[Music] hello and welcome back to Colonial Airstream I'm Patrick Botticelli and today I'm going to take you through the all-new 2023 Airstream Caravel 16 RV now this is one of my favorite models and floor plans and if you have a favorite model or floor plan Airstream that you would like us to feature why don't you put that in the comments and maybe we will feature it in an upcoming tour this trailer is fully loaded so it has the window awning package and the solar charging system it has a 100 watt solar panel on the roof and window awnings all the way around now this trailer has a gross vehicle weight rating of 4 300 pounds and a dry weight of 3 500 pounds and a net carrying capacity this is before you put stuff in the trailer and before factory options of 800 pounds the hitch weight at the front of the trailer is 490 pounds and the trailer is 16 feet 5 inches long from the ball hole to the bumper and it's eight feet wide with a seven foot seven inch interior width the interior height from the floor to the ceiling is six feet seven inches and the exterior height is nine feet seven inches so now you kind of know the lay of the land of the weights and measures let me tell you a little bit about capacities this has a 23 gallon fresh water tank on board and it has a 30 gallon combination gray and black waste tank on board that's for your sink shower and toilet all together the air conditioner is a thirteen thousand five hundred BTU ducted with electric heat pump and it has a 12 000 BTU propane furnace and a tankless water heater on board now I'm going to start with the exterior first and then we'll go around the inside I know you guys are excited to see the inside of this trailer but there's so many cool things I want to show you on the exterior first before we dive into the details on the inside we'll start right here there's a step light on board so you can see and illuminate this area at night it has a Thule step you just push it in with your foot you can pull it out with your foot you can do it by your hand the trailer has heated tanks and a fully enclosed underbelly there's insulation before the floor and the below that floor is TransCore composite flooring so it's not plywood it's not tongue and groove plywood it's not OSB it's not particle board this is a composite floor that's going to last a really really long time at the entry door it's all extruded aluminum structure it's all TIG welded together it's got this angle here so you can take a broom and sweep any dust and debris out from the interior it has a zip D awning now we have a lot of demonstration videos on this awning I highly suggest you subscribing to the channel because we have our service tips with Joe and we go through demonstrations on a lot of things this is a manual awning has acrylic material entry doors one of my favorites you guys see it in all the videos but I gotta do it right I gotta close the door so you can hear that nice Bank fault shut it's got hinges here beautiful hinges it's got dual locks so it has a handle lock and a full deadbolt on board screen door detaches from the main door it's got six rivets on each hinge they're all stainless steel this is all TIG welded in place this slides across and fills that Gap and then on the caravel you get screen door guards now Caravel is a series of trailers series because it comes in a 16 rb4 plant a 19 CB Corner bed floor plan a 20 FB front bedroom floor plan and a 22 FB front bedroom floor plan now these floor plans are also on the Baby series which has a lower feature level at a lower price point but they are a duplicate floor plans Caravelle is your more deluxe you get a lot of extras with the caravel so we pointed out the screen door guards you get the aluminum step electric hitch Jack stainless steel wrap protectors on the front body ducted air conditioning inside 1000 watt pure sine wave inverter there's a lot of extras you get one of my favorites though is this rear panoramic window now that is super cool that's exclusive on the 16 RB Caravelle now back to the door there's a little latch here that keeps the door from swinging around on a windy day it's got a gutter rail over the door the door is fully insulated so is the trailer it's got Eagle bat insulation throughout behind the door you can see the tire rims and tires these are 225 75 R15 tires load range e and the max inflation is 80 psi the trailer also has shock absorbers each wheel and it's a rubber torsion axle with the never Lube hubs and never adjust brakes over here is an electrical outlet now this will work when you're plugged into Shore power at a campground there's heavy duty stabilizer Jacks all four corners that just prevents a trailer from rocking around when you're moving around inside also on a windy day keeps it very stable there's a tool that will show you on the other side that cranks them down there's a jack location underneath the trailer here so if you did get a flat tire needed to change your tire there is a spare tire included and they're a jack you're going to use a jack from your tow vehicle to jack up the trailer so you're going to put it where it specifically states where to put the Jack you jack up the tire and you can remove your lug nuts now if you ever remove your lug nuts it's always important very important to always check your tire pressure before you tow the trailer and your lug nut torque but if you do remove the tire and put it back on you got to check after 