today we're starting off our review a little bit differently without wasting any of your time I know what you want to know so let's just start with the part you want me to start with [Music] well done Naval well done I'm giving a violin Ellie well done because a lot of cars these days barely make any sounds at all so this this is a plus they want me over the review can stop here I'm good but I still have to tell you about other things I know you all want to know about the fuel consumption so guess what I'm not even going to make you wait if you put this car in race mode these are the figures you will see no no not the 10.7 10.7 liters per hundred is when you drive it in normal mode 12.9 is what you get when you're driving around in race mode you're paying for it 10.7 is when you're back to normal so you know the fuel consumption you know it has a loud exhaust let's kick off the review so without making any assumptions for those of you who don't know the haval 86 GT is actually based on the haval H6 so you might ask yourself why buy the gtu over the H6 reason number one this the Lamborghini Urus for whatever every reason when people see you now Val A6 GT they just feel like calling it to euros and I take that as a compliment because look at this thing there's actually a bit of a similarity there if you didn't see it feel free to rewind and check it again but if for some reason you don't have 8 million Rand in your account or you cannot afford an installment of 156 000 Rand for six years at 12 interest you can simply get yourself the haval 86 GT you'll keep the compliments and save yourself 7.4 million Rand a quick look into the interior and you'll notice the A6 GT looks just about as good inside as it does outside you have a 12.3 inch infotainment screen with Apple carplay and Android auto over there I will shortcut buttons I'm going to talk more about those a little bit later to change your gears you have that wheel over there so keep that away from the kids and that is your electric handbrake those are your cup holders for when you need to rest your arm you have a decent prop Center armrest inside the armrest plenty of storage space to hide some important things just beside the steering wheel you'll notice there is a lever I'm holding that lever is to adjust your adaptive cruise control more on that later as well pedal shifts just behind your steering wheel end you get electrically adjustable front seats nice and quiet so as I'm recording this voice over I'm sitting in a car with manually adjustable seats and this is what they sound like [Music] So yeah thank you raval for the electric seats on both sides now let's get to driving the H6 GT has a two liter turbocharged engine which produces 155 kilowatts and 325 newton meters of torque claim fuel consumption by the way is 8.4 liters to the 100 but you won't get that anyway the haval H6 GT has a number of different driving modes but I mostly had it in normal and in race mode I used to think snow mode was useless but just the other day of snowing so you never know but in normal mode you will notice the turbo leg a bit more in race mode is when the car really comes alive as you can see it's even a bit red to show you your petrol is evaporating there but race mode is the way to go from the way it changes gears even to the noise it makes it gives you the impression that the car is moving much faster than it's actually going and if you're moving fast you'd like to know if you're doing so in safety but before I tell you about the safety features let's take a quick look at the back seats you know in case you have friends or children who need a ride plenty of leg room plenty of new room you have rear events you know it gets pretty cold these days you have two USB ports at the back and for whomever is sitting in the back seat don't stress you have a proper armrest to rest your arm if you have drinks you've got two cup holders as well now if the driver is accelerating in race more you've got grab handles if you're tall plenty of Headroom as well everything is thought of practical car speaking of practicality PA has been using her suitcases lately guys I apologize but that's me to illustrate how big the boot is you've got a light you've got a 12 volt socket as well I didn't cross those marks on the wheel Arch I found them there okay anyway right underneath you have your spare wheel as Chiro One said it is a ling long spare wheel but that's the brand name of the spare wheel you also have a fire extinguisher also put back your load cover and you'll be happy to see that you have a proper electric tailgate let's wait for it to close waiting waiting where you'll see the name haval A6 GT four-wheel drive yes it's a four wheel drive car but wait let me quickly show you something important [Music] sorry about that I just wanted an excuse to put in that scene anyway so you have a 360 degree view camera and major props to have out because that video quality is excellent you'll see it as clear as day you won't have any issues reversing in and out of parking spots and when you're done reversing the camera will even switch to show you the front view as well on top of all that you also get front and rear packing sensors speaking of sensors the car will also let you know if there's someone approaching you from your Blind Spot while we're here let's also discuss night driving as we all know we have this thing called load shedding so the roads are pretty dark but don't stress have output in proper light in this car you'll see exactly where you're going but what I really want to show you is that head up display it shows you exactly where you're going and gives you all the information you need and as I mentioned earlier you get an adaptive cruise control system in your Avail H6 GT which also comes with Lane kit assist this is a video of what that looks like basically the car helps you steer to stay in Lane but you have to keep your hands on the steering wheel otherwise the car will complain you also have autonomous emergency braking and it comes with six airbags by the way if you haven't liked please like if increased in price recently when I last reviewed it it was 629 950 Rand and recently the price went up to 642 550 Rand but don't worry about that price I'll tell you why at the end of this part on finance it will cost you 12 562 Rand over 6 years at 12 interest and a full tank will be roughly 1 348 Rand at the current petrol price and if you got an insurance premium of 2 300 Rand it would bring your total cost of ownership to sixteen thousand two hundred and ten Rand so the reason I said don't worry too much about the price is because you can get a 2023 demo model with 1 300 kilometers for 570 000 Rand and if you want one with even less mileage than that here's another example going for under 600 000 Rand so I'm guessing even on a new model if you walk into a haval dealership they might be willing to negotiate and you could get a discount on your Havana H6 GT let me know how it goes and before I forget as you know I name all my test cars so I've decided to name this one Eunice if you don't get it forget about it the haval A6 GT comes with a five-year 60 000 kilometer service plan and for some added peace of mind it comes with a five-year 100 000 kilometer warranty and for those of you who own haval's please share your ownership experience in the comments below what you've been experiencing in terms of the service the parts the vehicle itself just to help the next person person who's interested in buying into the brand which brings us on to our closing segment the good and the bad let me start with the things I didn't like there were only two number one fuel consumption especially in race mode it is a bit thirsty my advice if you want to say if you'll let the pumps get yourself that H6 hybrid it's excellent number two the infotainment system everything is hidden in the infotainment system because it's cold in the mornings you might want to warm yourself up using your heated seats but to do that you have to go into the infotainment system if you want to change the temperature on your aircon controls you have to go into the infotainment system as well and adjust it from there which is a bit difficult especially while you're driving it's a similar situation with the driving mode as well if you want to change them you have to go into the infotainment system which takes a bit of time especially while you're driving so those are my only two complaints in terms of what I love well I love almost everything starting with the price because at that price yeah actually carrying a lot for your money no optional extras everything comes as standard you've got a sunroof you've got adaptive cruise control you've got Lane care persist you've got a 360 degree view camera rain sensing wipers blind spot monitoring a heads up display autonomous emergency braking and and the list goes on so it's a very generous offering from haval and one more thing I love foreign [Music] yes they exhaust and I'm genuinely looking forward to saying that the tank very
