This video features campers under twenty feet
for taking off-grid and off-roading, showers included! I think I know what you need; some time alone
with some small towable travel trailers that have all the things you could want from your
home! So if you can't make it out there right now,
this video will be your medicine to hold you over. You'll get a gander at this blue babe, the
Cortes Camper, with all the curves, and this angular pop-up with a bunk, the CX. Also, stay tuned until the end if you want
a closer look at this literal mobile home from the collaboration of Tend Building and
Architend. I'm Glenn, and let's get to it! We're gonna start off with Oliver Travel Trailers. This hearty manufacturer says they don't do
things the easy way. They simply do things the right way. Their lifetime of experience amounts to about
400 hours per trailer. That's some commitment. However, talk is cheap. What sort of products do 400 hours mean for
Oliver Travel Trailers? Well, let me be the first to introduce you
to the Legacy Elite 2022 edition. This is a traditionally-inspired travel trailer
that almost looks like it could blend in with the boats at the pier. This single-axled hauled home is no schooner,
though, so don't try to sail it just because it's waterproof. The Legacy Elite is a nearly eighteen and
a half foot-long camper with plumbing packed between the enclosed shells. That's right, we're talking about a functional
bathroom with a toilet and a shower. Now, that's not anything too special for this
list, though, as every model I'll be showcasing has a bathroom. The special thing about the Legacy Elite is
how well-rounded it seems on paper. It has a little of it all, a dining room with
a tv that converts into a twin-sized bed, four-season resistance with central air, and
a 10' awning. In fact, the only thing the Legacy Elite seems
to lack is a kitchen. That's not the end of the world, though, and
a smattering of additional options, like a 230 Watt solar panel, may help even things
out. Following the Legacy Elite from Oliver Travel
Trailers, we find ourselves looking at a company that uses its decades of experience designing
and manufacturing boats to challenge the RV scene. Cortes Campers has some big plans to dominate
the camper arena. Let's see if they can compete! Utilizing the ageless design of yesteryear,
Cortes Campers modernizes by constructing this sheening trailer with vacuum-infused
aluminum fiberglass. It seems Cortes Campers is intent on using
materials akin to what is used in aerospace; plenty of patented fiberglass and carbon fiber,
that is. This means that aside from being quite the
beauty, the Cortes Camper line is time-tested and won't rot away or corrode like their wood-using
peers. The interior retains some of that glossy finish,
but sadly with a bit more of a clinical aesthetic. That is the tradeoff for not using wood or
fabric, though, it seems, so perhaps this is more of a preference instance. Let us know in the comments what you think
of this! An entryway wardrobe and overhead wraparound
cabinetry are what's offered in terms of storage. That and under-seat storage space below the
workstation. Cortes also supplies all the amenities you
would want; HD TV, AC, heating, hot water, plenty of water storage, and a kitchenette. Cortes Campers may not dominate the market
right now, but perhaps they can dig out a sizeable place yet for themselves. For number three, we move onward to Star
Vision Campers and Caravans, another travel trailer company from Australia that is
devoted to their craft. Star Vision has three words to describe their
campers; Durable, agile, and affordable. Star Vision has a few models in their repertoire,
but the one we're interested in today is the CX1. This is a compact, lightweight pop-up camper
that looks inspired by military equipment or vehicles. All of the models in Star Vision's line have
this aesthetic. The CX1 is stocked with SV independent suspension,
making off-roading a much more comfortable, safe, and pleasurable experience. The exterior is where you'll find a lot of
the features of this one. A large toolbox on the front, slide-out fridge,
pull-out kitchen, two full-size spare tires, a wind-out awning, and a couple of roof-fitted
solar panels make up the bulk of your needs. There is inside and outside access to the
portapotty when nature calls, so you're covered no matter the emergency. The interior of the CX1 is simple but looks
effective. Plenty of storage throughout in the form of
cupboards and drawers, as well as a handful of USB ports. However, the thing that sets the CX1 apart
from its contemporaries is the bunk beds, both a bottom and a top. Right next to them is an even bigger bed. In terms of affordability, the CX1 from Star
Vision is the cheapest on the list at around $25,700. We swing on by our number two, and it may
just be enough to make you marvel. I'm sure the people over at Marvel RV hope
so. They proclaim themselves as a sort of treasury
of stylish and cleverly designed off-road caravans. One of those treasures happens to be the Runamuk,
which seems appropriately proficient in running in the muck! The Runamuk is a fifteen-foot-long camper
built to be a perfect middle-ground. It's able to travel where those larger caravans
can't, but without sacrificing all those creature comforts, we have come to rely on. Although this is a little heavier than other
hybrids, its thin six-and-a-half foot width makes it perfect to follow the wheel tracks
of a large SUV. With 240 watts of solar power, 200 amps of
battery power, 124L of freshwater, and 50L of grey, the Runamuk allows you to explore
nearly risk-free. When you get hungry, an external slide-out kitchen
with a hooded BBQ should take care of your needs. You still have to do the cooking, though. If you're like most people today, and the
chains of modern living hold you taut, then you crave convenience. Thankfully, Marvel RV knows this and stocked
the Runamuk with everything you could need. A large 216L fridge and freezer, full
ensuite with a separate shower and toilet, and even a washing machine make the experience
even more enjoyable. All in all, the Runamuk will cost a pretty
$54,800. If you've stuck it out this far, then you're
probably excited to see more of the off-grid tiny house from Tend Building and Architend. Tend Building is a small local business in
New York that creates artistic structures while trying to stick strictly to environmentally
responsible products. They say their designs aspire to inspire. Architend is many things, including architecture,
community design, and research and development firm. They say they are primarily focused on leading-edge,
regenerative design. Together they have channeled their powers
to make this cute stitched-together conception that I suspect will leave you either loving
it or wanting more. The Tiny Drop is both a teardrop trailer and
a tiny house. Perhaps science has gone too far, too busy
with whether or not they could instead of if they should. The result is a 150 square foot hybrid that
weighs 8,000 pounds! As someone who loves this idea, I can recognize
that it may not be for everyone. However, as you would hope, advanced home
sealing technology along with a fresh air system and a water heater does atone for a
bit. The interior also looks great, and that's
the most important part. This is where you see a lot of those recycled
materials in use from Tend Building and Architend. It just looks homey! The kitchen is simple, but it does have a
sink and a two-burner stove. A hearty chunk of countertop space is evident
as well, with a desk on the other side. A bathroom makes up the only other room inside
and with it a composting toilet and water basin. A short trip up the ladder takes you to the
bedroom loft with double skylights. The Tiny Drop is a prime example of creativity
unperturbed by restriction. Yeah, maybe it's not for everyone, but you
must admit it's a bold design to devise. If you liked what you saw here, let us know
in the comments. Which of these compact travel trailers piqued
your interest the most? Is the Tiny Drop a thing that should never
be, or is it genius in the making? We love hearing your thoughts!