5 10 15 50 miles your lug nut torque so keep pulling over and checking it as you go it's a very very important thing to do LED clearance lights throughout beautiful Caravel Medallion this is the belt line where the two seams of aluminum overlap this is the rub rail where the side sheet and the underbelly meet those are all fully sealed up it's got double tail lights in the back of course they're LED polished aluminum rear bumper with bumper caps on the end to protect it this lid lifts up and this gives you access to your rear trunk space now this is not a dry storage so this is where you're going to put your blocks of wood your wheel chocks anything that touches the ground and gets dirty you might want to put back here because your trunk which is lockable you twist these things insulated fully weather sealed this is where you're going to put all your clean stuff so it comes with these bins already in here and they're pretty deep and it also has a door from the inside so you can access these bins if you need to but you can put all your clean stuff back here you could even take the bins out leave them out if you want to put bigger things in at night you could see because there is an LED light right here that lights up this whole trunk space and then there's a mat on top of the vinyl flooring all the Cabinetry if you want to come in close to this you can see this is Italian light ply wood so it's plywood it's very stable but it's also extremely light compared to like a birch four by eight sheet that you can buy at Home Depot and it's laminated on both sides so it's easy to wipe down and clean it won't absorb the moisture bracket with light another Caravan windows open right now you can see any windows that open which is two on this model the front and the back have insect screens and this one doubles as an emergency exit window awning package is a great addition really Shades the back of the trailer quite a bit you can see up above the Wireless backup camera comes with monitor we're going to see that in the inside and the clearance light so it's always important when you tow your travel trailer day or night to always have your parking lights or headlights on on your tow vehicle which will illuminate all your lights in the trailer so you're more visible it's just the most mindful thing to do that also Powers the backup camera or the driving camera so you can leave that on the whole entire time while you're driving so you can see who's behind you if you pass someone you can see and make sure you cleared them but I that's a tip that's a Patrick tip always leave your parking lights or headlights on over here is the 30 amp Shore power connection we give an adapter here to Colonial valleys you adapt your 30 amp power cord connection to a 15 amp or 20 amp outlet at your home and you can allow you to charge a trailer and use the microwave and television but uh if you plugged into a 20 amp or 15 amp outlet you may or may not be able to run your air conditioning so we always recommend if you have a 30 amp use it because you'll be able to run everything inside the trailer the power cord is I'm not going to pull it out because I don't want to reset the trailer but you twist you you pull push these in and it unlocks the power cord but you get great contact with these uh our smart plugs compared to the twist style Marine Co because what happens with those is you put the power cord in people forget to twist it and they forget to lock it and the power cord doesn't have full content and it really overheats and causes the ends to melt so this gives you full connection it's safer over here is your external cable connection at a campground and satellite connection so if you wanted to put a portable satellite you could do so over here is your 12 000 B2 propane furnace exhaust so keep this clear I wouldn't park next to uh firewood right this gets pretty hot over here is the tankless water heater so it's gas only and it's very easy procedure to winterize you don't even have to bypass this but there is some some drains and there's procedures every customer that buys an Airstream from Colonial Airstream we give you very extensive Hands-On training we teach you how everything works inside and out your trailer and we do welcome all our customers to spend the evening at our dealership after they get their training so they could try the systems out before they hit the road and go back home this is the exhaust for the water heater and never store anything here this is not a storage cabinet over here in the wheel well there's a drip tube for your air conditioning so instead of the water running down the side of the trail or leaving all weird streaks down the side it drips through a drip tube right by your tire so sometimes you might think because it lines up with some of these water connections that you have a water leak but if you're running your air conditioning it's very hot and humid out you're going to see a constant drip out of there this has a city water connection and a freshwater tank two different systems this is 23 gallons of water you could hold that in order to get that water out of the tank you turn on your demand 12 volt water pump and that will give you pressure to all your faucets this if you want to bypass the tank and hook directly up to a campground's water you could hook into here and you want to use the special hose that Colonial Airstream gives you it's uh not like a regular garden hose