[Applause] so [Applause] [Applause] welcome to lake havasu arizona the home of spring break good times and great skateboarding because today it's the site of the 2021 sls championship tour men's finals and the top eight skaters of the weekend are on the course trying to make their case for a trip to the super crown final next month in jacksonville florida thanks for tuning in everyone i'm paul zitzer along with jeff rowley and jeff there's a heavy lineup of skaters on the course right now in the final come on just give me a prediction who's going to take it oh man some heavy heat some heavy heat today but any anyone in the finals today could could win it but let's talk nigel houston go back to salt lake city with second place in salt lake city just squeaked out of that first place the winner of that contest is not in the finals here today with him which leaves niger in pole position everybody has to follow and lead that it's going to take a diverse bag of tricks and a different bag of tricks like jagger eaton has some transition skills some big bank transition skills as well as those big hubble moves that he can do if he makes all his tricks it's going to be difficult and you can never discount desean jordan if he makes those big moves it's going to be a difficult one well we're going to see it all play out momentarily but first let's take a look at the current tour standings gustavo ribeiro up on top and as you mentioned jeff he's not in this final the skaters in gold are the skaters you're gonna be seeing skate today now the point of all this is the top four skaters of the weekend here points wise are gonna go to the finals of the super crown it's gonna be interesting let's send it down to andrew cannon thanks paul down here on the course the mood is definitely tense it is tangible right now there's not a lot of talking all the skaters seem to be really really focused as we head into this finals it's 88 degrees out here the course is definitely warm and the skating itself is going to heat up now jeff you mentioned desean jordan yesterday in the prelims we saw an uncharacteristically low desean jordan run score but he is looking really really comfortable out there today i think if he can post up a good run score that's going to set him up really nicely for all the single tricks back to you thank you andrew cannon and we are moments away from kicking off the final here in lake havasu and now it is time to meet our skaters the first one in from chandler arizona one of two sls winners here in the final today other than niger houston it's deshawn jordan and then we have lucas rabello from brazil 22 years old phenomenal skateboarder very technically diverse great on the rails the canadian mickey papa just finished 10th in tokyo at the olympics and he won the sls tour qualifier in july to get into the tour this year congratulations mickey poppins and that's chris joslin from hawaiian gods in california one of the heaviest beasts out there today does the biggest tricks in the world and a brand new sls pro this year finishing third in salt lake city in august skating in a second final in a row alex midler [Applause] jagger eaton local boy phoenix arizona great bag of tricks very good on the transitions as well as the big rails and hovers no stranger to winning contests so doing well in them [Music] sls pro since 2015 from brazil felipe gustavo coming off a fifth place finish in salt lake city expect big things hard tricks and then the main man that's street league niger houston the most prolific progressive skateboarder on the planet right now he's going to be the one to beat in the finals here today so those are your skaters in the finals now let's talk about how this contest works with the basics brought to you by tech deck there are two sections to sls the line section where each skater get will get one 45-second followed by the single trick section four attempts per skater anywhere on the course now the top three scores count overall regardless of section after all that we're going to take the top four score four skaters and send them to the final that's the super final they get two additional tricks and that'll be it those are the basics brought to you by tech deck here's your start list for the final first skater in will be desean jordan followed by lucas robelo mickey papa chris joslin alex midler jagger eaton felipe gustavo and nigel houston that is a serious lineup jeff like you said earlier any one of these skaters can win here today but can they win if niges at his best will find out desean jordan is on the course for his line starts it up for the nice backside overcrowd from blonde shawn trying to get a better line scoring he did yesterday and quite get a good one on there to start him off get a good foundation his single tricks are exceptional yeah he can he can beat everyone out here in a number of ways and you're going to see it nice nollie 5-0 oh going for that 270 lip to fakie goes a little bit too quick on that he's gonna hustle to get this last trick in oh and that would have counted well desean jordan doesn't quite put it together on that first line had a good start and then two thirds of the way through the run there's that first trick the backside over crooks locked and loaded and there's that nollie five-o in the middle of the line but as we've been talking about there's no going back and fixing your line on the next go that's it for the line section for desean he's going to have to focus on single tricks next skater in from brazil he got second at the sls tour qualifier in july that's what got him here this is his