Suzuki has finally done it they've given us a fiveo jimney welcome to the Suzuki jimney fiveo special in this review I'm going to climb the chimney and then I'm going to drive it on some sand very dramatically before driving it on some portles very dramatically we drive into a swamp and then drive over some rocks and then we drive it over some dust I'm going to shake the jimney for no apparent reason and then we're going to give this donkey some water because we're people after doing some Community work I spotted a jimney on a mountain then decided to climb a mountain I immediately questioned My Life Choices now to those of you who see a G Wagon in the jimney is the same thing I have nothing else to say to you ladies and gentlemen as I step into this tent allow us to step into this review and let us get started so we kicked off the trip by flying over Tamba shout out to all the locals in tamisa we then landed in buan had a nice warm reception woke up the next day and we're ready for a road trip to Botswana as the gymy start moving please use this opportunity to take a look at all the colors that are available you see that green one over there the one you would call lime well Suzuki says no that is not lime that is kinetic yellow and it is my favorite color because it stands out on your screen right now are the names of some of the colors that you'll get on the fiveo jimney moving on so as we started our road trip in I was eager to see how this car drives around town because the jimney is actually an off-roader I knew the majority of the launch would focus on off-roading and we'll get to that but while we're here out on the road let's talk about the engine now anyone can guess what engine is here you already know if you are thinking it's a 1.5 L petrol yes you're correct it is the 1.5 L petrol engine that Suzuki puts in everything tried and tested reliable but but the downside it only produces 75 KW and 130 new M of torque so what does that mean well if you're overtaking you need to plan each overtake need to build up speed and then you go for it alternatively maybe Suzuki could one day look into taking the 1.4 L Tabo in the Swift spot and putting it in the jimney but if they did do that just bear in mind it would change the price I can already see people complaining in the future ah over 500,000 for a jimney so they give you the 1.5 so it's a little more affordable so we had our first stop in a town called Vivo as soon as we got out of the car I was thinking ha the heat it's hot there whoever stays in Vivo and is watching this channel I respect you wow it's hot anyway we got some buong and we got back on the road as we're driving allow me to quickly show you the interior of this car very important for you to know the seats are not height adjust adustable so just keep that in mind so this is the overall layout of your interior you've got your steering wheel your 7in enertainment system and I'll come back to all that a bit later first shout out to everyone in Old Days um as we drove through old days we're getting closer to bwana and getting closer to heat H it's hot guys in fact when I got there this was my reaction hot H this place is hot anyway this other J it's hot it's hot anyway after the short break we did a driver change and continued onto the Border as you can see the car we're looking at right now the lights are a bit yellow so that's the entrylevel GL model the top spec GLX models get proper LED headlights the K at the very back has them as you can see they're very different from the ones in front eventually we got to the the Border where you do border things so we had to park and stop recording so we'll pick up after all the Border stuff is done so before leaving the Border I decided to take a quick video to tell you about the entry-level GL model I was driving this specific red car but because of the heat I that video didn't really make much sense if you're curious to see it here it is can finished at the border and we were well on our way even though we had already been driving for hours it didn't feel like the journey had started until we got to Botswana so ladies and gentlemen this is where the review starts all that was just an introduction so the Suzuki jimney is actually a part-time four-wheel drive car with a low range transfer case now I know I'm saying a lot of buzzword just know it's mostly on two wheel drive and then when you want you can switch it over to four high or four low the off-roaders will know what that's about anyway uh in terms of safety the number of airbags you get depend on the model you buy the entry level GL model only comes with two airbags so if you know you're going to be traveling with passengers I'd recommend the GLX model because it comes with six airbags I mean look at random stuff like this a whole zebra just in unprovoked but why why I that that zebra look at it look at the commit look at how serious it is ah even Vivo drivers are B look at this thing it left the jum Le it's like no I must catch that green car and I must overtake