up what do you guys say yes like actually this time we're gonna put the camera away crack open a few uh adult beverages have ourselves a hydration session and then you should just get on this okay in your eye so as you can see we've got quite the little setup going we got our campfire we're burning the pallets that we found in the rim that was in the back of the s10 i don't know if you guys can see but around the fire we have some chairs that we have found over there on the camper you'll see a nice bright light that is a housing i found in a car with a bulb i found in another car in the background you probably hear some music off of a radio likely from the 60s that was in the shed we plugged into a cord we found in the shed and we're listening to music somewhere at some point last time we were here i saw hot dog skewer poker and cookers so we'll figure something out for supper here but i think we're gonna put the camera down enjoy our nighttime activities and we'll see you guys in the morning for a whole bunch of revival we've survived good morning everyone is it is it a good morning it's day two that's for sure uh angus was a little cold last night i think yeah we brought this electric oil heater and i'm like that'll keep us warm and i like kind of set it on low jesse and i were fine we brought nice big sleeping bags but angus i'm using what i got it was nice i was not gonna buy a new sleeping bag for this little excursion maybe we'll leave the propane heat on tonight it's getting real homely in here ain't just chilling on the couch in the living room we just got back and doing chores came in through the mud room jesse's doing his hair and i'm making breakfast we got our our candle burning life is good after breakfast we set the work on finding any car in the yard that would run and drive that we could use to travel back and forth to town initially i wanted that to be a part of this video but it quickly evolved into an adventure that is definitely deserving of its own video make sure you guys hit that's why it was nice out yep in my brain i'm like we got heat in the camper and supposed to be warm out i'll be good and i freaking packed a nice warm sleeping bag and this that was it let's go look around the shed and see if we can find some clothes and maybe another blanket prank oh there's a key in the truck already is that an antenna clear no another box for a cd oh there's actually a cb in that one are these chrome lug nuts for a big big rig with reflectors on them here's another bulb for that uh pull light we just got to turn on there's a lot of poop a whole bunch of the lure like i mean a lot of the lure flush steering wheel covers like seven of them seven or eight and there's another bag of them okay yeah so uh no clothes [Music] oh box with some muffins a fence cowboy hat ooh and it's not myself that is an indiana jones hat if i've ever seen one this must've been a pretty small dude yeah this is the second hat of his that doesn't fit me wow they're just clean in here pair of car mats actually eight car mats is that a new floor jack there's a brand new floor jack and another 15 velour wheel covers okay maybe someone in the comments can answer this every car has a bag of corn cubs just the cobs no corn no holes just the cobs makes for really good toilet paper it's exfoliating each one has a bag of corn cobs and like a whole thing of paper towels what is that oh it's a grill brand new grill new old stock important documents enclosed the danbury mint wait a minute [Applause] oh boy [Applause] what the hell what are you doing in the trunk of a car these are the very very expensive model cars like look at their little antenna i would say take it out but our hands are so dirty yeah i'm not touching it well that's interesting this is amazing uh something i did see before the camera panned away was right underneath that danbury mint unit we found another throw blanket hey there's your blanket for the night excellent that's new in the package i'm gonna set this back here but don't worry this will not be left here to be scrapped if the car gets scrapped or whatever happens to the car we're gonna let the guys know that this is in here or make sure it gets rehomed properly so we're just looking at this monte carlo it's full of model cars oh my gosh oh they're good we need to let them know that they got a bunch of model cars out here and they're good hey close i really didn't think this would actually work okay god dang it actually fits must've been his wife's look i'm ready to go ride a snowmobile you don't look like it sound like you though oh another model car limited edition 1955 oldsmobile holiday coupe peach if we were smart we would put these all in one place we will move that to the monte carlo car the car car the monte carlo car storage car the monte carlo model car load wow that was some verbal gymnastics just there oh sweet hat yeah do we want uh the pga tour old thresher oh yeah i've heard of that there you go a little bit of something for everybody i've always wanted to go but i just you know she never thought i would i bet that fits you oh yes we can match we'll be the browns get it because that is their last name you give me a look jesse and it's not really understanding like it kind of looks like your coveralls it does it almost looks like the same material although i wish mine had that lining it's a polyester oh my god it is it's big ben