first sls tour stop final he is in skate's like a veteran though jeff very similar bag of tricks somewhat to deshawn when he's on fire he's got those crazy rail and hubba tricks that nobody else can do much like nigel into them yeah tricks like that nice kick flip grind up the ledge kick for 50 50 gets away from him solid hustle gonna be 10 seconds probably going to be the final trick of the line it's gearing up for getting down boom no slide to fakie think he wanted to take that 180 nose grind but didn't quite lock him but still clean move regardless yeah so that line leaves something to be desired from lucas also he put in some good tricks not his best work seemed better from him no but it gets it moving gets those cobwebs off and he got some good tricks in there there's that crooked grind up the hubber into the bank doesn't quite get that kickflip 50 50. losing rhythm on his line see what he gets 6.6 not bad it's a solid score more than twice what deshawn put up on the board just now next in mickey papa skating in his first ever sls final from canada and mickey's been a contest killer forever yeah born and raised in the contest circuit as well too very consistent skateboarder skate skated in exceptionally good in the qualifier incredibly good hope he can do that again today nice blunt back 780. [Music] nice use of the course oh going for that nollie front side crooked grind didn't quite lock in a little bit of wheel bite nice finish long kick flip like it was nothing yeah good recovery on that had a couple of bales wasn't really 100 had some good moves in there like that switched salad grind river if we go back and look at what happened in salt lake city all these skaters are trying to make the the top four to get to the super final here today right in salt lake city as long as the skater did a solid run and made two tricks they made that top four the the ones outside the top four didn't even put in two tricks so it's like there's some strategy to consider there all right maybe consistency will win the day here we'll find out chris joslin is on deck best ever finish in a sls event was second in los angeles back in 2018 shaky nose blunt get the ball rolling nice loose trucks clean alley-oop put the extension backside lip slide joslyn's such a powerful skateboarder i find i find that he runs out of course a lot he really does holy crook grind nice heel flip it's uh different to see him keep keeping it a little bit mellow we're ready for him to fly he'll get there nice tray for the pope gonna have to hustle on this one he's got it that would have been a great way to end your line backside kick flip over the hubba right on the buzzer but it's not to be here's the slow-mo that nollie crooker grind very cleanly executed 4.5 gonna have to work a little higher on that we need to see some heavy big moves from chris in the single trick section coming up next alex midler [Music] street league skateboarding is brought to you by monster energy proud sponsor of street league skateboarding since 2010. by visible wireless that is better with friends buy skater xl available now on playstation xbox and pc welcome back to lake havasu arizona you're watching the sls championship tour stop number two this is the men's final and for a deeper look at this awesome course here is manny santiago and thiago lamos with the skater xl course preview what's going on guys it is manny santiago i am here with thiago lamos we're here at the second stop of australia skateboarding at beautiful lake havasu and we're gonna bring you the skater xl course preview let's go all right so we're gonna start on the back end of the skate park where we have the beautiful view of lake havasu we got quarter pipe galore with a ginormous tombstone quarter pipe in the middle which leads you straight into the middle section the switch blade of the center you have a bump to rail a euro gap a bump to flat bar a bump to down hubba and that is it for the center all right last but not least we have the big section which as you can tell has a perfectly big hubba in the center it's actually a gap to hubba and then on the side we have the newly added hubba rails which are really long and fun but scary to skate so this is it for the second stop of street skateboarding here at lake havasu of course preview brought to you by skater excel i'm manny santiago [Music] there's a shot of that course it's a beautiful course a lot of room out there lots of options for everyone jeff yeah excellent course here left for the local skate community beautiful lake havasu right on the edge of the lake with a great view world class skate park so next month in jacksonville florida it's the super crown world championship presented by kariuma and you can be there but you got to buy tickets go to streetleague.com get on it before they're gone [Music] we are halfway through the line section here in the men's final of the championship tour lake havasu arizona stop and it's been a good one so far it's only going to get better alex midler on deck brand new sls pro this year he placed third in salt lake city in august skating in his second final in a row he's in for his line starts off with a heavy half cab to 50 50. nice backside disaster backside d in the big quarter pipe quick over crook cap to smith looking very smooth and effortless putting it together look at this gap up to the quarter pipe lip slide combo that's heavy quick tail slide this is going to be probably the last trick [Applause] oh that would have been the most incredible line that we've seen so far let's take a look at the visible replay here camping