it looks like one I mean you screw it on here and that will give you continuous supply of water pressure to all your faucets on board it does not fill up your freshwater tank that's separate and it also has a water pressure regulator built into it so if you do get an unexpected spike in water pressure at the campground your trailer is protected this trailer has that combination gray black tank this is a black tank flush for it so let me explain down here is your sewage holding tank so it's a combination tank so it's gray and black together you got a light out here to illuminate this area take this cap off snap on the waste hose that Colonial Airstream gives you securely attached to the campgrounds connection check your gauges on the inside once you get to the point where you feel you need to empty the tank you pull this handle straight out it's a blade valve it allows the waste to flow through and empty into the campground's dump station when that's done you close it and you continue camping if you're all done you're going to pack it in you want to go home it's always best practice before you put it away after you empty the waste leave this handle open hook up a regular garden hose not the special water hose that we give you for drinking to this connection under pressure inside the tank it sprays the walls of the tank down to get rid of any residual waste so you don't have any tank odor build up let that run for about five minutes shut the water supply off then allow the residual to drain through close the wastegate put your waste hose away in the waist hose storage tube which is right here on the trailer and this will fit all together about a 20-foot hose we give you a 10 foot hose and they're expandable you could always snap on an extension if you wanted to get a full 20 feet but that's where it stores it does not store in your back bumper I wouldn't suggest putting it back there because that's for other things outside utility shower with hot and cold water hangs up over here packs up nice and neat when you're in transport but this is great because not not always you're going to be physically showering out here but there's a lot of stuff you want to might want to rinse down before you put it away and this is a great spot to do it instead of dragging it inside and do it in the shower or the kitchen sink this is the side window awning now look it doesn't just shade the window it Shades the body from cap to cap and really keeps the interior temperature down a lot cooler but this rolls up and it locks in place there's a Twist lock there there is an awning stick that comes with the trailer allow you to reach the strap and reach the lock if you need it to got two port hole Windows here cooktop ventilation over here so there's a cooktop vent on a Caravel on a Bambi they do not vent through the cooktop that through the ceiling fan when you turn on the fan these this will open a lot of the exhaust to come out when you're in transport and storage you put these little tethers on and that locks it in place so bugs don't get in your trailer freshwater tank fills over here just take the cap off stick the hose in keep it Loose keep the water pressure low allow the air to escape out of the tank once it's filled or filled to your desired height you put your cap back on and then the door closes and you can lock it with a key so no one could contaminate your water below you can see here we got another stabilizer jack here in the front corner and that really keeps this front stable this is the tool to operate it and you can if you get a three-quarter inch socket and put it on impact gun or a drill you can zip them down pretty quick now these do not level the trailer you're not lifting the trailer off the ground you're not using them to change your tire it's literally just to stabilize the trailer VIN plate with production information tire pressure lug nut torque and all that information is in your owner's manual stainless steel wrap protectors up front I mentioned it before this is a unique feature that you get on the caravel that you do not get on the Bambi but it's a little bit heavier in a trailer so people are Towing them with like bigger tow vehicles so they might cook up bigger rocks and this is going to protect the body the body's aluminum it's stretch formed aluminum this is stainless steel and it's gapped purposely check out this Gap here to allow deflection so you hit something it's not going to Dent the body behind and it's on a big hinge here and you take a nut driver you spin these off you can swing them out and you could clean behind here you got to clean this and treat it just like your car your special car that you love so much you got to wash it you got to wax it you got to take care of it but you use automotive style washes and waxes not stuff that's made specifically for RVs because most RVs are fiberglass and there's a different way you clean them versus a clear coated aluminum stainless steel Rock Arts are great to have but also the solar Stone guards that could protect the glass the glass is tinted and these are tinted so it allows the interior temperature to be a little bit cooler by having this tint it also gives you some privacy on board but this these tethers this lift out and allows you to open up the rock guard and you just Spin The knurl Knobs get it nice and even and then you can lift and open up the window from the inside always make sure when you're towing that