I always put it on the wheel and then kind of a slap standard adjusted so making the cylinder so always we were talking about three SS right speed the spinning speed of the wheel and the movie speed of your hand needs to go together and then I slippery so constantly you want to make sure that several celebrate before you need to move and the third one is finding support they all start with this speed speed control slippery support support you can find sound that that's past 30 years but to brace your arms together okay so that's three SS and then first I usually have my finger there to kind of seal it the bottom corner so that the water doesn't get underneath and then a force centering I usually turn my wheel up it a bit faster not super fast but hundred percent I will ever said about that maybe 75% of it faster but not super fast and then I'm gonna squeeze the clay using three-point day one two three three point one point here one point here and the third point is gonna be my right fingertips create a but try and give a shape and then squeeze the clay coming up a little bit you see that when I'm doing a bracelet on here right and then after I move it up I have to uh I don't usually go sky-high and then try to push it down I don't do that way and get a bit water and then move my left I'm here up and then kind of a connect both hands together steal my right hand sprays in here and the fingertip there to hold the clay and squeeze it down and push and I'm pushing from the top and then my hand is gonna move down this way so I would have a cone shape when I'm moving now when we're done the right hand is not moving at all I've got in the clay me into the cone shapes I don't usually like to make the top flat a lot of people doing this doing that to make the top flat I don't do that because when the time is right and you're ready to push it up up again don't have a volcano there so I don't usually like to do it that way so I use it comb make it a comb so pushing it down [Music] you see my right-hander Gaiden he said that the fingertip I was talking about you start to adjust it it's very powerful material fingers Britany garden center so one more time - I ain't gonna shave excellent knot of my finger - yeah that's the that more efficient way to have transferred your powers the poem pressure less instead of using this part you losing a lot of effort by trying to push the clay around so I use the tip of the fingers to do if you look playing how to the right hand and the right hand is very steady the claisen know where to go so that's the second process and then once I have a center I know right and then I'm ready to open the hole you carry I will use my thumb to make a small cut again finding suppose so put the hand on the side of it and using my right thumb my left thumb is kind of a supporting to squeeze it down this way helping my right thumb and my right thumb is connecting here that help out here so what I'm doing it I'm still controlling the wall right so that's a cop talking about and slippery again make sure it's slippery before you each move right and then still come back in here I'm gonna drill more so I'm gonna use my left hand there to help to dig it in and really drill it in but in the meantime one Montreal this hand isn't loose right so you want to find in the support so I'm brazing with him connecting my left hand to my right hand and my right hand is connecting to the breath splash pan and also I'm using my left here to support it so go and drill it in right in the meantime I am still compressing the wall keep on going until I reach about 5:16 okay somewhere between quarter inch and 3/8 of each [Music] if you're not sure that you can stop the wheel and check it out if it's a needle tool right just go there can you fingertip there to hold it and got it so this is the power the thickness I'm looking for okay now it's when I'm journey see that the shape inside looks like this like a v-shape but if you're making a cylinder you want to build up the flow all like a u-shape so you wanna Oh spread it out using the finger tip and bring it the clay okay spread out all my right hand [Music] you can go back there and compress a couple of times for the bees you see that I'm making a small indent indentation the fingertip I'm moving in there are indentations so later on I'm gonna bring the clay from there from come again couple of times right so at the beginning we're talking about the ninety seventy five percent of the full power right opening and now I'm ready to brace up slow down this beautiful we all okay I will set about like 60 percent fifty percent and then since my clay is quite thick here so I'm going to raise up just by lifting it the other hand is supporting it I'm basically using the inside hand to the lifting the outside hand is just supported so use the things I hand and do the heavy lifting and make sure the wars get in there slowly so you see the wall is thinner right it's not as that stickers it used to be you can do one more time because since in the bottom you know to have a lots of clean air I can spread out button and while a little bit more slippery right I'm gonna raise it again using the tip and you can see that my hand motion is always low on the slip back to work and let's look back to work here so you see that I don't squeeze a lot of water the water doesn't stick on the surface it's the slip that stick to the surface so you make it slippery using you remove the slip from your fingertips okay then when having ready to raced up I usually like to give myself a little narrow so that will be race it up higher first I'm getting this corner using this fingertips bring it in so you're squeezing squeezing squeezing the bottom and the bottom gets him there on colouring [Music] so the purpose of the colouring in at this point is to maintain the shape maintain the shape the dedicado wanted color in your piece is gonna increase the hang of it it will well you push the clay down gets higher gets higher and then you pull it up and if you thin it you're getting wider and then Chloe that's how you get it increased the high okay little by little yeah so that's a really critical step oh yeah slippery and now you've shown you that the thumb met there right yeah extend the thumb I'm here okay facing you know get right and the middle finger there to point it to your thumb but relax your wrist like that so that I'm connecting my elbow to my body right so when I'm raising it up just like that I can lean your body to the forward if you go like that you really can hurt yeah yes it's gonna be sore but even anybody then see that the thumb is point done so you want a thumb point down and then more or less this parts holding the side of the cylinder gun pointing down but no thumb point down okay right and now I'm racing the wall using my fingers inside so you're in your middle finger is pointing towards your thumb yes let me move it up hey that's that the thumb and the middle finger and actually can see that all the fingers get into work but it's just that the thumb is pointed to the middle finger but all your finger is moving are working yeah it's working inside but waiting to your middle finger is maintaining the correct position mm-hmm in contrast the room so you see that I'm moving you see all the gap all the distance the same means that my moving mine and consistent according to