around into that 50 50 to start the line out lots of heavy tricks another one like this cab to backside smith grind i think alex midler is one of the most underrated pros out he is a beast he has so many tricks he's so good and consistent he can do it all he puts it down in the streets and in the contest that's right paul really good at spinning 360s backsides and backside 360s and his caballero 7.5 julie noted excellent line puts alex up in first place beautifully done and on deck olympics olympic bronze medalist he got us a wild card spot in here from tampa pro two weeks ago it's jagger eaton it's the guy i wanted to watch here in the finals today i just think he can bring something a little bit different kickflip backside lip slide as well as those kind of rail tricks like that kickflip back lip that fairly stable for most guys he's so well-rounded but the thing is he's just unbelievably consistent he is gonna make all his tricks and he's a contest attacker he's won contests before he knows exactly what it's like he knows how to play the game can handle the pressure and he's showing it right now putting together an excellent line nice blunt kick flip solid pump to get the speed for the hobo the rail switch 180 nose grind oh man that was that was a big perfect run that was something else local boy bringing it right here in the desert the dry heat means nothing to this guy he loves it you called it at the top of the show jeff there's that beautiful view of lake havasu in the background backside nose blunt setting up for that kickflip backside lip slide those are two tricks to put back to back that are going to be tough and look at that back backside with any nose ground there's that final trick switch 180 nose grind and let's see how the judges mark that i think they're going to be feeling it oh hey now nine o'clock nine club way to bring that desert heat jagger eaton adding to it first nine of the day okay he's in the driver's seat put some pressure on the skaters still to come i wouldn't want to follow that one up next up we got felipe gustavo another one who yesterday in qualifying was exceptional we talk about felipe he could win he can win but he has to stay on he but his tricks are so hard that's asking a lot and perfect he does them so cleanly and beautifully nice switch back side tail slide front switch front side flip up the step great combo right though down the big hover and then a technical trick on the flat ground oh kick the crook sticks we hear about the wax melting off these hovers and rails this desert heat is real yeah there's the heat melts everything oh yeah perfection gnarly kickflip no slide down the big hubba that's a single trick in itself shows you the level of these guys man when they can just knock that stuff out now it goes back to so felipe had that one fall in the run we'll see how much it cost him because the rest of that run was incredible there's that final trick of the nollie kick flip lands beautifully into nose sliding comes out had some heavy tricks but that one kickflip crook really put a crook in it pun intended waiting on that score trying to trying to make it into the top four of course trying to get into the first place spot but you can't get a nine plus with a fall most likely in a run jagger eaton sitting on top niger houston still to come is really thinking about this one 6.9 it's good enough for third place and next in the six time sls world champion nigel houston skating for monster energy coming off a second place finish in salt lake city and he was not okay with it he looked very strong too as well paul i mean we've been watching nigel warm up and try to get into the finals for many years now and at that last event i thought he looked really on point he looked like he kind of cleaned things up a little bit was very focused and that's why he got second place and he's coming into this one looking very strong with a great line so far truly and and in the prelims yesterday he he qualified first it looked pretty easy for him he kind of just cruised through to first place look at that 360 flip once it goes to the single tricks it's hard for anybody to compete with niger he has those tricks that are just you just need that level of board control that very few have the average for niger's above everyone else like that wow on that molly nose grind that was the second perfect run we've seen here in the final jagger got a nine for his any predictions are we just gonna wait and see what happens those poor judges look at this level of skateboarding kickflip backside lips like that front foot looked like it was gonna not come on there but it did and then there's that nollie when he knows grind just squeaks it around at the end crowd was loving that line a 9.0 is the score to beat for first right now before we move into the single trick section and there you go 9.1 he does it 9.1 for niger houston wow yeah getting some love though from the homies there's that fakie 5-0 and then there's that switch he'll flip up the step up setting the ball rolling keeping the heat on everybody every competitor here today and that's not his strength his strength is the single tricks still nigel houston is in the lead with a 9.1 you're watching the sls championship tour from lake havasu well we talked about niger being in that pole position he's certainly doing that right now he's certainly showing us that true level of ability we're gonna send it down to andrew cannon for a quick report thanks paul so that line section right there wild we only saw three skaters improve on their scores from yesterday's prelims we saw