you put this down and get it fully secured on the roof of the trailer it's gonna be hard to see but there's the air conditioning up there there's a TV antenna up there and it also gives you radio reception there's your fantastic fan there's a bathroom fan and then there's also a pre-wire cap for the Airstream connected so Airstream sells a router pep wave router that allows you to have internet on board you'd sign up with a plan get your sim card put it in we sell the routers here in our service department and the whole wiring harness is in the trailer so all we have to do is uh pull that wiring harness into the router take the cap off the roof and put the antenna up there and now you got full internet on board over here is some tools one of the tools is for your electric hitch Jack so this raises and lowers the trailer there's a light that illuminates this area so you can see at night you could take this little cap off and you can manually crank the trail up and down just in case you had battery failure the fuse blew in this people below the fuses a lot by not realizing what they're doing if you push down the motor is still spinning when you let out a button you got to wait for it to stop before you reverse directions so people press it say Oops I meant to go up and don't wait for it to stop push it up it blows the fuse fuse is in between the battery box and the hitch Jack if you don't have one handy you could always use this tool [Applause] this is like a little multi-tool which is kind of cool none of these sockets really do anything on the trailer except for this is a half inch drive so you could buy the different corresponding like 13 16 steep wall deep socket shallow wall for the lug nuts to get the lug nuts off you can buy the three-quarter inch socket to do your stabilizer Jacks if you wanted to so this is a handy tool to have inside the trailer over here is your seven-way trailer plug so this is the type of plug your vehicle is going to need and not a flat four you need the full seven way so this has your turn signals brake signal parking lights everything built in and also a 12 volt charge lead so your vehicle is going to need to be equipped with either a factory or aftermarket electric brake controller whether it's hardwired or Wireless and we do install them here at our dealership in most vehicles it's a 2 and 5 16 inch bowl and this has the Demco lock here so we give you a hitch lock that prevents this from lifting up which prevents someone from stealing your trailer you remove the hitch lock and that allows you to lift this up to allow you to connect to your vehicle we also on any vehicle that is compatible because not all vehicles are compatible we recommend a weight distribution hitch system with sway control we sell the pro Pride we sell The Equalizer and the Blue Ox here at our dealership and we love to install one for you as long as your vehicle is compatible with weight distribution there's safety change you always crisscross when you put them on your vehicle take out any slack that you have that is if the trailer ever came to detached from the tow vehicle it's one extra line of defense that prevents the trailer from coming completely loose also there's a trailer Breakaway cable that gets fully attached to between the trailer and your truck your truck's hitch receiver if the trailer ever came detached from the tow vehicle this pulls out and it activates your brakes on your trailer to prevent the trailer from passing you on the highway the most common mistake I see with this is people don't like to Loop it around the hitch so they just unpull it here and what happens is that fully activates the brakes in the trailer and will rapidly drain your batteries in about an hour or two so if you pull this out and you wonder why your batteries are dead that's exactly what happened it's not good for your magnets inside the brakes either so I wouldn't recommend trying it over here is a quick disconnect they give you a short little propane line that allows you to snap in and turn on gas for like an external low pressure Grill so it's not a long hose purposely so you don't drag it and put it underneath the awning and light a fire and cause your trailer to go on fire but it's got a regular quick disconnect there two 20-pound propane bottles come with this trailer and it's really handy because you can exchange these so it's easy to exchange bottles when you're getting fuel versus finding a place to fill up your bottles so what you do is you take this wing nut off here the bottle cover lifts completely off and uh I'll show you it's going to get a better visual now these are light so like if it's windy out don't take this thing off it's going to go flying away if you're not holding it but this is the clamp to clamps down the bottles there's regular 20 pound you unscrew here it's got a regulator that allows you to choose which bottle you're going to run from but also if both bottles are on and you start with one and one empties it will automatically switch to the next bottle for you and there's a little gauge here sight gauge that goes from green to Red if a bottle is empty over here and then behind here is the battery box so we do about 90 percent of the airstreams that are sold through Colonial Airstream people are putting lithium batteries in and AGM batteries would be the ones that would come on some trailers if you get the solar charging system so this one has the lifeline