$30,000 Scammer Accomplices Confronted (with Police)

since I've been doing scam baiting for the past 11 months there are many things I've learned and many different scams I've come across I've seen how desperate the scammers are for their victims money and while I understand that there are many social factors that play into the desperation which is really another topic entirely and stand by the belief that regardless of a thief's circumstances stealing from innocent victims is wrong I've learned that there are many elements of the types of scams I deal with usually there's an innocent non tech savvy victim and eager predator in a technology able to be easily misused recently I've discovered another element of a scam and it's one that worries me even more than the others I've mentioned this element is that of the accomplice or if not an outright accomplice then a person indirectly involved who does nothing to stop the scam and passively allows it to continue this video delves into the question of what makes someone complicit in a scam does someone have to lie and steal from a victim on the phone or in person in order to be a scammer or does looking the other way even if they don't directly profit from the scam make someone just as guilty as the scammer on the other end of the phone call I don't know the answer to this question I just know that we've uncovered something disturbing in human behavior here hopefully bringing what we discovered to light as I hope we've done in this video will help start us to a path to a resolution to this growing problem well what an interesting stream that what has [Music] been would have put money on it being a scammer at the door yeah I was convinced I still have chills thinking about it and when I you know saw the victims face for the first time when you guys are telling her the truth it was one of the most groundbreaking things it was unbelievable again literally chills if this is happening to one lady in California this is happening to hundreds of thousands more and and these guys are making an enterprise out of it and that's why it really pisses me off that's why I'm here today I guess to super fired up I know you guys are fired up about it too so with that being said since video was I've got double trouble for you now here so not not only do we have one address we have two addresses keep the water cooler okay they can handle one these scammers yeah oh yeah the information go figure it out right so this actually is you know still kind of the same scam and its really interesting too that these scammers are focusing in on like thirty thousand dollars well it's whatever - the refund you know that together and if you all this the first time you're seeing some of these videos the refund scam just really high level the scammer calls you up say that they're going out of business they owe you $300 for computer services they connect to your computer they might if you let your bank account and they say that they actually put too much money into your bank account so what happens is sometimes they transfer money between accounts if you have enough or else they just manipulate the webpage this scammer actually did that and against you a fake bank account that I've had created they did the same thing and they want essentially thirty thousand dollars yeah so am i checking cuz I had over two hundred thousand in my checking yeah it looks like part is they want two different packages so sometimes the scammers will split it up if it's a big enough bounty they want to split up into packages to different locations you know I'm just to stay off of the trail of any you know mail fraud and things like that but I'm hoping and begging we could team up again pretty please with a cherry on top and go after these guys whoever maybe because I don't think it's a victim this time I truly think it's a scammer what do you think you just write down my cell phone number mum because nowadays you know that there are many scams and all that are going on way so that it doesn't gets out right mom and once you get that box ready you can send it with the help of FedEx or with the help of UPS I just got a photo of that cash which you showed you withdraw cash there was a statement correct of you pulling out the cash 29600 you saw that correct yes so I just got the photo of it and that would be avenged evidential that yes you have the cash okay okay crazy things I actually searched this address and they came up on a scammer you know a scam dating website as a as a social security scammer and one of the addresses that people send money to so this has been used before that's the creepy part and putting a chill up my spine right now because this address has been used before by scammers okay so when they want you to take money out they call up a third party person and say hey where can we have this money sent to they have a list of people they call them up make sure they're ready to go so I'm supposed to be sending them 30,000 in cash at these two different locations and then they're gonna launder the money overseas 30 15 and 15 yeah split up so the interesting thing too about this a lot of times a lot of you send to houses and this is again I think it's kind of creepy going to like it one of those mailbox things with like all the little you know little tiny mailboxes everywhere so this is where it's going to so it's essentially kind of like a p.o box address that you're going to you're not going to a physical house you're going to two different like yeah post office type but he's a package in the floor decision and yeah it's doesn't constitute harassment yeah he never said hey can you leave it's no and gladly talk to the cops he's in for all we know seriously you know what this whiskey knows that somebody is using heels you know evening that mailbox okay called work so he's like I'm aware it's gonna be a problem I don't watch this fall to be my story being involved terminating it's not actually what I told my brother was like listen you've law enforcement not allowed to have anything because there's no scammers at least we can bring your report bring police like physically if you'll never like okay if police got involved this guy because of this guy I don't want to have this in my in my DNA on it great though he's gonna present that to himself a guy goes the police game these meetings are evidence we're good yeah we we had an amazing time with cops the police officers everything is good the owner of a box of that store is not pressing any charges he was like look they not even he said when he made a police report Monica called police he said they they not harassing me the owner know that there is a lego a criminal activities in his business and he said he took our business card from police and he said he were he gonna kick this gamer out from the gear box or he not gonna renew when the renewal times comes so at least our scammers got to move from this direction and find another way to scan people so we're like basically cutting the tie the the juicy location for them you know what I mean yes we explained everything but the problem is is that because the package was sent from someone who's only pretending to be a victim there's no crime committed in that sense yet so they can there's no evidence of an actual you know the victim in this case so if they can't do anything about it I think probably Brown into doesn't lead us my friends may be waiting in the car we're in a bigger issue which is a criminal renting one of your boxes and we wanted to let you know about it if you have one out of the information we have everything we have this guy is a scammer in prison and he's expecting a package today or tomorrow we're hoping no I don't like what you guys doing and he offers to me that he needed help so I gave my best and now we saw appreciative yeah but do you and you you're overlooking your problem really call police we came just from another clear box 30 minutes ago we're not law enforcement maybe you have the information we don't need information we're dependent independent filmmakers we have a YouTube channel we educate people who are not to fell for this camera and they're using the location to scam people that's what we're trying to bring because I just told you three times we have the proof if you want us to go he said the bucks do you listen boys you want us to go we're gonna go we're not here to cause problems okay you will you so you're turning down the information that you have an international stammering so you don't want to know about your scam or criminal clients well if they're using your business I would love to know about it if I know we're a policeman car with a badge show me what you have or else I don't believe anybody's information whatever you recording it's also you are not right show me why you feelin no we're not gonna do that look we not came to cause a problem there is illegal activities for some scamming elderly people we were that's very sad but they don't seem to care about you're more concerned about a phone charger you can find us look.we you can find us we we not share - hi we're here to protect you and your boss