felipe gustavo we saw jagger eaton and we saw naija houston now felipe only improved by just a little bit but jagger got a nine naija got a 9.1 i think what we are set up to see right now is a battle between jagger eaton and nigel houston as we head into the single tricks you guys have any predictions well i believe that if we keep seeing this level of skateboarding from niger houston it's over for everyone and it's a battle for second i i agree with you somewhat there paul but i'd still think the single tricks we have a couple of guys in here that if they get their tricks and on the same level as niger it's going to be close one desean jordan lucas robelo alex midler jagger eaton thank you andrew we'll talk to you later let's talk about super crown next month happening in jacksonville florida all right head over to streetleague.com to buy tickets for jacksonville next month november 13th through 14th 2021 it's the super crown world championship presented by kariuma street lead brings out the legends jeff hey you're one i'm sitting next to a legend jeff rowley but there's one kareem campbell kareem campbell great to have kareem out here today showing love for the skate community just coming to watch skateboarding hang with everybody very respected legendary skateboarder what a day great skateboarding still to come here's our new start order for the single trick section so once again each skater is going to get four single trick attempts and once those are over top three scores will be added together and the top four skaters will move on to the super final where they'll get an additional two trick attempts we'll see who comes out on top so first skater in sitting in eighth place desean jordan he's the only skater in this final other than nigel houston to have a victory in sls here we go [Applause] do you see the poise on that jack yeah nice nice catch good clean 50 50 drop down take a look at the visible replay here just beautifully spun around very well controlled and timed on that 360 flip 50 50 landed beautifully with both trucks locked down he's got to be happy with that after after not the best line making a good strong comeback solid 8.3 chris joslin now we need to see chris do one of those heavy moves we know him for like that going for the backside 360. big launch of the flat yeah he's usually good for that trick straight out the gate didn't quite get the the head dip before we rotate it on that one right and with the with this new format there's just not a lot of time for bales mickey papa is in there you go nollie backside 180 fakie nose grind pulling it back forward did it really well too good speed take another look shoulders bringing it back around it's got a lot of control to spin it one way and then pull it back the opposite way always 7.8 great score for mickey boom he's on top the leaderboard next skater in from brazil talk about somebody who can spin spin tricks around and then reverse them on the landing lucas rubello here we go oh nolly cab to no slide wow that's the kind of stuff that we need to see that's how you're going to compete with the with everything that niger houston can bring out pull out tricks that nobody else does the last time i saw anybody do that in sls is yuto right like that's uto level that is a serious trick that's going to be a great score [Music] the nine lucas rubello's in the nine club with a 9.0 way to step that up [Music] that puts lucas rubello in first place let's find out a little bit more about felipe gustavo before we bring him in my name is felipe gustavo i'm from brazil brazil daily life like all depends you know usually wake up some coffee stretch a little bit go down to the gym get a little workout done straight go to the outside store when i say republic it's my own like outside store you know it's a franchise for my homies from the oc being open for like two or three months and authentic that's how you from brazil can't wait for you guys to try super crown i feel like it's more beast than anything you know i only been one so like that was epic for being you know in real life stop you know like that's like your resume of the year contest-wise so what have you done kind of you know like i think everybody wants to win one um but i think my time will come i'm not stressing you know it's always funny like every time i make it fine i'm like oh you're going to win let me like dude die trust me i'm trying it's easy you know like my time will come right there challenge his time will come today could be the day very positive message from felipe gustavo currently sitting in seventh place he got a great run score with the six nine he's in oh nolly flip nose slide just sags out of the end a little bit was he going to crook no i don't think so i think he just kind of came out a little bit loose at the end and probably didn't feel that good on his ankles i would say yeah but skateboarding is a heavy thing to do it's very physical it will get you so falls count for zero in the single trick section alex midler on deck he's been skateboarding since he was three years old and it shows it's his second sls final in a row big old backside 360 ollie oh blowing a kiss to the fans that was perfect the landing on that just bolts yeah solid big trick see that nice clean control of the head good wrap around minimal compression on the landing here he knew he'd got that when he took off he knew his head was in a good spot he knew when he came down boom bolts like that heavy move from alex midler 8.0 well rewarded alex midler moves up into second place coming off a run score of a nine jagger eaton in for his