AGM batteries they're 80 amp hours apiece you can only discharge them to about 50 so you have about 80 amp hours usable for inside this trailer but if you did a lithium upgrade you for the same form factor of the battery you could get 100 amp hours per battery at about half the weight and you could use 100 percent of that battery's capacity so that means if you have 200 amp hour total batteries you could use all 200 amp hours these are 160 amp hours total but you can only use half so you have 80. but also too these batteries are 12 volt and they're wired in a parallel bottle cover goes back on which also secures your takes and prevents them from uh coming loose when you're driving and you just line everything up and then put your clamp down over here on this side I'm going to show you the external solar port so there's a solar controller on board it's a victron mppt solar controller that controls the optional 100 watt panel allows it to charge the battery they give you an external solar Port here and they give you options it's not physically connected in the inside of the trailer because some of the solar panels that you do externally would have their own solar controller built in so you'd plug that into the trailer through your connection on the inside and you can have auxiliary solar or you could do a second solar controller on the inside of the trailer or a third and you could in conjunction have them both working at the same time over here is your spare tire bracket so I'm going to spin around here pull this pin out slide this across and the spare tire drops down if you lift your electric hitch jack up high enough it will give you easier access to get to your tire underneath the trailer and that is a full-size spare same tire but it's on a steel rim not the aluminum rim pretty much wraps up the exterior tour of the trailer now we're going to walk through the interior and you'll see at the entry door there's a fire extinguisher there's also on the roof a smoke detector there's a propane leak detector on board a carbon monoxide detector there is a rear exit emergency hatch trash pail over here [Applause] and the caravel is available in one Decor but two different seating colors which are also decors this is the tungsten it's like a satin black there's also a pewter which is more of a wood tone interior seating color but everything else Remains the Same dining table here is 40 inches by 91 inches it's a huge dinette so you can actually sleep if you needed to two adults in this dinette and you get that beautiful panoramic window you've got curtains here with a black outlining built in so you get plenty of privacy if you want to sleep in you can get it pretty dark in this trailer the ceiling lights are on dimmers so you could really dim it down and get and change the mood and then it also when the awning goes out there's a light strip underneath the awning that you can illuminate that really gives it a spectacular look on the exterior and then right here by the door there's a grab handle and then there's a battery disconnect switch so I could press this button and I can shut down all the 12 volt in the trailer and the only thing left on would be the solar the propane leak detector and the electric hitch Jack see here it's all aluminum lined on the back also has a speaker over here here a subwoofer and two in the back it's got a JL audio stereo system up top here you also have HDMI connection because there's a television in the bedroom and you can plug in a Blu-ray player or a device that runs on HDMI then power it up to the TV so it's already physically connected all you need is to buy the device and an HDMI cable there's USB charge in here and there's also an inverter circuit this trailer has a 1000 watt pure sine wave inverter there's a button to turn the inverter on and off and that will power up certain outlets in this trailer for small electronic devices like a Blu-ray player like a laptop there's one underneath the dinette or something in the bedroom you just want to make sure you don't plug a toaster in a microwave a hair dryer something that has a higher output than a 1000 watt underneath the cabinet there's some reading lights just press them and you could change the direction there's a task light here with one or two elements and another light over here and then let me show you how this dinette goes down because this is this is fun actually before I do it check this out there's a little drawer here for additional storage right at the entry door so you undo the bolster cushions you lift up the bottom same thing on the other side okay then you take the table and you lift it up it comes out of some cleats in the wall the leg goes up locks in place swings down there's rubber grommets that keep it Square on the platform you reassemble your cushions these come out you can put use it as a footboard or headboard put that like that same thing on this side we're going to lay this one flat and then these just squeeze in but before I do check out the quality work that Airstream does the stitching there's zippers on them really really high density foam on the inside if you compare this with other types of RVs you're really going to see the difference in the quality in the craftsmanship there's so many human hours that go into building these trailers now you can see you can use the bolsters As a head and footboard if you needed the extra space you could tuck them underneath or