it's big ben they made my coveralls dude you got a full set now i have my coveralls in the camper i don't know what i'm sleeping in tonight all right i think we're ready to same as the day shims okay so our next operation here that we're ready for the night chef and all warm is to clean this spot to do this we need to set up a whole system we need something to hold the trash got the s10 and something to incinerate trash that's not going to let all these embers out and go into either this building or the hay building or anything like that we were able to find a barrel it doesn't have any holes in the bottom if we can fix that ain't got to be pretty i just gotta have holes [Music] goddamn goddamn the barrel is turning red it is it is audibly loud so we have turned our campfire into a legit incinerator and we're gonna rip through some garbage and make ourselves a spot to work let's do it well gentlemen it's the end of day two two we are quite tired worked up until about about 10 right what time is it where are we all those clocks and all those cars but none in this one yeah it's about 9 30 if i had a guess 9 30 10 and we worked on cleaning that shop all day set up a whole second incinerator had a process going just ripping through cardboard and wood bits we still didn't make a damn dent on that spot we walked away and they came back and i went damn i thought we were going to start that so at this point we're having one of our favorites macaroni and cheese with hot dogs and then at the end you throw in whole can of cream of mushroom don't knock it till you try it it's like two bucks to make and delicious anyway yeah we're gonna finish supper and go to bed happy thanksgiving everyone for 2022 we'll see you guys in the morning or will we there's always a chance we don't see you in the morning and we're dead there's only one way to find out and that's to subscribe or just wait about three seconds yeah surprise we survived we spent the next morning cleaning up trash so we could finally build a spot to work inside the shed out of the wind and out of the elements we probably spent a good six hours on this spot the night before but it still took all the way until noon the next day before we could finally walk through it so as you can see we moved some chairs and [ __ ] into a different building gave ourselves some space we're finally about ready to set up a shop goal is to keep working and as we go clean the spots we are until eventually three four five cars in we have a workshop set up ready to go that we can operate out of so yeah next step clean up the last of that spot put all our extension cords batteries air compressor tools table bring that all in here and get to work okay so kevin just went to town in the s-10 because he had to use the restroom i guess so while the boss is away i kind of want to explore that [ __ ] because i haven't really gotten to look around in there yet so let's go see what's in there i know there's that 51 over there in the caprice but there's got to be some other cool stuff in there okay so we're in the shed the caprice is right there and over here we've got looks like just mostly implements there's an alice chalmers uh hay rake under these ladders there's another i think that's the wd there buried behind the rape oh there's two rakes what the heck ah cattle tank some thorns oh pile of this this car this 51 side note so i have a 50 and it has trim going down the body but since it's a four door the trim is in a different spot the deluxe mostly refers to the trim around the base of the cabin my bad that is deluxe i'm losing my mind but anyway more achievably these bikes are too bad oh is that a banana seat oh my god oh this thing's kind of sweet excuse me other bike that doesn't deserve my attention right now that's a unit i thought the seat cover was missing but it's not oh no the boss is back quick grab the mic ah come here you we're going on an adventure oh he's here run away [Music] i did it oh my god now the problem just takes we'll be in good shape oh yeah homeboy got a bike now it's the little princess it's this three-speed shift little princess heck yes yeah i'll be a little little princess today this chain's rather rather dry oh it's so hard to go my glutes [Applause] are even bursting i don't know [Applause] it's a spool three speed i'm confused too because i don't see three gears so this big old drum on the back is a bunch of planetary gears in it for those of you who don't know that's me i don't know so when you pull the shifter lever theoretically yeah there we go it changes the detent and a rod pushes in and selects the gears in that drum whoa once we finish cleaning up our shop since it's been like halfway through today in all of last night and we're still working on this damn thing we're almost there it took way more work than we anticipated lots of stuff after that we filmed a revival on a 75 monte carlo keep an eye out for that video because once again i don't want to give away any spoilers next thing we knew the sun was below the horizon and we were ready for the coldest night there yet it's day three i think yes it is it's supposed to get down to 30 tonight these aren't really enough to heat this camper i've decided uh being that there's no insulation and that floor is ice freaking cold we've decided that the front monk in the upper pantry and the upper bunk at the rear are the places to sleep in the winter