first attempt close now that is one of jagger eaton's go-to tricks sideways flip faking nose grind not quite sticking the landing moving on to niger houston he's in fifth place but that's just after one run 9.1 three scores count whoa niger just going for it straight out the gate fakie to front blunt down the hubba you see he's feeling it you are watching the 2021 sls championship tour stop number two from lake havasu all right it's the single trick section back to the top of the order desean jordan on deck for attempt number two here in the men's final from lake havasu to sean jordan sitting in fourth place oh yeah 360 kick flip nose slide nice from deshaun jordan locked in 360 flip 50 50 for the first move switching it over to no slide that was beautiful beautifully done too solid flip and catch and lock into the nose slide goes the whole way lands his feet right over the bolts minimal compression all stoke deshawn struggled in the run section got a 3.2 came back strong with the 360 flip 50 and now this 8.4 new leader desean jordan chris joslin on deck sitting in eighth place this one's got to count chris ah again doesn't quite get the wrap around so with this format he's only got two more tries he has to make both tries and that's got to be ridiculous tricks if he wants to win or be in the top three as well yeah so the top four skaters move on to the super final where they get an additional two tricks mickey papa coming in in fourth place oh it's nollie he'll flip front side bullet slide the level of these tricks is just stepping up and up and up that was gnarly just unbelievable mickey papa he got a five eight in the run he got a seven eight on his last try and now this nollie heel front board perfect and we talked we've been talking all weekend about how long those blue rails are and to do that trick you've got to get over the rail so he has to go further over because it's a wide rail right a lot more room for error that's a gnarly trick 8.7 excellent for mickey papa mickey papa new leader three solid scorers posted with two tries still to go he's put himself in a great spot lucas rabello sitting in third just place off a nine trying to keep it going wow front side 270 to switch back lift that's like his new signature move i mean he can do that trick he'll do it anywhere but to do it with a gap to it on a flat long rail where you're spinning you got to wrap your whole hips over the top of it before you slide shows an incredible level of control unbelievable a 6.8 will put him in first and an eight will put him way up in first new leader lucas rabello he is skating like such a veteran wow felipe gustavo in next coming off a fall wants to stick this one otherwise he's going to be in a hole but he doesn't want to have to dig himself out of yeah he gets it yes nollie kick flip crooked grind can you believe this i can't there's that beautiful slow-mo the perfectly executed nollie kick flip crooked grind got that front truck right over it too nothing sloppy about that getting some love from the crowd 8.3 solid score that's the kind of stuff we need to see from felipe one more of that alex midler coming in currently sitting in fourth place that's good enough to go to the super final if it were to end right now it's not over plenty of skateboarding still to come this is a second single trick attempt yes caballero backside tailslight fakie alex midler showing those big tricks [Music] take a look at the visible replay on this one locked and spinning around into the backside tail slate comes out fakie very cleanly executed and locked into the backside tail slide good hype on that one good stoke crowd loved it so the the stoke level jeff is rising here everybody is putting down trick after trick jagger eaton in next he's in seventh coming off of a fall but he's got that nine from the run section he just needs to take advantage of it with some makes here oh there you go wow did you see that kickflip 180 fakie nose grind that's not a trick that you see somebody just throw out there down a hubba or anything like that it's a the precision involved in flicking and landing on that front truck like that backwards every go special skill special ball control to be able to do that jagger eating stepping it up so sitting on the nine from the run section adding an 8.7 bumping up into fifth place just outside that four cut to the super final but it's okay he's got two more attempts to get a third score nigel houston on deck coming off a fall in that fakey front blunt wow now that is a niger houston trick that is a beautiful that's one of the most awkward dangerous just everything is done blind yeah and you're going down the biggest obstacle on the whole course coming in fakie front side half cab to blunt coming back fakie that is something else right there a few viewers watching it to see that live in all its glory wow so he needs an 8.7 for fifth but that's only because he doesn't have a third score up yet once he does after this you know things could change he's setting himself up because he had the 9.1 then he had the fall and now this 8.9 there you go almost in that nine club but man that was heavy there is your current leader right now alex midler [Music] download today's lake havasu stop in true skate now with a new character it's available in the app store or on google play get after it play this course right here on your phone [Music] current standings here from lake havasu alex midler up on top of the 23.7 followed by lucas rebelo mickey papa and deshawn jordan rounding out the top four now let's take a look at the basics brought to you by tech