hey what's going on guys my name is Antony and today I'm going to be bringing you all a video about the Forgotten version of Minecraft so the Forgotten version of Minecraft I'm going to be talking about in this video is version beta 1.9 now beta 1.9 was released as a pre-release version on September 22nd 2011 for players to download but it was never officially added to the by craft launcher now I've actually managed to get hold of beta 1.9 and in this video today I will be showing you all some unique features that are only within this version features that were added and removed in this version some interesting facts about beta 1.9 itself and much much more now if you guys do enjoy this video then be sure to give this video a like rating as it's going to help me out a huge bunch but anyways without further ado let's go ahead and get straight into this very interesting video I hope you all enjoy it the first feature I'm going to be talking about in beta 1.9 is the Sun so we all know what the Sun looks like in Minecraft today it's just a yellow ish square that rises in the east and sets in the west however in a beta 1.9 pre-release for the Suns appearance was actually changed from being Square to having a more rounded look to where as you can see on screen now in beta 1.9 pre-release 6 the sun's appearance was changed back to being square shaped again but I think it's very interesting that beta 1.9 is the only version of Minecraft where the sun's appearance has actually been changed which appearance of the Sun do you guys prefer do you prefer the Sun in beta 1.9 or the Sun we have in Minecraft today let me know in the comment section below the next feature I'm going to be talking about art the way potions were made in the beta 1 point 9 update so in beta 1.9 pre-release 2 cold runes were added and they were originally used for the creation of potions to make potions with cold rooms that just simply fill the cold room with water and then apply the potion ingredient of your choice to the water by right-clicking on it this would cause the water to change to a differently colored lava texture as you can see on screen which looks really cool not gonna lie so for example if you wanted to make a fire resistance potion you just simply apply a magma cream to the water and then just scoop out the potion with a glass bottle very simple however minecraft developer Jeff thought the culture in a potion system was too complex and not user-friendly for players and replaced the cauldrons ability to brew potions with brewing stands which is what we use in Minecraft today the end portal was added in the Forgotten that beta 1.9 update but not as one might expect as they looked completely different in this version so in beta 1.9 pre-release 3 end portal frames originally looked like this having a light blue texture with transparent patches some of the end portal frame blocks also looks like this having a cracked texture to them which look very weird not gonna lie now these were actually the end portal blocks that hadn't yet been repaired by an eye of ender and you could simply change them into a full block by using well an eye of ender as demonstrated on screen now in this version if you were to repair all the end portal blocks with eyes of ender nothing would actually happen as the end dimension was not yet added into the game this was because at the time in beta 1.9 pre-release 3 the sky dimension was going to be the original dimension for the player to enter now you could actually play a test build of the sky dimension on a beta 1.9 pre-release 3 multiplayer server as you can see on screen but it is a little bit buggy not gonna lie however once a beta 1.9 pre-release 4 was released for download at the end dimension was added to the game and the end portals texture was completely revamped and changed to how it looks today which meant players could now access the end dimension by simply using the end portal while we're on the topic of the end I mentioned the next feature that was introduced in beta 1.9 was the ender dragon so the ender dragon was added in base of 1.9 pre-release 4 however it had not been enabled in-game yet so when players entered the end in this version they were only greeted by Enderman and not the scary dragon boss which is a little bit disappointing now in beta 1.9 pre-release 5 the ender dragon still didn't spawn in-game but players could spawn it in by using mods as you can see on screen the funny thing is that the end at RIKEN in a base of 1.9 pre-release 5 only had half a heart worth of health so the player could literally just kill it by punching it the other funny thing is that players who spawned the team by using a mods could spawn more than one dragon so it just looked absolutely crazy I mean just look at all the dragons oh my god in the next part of this video I'm going to tell you guys some interesting debug features that were in version beta 1.9 now the first debug feature was in a beta 1.9 pre-release 3 and this feature was the natural generation of one by one glass pillars that protruded from the ground all the way up to the sky limit now these glass pillars were actually in the game to mark the locations of strongholds so whenever you encountered these glass pillars just simply dig down from one of them and you'll find a stronghold the second debug feature was in beta 1.9 pre-release 5 and this feature allowed the player to change the positioning of the camera in a variety of ways now I am warning you all now it looks extremely weird and you guys will be like what on earth is going on so if you guys were to press the keyboard letters Y M & H you'll notice that the camera of my game is going extremely out of control I mean just look at it yz4 going on it's just such a weird funny and awesome debug feature in my opinion I mean I'm just a bit lost at this point look at my camera the funny thing about this is that I don't even know how to put my camera back to normal it just remained like this I had to close the game to fix it the third and final debug feature was in beta 1.9 pre-release one and this feature was that the player would actually gain experience points whenever they jumped yep you guys heard me correctly jumping would give you XP how cool is that I don't know I'm probably the only one that finds that cool because I'm just extremely lame honestly despite base at 1.9 being the lost update this was actually the version in which the popular village mob was added into the game now when they were first added in a beta 1.9 pre-release a1 you can see that they actually had a testificandum tag above their head which looks a little bit strange but yeah this is sort of proof that they were added in the beta 1.9 update and not minecraft 1.0 the final thing I want to mention in this video is that beta 1.9 was the update that introduced the feature of pressing f5 twice which would switch the camera to the front of the player before this update pressing f5 only displayed a third person from behind the player so it's pretty awesome that they introduced the concept of seeing the player from the front in beta 1.9 but anyways that just about concludes today's video about the Forgotten version of Minecraft everybody I really hope you all enjoyed it and all found it informative now if you guys want me to make more videos like this then be sure to let me know in the comments below and also leave a like rating to show your support and feedback now as always if you guys want to play on my minecraft server that the IP is pal a dot idea see hubnet but anyways I'm going to go now everybody because I'm just a little bit thirsty honestly I need a bit of a drink but sir I'm really proud with how this video turned out honestly and it was nice to try something a little bit different than a top ten video I mean it's still sort of was a top ten video in a sense but I don't know it was a different style that I was going for and I quite liked it so I really hope you all enjoyed this video and I'm going to go now and as always thank you for the amazing support and I'll see you all in my next video goodbye Casey is a legend [Music] [Music]