you could lean them against the bat the wall and use it as like a deep Lounge area on this side we're going to lift this cushion up so you can see what's underneath this is uh the freshwater tank mppt solar charge controller AC DC distribution box the water pump there's a winterization valve there's a screen for the water pump there's also low Point drains in here so this is a service access hatch here so you don't want to store other things in there other than what it's really intended for over here we have the two burner gas cooktop and these they've got these heavy metal grates here you got the cooktop ventilation up top there's really vents outside but you want to make sure that vent is open you also have a vent here for the refrigerator cabinet this is a 12 volt compressor style refrigerator 3.1 cubic feet with a freezer on board and the door is reversible if you ever wanted to switch around but it makes sense going this way the shelves are removable you also have a contour I believe it's 0.08 cubic foot microwave on board that you have to be plugged into Shore power use you got storage below here you also have a drawer over here with a silverware organizer there's also a little tray here for additional items GFCI protected electrical outlet really nice faucet with pull out sprayer sink cover it also has this piece in the bottom of the sink so if you're putting like ceramic mugs and stuff you don't scratch the bottom of your sink Four Hole Windows have privacy Shades here these Dometic shades more overhead roof Locker storage here this is the owner's bag that comes with the trailer for all the owner's manuals smoke detector we talked about before here is your duct work so this is called a quiet stream for a reason it's really quiet compared to a central air conditioning so these are your intake rates you got to make sure you clean the lint off of them and dust off them periodically so under the screws you wash them let them dry put them back in but then it just it brings the air in and then cools it or conditions it and puts it through different vents so there's two in the bedroom and there's four up here if you want to push more air towards the back or push more air to one bent you could actually shut certain ones off you could even change the direction altogether of where the air is blowing on these vents it's pretty spectacular there's a fantastic fan this has a motorized lid variable speed control thermostat control and a full rain sensor built into it which will shut it down when it rains over here by the entry door there's a dry erase board it also has some coat hooks here and then over here if you want privacy while you're in the bedroom you could pull across a full privacy curtain and get some privacy so like when you get out of the bathroom if you want to get dressed the wardrobe's right here so they put the Privacy curtain right over here and there's a tether to keep this back over here on the wall is your sea level two tank monitoring system this allows you to monitor your battery voltage your fresh water tank capacity whatever is 23 gallons and your gray black tank capacity which is up to 30 gallons right from here and it gives you levels and percentages instead of thirds or quarters like most of the tank systems out there so you can really get a precise reading on what's in your tank you can also turn the pump on and off from here so with the pump on it doesn't mean the pump is running continuously if you have water in the tank it runs until it pressurizes system once it sees a drop in pressure and a pump will kick on and give you a continuous water flow the pump is never to be left on if you don't have water in your tank will just continue to run and burn itself out this is the victron energy solar display so that's for the solar controller we cylinder to Dyna this allows you to see your battery voltage also allows you to see how much solar you're gaining off your solar panel it's very important to clean your solar panel periodically you'd be surprised how dirty they get and how inefficient they could get when they are dirty tankless water heater by Gerard you turn the system on you set your temperature so it's not like you're setting your temperature at the faucet where you're like all right I want a little bit warm if you don't want it super hot you put it down here you can put it to 90 degrees 100 degrees 120 degrees if you're showering you set your temperature and you turn the faucets on full blast that's how they work over here is the Wardrobe so in the wardrobe there's a light so it illuminates this area so you can see better at night and there's a QR code in multiple places on this trailer and you could scan that and there's some tech support and very useful information Airstream provides in certain key areas that if you have questions you scan that you could find what you're looking for this lifts up and it gives you access to your water heater it used to be for winterization but now you don't need to bypass the water heater so it's just to get access for a technician if they need to get to it now I'm going to show you the bathroom so slide this across I know what's pretty cool like see this corner instead of like two pieces of wood button together this is extruded aluminum on the corner really ties this corner together gives it a super super cool look and when you're loading gear in and out you don't have to worry about chipping any wood there's