deck we saw the line section already that's in the books now each skater gets four single trick attempts we've seen two we got two more to go and the top three scores count regardless of section after all of that we're gonna take the top four skaters and give them two more attempts each and then we'll find out our winner here today from havasu it has been it's been intense uh this the level of skating here today is legitimate the highest ever this is crazy desean jordan in for his third trick attempt oh wow what full speed caballerial backside lip slide fakie i thought he was loading up for something like he needed extra speed for that was rad he was cruising again he had the run where he only got a 3.2 and then he's come back strong oh drops that rail right over the other side too look at that back truck drop over boom back fakie so he's sitting in fourth before this score comes in and he's trying to get rid of a 3.2 anything better than that is going to help his case 7.4 boom there's your new leader jeff that's how you do it play the game he knows how to do it evidently he sure does i mean he's got a win in his pocket he's been there before he did it in chicago that year joslin it's not happening for chris joslin today that was his third bale in a row essentially guaranteeing he's not gonna make top four can't do it i think that was a tactic though try the hardest thing he can think of right there that he could pull yeah it's always good to see him going for it like that that's chris joslin right there bigger the better mickey papa coming off two strong trick scorers trying to replace a 5.8 from the run section nope no catch on that switch hard flip doesn't quite get the flick needed so mickey sitting in fourth i mean that could change really quick he's going to want to make his final trick on deck lucas ribello sitting in third he's got three scores posted his lowest score right now is the 6.6 from the run section so anything better than that is gonna increase his points trying to lock in a top four spot to the super final need to see one of those rails or hover tricks that nobody else can do from lucas like what we've been seeing oh wow front 270 front nose slide high level trick right there didn't quite get the take off and lock it in like he needed it's going to put some heat on for his last trick felipe gustavo in next in seventh place he has two scores posted anything he does right now is going to help but the 7.2 is going to move him up into the top four he was fighting the landing uncharacteristically he stomped right into that nose grind and then was forced to deal with the absolute explosion that came with that look how locked in boom just hangs in there and yet at the same time he did it with a lot of speed a lot of control perfectly balanced no real sketch that speed wobbles is what that is or wheel bite all wobbles 7.2 gets it done see if there's any points doc for the sketch if he gets full credit nine great to see that's the kind of skateboard we want to see in the finals here today rip roaring so three skaters left before we go back to the top of the order for final tries alex midler is in third oh he almost went over the whole hover dangerous moment though for alex for a split second alex still sitting on three good scores so nothing to stress about yet jagger eaton and nigel houston still to come jagger in seventh but again he just needs he needs to make a trick now put three scores up and he'll be looking good he only needs a six even to move into the top four [Music] break right here for jagger eaton [Applause] oh going for that switch backside noseblind slide it's heating up right here with guys bailing like that right towards the end it's anybody's game so jagger is gonna have one more try to put post a third score he has a nine in the 8.7 those those falls those hurt nigey houston monster energy skater currently in sixth same scenario two great scores needs a third he's got it wow only 180 knows grind pulls it back forward now is is that a tactic move or is that because we know he could do heavier tricks than that i that is a smart tactic moves i mean put something down get the points then get yourself into the top four win it in the in the super final right i mean there's no question cleanly executed i i love the fact though that niger can do all those different tricks he has he has 50 tricks he can go to 8.0 boom new leader doing the right thing again putting heat in everybody else he knows how to do that he just waits steps in and goes okay you guys can play catch up now yeah if you need me i'll be prepping for my real moves they're coming in a minute all right back to the top of the order final attempts here in the single trick section desean jordan he's in third he wants more oh are you kidding me joe oh my god talk about that i don't know there was spinning there was flipping there was rail sliding that's a bigger flip to front side board slide down the bigger hover rail which is wide it's fat it's not forgiving when you land in a board slide more than a 50 50 and you'll see that here look at that spin and flip and he has to push it out there's that much like resistance for it to slide what's the when he lands in it doesn't want to slide on him it's like nope you're gonna stick he has to push down that's gonna be huge and just so you at home know jeff literally jumped out of his chair for that one so feeling it that's the heaviest trick that we've seen so far today needs a 9.4 to move into the lead it's gonna be a nice level 9.1 moves into second place huge move for deshaun jordan there's another look