it look at it the dedication the passion that all its muscles all of its horsepower ah guys M no man no I need to Google what is the 0 to 100 time of a zebra I'm just curious did you guys also notice the friend he also just ran straight into a tree unprovoked anyway moving on this Sand River driving part of the trip was my favorite favorite it gave me the perfect opportunity to do this just slide around in the sand have fun with the steering wheel ah the jymy bring it off-roading it is such a natural it it doesn't even try it's so effortless I had a great time doing this uh if ever you do buy a jimney find scent like this just go and spin around great great stuff man great stuff I was listening to the sound system is actually decent much better than what I've had in other Suzukis I'll post a video on my Instagram stories and on my Tik Tok so I'll leave links in the description in terms of just climbing things they don't call it all grip for nothing this jimney will climb anything you put in front of it so if for whatever reason you find yourself dealing with terrain like this don't stress the jimney will not disappoint you it will not it has heel descent it has heel hold control I mean look at this one just parked on a mountain for Vibes no reason at all just there if you ever need to drive into a swamp it still got you as well the things this car can do will surprise you it is the very definition of a young man with a big heart well done Suzuki well done so after that we made a quick stop to look at this well this is Kido Kido is like a super survival is amazing he just knows the terrain he was showing us the well he poured water for this donkey shout out to I don't know but anyway we saw those drawings cool stuff um yeah that that was pretty much it really then we came down the mountain those are all your Suzukis in all their colors just waiting for us to drive them and we continued from there while we're here tell me which of these colors would you pick which one does it for you I won't say them because they all have unique names so I might say it wrong but I don't know the the the caramel One the red one the green one that's not green the let me know in the comments which color you would go for so as we left this place I spotted some local kids who were like fascinated by the sight of the jimmys you'll see them just now so I decided to just wave at them you know for all I know maybe they are like locals they subscribe to the channel so yeah shout out to the local kids in bwana thank you for waving back they're so friendly we then drove past their Village and because we had been driving all day we're starting to run low on fuel as you may know the Suzuki Jimmy only has a 40 L tank but it's not really a problem because it's really economical it has a claim fuel consumption of 6.4 L to the 100 while I was driving it out on normal roads I obtained 6.9 and 7 L to the 100 and while I was off-roading I obtained 9.2 L to the 100 eventually we made it to Camp Y what a day and as you arrive at Camp I'll take this opportunity to tell you about the service plan the Suzuki jimney comes with a 4year 60,000 km service plan and a 5year 200,000 km warranty and this is where we spend the night for those of you who have night scenes I tried he is a night scene it was too dark to do anything really but I tried so the next morning we continued on with our journey but before we do let's quickly look at the boot and when I say quickly I mean 2 * X quickly I can fit there with my bag proper stuff in terms of capacity you're looking at 211 l so you can easily fit two bags when you go on your journey and you have a spare wheel but the real reason you're watching this review is to find out about the back seats what makes the fiveo special well as you can see the knee room is fine it is a bit tight because it's a jimney after all you can't sit three people at the back you have two seats there as you can see so this car is overall a four- seater there's no Center armrest head room is okay and that's it for your back seats the red Suzuki jimney I've been driving is the entry level 1.5g model it comes in at 429,000 r on finance you're going to pay 8,45 R over 6 years at 12% interest a full tank will only cost you 956 rent because it has a 40 L fuel tank and if you got an insurance premium of 1,700 Rand it would bring your total cost of ownership to 11,061 Rand All In All the entrylevel GL model is great value for money I just don't like that it is too airbags as for the GLX the prices for it are on the screen right now the GLX is the one I'm climbing actually it has cruise control six airbags as I mentioned a 9in touchscreen while the GL only has a 7in touchscreen they both have wireless Apple carplay and Android auto all jimy models come with rear parking sensors and a reversing camera speaking of cameras shout out to my driving partner s she really came through with taking some of the CLI for me I really appre there she's just fighting some bugs but yeah she really came through thank you thank you s I