the spirit where you have a whole whole circle and then we move up all circle Moomba whole sigourney mover consistent the next move again before I do that slippery ok make it smaller [Music] so by colouring you make it in a little bit taller come past it on the slip back to work to work then let's do the lifting again slippery thumb and the fingers inside when you can come back you see that my left I missed once I bumped at the top my son is going out and connecting my dragon putting it up all the way come again right now you can also if the table is getting too thick you can go back there and just focus the top just do the top just do the top yeah you don't need to always bring them bring the clay from the bottom you can focus here right now pinch it you see that I'm stabilizing my thumb get the index finger there and just go on lift in from there to thin down the top I increase the height I guess Emma [Music] the slipper to work remove the slip from fingertips put it back inside hold it on the inside before he tore up again you know make sure it's slippery everywhere everywhere either we clean the bottom corner you can always lift it in you don't waste too much cleaning about it slippery let's live you put it here right once it feel kind of not enough just you've got a little spot there right breathe squeeze it and and you see that why I have this this my finger inside is pushing it all and the thumb is underneath so you see that I have lots of this when I'm moving up so I can move a lot of clay a lot of momma clay and cluster so push it off and the thumb is underneath yeah move it up that's why keep the rim a bit smaller [Music] the hope is still restrict alright okay slippery again and you see that my son there is narrowly just my arm can go in there now that's all you're gonna make it wider yeah keep it now let's do the final Lipton pretty right so this is we call throw it to the limit of the clay when you pull it out the rest of you see that this part start to get wobbly yeah that means clay is thin so you wanna keep on pulling if you keep on pulling you will enter a school class yeah that's the code we push it to the limit of the clay and then from this point you can stretch it out to make you shake okay so I usually use the rope to a compressed it compress and get rid of all the throat mark okay so this is what I usually call in it this way pushing the clay onto my room and I'm stretching a little bit so you see all the throw a monkey skull and when you are using the rib no water that oh yeah see that I don't put the water on to the surface moisture on the clock yeah and they're too slippery laughs so the slowly increase the cylinder expand a little bit now on your fingertips on the RHIB are they when you're inside you show me I'm worried the fingertips would be in relationship to okay so the rib is the little forces right here in this part here so the inside fingertip is pushing that like the Li I'm using this part how psychic guided it's pretty just a very kind of a small area boy area water yeah yeah unless you want to keep it straight then yeah hold it straight but actually you see the it's a curve in the line so it's I mean one point there's a curve right on this straight line right so kerbin nine is on one point No you want to do this slowly when you watch shaping you see the one am i shaking I didn't even touch the top keep the top thick I'm small yeah you can do whatever one you've gonna close it you still have some clay there Jim crows but being a racer little bit taller that's the wooden rib and then the final shaping I usually used my metal one so that you have a nicer curve it maybe panic here I like to expand a little bit more [Music] but before I do further there's a little slip inside you can remove it now so once this is opening big enough just getting him there you don't even have a stick and bass punch to go they throw it alright so that's when you do it when the opening is still wide enough okay let me explain a little bit more so that we can see how the crepeyness stretch so I totally change the shape a smaller base and most of it there now smaller like stretch it out can't go back there see that when you are shaping you I said it's not always focused on your rib okay your eyesight is casting that the curb that you know you need to see we just finally to come out a little bit more so it's the curb the father curve that's when you are shaping right so you take care take care of all the base and then you do the top the final step for the ignition for the top I will probably since I still have enough clay on the top so I will try to make it smaller okay it's more opening it's little bit challenging not when you have a large opening and then you want to shrink it yeah it'll be challenged because first you need to have enough clay there to work with right and then the shoulder here you don't be too much of a horizontal way yeah so you have a little bit more this way so when it close it doesn't collapse yeah usually people when they try to strength make it smaller it collapse because this part is too much of horizontal yeah so before I close it I properly don't want on this part too much horizontal so I will I'll push it up a little bit on the shoulder and then at this point I don't usually like to use this six point or whatever to color in I kind of before the clay told us inner little bit here in the clay she'll or the center and with the fingers the fingers they're in cycle Stockport this part here this pilots ug gets wobbly while I'm pulling it so put the finger there to support it I'll use my thumb you simple thumb it's doing the chap - you want to play toward the center so you're not really pulling you're just pushing pushing yeah pushing it yeah then using the clay to go there so you won't be this motor it'll support the finger needs to support the shoulder using the thumb chain move the clay toward the center okay and before I close further I want to give this prop to follow the curve the whole curve so like open there slightly out move it in and then open up a little bit so that structurally I have a support sometimes I'd like to have a little line area and can compress down so the ring would be a bit thicker we use the curved little curve here [Music] life [Music] over there come again and you see that I take my time to make the yeah usually when I'm lifting and pulling it's probably one third of my time but 2/3 of my time is shaking yeah yeah final product yeah so and then ever that trim the bottom corner that I told you holding it like a pencil and then technique time slowly [Music] you hit the bed in the back pull out my tool and this can be in the buddy [Music] the courage they see the tip of the needle of the wheel the bet get off so I can remove it from the wheel sitting on the back right so that's the this is about four pound I was a full polymer clay it's really the beginning and you finish up slowly yeah let's cut it open okay the bottom usually it's a little bit uh little bit thicker let me erase it up so you can see the inside of that the wall okay so it's very evenly dispute except for the very bottom I'm very bad and you need to have some kind of a supporter so it would be a bit thicker and you were going to trim it later on so just remove little bit clay from the base and then you cut that's thirty seven years of experience you