that straight looks you can see that full 360 flip over rotate in the front side board slide a lot of moves going on there that was that was incredible another guy from the desert bringing the desert heat gotta love that chris joslin he's out of it this is for the love and the homies oh chris trying to land on the moon on that one crowd loves chris johnson they truly do every event people scream from they just want to see him go big yeah you want to see some somebody fly why we're going to give it to you i want to see someone go big every day mickey papa in for his final single trick attempt he's in sixth place he needs a 7.3 to move on oh nice nollie hilton backside 50 50. that should about do it i think we're going to be close it's a trick a staple for him playing the similar trick to niger knows when to play the contest game just get another good high scoring trick down alec midler is in fourth right now overall score of 23-7 so mickey gets the 7.5 gets it done he's in fourth alex midler is now outside the super final this is good like this it's heating up lucas rubello in sixth needs a 7.1 to bump mickey out so it's basically like this jeff if lucas makes whatever he's about to try try a 7.1 or better so as long as he's smart enough to not go too far forward [Music] can i around maybe should have gone for some a little cl easier and safer just to get through but that's it man the level's so high you've got to go for it or you're going home anyway yeah and this is the final i mean they made it this far props to everyone who's skating right now this is tough the best skaters in the world doing their best tricks and landing on felipe gustavo in for his final attempt his lowest score is from the line section 6.9 anything better than that helps but an 8-8 will put him in the lead [Applause] click gets caught up in his shoe didn't quite get it to go around that's unfortunate felipe so felipe is going to finish right now in third place there's three skaters still to go only niger is still ahead of felipe at that point alex midler and jagger could bump felipe down into fourth and down to fifth potentially so that fall could hurt but we'll see we'll see alex midler on deck final attempt oh what that was just straight hail mary going for the win alex midler props for that props to that going for the cab flip to back lip or back tail hard to know regardless very heavy trick all right so now felipe gustavo has guaranteed his spot in the final and third mickey papa is in the danger zone jagger eaton needs a 6'4 to bump him out and take that final spot oh there you go yeah done deal molly 180 to switch crook orders backside nose grind whichever one you want to call he did pull that up epic moves so 6.4 or better sends mickey papa packing look how well he looks into that [Music] there's another angle so you can see how much he bones it down let's switch crook he's psyched on that say yeah that was in our super final will be set as soon as we find out where jagger eaton lands mickey papa standing by waiting in the wings bad news is in for mickey papa 7.6 for jagger eaton moving him into third place and there you go it's going to be niger deshawn jagger and felipe gustavo in the super final we have final single trick attempt from nigel houston and this is straight practice well now it can't he can't you he should just keep going because it's super final time he's trying to get rid of an eight just trying to increase his lead oh catback knows blunt wow wow incredible so let's say that's higher than than eight we gotta assume it's going to be higher than an eight he's going to be increasing his lead as we go into the super final well that's where you need to be when you're niger houston you need to constantly put that heat bring the tricks push that progression push the level that's it right there nigel is on fire out here nine club nine three for nigel houston the highest score of the day take another look coming in fakie in that pulling on the same game caballeria the backside noseblind slide the degree of difficulty the degree of just awkwardness and gnarliness 9.3 niger houston [Applause] let's take a look at the standings here we go nigel houston up on top with that 27.3 followed by desean jordan jagger eaton and felipe gustavo those are the top four skaters advancing to the super final with two additional tries there is our leader nigel houston will be seeing him coming up with his final two tricks uh [Music] [Music] my [Music] wow [Music] ciao [Music] [Music] welcome back to lake havasu arizona it's the 2021 sls championship tour stop number two the super final is about to begin the four skaters moving on are set and it has been an absolutely insane day here are your monster final four making the cut get to see two more tricks from each skater they they keep the scores coming into this it's still their top three scores count they get two more tries let's take a look at the season standings so gustavo ribeiro up on top from his win in salt lake city followed by niger alex midler kelvin hoffler those are the top four coming into this all the skaters you see in gold the skaters here in the finals today they're gonna be getting extra points everybody's trying to finish the season in the top four and go straight to the going to sell out fast jeff you and i are gonna have the best seats in the house can't wait that's right all right here we go final trick attempts felipe gustavo is in oh locks in nicely [Applause] [Music] slide just gets away from him double zeros for every bale and we're going to keep it going jagger eaton he's in third he needs