some hooks on the back of the door I'm going to get in the shower so you can see the scale I'm five feet nine and I have boots on and the floor steps up and there's still plenty of room in here it's got a porcelain toilet on board it's a regular Foot Paddle you just push partially and that will fill the bowl up with water to whatever height you decide to you push it all the way that will flush the toilet and that dumps into that combination tank and so does the shower drain now we'll go into the one spot there's a shower curtain that pulls across and comes all the way down to seal this area off so there's a medicine cabinet in here with adjustable shelves there's also the fan you push up push the button up there we go and that vents outside so it's always best practice to have something else open a window or something to allow the air to flow through the top of the door is gapped to allow some air into this cavity when you're showering shower one hangs up here in the wall it also has a pause feature so once you get your temperature set you want to like lather up and save water you could pause it up there instead of shutting it off down there you got some cutouts here for soap conditioner there's a toilet paper holder which is water resistant this shower curtain pulls across this whole side and covers this wall you got a privacy shade so no one can see what you're doing in here and then there is a clothesline that pulls across and you can hang things up in your light items in this compartment here and lock it in place when you're done with this cavity there's plenty of Elbow Room plenty of space this is perfect I mean it works perfect for me some people want a dry bath so that's what the 19 and up have dry bass in the bedroom there's a separate ceiling light control back here and there's also [Applause] if you come way back there's also the Dometic HVAC control the Comfort Control Center so this allows you to control your air conditioning which would be three different fan speeds and auto setting select your temperature on board you can change from Fahrenheit to Celsius you could see what your inside temp is which is 69 right now you can also change the mode from Air Conditioning to Fan only if you just want the fan inside the air conditioning to run you can change the mode to electric heat pump it's a if it's above 42 degrees you could use electric heat pump built into the air conditioning the heat inside of the trail really takes the chill out or you can change the mode and you could go to mode we turned on the air conditioning you could you change the mode furnace and set your temperature there and the furnace itself is 12 volt blower and uses propane as its fuel source you could change the clock and set a program in here too and this trailer it even though it says Zone this is a one zone trailer but trailers with two air conditioners have two zones this is how you turn on your inverter system you press the button here and you wait about 10 seconds you'll hear a beep and that will power those inverter only circuits there's USB charge ports at the head of the bed there's even a clothes hamper over here at the head of the bed full blackout privacy curtains some more reading lights you got two now look at this big window pull this cord out here only for emergencies if you need to climb out the window if for some reason that front door is blocked red handles to indicate emergency exit on this side there's another clothes hamper traditional storage televisions on articulating arm and I can swing it all the way around so I can watch it from the dinette and next to it on the wall is an HDMI connection there's a cable connection an inverter circuit the television itself runs on 12 volts so you don't need to have your inverter on to run the TV and there's a locking arm so when you're towing this TV is not dancing around back here and this mattress I won't put my shoes on it I swear this mattress is 48 by 78 inches long it's plenty of room and you can tuck in pretty good two full-size adults could definitely sleep on this mattress I've been selling hairstreams for over 20 years and I've sold so many 16-foot trailers to people families of two families of four and they make it work and they love it it's spectacular you don't need a super huge truck to pull this thing you can get away with some of the mid-size SUVs to pull this trailer which is very practical for so many people overhead roof Locker storage over here I just have the bed pillows stored in this compartment here and one more thing one more area underneath the bed there is the fuse panel fuse Breakers so this has your 12-volt fuses and your AC fuses for your electrical outlets and your microwave also has an onboard battery charger so when you plug into Shore power you could charge your batteries on board whatever Battery Technology you decide on and then there's a pass through to get to the trunk so if you wanted to grab one of these containers and bring it inside you could do so right from an inside and then there's also the furnace here which blows the hot air into the trailer but also heats the tank down below and you can see the mattress here this is a pillow top memory foam mattress like a residential Style on a platform here well I hope you guys enjoyed the tour of the all new 2023 Airstream Caravel 16 RB here at Colonial Airstream the MSRP of this trailer is 80 500 which includes the two factory options 100 watt solar