obviously heat rises angus froze his ass off the first night and me and jesse were fine yeah we did have a bit heavier sleeping bag but a lot heavier yeah i mean have you seen that sheet it's not a sheet what was i supposed to know look at the weather i dressed up okay i had the sleeping bag you wanted me to buy another sleeping bag i'm here for free anyway yeah it's cold on the bottom bunk so we turned this sucker all the way up for tonight we're not brave enough to leave the propane heater on because it blasts right into the side of that couch so not ideal although it is ideal if you're sleeping on the couch yeah which was our solution is angus went from the bottom pantry to the living room in one step and i got really close to the pretzels and he's right in front of the heater so he stays warm with me and jesse stayed warm was worth high tonight's gonna be a test it is freaking freezing last night it was cold as hell in my shelf you want a cuddle no the moral of the story is it was a little cold here and tonight's getting down to 30. so how's that immoral to the story that was just stating the fact basically we're talking said we're not going to do this so anyway here's this thing you know what let's just scrap this whole thing so it's really cold the end good morning gentlemen are you being loud stop being loud i can't see a thing ah good morning gentlemen we lived we've lived through the whole trip so far that's the last night in the camper it's raining promise it just started it just started raining hey this isn't that bad it's not a bad camper but it's not a great experience between the stress of you not being able to use your full bed and the chance of you rolling over and falling on my face sleep is a little stressful do you want to have any good dreams that are dream catcher work i had a dream oh i had a dream that we woke up and the sun was shining and it was warm and we were like oh it's time to go home and so we parked the camper in the shed where the square body was the first one like an unreasonably small spot for this camper and i was like it fit perfectly and then we all hopped in our own monte carlo or something and we all just drove home in the lap of luxury no poop smell it smelled like roses i remember saying out loud in my dream smells like roses and then and then i woke up there it is got a little cold last night heater turned on the middle night and just started running though so that helped oh i had to wake angles i'll be like hey the propane heater won't shut off it just keeps cycling between fan times and it just run in the fan so we had to turn that off before we burned to the ground don't know what that was about maybe it really was just that cold it got windy it did i know that oh wow this is why i wear hats so yeah today we're cleaning up camp doing the last little bit of the monte carlo video and getting the hell out of here if the camper lets us got a great shelf at all but once we got some breakfast dennis we finished up the last of the videos for the weekend put all the tools back in their respective spots wrapped up all our extension cords unplugged all our batteries and admired the clean spot we'd made in the shed once the camper was packed up and ready to go we turned the key and hit the road for another 120 miles home oh yay we gotta go home i've never been so excited to be back in the poop mobile as angus stated earlier what happened to the mirror the round one needs to go bottom right perfect [Laughter] these are just wherever they want to be we're up and running yeah we've slept in this dang thing for three minutes three nights we're going home dairy queen dairy queen there is no dairy queen let's get the hell out of here boys put the nail through the tire damage all right two hours let's just get it over with unfortunately for us our miraculous hopes of the poop smell not being there on the way home were far from true it was arguably worse all the way home for some reason we stopped at the first cases to refuel and angus had the brilliant idea to go inside and buy some air fresheners we basically shoved these things up our nose for the entire drive home because that was the only way to make the air bearable to breathe yeah it's pretty bad to help mitigate the smell we had to open the cabin air vents which meant there was 30 degree air blowing on our legs the whole time and for some reason the heat didn't work in the camper three miles from the shop we made a quick stop to drop something off at which point i looked under the hood and saw that the heater core had a manual valve i gave it a twist and sure enough we had heat for the last three minutes of our two hour drive merry christmas shooter's full well we did it we drove this damn thing 250 miles it's just not a lot for like a camper but two bucks a mile oh total cost so there it is we've driven our 500 camper 250 miles and lived in it for four days at this point i think i'm gonna have a quote done to see what it takes to get that tank flushed and get the gray tank replaced because sewage is something i don't mess with it's actually a really nice camper the thing's really solid everything we touched worked and the only problems that has any more since we fixed the interior heat up front is the speedometer doesn't work the fuel gauge doesn't work and the gray tank leaks and the black tanks block of poop that's it that's that's significant if you guys enjoyed