a 9-7 for first but his lowest score is a 7-6 anything better than that is going to help him oh going for that switchbacks like noseblind that would have done it you know what that may have cost him the chance to win we will see them desean jordan in second trying to drop an 8.3 anything better than that is gonna help him he needs a nine nine for first let's just say anything better than that eight three is what we're looking for [Music] bringing the new moves right there nolian would heal to board slide he was flying over the rail so nigel houston just making it happen here today in lake havasu commanding lead in first oh going for the switch he'll flip 5-0 all right so four falls in a row and the first of two extra tries evens it out a little bit all right you're watching men's super final from lake havasu it's the sls championship tour final try still to go with nigel houston up on top all right back to the top of the order with felipe gustavo he needs an 8.6 for second place meaning he can't touch niger [Music] he can do he can get an 8.6 quick though oh he has the tricks man he has the moves that's for sure he has the consistency too to do it one of the nicest people that you will meet felipe gustavo radical human being oh wow that was tight that was locked and tight he did that like he did on a flat ground ledge wow listen here's that visible replay coming up [Music] switch kick flip to tail slide bolts wow it doesn't get any cleaner than that or any smoother look at that no shake no foot movement and a good big roar and stoke him out let's see what the judge is thinking nine club oh yes nine even gustavo that moves felipe into second place now jagger eaton needs to make this right here yo no he doesn't do it he does not get it and that's gonna leave jagger eaton in fourth place [Applause] wow okay deshawn jordan last try needs a 9.9 for first place he's in third get it desean get him he could catch felipe gustavo can he catch niger oh he sticks it wow he did not i did not see him even try that in practice even look at it nollie inward heel front board he popped it he caught it about a foot above the ledge above the hobo look at that that score is going to be huge jeff a 9.9 gives them the win that's going to be a tough cookie to get 9.9 anytime but still regardless top level world-class skateboarding from deshaun jordan gnarly tricks the crowd went wild he's from phoenix arizona is felipe gustavo safe in second place felipe has felipe has one third place finish in his past desean has one win in his past will he get another one will it be a 9-9 oh it's just a nine club 9.3 deshawn jordan moves into second place and the podium is set niger houston is the winner here in lake havasu back on top pretty much where he belongs jeff oh pole position always what's this switch he'll flip 5-0 strictly for the crowd and for the love of the game i think he was smiling all the way through that try right there oh he's heading towards the crowd oh so awesome good to see man much love from the local lake havasu skate community and probably a lot from around the surrounding areas of arizona thank you for coming out niger houston our winner and our champ today yep making up for what happened in salt lake city where niger killed it but placed second you mess with the best the best don't mess let's take another look this just just you know for the fun oh maybe fish the grind switch heel manny down the hubba what a day of skateboarding there's your winner nigel houston six time world champion going back to 2010 he's he's a winner and uh he's not looking like he's slowing down no he's looking like he's getting better right now that's what i see i see it i i feel sorry for everybody else has to compete against him in the next event yeah yeah let's talk about desean jordan in second place i mean he absolutely smashed it we knew he had it in the right to pull out those moves and tricks but it comes down to every single one of them every single one of them has got to be to the best of your ability you ain't gonna win [Applause] street league skateboarding has been brought to you by monster energy proud sponsor of street league skateboarding since 2010 by tech deck start small go big are your top three and let's send it down to andrew cannon for the interview nadja after a tough finish in salt lake what was your mindset coming into this one out here in havasu yeah salt lake was a little bummy out a little bit you know i've gotten so many second places throughout my lifetime it's hard to be satisfied with anything but first but my mindset's always the same you know just go out there and do what i can to win you know people are kids are always asking like oh you're gonna you're gonna win this one you're ready i'm like bro it's just it's skateboarding you know you can't win everyone but you can't go out there and give it your all and i was feeling really good today feeling really good all weekend and it was a little stressful because i've been skating street league for i think 11 years now and i think i've won at least one every year so this one i was like i only have like two more chances so i gotta make it happen so i'm hyped what does this one mean to you in your in your whole scope of this year and how the past year's gone i mean really every every win these days is just meaning more and more to me because i've been out here doing it for so long and i am one of the older guys out there in the finals now so i'm just thankful that i'm still healthy enough to keep up with these guys and i'm curious to see how much longer i can go i think i got some good
